| | | Meet AmbiguouslyMe
Hi SS! I'm Jeremie (AmbiguouslyMe) and I'm one of your Mods of the Month for November!
Right now, I play Professor Preston Kingsley, the Transfiguration Professor in our school role play. I also write for the Daily Prophet and moderate in the fan fiction forums.
I have previously played quidditch in the school, been a Department Head and a Division Head in the Ministry RP and can (very) occasionally be heard on Potterwatch.
Outside of my RP responsibilities, I love to travel, read, write, knit and sing. Right now, I'm participating in National Novel Writing Month with a bunch of other SS'rs. I live in Boston and work with high schoolers doing leadership development. I grew up in New York and moved out here for graduate school and stuck around once I finished.
So, feel free to ask questions here, and make sure to follow SS and Platform 9 3/4's rules!

That's a really roundabout way of saying I've never heard someone call it a car park.

And here's another question if you had 24 hours to spend with one famous person alive or dead who would it be and why? Oo, tough one. As cliche as it might sound for being on a site like this, I do think I'd want a day with Rowling. There's so much I want to ask her about writing, and her writing, and her characters and all that. She delivered the commencement address when I finished my masters and it was just SO amazing. I want follow-up time! Quote:

Dumbledore, in book six choked me up, but I think Lupin and Tonks really hit me in the gut in a way that lingered, even if I wasn't immediately teary. All the deaths, though, were profoundly difficult in one way or another, I think. But something about their death and the way it reflected back on Harry's parents' death and being orphaned was just.. guh.

All the deaths, though, were profoundly difficult in one way or another, I think. But something about their death and the way it reflected back on Harry's parents' death and being orphaned was just.. guh. Hmm yeah I can see that, but I think for me I would want a sit down with Shakespeare myself if we are doing writes. Before I was in high school I had read most of his stuff. My fav being the 12th Night and Orthello.
Yeah Dumbledore go to me but it was George who really jerked a tear out of me. I just couldn't believe that she would break up a set like that And Lupin and Tonks just took me by surprise. I mean I know there had to be some deaths but its like she took a knife and just dug in with it
Question that's what you are here for right Are you excited about the relaunch of Superman? Or do you think they will find a way to screw this one up to?

Question that's what you are here for right Are you excited about the relaunch of Superman? Or do you think they will find a way to screw this one up to? I'm torn, to be honest. Relaunches can either be GREAT or terrible. I loved the new Batmans and Star Trek, but sometimes the super hero movies fall flat. Plus, Christopher Reeves will always be my Superman.
So, I guess we'll see. Quote:

sorry xD Well, the trio are written to stand out, but beyond that, I think Luna is unforgettable. Quote:

JellyBellies, on the other hand, for some reason don't squick me. Buttered popcorn flavor. Mmm. Quote:

So, I guess we'll see. Yeah I really hated that last Superman movie...it was total crap and I hated that because Kevin Spacey was in it and I love him! I can't wait for Star Trek 2 and the new Batman
Question: what did you get ur undergrad and grad degree in?

On to the next!
My BA (Bachelor of Arts) is in Theology and I minored in Journalism and Mass Communication.
My masters is a Master of Theological Studies (MTS) and I focused on progressive religion, gender and some politics.
That's about the extent that I'll talk about my degrees on board, since the specifics aren't SS-topic-friendly. Unless it's Journalism questions. Then that's fine.

I think I enjoyed biology the most. It made the most sense to me when I was in school. I particularly enjoyed genetics (simple genetics!) and how traits are passed on. Quote:

ty Hi there! It's not an ideal place to ask, no, but because I mentioned that I play in the RPG, I'll consider it a question that can go here.
If you have other questions about the site and how it works, you should post in the Question and Answer thread.
Here at Snitchseeker, we have an extensive RPG that includes Hogwarts (with classes, Quidditch and more), the Ministry of Magic and Diagon Alley. They all run on the same timeline and sometimes 'crossover' in that you'll see someone from the Ministry at Hogwarts for a lesson or the Ministry will ask a Professor to come into the offices, etc. And everyone call play in Diagon Alley (students and professors can only between terms).
It takes place more than 70 years after the books end (so its 2073 in the RPG right now) so it's all original characters that people have made up. You can make a character and interact with others as that character in any number of situations. It's a ton of fun. When you're a member, I highly recommend you check those forums out!

any favorite comicbooks/ comic book characters when you were a kid? oh and uh, Marvel or DC? (or something else?) X-Men, for sure. I started with the kid/teen/tween(?) version before 'graduating' as an actual teen to The Ultimate X-Men when they 'relaunched' the story with a more modern setting. Some kids have imaginary friends? I brought the X-Men to school. They hovered over the school bus seats. At least, the ones that could fly.
I also loved Leave it to Chance in the mid-90s (which was about a girl named Chance) that was put out by Image Comics (and canceled. Boo).
I'm mostly a Marvel guy. But I read a little Vertigo at one point. I don't remember if it was always a DC imprint, but it is now. Neil Gaiman's stuff, in particular.
My 'inheritance' is mostly Marvel, though.

So are you a journalist? I mean in RL I know ur on the DP here, but do you write for any RL papers or blogs? Well, after I finished the writing/editing requirements that were traditional journalism fare (how to structure an article, etc), I focused on media representations of minorities (of all sorts) and persuasive writing. So, it actually was really really complimentary to my other work.
As for current journalism work, no, I don't. Every so often some friends of mine from grad school kick around the idea of starting a serious blog, but we never get around to it. Quote:

As for wanting a knitted Sheldon, there's a long list. But I can certainly show you where to get the pattern and you can make your very own!

Well the focus was more on minority women...that's my main focus with my degree to be honest.
Yeah I have a few blogs, one for politics, one for movie reviews and then one for food yeah my passions are all over the place to be honest...I'm a Jack of All Trades
