Shannon, smiling at the comment from Professor Rae, sits back in her desk to watch the others take their turns. I wonder what else we'll see, she thinks...

-watches as all of the people tackle the boggart.....waiting for her turn-

Rosalita took a deep breath as she stepped up in front of the boggart, wand at the ready. Suddenly it leaped up, transforming into a gigantic spider. It began edging towards her and for a moment she froze, seeing her reflection in every one of its eight eyes.

Then she got her composier together and raised her arm. "Riddikulus!" she cried. Suddenly, the spider was holding a top hat over its head with one of its legs, a cane held by another leg. It started dancing and Rosalita couldn't help but laugh as she went back to her seat, feeling pleased with her performance.

Riiya stood behind some griffindor students, waiting for her shot at it. she began to wonder what or rather who is she affraid of most. there were 2 that she feared to appear. was that all??

Jaren waited in line, thinking hard. Being a fourth year, he already knew what his boggart would be, but he feverently wished that this boggart was as gullible as the one he'd tackled in his first year, because frankly what he was afraid of was...embarrassing.

"Nice work, ladies. Next... Tina, followed by Hermy."

Tina steps forward. The trunk opens, and out steps something that she hoped that never will happen. There was her best friend from New Jersey, spiting out "You're not my friend anymore. I HATE YOU!!!" while pointing her finger at Tina. Tina panics for a fraction of a second and then cried "Riddickulus!" Her ex-best friend turned into a fish in a bowl of water. Now, bubbles came out and her yells were muffles. The fish looked confused and tried again, but found a fake bludger zooming towards her while she swam wildly.

Tina smirked and walked towards where all the other students who tackled the boggart was.

As Tina walks away Hermy braces herself for what she knows is coming. "You can do it, just think of a balloon. Just think of a balloon." Hermy steps up and the trunk opens. Out slithers the largest snake she had ever seen in her life. The snake began to slither towards her. Hermy closed her eyes and began to concentrate. "Think balloon, think balloon." She aimed her wand and shouted "Riddikulus!" The snake quickly inflated and began to float into the air. Just as quickly it burst and went soaring through the air as the wind came out of it. Hermy let out a bellowing laugh and the boggart was back in the trunk.

-Afton continues waitig her turn while watching the rest-

Nadia applauded as each of the students tackled their boggwats. She got particularly caught up in Hermy's fear, thinking of the incident in the Slytherin Commons rooms... as just as immediately her eyes laid on a certain somebody.

As the other students commenced, Nadia clapped again, wondering what would it be this time.

Jaren involuntarily flinched at the sight of Tina's boggart, and quickly averted his stare to a nearby wall before his brain registered what he'd seen. This was not going to be plesant at all.

Professor Rae looked at the long line of students. "So far so good... next student, please!"

-steps forward-

-the trunk flew ope to show a very large skunk. it came running at full speed at Afton-tail raised-

"Riddikulus!!!"

-suddenly, there was a large hole in front of the skunk. it fell in the hole, and a flower scent filled the air after it had fell. then it was back in the trunk-

Jaren stepped up to the trunk, which flew open like it had been blasted from the inside. Out slithered a small, black viper, moving like a fluid. For some reason, this scared Jaren more than a pack of werewolves, and, very uncharacteristically, he froze and a look of terror crossed his face. For about two seconds, he just stood there, eyes wide as the viper slithered towards him. Then he finally reacted.

"Riddikulus!"

Crack! The snake turned into a rope, which tied itself into several knots. With a sigh of relief, Jaren regained his composture and pretended as if nothing unusual had happened, ignoring what he was sure was a sly stare coming from Nadia.

Nadia coughed to stiffen a laugh. She had at first been worried but after the look in Jaren's eyes after he was finished she couldn't help the corner of her lip turning upwards. She thought of steping forwards to congratulate him (and herself! She was right again! Yipie!! ^__^), but restrained herself for one or both of the reasons; a) she didn't thought Backslash would appreciate it at all, or may even think she was mocking him, and b) she didn't trust herself, as she felt she was about to burst out laughing. Her head down to hide her expression, Nadia thought her laugher would scare away the most difficult boggart this very minute.

