Default Welcome to the Shrunken Head Bowling Alley!

Welcome to the Shrunken Head Bowling Alley!

Thank you to Pixie for the graphics.

Situated on the North End of the Street you can find a building which doesn't really look that new but is home to a brand new shop: a bowling alley. Naturally, you are curious what this new shop has to offer so you enter, maybe full of expectations which are about to become true or well, not and you're faced with something you had not anticipated at all. Either way, be sure to stick around long enough to see what the bowling alley is all about.

The first thing you might notice is the flashing sign right above the Shrunken Head Bowling Counter which suggests that this is where you should go first. From there you can already see the bowling lanes, divided up into three sectors: One to Four, Five to Eight and Nine to Twelve. Even from here you can hear distinct shouts from one of the bowling balls, telling whoever just threw it what a terrible player they are and that they are probably better off going home and knitting a pair of nice woolen socks.

Should you not be that much into bowling, you should ask yourself what you're doing in here and make sure to check out the Gaming Corner slightly to the left of the bowling lanes. A small variety of games have been set up, providing you and your friends with an alternative to bowling. Because remember, the Backroom is NOT the place to go if you're feeling bored. Unless you have been specifically invited by the shopkeeper to do so. Then you may.

Only last thing: If you're feeling hungry or thirsty, the shop also has a Snack Bar which provides the hungry bowlers with refreshments and small snacks. The complete list of available items can be found on the counter by the snack bar. Make sure to stay as long as you like, try out everything the shop has to offer and tell your friends.

Enjoy your stay and come back soon!

OOC: Make sure you are familiar with the Diagon Alley Rules and do NOT under any circumstances RP for the shopkeeper (Felixir).
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or ask them here.

PERSONALITY
Caspar is very sociable and often very keyed-in to the subtleties of other humans. He spends a lot of time dealing with people, or just being around them, so years of people-watching has helped develop his skill at recognising body language and the like. A fun game of his is to 'Sherlock' some of the customers that come into his establishment. Aside from this, he also enjoys his nights out, socialising and making connections with people.

Always very cheerful, Caspar makes it a point to put out an 'approachable' vibe. He's still a bit of a joker, just as he was at school, though many of his jokes have a tendency to fall flat. Still, Caspar is blessed with the skill of being able to laugh at himself, so it's never much of a bother to him.

Mad about music, Caspar's most treasured belongings are is guitar and his wizarding wireless, which is always going when he works the counter at work. Often, when customers encounter the shopkeeper, he will be dancing along to the music no doubt being played from it.
HISTORY
Caspar is a half-blood, the second born child and only son of pureblood father and muggle mother. He has an older sister, Matilda, and lived comfortably with his family in Knebworth, England, since he was born. Both Caspar and his sister attended Hogwarts, with Matilda, two years his senior, sorted into Ravenclaw while he was placed in Gryffindor.

When it quickly became apparently that Caspar was not exactly all that compatible with academia, he took on a 'class clown'-esque role, which gained him social status with his peers, though did him no favours in classes. Every year Caspar managed to scrape through his final exams and pass on to the next year, though not for lack of ability; school and all its formalities were quite simply a bore that the excitable Gryffindor was not prepared to slow down for. When Caspar was in his fourth year, he began to learn guitar, and his interest in music blossomed. Instead of acting the class clown, a role which was leading him towards trouble, Caspar instead focused on his music. His grades still left something to be desired, but Caspar by this point had already decided that he wanted to pursue his music rather than attend university. He eventually graduated Hogwarts (much to the relief of his family) with a handful of OWLs and NEWTs.

After graduating Hogwarts, Caspar began trying to make a name for himself as a music artist. He played various gigs and became reasonably well-known, but not enough to support himself financially. He worked all kinds of jobs in both the muggle and wizarding worlds, his mixed heritage being quite handy, but eventually was forced to face the fact that if he wanted to get himself financially stable, he needed to put his music on the backburner for a while. Instead, Caspar applied for Wizarding University, and after some persuasion (what with having less than ideal exam grades) made it onto a Business Administration and Management course.

Upon leaving university, Caspar went into business with a friend, and the pair of them opened up a wizarding bar and music venue. They did well for themselves, but when Caspar was 28 he decided it was time to go it alone. With some potential businesses already in mind, he sold his share of the business to his friend and left. Barely a fortnight later and thanks to a real stroke of luck with the timings, Caspar become the next shopkeeper of the Shrunken Head Bowling Alley in Diagon Alley, where he lives and works today. Though he regrets that he never made it as a musician in his youth, he is very happy with his current career, and is rarely seen without an accommodating smile.
