Camilla Stewart was stood at the edge of the Pathways waiting. She had made plans to meet up with Kaysha this afternoon and thought it would be nice to take a walk outside while the weather still permitted them to do so. Even with the two of them working in the same place it wasn't all the time that they both had the same time to get together and just talk and there was a fair amount that the two women always tried to keep the other up to date on.

Bonsai had remained inside no doubt roaming the corridors in search of one of his 'friends' to visit. The silly cat was still very much into hanging around with not only the students and staff but their pets as well. So taking advantage of this moment, Cami had gone into the barn first and gotten Cypress who was on his leash now, sniffing at the grass and flowers while they waited. Maybe her crup would get lucky and Kay had thought to bring her crup along as well. It would be nice to let them play for a bit while the cousins spoke.

Pulling her attention from Cy she looked out over the grounds to see if she could spot the other women coming this way.

Oliver was taking a walk along the pathways when he spotted a familiar younger snake. She seemed taller.. But maybe he was just imagining she was taller. It was like with Valerie. He could never tell how much his little sister had grown since he'd last seen her.

"Xavvie!" He exclaimed as he made his way toward her. "It's good to see you! Mind if i walk with you?"

Xavvie too was unsure whether or not Oliver had grown over the summer. She remembered that Brysen hadn't stopped getting taller for quite a long time, so it was possible Oliver had too. It didn't really matter because Oliver was always going to be taller than her anyway. Regardless, she was glad to see him. "Hi!" She bounced a few steps in his direction since he was already heading to her. "Sure. I'm heading to the barn." And Grover loved attention, also she was sure the other creatures liked attention too.

She wiggled a bag full of her new pet's favorite treats. "I'm going to visit Grover, you can meet him too!" Since Oliver was the one who had inspired her to get a pet.

Unfortunately Cypress would be out of luck today since Kay had not brought Marshmallow along. The woman was being too lazy right about then so she had not stopped by the barnyard to pick the crup up. In fact, had it not been for Cam setting up the meet, she would have done nothing else than take a nap. It had been quite a long day since there were more lessons scheduled for her to teach that day.

It was a wonderful day out but she barely noticed it. In addition, Kay hardly noticed the butterfly flitting before her, the chirpy bird just above her and practically everything else. Instead, she was focused on finding her cousin. Ah, there she was! "Hello, Cam. Hello, Cypress.'' She bent to pet the crup. "I'm sorry but I didn't bring Marshmallow.'' She straightened up again. "Had a good week of lessons so far?''

Someone was walking there way, Camilla smiled warmly to see that the someone was Kay. "Hello, Kay," she greeted happily. "Aaww well that's alright. I'm sure they see each other lots while in the barns." Cypress had begun wagging his tail in excitement as soon as Kaysha had come into view. The crup got right down to licking her hand making his happiness with her arrival known. It always made her laugh how excited Cypress got whenever he saw people even if he had only seen them moments earlier!

"I have. So far there hasn't been any problems. How are your lessons going?" Well she hoped. "Shall we take a little stroll or perhaps find a nice place to sit and relax?" Cami didn't much mind either way as she knew that her cousins lessons were greater in number today than her own.

Wriggling her toes in the dirt she jumped a little when she heard a nearby. How had she not noticed someone approaching? "Because my feet like to be free" she said and stuck out her tongue. Oh that was mature, stick out your tongue at a boy.... She flushed a little when she realized it was an older boy who had spoken to her. "I didn't realize others were around."

Oliver smiled widely at the younger snake. He didn't have many younger friends. Honestly most of the younger students at Hogwarts seemed over dramatic or just very... well stupid for lack of a better term and they got on his every nerve. But Xavvie was sweet and she reminded him a bit of Valerie. Not in looks, Valerie had darker features more like Oliver but she was nice and happy like Valerie had always been.

"Ohh! So you did get a pet? Awesome." He nodded they began to walk together. "Grover is a great name."

Gaston beamed back at Miss Paton as she answered him, but his face fell slightly as Phantom dashed the girl's hopes of petting her. He was about to give the feisty feline a reprimanding look, but he changed his mind when Miss Paton laughed. He laughed along with her. "Indeed they do," he replied.

He watched as Phantom made tried to dive bomb the fly, but it flew away at the last minute, causing her to land clumsily on her front paws. He shook his head. Then he got an idea how to get Phantom to leave the fly alone and come say hi. He turned his full attention to Miss Paton. "So are you having a good term so far?" he asked, not looking back at the black and white Persian as she continued to ham it up. If he ignored her long enough, she'd get jealous and demand attention.

After finishing lunch, Aymeric decided to go out for a walk in the grounds. His time was limited because his lesson's begin soon. It was brisk cold outside but still bearable with good outwear.

