Welcome students new and old! I am Professor Kiari Dyreth. Today we will be reviewing all you have learned about Transfiguration before we move on and tackle more advanced lessons.
For those of you who are new to Hogwarts we will help you get started in mastering this handy and often amusing wizarding skill. It will take hard work and concentration but I'm sure you will all do well in my class.
As for our returning students today's lesson will give me a chance to assess you skills and learn which areas of Transfiguration you have already covered.

Correct miss Kaz. The proper incantation is Ferriverto. 5 points to Gryffindor!
Now watch carefully.
Tap your wand...gently mind you...three times on your animal, recite the incantation and concentrate.
If you do so properly, your animals should turn into shining water goblets.
Demonstrates on her mouse, then observes her students.

Valentine observes the professor very carefully and takes a deep breath. She pulls out her wand and exhales. I can do this, she tells herself. She taps the mouse she borrowed thrice and said quietly, "Ferriverto". Nothing happened. Slightly discouraged, she tries again but speaks the incantation louder this time. The mouse morphs into a goblet. Ecstatic, she jumps up and down in her seat before calming down. | |
