Hello and welcome to all the beautiful SSers out there! My name is Kerri and I am SO excited to be meeting you guys! Are you new to SS? *BEAM* We are so pleased and happy that you've joined our craziness. If you aren't new...Well, thank you for visiting me!

For starters, I joined SnitchSeeker in August 2009 (almost FOUR years ago)! I initially flocked here because of masterofmystery's news stories (since more Potter movies were set to come out around that time)...but then I discovered the RPG. The way these people roleplayed was unlike anything I'd ever seen before, not that I was total newb. I'd done my fair share around other sites...That didn't stop me from being thoroughly impressed, curious, intrigued, and excited by them, though. Yes. ALL those things in that order. After I sorted, this girl became a SNAKE and thus my characters were born...and my RPing-love flourished.

I play three different characters at the moment, all active in different parts of the RPG. In the Hogwarts RP, I am the Slytherin Quidditch Captain, Dylan Montmorency. He's a total jerk who loves throwing his good looks and fabulous hair around to get his way (which usually works!). Girls enable him...So, I partially blame them!

In the Ministry, I play Gryffindor House alumni Abilene Schirmer, Department Head of the Specialty Area. She's a generally kind woman who likes giving chances, being fair, and having tea with her employees. If you have a MoM charrie, have them stop by and visit. We like company!

Last but not least is Christina Scott, shopkeeper of the Shrunken Head Bowling Alley in Diagon Alley. She's sharp and inquisitive (a graduate of Ravenclaw House)...and likes to ask questions. She's one that'll inquire you to death if you let her...So, best be mentally prepared for that one.

When it comes to moderation...I help tend to the Ministry of Magic, Outside of the Ministry...and the North End of the Street (in the Diagon Alley). As well as all my shop threads. ALSO, I'm involved with Yearbook (as a writer) and the Fan Clubs (something that's NOT RPG-related).

Naturally, I do have a life outside of SS (a small one, but it's THERE)! I'm a fulltime mother to an energetic six year old boy who definitely keeps me on my toes. I used to work for the Department of Social Services, but quit so that I could be at home with him more. Things we enjoy doing together include (but are NOT limited to): watching Disney movies, playing Legos and building Lego Marvel and DC Heroes, and coloring.

I think as a group, the X-Men are my favorite Marvel Comic characters as a whole. Singularly, though...Iron Man. I dig him.

Favorite song? I think THE song right now is "Young Blood" by The Naked and Famous. I first heard it when I was watching The Almightly Johnsons and I literally listen to it everyday. I love it that much.

Favorite thing to do when you're bored (apart from SS and internet ) - Bake. I love to make brownies, cakes, cookies...or SING. I suppose singing more than baking. YES. Okay, playing guitar and singing. That's what I do when I'm bored and not in front of my laptop.

Favorite charrie to be RP. - Dylan. Hands down.

Actually...No. Dylan is very much his own person. We don't always agree but he's the type of charrie that makes his own decisions and sticks by them. Doesn't change his mind often....and I can't complain. He's honest and true to himself. What else could I really ask for?

The most difficult thing about the Captain is dressing him. He is PICKY.

To be honest, I can't really say. My charries have minds of their own...and if one of them FELT Puffer to me, I suppose I'd make them as such...but it'd be up to them. That's not something I just decide.

The A Team. Hands down. *grins at*

As a starting point, I'd suggest just getting the feel of the character. I ALWAYS start with a model. I have to know what the charrie looks like in order to know other indepth things about them (like I did with Dylan.) I used Boyd Holbrook, who is extremely OPEN with himself...and has an underlying intensity about him that fits my boy like a glove.

I think it's important to not force it, too. Cheesy happens when things like dialogue are forced...and don't feel natural to the character.

So, questions to ask yourself: Do I want him to be a nice guy? A bad boy? A smarty-pants? It also doesn't hurt to build up some history. A back story gives good RP plot points for charries (guys especially).

A boy. The fangirling is just so LULZ to deal with.

I mean, don't get me wrong. I love getting sassy with girl charries...but Dylan is ten-times more sassy than any girl I've ever RP'd.

Heh! When I first sorted, I did it by my charrie at the time, Marilyn (who was a little nightmare). Independant, stubborn, and manipulative. *BEAMS* I think it's best to do it that way...so that your character doesn't end up in a house they don't belong in. *nods* All the houses are great, though. So, any one of them would be lucky to have you.

Hmph. I think this is easy. When Dylan got Captain. It was a defining moment...because he realized that..."Oh snap. I'm responsible for others." There wasn't anymore time to goof off and be a TOOT (basically). He had to get serious, determined, focused...and think about the welfare of his team.

I'm personally glad because it helped him grow up....some. *smirk*

Just keep in mind...you will be able to resort when you have participated in SEVEN TERMS of RP in whatever house you get sorted into. That roughly equals out to a little over two years. *smirks* No worries, though. Your house will became like your family. I LOVE mine...

Well, I hope you get the house you want! *grins* All of them are cool...I just think mine's the best. *clears throat* You know, House loyalty...That comes with all the Houses, though. Everyone's pretty loyal...#SnitchSeekerPride

Oh, no. I've been Captain for...going on 3 terms now. Dylan is pretty hardcore about it all. Takes the role more serious than he should...and the game itself is setup with questions being asked and then certain people from both teams answering. There are Quaffle questions, Bludger questions, and Snitch questions. I'm Captain and Seeker for Slytherin...So, the only questions I answer are the Snitch ones. It's basically a speed trivia thing.

We'll have to do a scrimmage for you to observe. I'm exhausted and probably didn't explain that well at all.
