Art's lessons usually begin with students walking into the lab, retrieving their white lab coats from hooks along the side of the wall (which you all wrote your name on during the first lesson of the term), and setting up their work space for the lesson. You can chat amongst yourselves, but nothing too full on.

Despite his warning to be careful she still continued to sway, but on purpose. Once or twice she actually came close to tipping out of her seat, but she caught herself and laughed even more. "You... you really should try this." She wasn't sure how other drinkers were fairing, but this was fun. Well at least it was up until now because what she didn't expect was the dizziness that quickly followed all of the swaying she was doing. It didn't take long before her smile turned upside down.

She was starting to get a little worried and it showed in her blue eyes. What if the potion didn’t work?
Not antlers then, what a shame. Distorted could be interesting though. Somehow now he wished HE had taken the elixir... but his time would come. "Fair enough," he mused in reply. Giving the contents of his cauldron two stirs in an anti-clockwise direction... and then he was almost done. He set the timer again just as his partner moaned about not feeling well.
"If you need to puke, do it behind you," he advised, because he really didn't fancy getting any on himself. Like. Gross.
But it wouldn't be too long a wait now, especially by the time she asked.
"A minute," he replied with a hopefully-reassuring smile. There wasn't much he could do regarding speeding things up, it would alter the integrity of the potion. And speaking of, Zeke looked up from his work as the Professor made observations about the antidote being darker than usual, and though he questioned it slightly, he wasn't the expert in the room... so if Proffy dude said it was good, then it was good.
With the timer going off, Zeke extracted some of the antidote into a vial and offered it to his partner. "Here, feel better," he said waiting to see the effects of it himself.

The elixir Jace took made him sit straighter. The liquid that he drank in one go was a cold one. He made weird faces as soon as he finished the poison, slightly confused with how it settled in his stomach. The liquid seem to be like how water is to oil. It’s just there, floating around his stomach, making him feel sick by the second. The Ravenclaw gagged, but did not hurl anything back on his workstation. The nausea didn’t last long however, but the effect was there. His vision was clouded so bad that he had to squint his already small eyes to see people.
And, who is that talking? Oh yeah, right, Elsa. Jace spun around to see two of her. “Hmm?” he said, his eyes definitely not making contact with hers. “I’m...I’m not sure? I forgot...let’s ask the professor?” Jace could not control his thoughts. He couldn’t use his logic at all. It was as if his gears were switched around so many times that it got stuck. Functioning yes, but not really.
“Professor?” Jace raised his hand groggily, swivelling his whole body to the other direction to where the professor stood. “Elsa already took the antidote...how long does she have to wait for it it to take effect?” The Ravenclaw blinked several times so he could focus his vision on the professor.
...
And...lol...LOOOOOL! “PROFESSOR! Hahhaha...haha...hihi. Another...” Giggle!Snort, “curious question?” The Ravenclaw was already sweating like a pig, his cheeks burning red, “WHHHYYYY are you wearing ADULT diapers? HMM?” Seriously, this poison IS fun! If only his classmates could see what he is seeing right now! XD

Elliot checked the time. Two minutes was up! The instructions had said to let it brew for at least two minutes. He blinked sputtering a little as Jay stumbled and sunk down. "Hey! Jaemin are you ok? It's ready we just need to wait on the professor. Stay with me." The first year looked in bad shape and Elliot could only hope he lasted long enough to drink the antidote.
Did Elliot not understand? Jaemin had to goooooo. He had to get out of the classroom, because his throat was very dry and the air was all in use right now. He tried to wave off the other boy and ended up slipping completely to the floor, blinking rapidly.
"I need to leave," he managed, panting softly. Now his stomach was adding itself to the mix, a dull ache in the pit of his belly. "The room is moving..."
And there were feet everywhere. He didn't like feet.