He made his way to the school Pathway's, honestly he wasn't quite sure what he was looking for. Perhaps a muse for his art? The third year walked slowly on the stone pathways looking at the reddening plants. Winter was most certainly on it's way. With arms crossed to keep the heat near him, the short young Ravenclaw wandered around, looking for something... how would he phrase it... interesting.

Glad that she had found a scarf in her backpack, Vi wrapped herself up warmly and snuggly in her Gryffindor scarf. Ahhh... her neck was much warmer now. The days were growing shorter and colder and the leaves... She stopped in her tracks. The leaves had almost drifted and fallen off the leaves. She watched as they slowly floated to the ground until they rested softly on them. Her gaze turned to a few leaves that had just fallen off a tree and that the wind gently guided down to the ground.

Vi pulled the view finder of her camera up to her eye and then...

*CLICK!*

Perfect.

She smiled and then turned to look up to see a boy walking with arms folded. Tilting her head, she wondered what his story was.

Aymeric wandered, gazing at numerous random plants and fallen leaves. Really nothing out of the ordinary. It was probably too cold for any insect to be out right now, or any plant to bloom. Ughh, he wasn't looking forward for winter.

*CLICK!*

Aymeric turned his head. He saw an older girl with a camera in her hand. Now this was interesting. He felt a bit awkward because she was looking at him as well. The Ravenclaw had two options. First, to ignore causing an awkward experience to both. Or second, to be friendly.

A small smile arouse his face. He never tried photography, frankly, he was never really interested in it. But now he was curious. "Are you a professional?" Aymeric called out. He didn't know a lot of students at Hogwarts which... well err... did anything other than study and hang out with their friends. On the other hand he didn't really know a lot of students.

"I mean a... Errr... professional photographer? o' course," he added quickly. He took a step closer towards the Gryffindor. His previous question was a bit too general for his liking.

Wouldn't Grover be excited to meet someone new? Xavvie was just certain that he loved making new friends, just like she did. She swung the bag once and started again in the direction of the barn, "Yeah! I did!" She forgot that she hadn't told him yet! Oops. "Guess what kind of animal he is." She was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to guess.

"Oh, how's Churchill?" She hadn't really visited with Oliver's pet yet this year and she definitely needed to make up time for that!

Olivia noticed that the boy was looking back at her. She was about to raise her camera and take a photo of the small smile that tugged at his lips but stopped herself because he called out to her. She bit her lip when he asked if she was a professional.... What did that mean? A confused look crossed her face. Hmm...

And then he clarified. Oh. Now she was following. She shook her head. "No, I'm not a professional photographer.... Though I am a professional gravity tester," she explained with a small chuckle. Vi was just horrible with balance. She had always been very clumsy.

But the Ravenclaw had a very quizzical look that he wore. She glanced at the guy and then paused. "You look as if you're looking for something." .... Or someone.....

"A professional gravity tester"? Huh? Aymeric narrowed his eyes slightly. He didn't quite get what she meant. After thinking for a few seconds the 'light bulb lit' above his head. He let out a small shy chuckle. "Oh..." Aymeric began, "But would you like to be a professional photographer or is't only a hobby?" He wasn't putting his nose in other people's business, right?

"Well," the Ravenclaw said, unfolding his hands and placing them in his pockets. He let out a sigh and shrugged, "I was looking for something interesting. A muse of some sort. However I think I found it," he gave a nod towards the camera in her hands.

"I'm Aymeric, by the way," the third year said, taking another step towards her. He stretched his hand out, for a handshake.

Kay was immediately distracted after greeting Cami because of one Cypress. She laughed as her hand was licked and it was with great difficulty that she managed to pat his head. "Aren't you an excited and happy crup today, Cypress?'' she teased. She loved him as much as Marshmallow and the two crups would always get along well together.

"That's great.'' Kay smiled, her attention now returning to the cousin. "No issues so far but if there are any, it's nothing I would be able to handle.'' She was a very confident woman and could always handle herself. Unlike some muggles who were too helpless without magic... "Yes, a walk sounds good actually. It would help me to clear my head.'' Which has been all too well occupied these days.

She chuckled when he got it. Ah, good. He didn't think that she was crazy or something. Good, good. "I don't know...." She had never thought about going into photography as a profession. She had always enjoyed it but as a career? "I have never thought of it like that before."

A muse? She raised her eyebrows at first, thinking that he was saying that she was his muse? Ummm... Well she'd have to break that idea in her head because she as dating someone and she barely knew the kid before she saw his nod towards her camera. OH. Her camera was his muse. "My camera?" she repeated just to be safe that her camera was what the Ravenclaw was referring to.

She placed her camera in her left hand when he outstretched his hand towards her. "A pleasure, Aymeric. I'm Olivia," she said as she took his hand with her right.

Now about muses...."So what do you need a muse for?"

The young crup wasn't even aware at how difficult he was making it for Kaysha to pet him properly. If his tail wagging, happy yipping and all the licks to the women's hand was anything to go by though, Cypress didn't mind. Camilla laughed softly nodding her head. "He's always so happy to see you, I'm glad he likes you as much as he does." It would've been a real shame if Cy had disliked her cousin!

