Birdy walked into the room and set her bag down. Pulling out her wand, she scanned the room. "Does anyone still need a partner?" she asked. "Oh, can I be your partner, Didymus?" she asked

"I'll be your partner Birdy, if you still need one. I'm Laura. "

Birdy smiles at laura. "great," she said, turning to her, "Do you want to go first?"

"Okay, sure... thanks. You ready? Incarcerous!"

A couple of feeble ropes shoot out of the end of Laura's wand. She looks at them disdainfully. "Well, at least the spell worked... "

I'll go with you Dydimus. I suppose I'll start :)

"Diffindo" *she shouts pointing at Dydimus.*

"Mmh, OK, I get there's no second years available... any one wants to be my partner?"

She continued to wave her and, this time at the pronunciation Diffindo.

"Protego!" Didymus shouted to block the spell.
"Incarcerous!"

"I'll be your partner," Claire said looking over to her.

"Protego!" Didymus shouted to block the spell.

Protego! *she shouts and the spell glances off easily. She smiles.* Awesome... work, you're good...

Incarcerous! *She fires right back*

*turns around* "Hey there, Claire! I didn't see you before^^ Great, let's do this! You are a Third year too, even better. We can start directly with duelling!"

*possition herself just in front of Claire*

"OK, know the rules of dueling. In the count of three we both cast a spell, Incarcerous. We can try dodge the spells thrown at each other, defend ourselves with Protego or other means. First to fall loose and we start again, ready?"

*wand at ready*

"1... 2... 3 --

"INCARCEROUS!"

*They go to face each other, and he asks laura if she is ready. She is, and he begins*

*Ropes shot out of his wand adn wrap themselves around Laura just tight enough to restrain her. Laura cuts the ropes with the Diffindo spell, and makes teh remains vanish with teh Evanesco Spell. She points her wand at Chris*

Ready? Ok. Incarcerous!

*With that, thick ropes wrap themsleves around him tightly. Chris cuts the ropes and with the Evanesco spell.*

That was good, but for some reason the ropes were tight. But that's ok....

On count 3 she shouted "PROTEGO" expecting to block the spell. The spell blocked off the other one and in no time she said "INCARCEROUS" right back at her.

Nadia does a quick windraw and shouts "DIFFINDO!" cutting the ropes in mid air --

She does another quick wand-movement, already thinking of her next move and shouted "Incarcelous!" this time pointing to Claire's foots especifically, to trap her and make it more difficult for her to use Protego ;)

"Oh, shoot, not again," Eric mumbled under his breath as he watched everyone else partner up and start practicing. "Anyone interested to be my partner?"

*Lina looks around the room*

"Sure," Didymus lowered her arm and allowed the ropes to tie her up.
"Whenever you're ready."

ok... *She aimed carefully trying to be very careful*

Diffindo!

*The ropes came off neatly on the floor except one* Opps sorry about that...

Diffindo! *Dydimus stands up*

Ok whenever your ready!

Didymus smiled and raised her wand.
"Incarcerous!" Ropes shot from the tip of her wand and wrapped around Lightstar.
She aimed her wand once again,"Diffindo!"
The cut ropes fell to the floor,except one that was still wrapped around Lightstar's legs.
"I guess practise makes perfect," Didymus laughed nervously.
"Diffindo!" the last rope fell to the floor.
"I'll tidy up the floor and then you can have another go if you want," she remembered the spell the Professor had used and decided to try it.
"Evanesco!" the ropes on the floor disappeared.

I'm sure you thought I'd forgotten, but CONGRATULATIONS to those of you who earned the title of Auror-in-Training. The list follows, and I'd like to thank each of you for taking the time to participate.

You may have noticed that I said I'd try to teach about 7 or 8 lessons, but was only able to teach 6. I apologize for that, but my schedule really didn't permit otherwise. However, I adjusted the requirements so that YOU weren't punished for my problems. You only needed to attend 4 lessons or more to get your reward. And said reward is forthcoming. You'll see it very soon. Thanks again!