Her arms were hurting and Elsa hit the mortar with her hand so many times by now that it had started to turn purple. She eyed the remains of the bezoar rock with a cocked eyebrow, bringing it close to her face to inspect it since her eyes were not working properly. ATTTCHOOOOOOOOO! She sneezed into the powder.
Rubbing her eyes trying to clear her vision and removing the bezoar now glued to her face she looked sideways to Jace who was giggling. She wanted to know WHY he was giggling, she wanted to laugh as well! Elsa then listened to his odd question, he seemed to think Professor Art was wearing adult diapers? Did she hear that right? She looked at the teacher seeing nothing, partly because of the blurriness, then back at Jace and a fit of giggles erupted from her throat making her topple over her stool with a loud bang, ending in a mess of limbs tangled in odd angles. Ups..
Her legs were shaking so much she could hardly pull herself up and she felt her condition deteriorate instead of improving. That couldn't be right could it? How much time had passed by now? "Professor, I'm not f-feeling b-better.. on the c-contrary" she managed to say with effort from under the table, trying to pull herself up to the table.
I have to brew this, Jace must have made some mistake on his potion, I'm going to die! the thought alone sobered her up a little and with struggle she pulled herself up.
Antidote, antidote, antidote..
"Gotta cook this pumpkin pastie" she murmured, picking up her cauldron from under the table and adding 4 measures (-ish since some of it was now on her face) of crushed Bezoar (not a fine powder either) and 2 measures of Standard Ingredient.
There was something more next, she browsed her papers with shaking hands, the pale green of her skin increasing in it's intensity. Water? Was that it? Where was her wand? She couldn't conjure water. She had to drag herself to the back of the room and fill her cup. TWICE. She winced and groaned in pain as she leaned agains each table to get to the water tap, nearly tripping in her own legs.
Completely soaked in sweat, shaking like bamboo in the wind and overwhelmed by a sick sleepiness, she added the 2 cups of water to her cauldron, heated it to a medium temperature of 5 seconds (after finding her wand neatly placed next to her quill) and then left it to brew for 2 minutes (instead of 5) resting her forehead in her arms for a moment. Just a moment to restzzzz...ZZZ..zZZZ.zzzz

Quite frankly Esme would much rather listen to rat man as opposed to Rachel. There were two reasons for this: 1. he was answering her question about the Unicorn horns, and 2. the Ravenclaw was continuing to be a Little Miss Grumpy Pants.
Satisfied with his answer, she was glad to continue despite the fact that her potion looked darker than it was supposed to. Was that a problem? Not according to rat man, who explained it away by saying that it was a result of the Standard Ingredient being rather fresh. If anyone would know, it would be the professional Potioneer... She was taking his word for it and he had better be correct or things were about to get a lot worse.
"Uh huh," she said simply to Rachel as she handed over the antidote. This was just talk, and she was sure that they were going to work together again in the future; they were becoming rather good friends. Really she wasn't holding and grudges because she knew that her friend couldn't help the behavior and was usually very friendly. "Just think of Disney Princesses?" she suggested, but Rachel had already gone off to grab the ingredients.
Right.
Taking that as her cue to take her potion, Esme grabbed a sample and took it back over to the workstation. Downing it in one go, she watched as Rachel started working on the antidote.

Uh what? Tia was trying to not be deterred by the fact that her partner could barely stand up. She was trying to not be deterred by the fact that they CRUSHED the bezoar, when they could have just given it whole. She was trying to stay focused and give Art the benefit of the doubt. But all through her staying focused, she wondered if she was doing the right thing. She wondered if MAYBE Art was dazed and confused. If he was under the imperius curse. It'd happened before with Hogwarts Professor being under an imperius curse. She just didn't know enough about curses to know to identify it. To counter it, somehow. If she, a seventeen year old witch could even do such a feat?
Distractedly, the seventh year miscounted and added five measures of crushed bezoar to her cauldron. But she doubted anyone would even notice. Besides, bezoar wouldn't hurt anything. Standard ingredient. She was careful this time, to add two heaping measures of standard ingredient. Because she'd added extra of bezoar, a bit extra of the other ingredients would be alright, wouldn't it? Two cups of water.
"Almost done," she said to Kitty, though she doubted the younger claw was paying attention. Heating only briefly, she then set the timer for five minutes. Five minutes. Could it seem any longer? Finally when the timer buzzed, she eyed her elixir hopefully. It wasn't the light colour that Art said it would be, but a dark shade similar to his. But not quite, because she had a couple ingredients left to add. One pinch of unicorn horns, then two clockwise stirs. Two mistletoe berries, then two counter-clockwise stirs, now time to let sit.
"Okay, after a few moments, just let it simmer and then you can try some." And hopefully it would work? Though she was doubtful, somehow. She didn't quite know why, but there was something definitely wrong.

