As you all know, every house has its own house team, as well as a reserve team in case somebody cannot make it to a match. How is it played? Here are the official rules: Quote: (Keredwel)

Chasers and Keepers
The Chasers and the Keeper are basically the most vital players. They are the ones who need to be the most active. To start off, a Quaffle Question will be presented to the Chasers and the Keeper. This question is not for all Chasers though - the questions are asked in turn, so first the Gryffindors are asked the questions, for example, and after that the Slytherins and so on. The object of the game is to be fast.
Example question
Quaffle: How many fouls can be made in Quidditch?
As soon as the question is presented, the Chasers have to answer. If they answer correctly, they gain 10 points. But if the opposing Keeper manages to answer the question first, then the goal is blocked and no points will be handed out. If the Chaser who answers first answers wrong, no points will be given out. If the Keeper answers wrong, he/she has not been able to block the goal and 10 points will be given to the opposing team. Then another question is asked, this time targeted to the other team, and the game follows the same pattern.
Beaters
The Beaters don't have too important of a role, so they needn't be here all the time. Every once in a while a Bludger Question will be asked.
Example question
Bludger: Who holds the record for the fastest capture of the Snitch to date?
All the Beaters can answer this. The Beater who answers (correctly) first has thus hit the Bludger and deducted 10 points from the opposing team.
Seekers
The Seekers must be knowledgeable about HP and Quidditch in general, though they don't need to be so active all the time. At some points of the game, a Snitch Question will be presented. This will be a difficult question.
Example question
Snitch: Who was the first ever person to cross the Atlantic by broom?
The first Seeker to answer it will get a bit closer to catching the Snitch. After "catching" the Snitch three times, they finally really catch the Snitch and the game is over, giving the Snitch catcher's team an additional 150 points.

House points
The points are given to the houses judging by how many points they won the other team by. If, for example, Gryffindor won Slytherin 150-50, Gryffindor would get 100 points and Slytherin none.

In General
And so always the first person's answer is crucial. If they answer correctly, then it's good. If they answer wrong but someone answers correct after them, then it doesn't count. Everything relies on the first person. For additional good luck, the Quidditch team is supported by the fans in the stands and the Cheerleaders. | |

LOL, sure if you want to. If he hadn't asked the snitch question "fowl" wouldn't have come into my head though. That is great team spirit after all.
Substitution was made, Amyliaz and Ronslilpyro are changing spots for today. I'm hoping Geraldinechang will be on to help out. If we absolutely need another sub, email me @ lmaochica7@hotmail.com and I will do my best to come online and make it. You guys know I'm student teaching, so not always time for computer (when the kiddies won't shut up  Keep in mind we have used 3 now, and only have 2 left. I would like to not have to change things much more.
2:00pm EST be at the pitch. I will be on around 4:30, although he usually has stopped the games by then to resume later. We have a good flow girls (and patrick), let's keep this up! We need to get less than 150 points behind them, losing by 5 would suck! (losing in general would, but that close...).

Okay Players, Game will resume Monday 11/22 around 12:00pm (noon) EST. In GLOSS time it'll probably be about 12:30, so we'll see. So far the only person I know who can make it at noon is Lyra (lways), so if you CAN make it please PM me immediately if not sooner. We have no subs left, so we need ppl there. This could be the last day girls, we need to make up some points.

QUIDDITCH PLAYERS:
The match will resume @ 8:00am EST tomorrow. PLEASE be there! We are only trailing by 15 points, so once we get that the snitch is ours. Ravenclaw got 50 points worth of penalities today, so that was a plus for us. Please PM me as soon as you know if you can or cannot make it!

Attention Quidditch Team The match will end tonight at 8 PM! Spots will ask a single snitch question and who ever answers it correctly, regardless of the order, will recieve the snitch and win the match! OOC: I'm sorry to disappoint you and your hard work but, an announcement was made yesterday in the OOC forum which many people seemed to have glanced over. For this reason, I am posting a copy of the notice in each of the Common Rooms. Quote:
Quidditch, as of right now, has been terminated, indefinitely.
Due to cheating, the overwhelming number of complaints, and the harassment of the Quidditch official, the staff has decided to cancel Quidditch for the rest of the term as well as the next one. Whether or not we will have it after that depends on whether or not we can revamp the system to prevent the kind of cheating which has gone on.

Of all 4 houses, Hufflepuff has shown exemplary patience, kindness, and support of our Quidditch official, his judgments, and his rules. We, the staff, give out house points for homework and answering questions correctly in class and we hand out detentions for rule breakers but, we have been remiss in rewarding those houses which show us, the staff, the most respect. Therefore, I am awarding Hufflepuff 1000 points for their sportsmanship. Your excellence in sportsmanship outshines any teams' achievements on the pitch and the staff would like to thank you for it. Congratulations Hufflepuff!!
