2014: Meet AlwaysSnapesGirl

Hi everyone!

My name is Brigette, and I'm a huge Severus Snape fan if you can't tell from my username I think he's a really fascinating, intriguing character with so many different layers and aspects to him, and I love the journey J.K. Rowling took him through in the books. She's awesome.

I actually only began reading the books in August 2009, so I didn't really grow up with them like I know a lot of people did. But I fell in love with them quickly and finished them all within a few months. It was in December of that year that I stumbled upon SS one day, and after a bit of lurking around and finding the site RPGs really interesting, I joined one day and I've been hooked ever since!

I was sorted into Ravenclaw, and then after seven terms with my first Hogwarts character (Vashti Greenwell Amstern), I decided to re-sort into Gryffindor for my next character (Penelope Greenwell). And after another seven terms I'm still in Gryffindor for my current character, David Hensley. Elsewhere in the RPs, I'm a mod for the Diagon Alley RPG section and an assistant at the Owl Post Office. I'm also a Fan Club officer, which I encourage you all to join along with the RPGs

Outside of SS things, I'm a college student, I like to read and write whenever I can, and I really like using emoticons.

Aaand I think I should stop there since I'm already rambling too much So feel free to ask me some questions, I'll be happy to answer them

Eeeeep, hiii Casey!!

1. The first one that comes to mind is his "Always" line. It's a short quote, but I think it's also so powerful and conveys so much without having to be long or descriptive. If that makes sense But there's two others I'm particularly fond of, probably just because of how Alan Rickman says them in the movies, and I can't remember if they're in the books or not *should reread those again* But yeah, I also like "People will think you're...........up to something." and "......Obviously." There's just something about his pauses that makes those lines so great

2. Oh goodness, hard question I think....I don't know, I'm having a hard time choosing between either Vashti and Penelope. Vashti was my first Hogwarts charrie and I really enjoyed RPing her growing up through so many years IC, so it's been really fun experiencing so many things with her. But I have also enjoyed RPing Penelope (for the most part ) because she's so different from me and from Vashti, and that's been an interesting experience, though sometimes annoying too I love all my characters, but those two are particularly special to me, so I guess it's a tie between them :3

3. (N'aww, you are adorable *squishes* <3) And I think my feelings can probably be summed up simply as ALSDKALSKDASLDAKSDLAKSDLAKDALSKDA.

4. I think the REAL question is, How are YOU so awesome, and will you share some of your awesomeness with me?

1. It was SUPER weird at first Especially trying to get used to seeing a Gryffindor banner under my name instead of a Ravenclaw one. But it was also super fun since it let me meet even more new SSers and charries, so that always makes everything better :3

3. If this was asked back during the beginning of Book 1, I probably would have said Masami But now, I'd say Makorra. I'm not a HUGE shipper of them and used to really dislike it, but Book 3's helped me warm up to them as friends, so I'd be okay if they ended up together by the end

1. I think in the veeeery beginning, I thought Snape would have been a bad guy based solely on his intro, but as soon as we found out Snape was the one who was saving Harry during the Quidditch match and Quirrell was the one jinxing him, I began thinking he might have been at least on the good side. He wasn't a particularly nice person and I didn't know what the reason for him siding with the good guys was until DH, but I was leaning towards him being a "good" guy. Until the end of HBP at least, then I became VERY confused and wondered if I was wrong

2. I might be a bit biased, but I gotta say Ravenclaw BUT Hufflepuff is probably my second favorite since I think I've got quite a bit of Puff in me too :3

3. I did! I managed to go to midnight releases for both of the DH movies :3 I didn't dress up or anything, but I went with my dad and it was fun :3

4. Luna and Neville are definitely two of my other favorites. I also really like the trio, Fred and George, and McGonagall.