Rachel ignored Esme to the fullest and everyone around her as she crush the bezoar. The effort to crush the thing left her exhausted and ever so often she would have to take rest by sitting down to catch herself. It was one of those times when she was resting that Haddie came over. At first, Rachel hadn't noticed her until the incantation was said and the wand waved in her face. She swiped at it. "Watch where you're pointing that,'' she said grumpily. What was that? Esme could use Scourgify? Whatever was Haddie on about? Rachel was currently lost and decided that Haddie had lost her mind.
Once Haddie was gone and she regained some strength, Rachel resumed pounding the bezoar to an immensely fine powder. She measured out four measures of the powder to add to the cauldron and then two measures of Standard ingredients. All of this, no matter how easy they seemed, drained the energy out of the Eagle. She leaned against the work station. Her head was pounding a little more now and she was wondering why on Earth the antidote had not kicked in. Was it possible that Esme hadn't brewed it correctly?

Azura's head was getting so so fuzzy.. She felt warm and so sleepy!! She scooted her chair over to where Mason was brewing the potion and she looked up at the girl.. "I don't feellllllll good.. I'm sleeppppyyyyyy." She groaned out as she looked up at the girl..
"I likeeeee you! You're fun Masseeee, Mase.. Can I callllk you Mase?"
It seemed the elixir had loosened the Ravenclaw's normally tight tongue! And words were flowing from her mouth whether she liked it or not..
She raised her head and looked around a bit and she smiled as she saw Jace
"Mase! Maseeeeee that's Jaceeee!" She said pointing to the Ravenclaw boy. "I likeeeeeee him toooooo.. Not like likeeeeeee like, but he is my friend! My nice niceeeeeee friend! When we first mettttttt he really likeddddd my eyessssss! In factttttt he got sooooooo close to me to look at them.. I thoughttttttt he might kisssssss me! And then As I looked into his chocolatey eyessssss..
Hmmmm chocolate is gooddddd do we have anyyyyy?
But as he lookedddd intoooo my eyessss I thought that I would like him foreverrrrrr.. But he doesn't like my eyes anymoreeee and that makes me sadddddd."
She sighed softly.
"Whyyyy doesn't he liked them anymoreeee? Are they not prettyyyy?" she sighed again..

Besides the taste which she found rather unpleasant - as was the case with potions in general - Esme didn't have any complaints. It would be silly to hope that she had taken an ineffective potion, but there she was still feeling okay.
...
Why was Rachel zooming in and out of focus?
Squinting, she tried to correct her vision, but it was getting worse and worse the longer she tried to get it back to normal. Squinting even MORE didn't seem to do the trick either; in fact it seemed to make her feel worse. "I am so dizzzzzzzzzy," she said to what she thought was Rachel. Seemed like she was just as snappy as ever. Clearly the antidote hadn't worked. Oh joy.
Before she could grasp the full implication of this revelation, Esme suddenly felt like she was going to retch. "I'm going to be sick..." she said right before vomiting in the closest thing she could find - Rachel's cauldron.
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ Claimed by Bits ❤️ ~ Queen of Typos ❄ Magical Mosh Pit ❄
The next thing to do was to add water to the cauldron. Rachel was continuing to ignore Esme and everyone else though someone's familiar and loud voice saying something about eyes and chocolate made the pounding in her head to increase. "Oh, shut up! No one cares about your eyes.'' she snapped to no one in particular.
Rachel picked up her cup and held her wand in a shaking hand over it, standing close to her cauldron. However, before she could as much get one syllable of the incantation she was to use, there was a retching sound- the sound of someone being sick. "EWWW!" She jumped back when she realised it was Esme barfing into her cauldron. "That's disgusting!'' The Eagle glared at the Badger. "Fix it. Vanish it. Do something or else you can go about brewing your own antidote.'' This entire situation had put her in an even worse mood.