"That's good. I know you can, you always have been." Even as children Kay had been able to take care of herself but that never kept Cami from keeping an eye on her younger cousin whom she always thought of as more of a sister. "Wonderful! Come on, Cy. Lets walk," she gave a gentle re-directive tug on his leash to get his attention as he had now laid down at their feet. Turning to walk down the pathway alongside Kaysha she glanced at her. "If you have something on your mind I'm always here should you need someone to talk with." The offer was always there even if she didn't want any advice. Camilla never had any problems with just listening.

But you also remember that I don't like to talk about myself which includes anything that's bothering me,'' Kay said lightly. Even if she did open up, it would be by giving as little details as possible.

Camilla was certainly glad that even with how hyper Cypress was at times he was fairly easy to get a handle on when she needed to. Her blue eyes remained focused on Cypress as they walked along, amusing herself with his antics of pausing to sniff flowers. If Marshmallow had been around, she would have chased him all around the pathways.

"I know you are.'' She smiled reassuringly at the cousin. There were such good persons in her life: Cam, Laurel, Rose, Ansley. She could always count on them whenever needed. "Wonderful, actually. I'm in the process of planning lessons for the upcoming weeks as well as trying to think up creative activities. That can be the most challenging aspect, don't you think, Cam?''

"This is true," Cami laughed in agreement. Their pets were very much a part of their family as the humans were. "Next time we meet up for an afternoon try to bring Marshmallow along.. Cypress really gets along well with her." Not only that put the crups running about and playing would be wonderful exercise for them both.

Camilla smiled warmly in return. Their family might not be very big but they had always been incredibly close and full of love. "It really is. Trying to teach a lesson that's both useful yet entertaining for the students is always tough. There a lot I want to cover in my lessons but coming up with a fun activity to really get them wanting to learn what I'm teaching takes time." Something she didn't always have when lessons were a constant thing and she liked to move from one thing to the next without any trouble.

A camera! Photography! How cool. Aymeric considered himself as an artistic person, therefore it was surprising to himself that he never thought of pursuing it. Or at least trying the whole concept of photography.

After shaking her hand he added to her remark, "I just think, it's quite unique. You know," he let out a shy smile, "I mean. Not a lot of people pursue photography, or show interest in it at all. But maybe that's just me being old-fashioned. I just think it's wicked." He was rambling to a stranger. But he was curious and fascinated so he couldn't help himself.

Now to the muses. It was the very reason he was out of the castle. "Well, I draw, paint and sculpt quite frequently," he paused and corrected himself, "On a daily basis, honestly. I've been doing so ever since I was little. But sometimes I run out of ideas so usually I go out and about and search for.. well.. a muse." He chuckled nervously to himself, he didn't share his interest to art with others. The Ravenclaw takes his art very personally.

Oh... her a name was Olivia, he should remember that.

"But your camera," he was rambling again, "It caught my eye because I usually draw... well nature... but photography. Well the whole concept is new to me. It's mechanical, it creates art in seconds unlike what I'm used to. Drawing cameras as well seems more of a challenge," he looked straight at the camera and examined, "Plenty of small yet important details." Various random ideas popped in his head, and he mumbled them out loud. He was talking but looked straight at her camera. She probably felt a bit awkward..

Aymeric looked back at the Gryffindor, with a facial expression of 'tamed-excitement'. "Excuse my monologue, I just get excited sometimes... by err..." his shyness began luring back, "New stuff." What in Merlin's Beard did that mean. Aymeirc scratched the back of his head nervously.

"You're always welcome to use my laptop for that if you ever need. Or any of the Fun Room computers.'' Kay hardly noticed her surroundings as they walked; she was in her own world while trying to keep up with hers and Cami's conversation.

This was great, Kaysha agreed with her! Cami smiled warmly listening as her cousin spoke. "I have part of this coming Thursday afternoon free. Do you have any time at all that afternoon?" she asked curiously. She tried her best to keep on track with her colleague's lesson schedules but it really wasn't that easy. Sometimes lessons overlapped one another or a time was changed for one reason or another. It shouldn't be to difficult for them to find an hour or so that they could set aside and meet up and talk while their cruppies got some play time in.

Kay thought it over, running the suggested time in her head as she mentally checked her schedule. Winding down to the end of the week, there were less classes for her to teach. "That's perfect. Sometime around four or five?'' If she were honest, she didn't really want to be spending time with anyone. But if she didn't, everyone would still keep bugging her. As of late, she wanted to be alone.

Kaysha laughed quietly. "Silly Cami. Good old Muggle ways of communication can be easier, you know.'' Really, Muggles were simply brilliant coming up with their ways for getting by daily but what would happen if this was combined with magic? The possibilities would be endless! "How have you been otherwise? Life has been treating you good?"