Definitely all you lovely people All the features and things to do around the site are great and cool, but they wouldn't be what they are without all the awesome people on site. 1. Mint flavored gum is my favorite usually, as long as the mint isn't TOO strong and overpowering. I really like Orbit Sweet Mint and Doublemint in particular :3

2. I think it's still a tie between Vashti and Penelope...though I might be leaning a little bit more towards Vashti as my favorite right now since Penelope's been annoying me a bit these past few days *eyes her*

3. Oh gosh, the hardest? I guess being a mod since it's still pretty new to me and I'm still learning stuff. And favorite....I don't know if I can decide because I've really liked them all and have fun doing them all and can't choose

I think what I like most is how much thought JKR put into the whole world. All the variety of characters she created is a part of that, but also all the extra minor things she put in too that aren't necessarily important to the main plot - all of it really comes together and makes the world seem so real and vivid and alive, and I think that's really cool. :3

My favorite ice cream is rocky road, though I'm also really fond of this one brand's chocolate and vanilla. It's soooo good

1. I think the shorter ones, like the first book, took me about a week for each one of them. The longer ones...two weeks or so, give or take? It's been awhile so I can't remember exactly

1. This IS hard But for one of my favorites, I'd have to say the Narnia books. That might be breaking the "one" rule since it's seven books, but I love them all and can't pick just one favorite They're some of my most favorite books, I love them so much

2. I didn't know! (or if I did I forgot? ) Thank you for liking it!

3. Fruits! There's not a whole lot of vegetables that I like, most of them are icky

5. This is also a really hard question My favorite song changes a lot and depends on my mood. Buuuut...I guess I'll choose Galaxies by Owl City. I'm really fond of that one

Hiiiii!

I'd say the best way to get involved is to jump right in! This post in the Newbie Guidelines is a great outline of all the basics of the RP areas around SS, so be sure to check out all the links there to get started. The Knockturn Alley RPG and Diagon Alley areas are the best places to begin RPing right now since the Hogwarts and Ministry sortings are currently closed. They're both different RP areas but both equally as fun. And for DA, once you have your RP character created, you can post here to ask someone to RP or just go ahead and post somewhere for someone to claim. You can also VM me too if you want, and I'll be happy to RP with you too

And if you need any help with creating an RP character, please feel free to PM/VM me or any Department Head/Shopkeeper/School Staff member any time! We'd be happy to help in any way we can

2. My first thought is butterbeer. I know it's technically already available since it's at the WWoHP in Orlando and possibly other places, but I wish they made it available in stores everywhere so I could buy it whenever I want. Butterbeer is so good and I want to have it more often

3. I thiiink...Accio. It seems like such a simple spell but it's also SO useful. If magic was real, I'd probably use it all the time to summon whatever I needed because I am lazy

1. I sat here for several minutes trying to decide on a question to ask because it's so hard for me to decide But I guess I'd ask something about Snape, like if things would have turned out differently if he'd been sorted into Gryffindor instead of Slytherin or some other what-if situation like that :3

2. Most of my favorite books/movies are generally pretty equal to HP to me, so this is a really hard question Buuuut I think I've thought of one I'd put second to HP though, and that'd probably be the Divergent series. It could've been equal to HP, but the last book kind of ruined the series for me, so I'd place HP above it

3. Oh gosh, I'm not sure I've seen a lot of outlandish HP theories since the series was over before I started reading them But if I could think of/remember any right now, I feel like it'd probably have to do with a ship. Ships make some really crazy theories happen sometimes

1. Gosh, this IS hard My favorite book tends to change every now and then since I love them all, but right now I think my favorite's The Horse and His Boy. As for character...I feel like the standard answer is Aslan But aside from him, maybe Shasta? Or Jill. One of those two

2. I'd say I probably prefer to RP girls since I think I have more female charries than male ones. I'd like to even it out, but I seem to tend to get more female voices in my head for whatever reason

3. I'm not sure if I have one particular movie I like to watch...kinda varies with whatever/whenever I feel like watching something Tends to be Disney movies though, I think.
