Nadia laughs and chants "Finite Incantatum!"

The curse is lifted and now Starri can move. "Sorry^^ I was expecting you would block it - it's good to have your reflexes trained." *winks* "Tell you what, you now get to curse me and I won't fight it or dodge or anything so you can practice. Once you have the spell mastered... I will be more sneaky "

Places her in front of Starri... "When you are ready, fire away!"

chocomeo looks around the room to see if anyone had not got a partner,though it had seemed that almost everyone had a partner. She sighed and siad to the quill "i guess it is only me and you then "and began practising moving the quill back and forwards

Since Jenn seems more interested in sleeping them practising the spell, Mrs. Weasley decides to take Professor Rae's advice and practice on her own. She throws her quill up in the air, takes aim, and says Immobulus. Unfortunately her aim is a little off and instead of immoblizing her quill, she hits Professor Rae with the spell. She fall flat on the floor stiff as a pancake. Mrs. Weasley rushes over to her immobile teacher. "Oh professor," she says, "I'm so sorry. I never intended to hit you. My aim must have been a little off." Professor Rae lies on the floor trying to mouth the words Finite Incantatem. Say Finite Incantatem! Finally catching on to what the professor is trying to say, Mrs. Weasley says Finite Incantatem, and Professor Rae returns to normal.

When nobody's looking, an evil trickster Slytherin sixth-year, hoping to help his Death Eater father cause terror and havoc, lets loose a cage of lethifolds in the back of the class...those who fall asleep during a dull point in a lecture are bound to find a nasty surprise waiting for them....:->

"Immobulus!" Adam yells at a random student.

The random student freezes and drops a cage full of thin, black, shadowy creatures. Adam makes sure they don't get out, he knows they're Lethifolds, and he continues on with the spell.

Serena tosses up her quill and cries, "Immobulus!" The quill moves in slow motion, seeming to take forever to reach to ground. "Cool!" was all she could manage to say. "Anyone want a partner?" She really wasn't too sure she wanted to be stunned, especially with the possibility of Lethifolds being released in the classroom. But she was game. She didn't let her fears stop her.

Greta tosses her quill in the air and cries, "Immobulus!" It halts a few from her desk, and she smiles in satisfaction. Looking around for a partner, she spots Serena.
"D'you want to be my partner?" she asks a bit timidly.

After trying the spell a few times on a quill tossed into the air, Shannon looks around for someone to partner with. "Hmm, where's Francis?"

Riiya looked around as everyone practiced their spell. She had never done this spell before, although she somehow found it was somewhat familiar for an odd reason.why does she feel as if she knows this spell and yet feels as well that she has never casted it before...

"um..practice..." she whispered under her soft voice. she took out her wand from her inside pocket robe and gripped the handle with her left hand. she picked up her precious beautiful white quill from her table. she knew she would cry if she spoilt the quill. she looked at the white quill, concentrating hard at it. her silver-blue eyes changed to sharp silver, as if it was made out of metal. she tossed her quill up with a sharp movement of her wrist. she closed her eyes, thinking of nothing but a dark black room. she couldn't hear anything- it frightened her. suddenly, she could hear the sound of a hollow bamboo knocked at the tip. she opened her eyes feeling relieved she wasn't deaf - the quill was about to fall. it seemed slow...she looked around to see if the others saw this. but everyone seemed to move slow as well. Riiya turned back to the quill, taking her opportunaty to cast the spell. She moved her left hand towards the quill but slightly to the right and waved her wand from the right to left in a small arc movement. "Immobulus" when the tip landed to the left, it was parallel to the quill. A bright white light flashed instantly from the wand. her hearing was back to normal as rains of Immobulus chants suddenly flooded her ears. she looked at everyone who were moving back to their normal pace. she smiled and turned back to her quill. it was suspended on air. "sugoi..." she said softly. ^^ She then moved her wand and said, "Finite Incantatem" and the quill floated back down as if it was nothing. "hm...have i..done this before...?i don't remember...but its so familiar..."

As if not herself, she picked up her ink bottle (lid closed tight thankfully..) and threw it up in the air. she looked at the bottle and again it was in slow motion. she didn't understand. she looked around instantly and everyone moved slowly. she shook her head, bringing her wand from right to left. "Immobulus"

the ink bottle froze in mid air. she looked at everyone and sees that they went back to normal. "Finite Incantatem" the bottle began to fall as if it was nothing. she reached for the bottle and caught it with her free right hand. "hm...this is..."

Shannon looks over at Riiya and sees she looks confused. Maybe this is her first time with this one too, she thinks to herself. "Riiya, would you like to partner up with me to practice? I've never done this spell before today."

Pookah was still looking around for someone to practice with.

Riiya looks as though she isn't really there in class, so Shannon turns to look for someone else. Pookah appears to be looking as well. "Do you want to practice together?" she says.

Didymus wandered over to her desk and pulled out a quill from her bag. After quickly practising the wand movements that the Professor had shown the class, she threw it into the air and shouted "Immobulus!"
To her surprise the quill stopped immediately. She lowered her wand to her side and walked around it.
"Finite incantatum!" she commanded. With a small clatter the quill fell onto the floor. Didymus looked around the class at her fellow students, she then noticed another Ravenclaw looking around.
"Pookah, do you want to practise with me?"

Shannon chuckles. "You're very popular today, Pookah! Why don't the three of us practice together? We can each try the spell on each of the other two."

Didymus smiled and nodded.
"That sounds like a good idea, who wants to go first?"

"Why don't you go first? You can practice on me. I always wondered what REAL freeze tag would be like!" Shannon says, not sure if they'll get the joke.

Didymus pointed her wand at Shannon and smirked slightly. "This should be fun," she thought to herself.
"Immobulus!" she watched as Shannon's body stopped moving. After a few seconds she raised an eyebrow curiously, re-pointed her wand at the girl and commanded, "Finite Incantatum!"

"Wow, that was...interesting," Shannon says, stumbling a little bit as the spell was removed. "Professor, how long would that spell would last if you didn't take it off?" she asks, preparing to cast the spell on Pookah. "Don't worry, I'm not getting any ideas."

While she waits for a response from the professor, she says, "Ready Pookah?" On Pookah's nod, Shannon says "Immobulus!" and swishes her wand. Pookah is frozen in place. After a moment, she says "Finite Incantatem" and the spell is lifted.

Pookah smiled wide. "Would love to practice with you both!" "not many Ravenclaws have noticed I'm around", added in a muffled whisper.

She took out her wand, rolled-up her sleeves, and was ready to aim at Didymus.

Didymus turned around to face Pookah and her wand.
"Whenever you're ready."

Lee copies down all that is said hoping not to miss a word

"Oops! Sorry Pookah! I thought you nodded because you were ready!"

Pookah aimed and looked about to start, but then she hesitated for a second...*What if this wand is really as deadly as some people say...*

She shook her head *it's only superstition*

"Imobulus!"

She grined as Didymus went
almost totatlly still, execept for her eyes...

"How's that!?"

Riiya snapped back to reality. "hm?" she looks at Shannon practicing with Pookah and Didymus. "i'm sorry, i was um...c-can i join..?" she asked shyly...

Didymus felt a strange sensation pass through her body as Pookah cast the spell. the muscles in her body tightened and no matter how hard her mind urged, her body would not move.