Being sick helped somewhat, but Rachel was still zooming around like some blurry mess. She was going on about brewing an antidote, and Esme wasn't entirely sure why. It was hard to focus on anything right now, though she did remember Haddie telling her moments before that she could use Scourgify.
What did that even MEAN? What was she supposed to Scourgify?
Confused and still feeling dizzy with blurred vision, Esme closed her eyes. Didn't really help much and maybe she was going to be sick again; Rachel wouldn't like that very much. Right now that wasn't too big a concern to her, however, because she was more focused on feeling better.
Maybe she should lie down...
Carefully Esme set herself down on the floor. Don't mind the Hufflepuff lying by your feet, Rachel.

Tenacius and the room were still sways and spinning, and the light was still being annoyingly streaky, but at least she felt more steady. She shook her head, or tried to since it was still firmly laid on the desk. "No... Just the silver and gold design. It's pretty, right?" She had placed the wand down in front of her, so she could see it and Tenacius. "The wood's ebony. Likes people who aren't afraid to be themselves... or something. Do you know a spell that'll make the room stop spinning? It's really annoying."
Haddie closed her eyes... but then couldn't see Tenacius anymore, which was terrible and opened them again. "That smells really good," she told him, gesturing at the cauldron. "Like caramelized cherries." Nope, definitely needed to keep her eyes closed. The spinning and swaying was too much. So Haddie compromised. She reached over and laid her hand on top of Tenacius' hand and shut her eyes. That's better.

There are some places that kill unicorns and breed them to harvest their horns, but those are illegal. I uhh, I get my stock from the apothecary. They remove about... oh, about three-quarters of the uhh, the horn, and the uhh, the remaining stump regenerates." He had made sure. He loved creatures. He didn't want harm to come to them.
Oop and it looked like someone did need his help with a vanishing charm. He looked around his desk, and in some drawers before finally finding his wand. He brushed off a few specs of dust and walked over to Miss. Pinkerton-Oliveira. "Evanesco," he said, pointing at the vomit. Gone. Hey presto! "Clean for more vomit," he said with a chuckle. It brought him back to his healer days.
Mr. Meriwether seemed to be having quite a fun time, and Art found himself chuckling to himself. "Well at least he's not got his head in a cauldron," he said to Madam Curie. He noticed that Miss. Neverwinter had taken the potion and she seemed to be tolerating it okay...
Art looked up at Miss. Wojack-Gusey, "It will turn a teal colour. There uhh some-sometimes it can be a bit-a bit darker, or lighter depending on the quality of ingredients." He continued with his own potion. But there was more ot her question. "Err.. well I... I don't really need magic. I didn't use it when I was a chemist, and, well... I suppose I don't need it now." He gave her a smile. Though it was much better to use magic to vanish vomit. He didn't fancy rinsing the chunky stomach contents down the sink. The smell. Ugh, no.
He finished off his potion, adding a pinch of unicorn horn, stirring, adding the mistletoe berries, stirring again, and waiting a further 2 minutes for the potion to sit. He looked into his cauldron and noticed that it was quite a bit darker than it usually was. But that was okay. He put it down to the Standard Ingredient. Perhaps it hadn't been prepared all that long ago. "Well it looks like the potion is a little bit darker than it usually is. Don't worry though, I think the Standard Ingredient is quite fresh. When it's fresh, the leaves are fresher and seep more colour out." He scooped the potion into a large vial, and cleaned up his area.
"Okay," he said with a clap. "N-now that we have all b-brewed our potions, your can give your partner a cup of it." That would be about half of their potion. "And then store the remainder in one of your vials." Just in case they wanted to use it again. He went about pouring more of the fakePoison elixir into some small glasses and lined them along his desk. "Those who have brewed the potion, come and get a sample of the elixir," he said with wide, excited eyes. "Then... uhh then those who have already had the poison can drink the antidote." He handed out the samples of poison. "It might take a few minutes to uhh, to work," he added.
OOC: OH NO, that pesky Narrator!
Brewers: Hand your potion to your partner! Then come and get a sample, and become the drinker! Drinkers: Drink up! Remember that the potion WILL NOT WORK. So you get to brew the potion under the effects of the poison. Keep brewing, and RPing the effects of the poison.
Catching up: Keep going, if you haven't finished your posts, and then move on to the next stage. The class will end in about 2 days, so you have plenty of time.
Remember that you DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT FOR YOUR PARTNER TO POST. I'm aware that timezones and real life don't always match up.
5 posts for the brewer, and 3 for the drinker at least.
If you have any questions, flag it in the title and we will get to it.