(Mental note --> mood :: evil)

Adam stepped forward. The boggart automatically turned into a huge axe-wielding psycho-wizard.
"Riddikulus!" Adam yelled.
The boggart's legs became tree-roots, his axe exploded into tiny puffskeins, and the boggart's body suddenly swelled like a balloon. And with a mighty bang, he exploded and turned into a large snail.

Everyone was into hysterics.

Serena stepped forward, not sure what she would see. She felt she was brave, but at the same time she had many fears. What appeared before her took her breath away! She started to back away and run, but Adam touched her arm and said, "You can do this Serena!" Just that touch made her realize what she was seeing wasn't real... just a Boggart. Her mother lay before her on the floor, appearing to be dead. Serena struggled with her thoughts to come up with a solution... then said "Riddikulus!" Her mother stood up and her clothes changed into what muggles thought witches wore, complete with a broomstick, and a long hooked nose and green skin, like the 'Wicked Witch of the West' from the 'Wizard of Oz', a muggle movie she had seen. Her mother then said, "I'll get you my pretty!" just like she used to tease her when she wanted her attention. She smiled and then laughed with the rest of the class and stepped back, relieved that was over.

Chryssie took a deep breath and stepped in front of the trunk. The lid opened slowly and out came a very tall, scary clown. He laughed in an extremely freaky way and started walking towards Chryssie, who shakily lifted her wand.

"Riddikulus"

The clown shuddered and changed into a floating, pink balloon animal.

"Mwahaha take that you weirdo!" She said triumphantly, before returning to the back of the line.

Feesha took a step towards the boggart and it suddenly changed into a purple faced, vampire. She stood scared for minute and then recomposed.

"Riddikulus!" she called adn the vampire was suddenly wearing a flowered dress and dancing the hola, she began to laugh. She then moved out of the way for the next student

Brandon steps forward and the boggart comes out, turning into a giant hand looking like its tickling the air. "Riddikulus!" The hand rolled up and turned into a giant bouncy ball. He laughs and then looks around. "What? It's my only weakness."

Rosalita laughed as Brandon went back to his seat. "You're lucky," she said. "I'm terrified of spiders."

Christy steps up to take on the boggart. *oh man, this is going to be embarassing* she thinks to herself, but knows she has to do it. As she approaches, the boggart turns into a clown. Christy realizes that she is just staring at it terrified, and so performs the spell
"riddikulus"
the clown is hit in the face with a good deal of water, which makes it's makeup come off, and also causes it to trip over it's stupid big feet. christy retreats behind some other students and trys to not hypervenalate, which is her usual response to a clown in such close proximity.

Hermy watches as her classmates each take a turn with the boggart. She swells up with pride at how well they are all doing facing the boggart in turn.

When it came to Didymus' turn, she took a few steps forward and awaited the Boggart, curious as to what it would turn into. She didn't have to wait long until infront of her stood nothing. The Ravenclaw realised that she couldn't see anything. "Becoming blind," she muttered.
She raised her wand and commanded, "Riddikulus!" Her vision returned as soon as it had left, and she laughed a bit as she looked at the overly decorated glasses over her eyes. After quickly removing the glasses and raising an eyebrow at her choice of colouring for them, she moved away and allowed the next student to face the Boggart.

Arkee clenched her fists as she approached the boggart. Her eyes widened as it took the form of a giant wasp, buzzing in a way that made her hairs stand on end.

"Riddikulus!" she screamed in a trembling voice, pointing her wand at the monster.

A tuxedo suddenly grew on the wasp, conforming to it's body shape. Then a piano popped out of nowhere. The wasp flew to the piano, and began to sing a jingle Arkee recognized.

"I'm in love, I'm in love
With Atillaaaaaa the Hun,
Though he killed eeeeeeeveryone,
Atillaaaaaa the Hun.
I'm in love, I'm in love
With Atillaaaaaa the Hun,
Atiiiiillaaaaa the Huuuuuun!"

Arkee fell to the floor, clutching her sides and quaking with laughter.
