Hello everybody! I'm Lisa and will be one of your Mods of the Month for December. ^______^
Here on SS, I started teaching Muggle Studies in the School RPG last term and play Professor Jeremy Zookara who a lot of people fangirl over I don't know why  . Before that I was Slytherin Prefect for one term and at some point I used to be Shopkeeper Assistant for Madam Malkin's in the Diagon Alley RPG.
Furthermore, I moderate and Head the Newbie Forum - yes, exactly the one you're posting in at the moment so that's awesome, eh?  - and am one of the two German Mods in the Language Forums.
I just celebrated my three year SS anniversary on December 1st and I'm really really glad I joined back then as there are so many amazing people on here who I'm really glad I had the chance to meet. And I'm always up to meeting new peeps too. ^__^
Off SS, I'm turning 19 this month and am from Austria, yes, Austria as in the Sound of Music. xD I'm currently in my first semester of university in Vienna, studying 'English and American Studies' and 'Theater-, Film- and Media Studies'. I like to read and am a TV Series nerd...oh, and I like Greek Mythology and Ryan Reynolds movies.

Hehe...favorite Ryan scene...my favorite Ryan movie I'd say is Definitely, Maybe (surprise, surprise. xD) and favorite sceeeeeneee...hm... when he's outside on the balcony in The Proposal. ...probably some scene in Definitely, Maybe...oh, maybe the one where they're in the zoo and are watching the penguins and Maya tells the cute story about husband and wife penguins. Favorite TV shows? I love them ALL. xD Private Practice, The OC, Misfits, NCIS, Bones, Crossing Jordan and loads more...oh, and I just started watching Scrubs and I love it...hehe...oh, and I really need to get into Parenthood again.
A wish just for me?  I've always wanted to be an actress sooooo probably that...I wouldn't have to be famous, it's not about that, more about acting as such, and having fun doing it. Did that answer your question?
Switch places with anybody? Scarlett Johansson. I know it might sound cheesy but I really can't think of anybody I'd want to switch places with...I'm quite content with my life.

Do you know where in Australia you would like to go?
The best places would be either the Gold Coast in Queensland or Western Australia. GC for the Theme parks and mass of beaches and popularity with tourists and WA because there are some fantastic views to see out there. There is also Central Australia, where you can see our giant rock! (Uluru/Ayers Rock) but, that's just my opinion and knowledge of my own country...

I love performance, I'm actually in a musical at my college right now, "Scrooge! The Musical" and it premieres next week so I'm really excited about that. (:
I am from the US, and I did not know that there was an "American Studies" major at universities. Sorry to sound so culturally unaware, but what is that exactly, why would you major in it, and what do you do with it? Is it like an American history major?
Also, do you like cheese?

Weeelll, I'm not sure in how far college in the US is different from here but one of the things which are really different from school is that there are no attendance lists, so you don't HAVE to go to lectures if you don't want to because nobody checks anyway. So even though you of course miss what has been covered in the lecture, it's often very difficult to get out of bed in the morning when you're thinking 'Well, nobody cares if I'm there anyway.'. Do you know what I mean? There's nobody who tells you off when you don't come to lectures etc. Did that make sense?

Lulz, well, it's not only American Studies...it's English and American Studies...and no, English in this case doesn't stand for the language (or not ONLY) but also for the UK. So we learn about the language (including different dialects/accents/etc. ) AND the British and American Culture...and about English literature. Erm, did that answer your question?