Relief that is a few minutes she'd be feeling better. "Don't drink the poison yet... wait... until I'm ready to brew the antidote."
Even through all of the general not-feeling-well etched on her face, the look of worry was noticeable. She was gonna fail at making the antidote and leave Tenacius poisoned... or worse. "Maybe... save some of your antidote, just in case mine's a failure, okay?" With that, Haddie put her head down and waited for the effects of the antidote to kick in and counter the faux-poison.
A minute went by.
Two minutes.
This day was crummy. Of all the days to finally team-up with Tenacius, it had to be the day the Professor Newton decided to poison them and let her embarrass herself uncontrollably in front of the Gryffindor boy. Ugh. Haddie made a mental note to despise Newton as soon as she was up for despising anyone. She simply didn't have the energy to despise anyone at thee moment. Not even Rachel. Not even Davie-freaking-Truebridge...
RACHEL! Haddie lifted her head a little too fast, and had to close her eyes to steady herself. She looked over at her Ex-bestie... this day was awful enough with out dealing with Haddie's prank. Sigh. "Be right back," she said, patting Tenacius' hand.
She stood up, supporting herself against the desk. Taking Kira with her, Haddie stumbled and staggered, using other workstations and desks to keep from falling over, over to Rachel and Esme. When she finally made it the other girls' workstation, colliding with it more than anything, her skin was clammy with the effort. Haddie raised her wand and aimed it, somewhat shakily, at Rachel's face. "Finite Incantatem!" Black spots clouded her vision. Casting even that spell in her state took to much out of her, nearly causing her to pass out entirely. There was no way she'd be able to scourgify it off... "You can cast scourgify now," she told Esme and stumbled her way, slower than before, back to her desk.
Haddie collapsed into her chair, gripping the desk so hard to keep from tumbling off that her knuckles and fingers were white. Or maybe it was just that all of her was white. "Professor, I don't think the antidote works. Don't drink it, T..." How was she gonna brew an antidote if she couldn't stand?
So her wand wood is ebony. Interesting. But before he can correct her about the world spinning he felt her hand on his. Well now this is even more interesting. He gave Haddie's hand a reassuring squeeze back. Man its gonna suck if all this kind of attention was only due to Haddie being under the influence.
And now he ladled some of his potion in a cup and gave it to the Claw girl before transferring the rest of his potions into a vial. As per the convo in class its supposed to look teal. Tenacius raised a brow as he held the vial up against the light. It barely looked teal. But is it just so because the dungeons were kinda dark? Maybe its teal under bright sunlight? Can they even expose this to sunlight? Eh so many maybes.
He watched Haddie drink his potion and waited. And waited. And waited. She doesn’t seem to look any better than she did earlier. Again another doubtful look at the vial "I followed the instructions as accurately as I can, picked out the best ingredients from the supplies area...." Aww man did that mean his potion was a dud? "Maybe it takes some time for the potion to take effect?" Ugh now he was just looking for excuses. He hates that.
But it seemed like Haddie can move about, so he kept a warry eye on her as he went to collect the poison. He was doubtful about his potion and now he was worried if Haddie's potion might come out the same as his. Because common ingredients source see?
"Yeah I'll hold onto this while you go and brew the potion. I'll take it as soon as you're done with that." Also if Haddie hasn’t recovered from her poisoning at least one of them should be coherent enough to go for help in case things takes a turn for the worse right? Or that Haddie needs help with brewing.
Yeah… it might be more fun to be all trippy taking the poison, but sighs Gryffindor chivalry, someone still has to make sure things wont got to hell in a handbasket.

