As you wander around the newly rennovated dungeon, you see a notice stuck on the door to the potions classroom:

Attention Students from All Houses and Years

The first Potions Lesson of the term will commence on Tuesday, October 5th at 4pm EST (9pm GMT). The lesson will be "An Introduction to Love Potions" and is open to students from all houses and years. Please be sure to read the Classroom Rules before coming to class.

Francis writes down what other people had been saying. Not being at Hogwarts last term, she has no idea of what the answers could be..

Pookah watched as the poster dissapeard, and then shot a look at Jenn, and mummbled "grow up!"

Then turned at proffesor Airlia, and shily asked: " How can white flowers be used in the potion?"

Lexy looks up at the poster and shakes her head, why must people do things like that? She dipped her quill in her ink and continued taking notes. Hoping that house points won't be lost.

Zekke pondered on the canary question.

"I know that the canary is an old symbol for protection, so perhaps for the good potions - especially those that are used for healing and the like - this symbolism adds to or enhances the protective properties? And maybe for this particular lighter love potion, this adds a measure of safety to it?"

Jenn grumbled at Jaren as he made the plane disappear. Looking at her cousin she noticed her eyes travel to her and grinned. The weasley blood grew thick in both of them even if her cousin choose not to bring it out much.

Jenn noticed Pookah's words and stuck her tongue out at her, she didn't have to grow up if she didn't want to. Plus, she needed to make her fourth year fun. But it would definitely be hard with this bunch.

I have read of a potion that used unicorn hair, and yes, it was a very powerful potion. It would cause the person drinking it to fall instantly in love with the next person he saw. The only cure was to drink the antidote potion.

Lighten up, Hailey. Professor Airlia does have a sense of humor. She didn't loose that when she became a ghost.

Lexy raises her hand slowly, she was gonna attemot to answer the canary question

Well, the canary hex is used to change a person into a canary...possibly such a change represents the change in the person who uses the potion?

She ponders the question, she had already looked through her textbook and didn't find much.

Zekke's eyes traveled across the room to rest on the girl named Jenn. He chuckled quietly and mouthed, "Some potions DO stink. Stinkbomb potions in particular."

"That's certainly entirely possible as well." Zekke nodded and scribbled down this information as well. "There are also enchanted jokes and such that can turn people temporarily into canaries."

Canary feathers are prized for their ability to heighten one's sensibilities. I asume that is why they are use in love potions.

Mrs. Weasley takes out a spare piece of parchment out of her bag and fashions it into a canary. She wave her wand over the paper bird and let's it fly across the room. "How was that couz?" she asks with a wide grin on her face.

Professor Airlia kept listening to the class as she spoke with Hubert and when she was finished, floated back in front of her desk. "Interesting discussion on unicorns. Perhaps we can cover the various uses of the part of unicorns in potion brewing at another time. But, for now, back to the love spell. I must admit that I am quite pleased with the amount of thought and effort you have put in today. This is by far the most intelligent class I've had. Next class, we'll find out how talented you all are," she winked.

"Now, the part of class you have all been waiting for: Homework time!" she chuckled as the expectant and eager faces sank and the students groaned. "We discussed a few of the ingredients used in love potions but, there are many, many, more. I'd like for you to list off some other ingredients you think might be used in love potions and why you think so. If you would like to discuss the homework and if some of the students from last term would like to post notes from the Anti-love potion to assist the newer students, I am going to open the classroom next door for your use for the next few days.

"Homework will be due one week from today (October 12th by 6:30pm EST). Class dismissed."

Lexy scribbles down her homework and gathers up her books, she still had ancient ruins homework but she decided she would do potions first.She walks out the door and into the next classroom.

Jenn smiled at Zekke as he mouthed his words to her, she laughed and worded back, "Very true my friend, especially when used in groups." And grinned even more.

Suddenly a canary flew over to her and looked to the direction it came from, she smiled at her cousin. "Haha, I always knew you had it in you." And smiled. She then put away all her things and made way to leave class.

Pookah looks back at Jenn, and hopes she won't cost Ravenclaw some points.
She quickly stuffs everything in her bag, and gets up, ready to leave.

"Thank you Proffesor, that was an excellent class!"