Rachel continued to glare at Esme. Really, this was a Hufflepuff no one should ever partner with. She waited for her to vanish the potion so that the re-brewing could commence but this was not to be. She leaned against her workstation to conserve on her energy though it did get through to her that Esme was suffering just as much as her. Rachel decided she should try to be understanding.
Oh no! What was Esme doing? "This is no time to sleep!'' Rachel bent, trying and in vain to tug her friend up. She just didn't have the energy. She eventually gave up, collapsing in a sitting position on the floor near Esme's head. "Professor?'' she called weakly. "Professor who owns the rat? Can you please banish the contents of my cauldron? That spell's too advanced for me and I need to continue brewing.'' Rather, she needed to start all over.

She felt so weird.. she wanted to go to sleep... Could she drink the antidote yet??
He squeezed her hand! Tenacius Salander squeezed her hand!! Whoa... head rush. Haddie lifted her head and gave the lion a soft lopsided smile of pleasant surprise and gratitude. Feeling like crud was probably the only thing keeping her show how excited and how much she was freaking out about this. He squeezed her hand!!!
--------------------
After a moment or two she felt steady enough and stood with a nod to Tenacius. Her movements were slow and labored. It felt like she was moving through water, like the air had taken the consistency of syrup. And yet it still swayed and spun with the same ease and vigor as it had been. Stupid room.
Black spots formed around the edges of her eyes as she stood, even though she was going slow. Casting that spell for Rachel had really taken a lot out of her. Haddie swayed a little as the spots retreated. "I'm good." She sounded more like she was trying convince herself then anything. "Yep. Good." She sounded more sure this and gave a single curt, goofy nod. "Okay, first is crushing bez-beza-bezoo... the Beelzebob thingy..." Haddie snorted and giggled. "BeelzeBob..." Haddie blinked away the black spots that were trying to return. "If I fall you'll catch me right?"
The bezoar went into the mortar easily enough, it was crushing it that was troublesome. The darn mortar wouldn't stay still and she kept hitting the table about 60% of the time. How was everyone else doing it? Haddie glanced around the room. Ohhhh, they were moving with their mortars. Well crud, that doesn't help. And why was Rachel's face still marked up? "Ca-can you scourgify Rachel's face for me, so I don't pass out?"
A most unusual sensation hit Kitty just then. No longer was the room spinning, yet now she felt as if she were floating through the classroom. Her eyes showed her that she was still seated at her desk with her legs firmly planted on the floor yet all the same she felt as if she were flying. Not flying like a bird, more like a bubble - floating aimlessly through open air. It was a very scary sensation, but when she opened her mouth to scream her lungs wouldn't cooperate.
Thankfully Tia had just finished brewing her antidote. Kitty snatched the cup from the table and drank it all in one sip. Please let this work Kitty thought to herself as she continued to mentally drift through the room.
She waited...
...and waited...
And waited even more. Nothing was happening. Maybe it took a little bit of time. Vaguely she was aware that she was supposed to be brewing an antidote for Tia, but how could she do that in this condition? Trying to conceal her discomfort, Kitty stood up and gathered the ingredients, feeling as if she were floating towards her destination rather than walking. Then it got even worse. Now she felt as if she was spinning around in circles as well as floating through the room.
"HOLD ME!" Kitty screeched, dropped her ingredients, and threw her arms around Tia's shoulders. She was convinced that if she let go she would float away for real, and so she held on for dear life.
Kitty was very much starting to regret choosing poison over embarrassment.
Melbourne was going to be saved…even though really she was just really warm right now. “Thank you” she muttered as the potion was handed over to her and immediately drank it.
“oh…my…god…it hasn’t changed I still feel all” she laughed “gross.” She add the last word before shuffling to her feat and moving over toward the work station…”i…still have to make it” she muttered she stood up and moved over to the workstation and her waiting cauldron.
“Scourgify” she cast cleaning anything that could have been on the cauldron off of it.

Olly really hoped that Sam would not throw up. Or that even if she did, it would not be anywhere in his vicinity. He especially hoped that he would not throw up after he took the potion himself.
When he had finished stirring, it was time to add mistletoe berries. Two of them, to be exact. He dropped them into the cauldron and grabbed the stirrer again. It was two stirs again, but this time counter-clockwise. All that was left was to wait two minutes, and then Sam could drink the potion and be all better. After two minutes had passed, he filled a cup with the potion and handed it to Sam.
Austin's concerns for his partner were put to the side when the dragon egg timer dinged. Scarlett was important, but finishing this potion was more important. Finishing the potion meant she could get better. This was about priorities. So he took a deep breath when he knew she was okay, and turned back to his cauldron.
"First things first..." He mumbled. "Unicorn horn." He added the pinch, making sure it didn't stick to his fingers or anything. If there was one thing he learned, it was that you needed to use all of the ingredients. Then he took one of his stirrer sticks, cleaned it off, and stirred clockwise. "One... two..." It was strange how quickly his anxieties faded away when he was behind his cauldron. Making something, following instructions, it was soothing for him.
One he finished stirring, he added the mistletoe berries, making sure not to splash any of his potion. That was another tip he learned in his previous years. Nine times out of ten, potions don't like it when you splash them around. So he added them gently. Once that was done, he cleaned off his stirrer again, and stirred twice: "One... Two..." counter clockwise.
The only thing left to do was wait. Austin turned his timer to two minutes, and glanced over to Scarlett, hoping she was alright.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Norah looked bad. Like, worse than bad.
He looked away from his potion to look at the younger Hufflepuff. He should have taken the poison instead of her. But it was too late now so Yoongi focused on making the antidote for her. He was so focused on brewing that he broke out in a sweat a little and he used his sleeve to wipe his forehead.
From the corner of his eyes, he saw that Norah was resting her head on her knees. Was she nauseous? Please don’t puke? Ok? He put in the four measures of crushed bezoar in his cauldron before looking at the blackboard. “Don’t speak” he told her before he grabbed the standard ingredient. “Safe your energy, I got this” he smiled. ………………Wow Yoongi? Safe your energy? That sounded like she was dying dude!
Adding two measures of standard ingredient to his cauldron as well, the Gryffindor then searched for a cup he knew was somewhere on the cauldron. Finding it on the edge at Norah’s side, the Head Boy reached out in front of her and grabbed it. Despite the situation, he was surprisingly calm. He knew he was known as the scaredy cat around the school. Merlin, it was even embarrassingly featured in the year book. But something switched inside him when he had to take care of others. Like how eventhough he had been scared to death in the forbidden forest two years ago, he still volunteered to help out. Perhaps that was courage for him? Being scared yet still fight?
The smile on his face disappeared when he heard Norah cough and he blushed slightly. He had nearly forgotten about his antidote ‘cause he had been thinking so much! “Nearly done” he said and pointed his wand at the cup. Casting a non-verbal aguamenti charm to fill it with water, he added two cups of water to the cauldron and then proceeded to set the temperature on medium for five seconds.
Checking the blackboard again, Yoongi set his watch for five minutes and sat back in his seat. “Got to wait for five minutes, just hang in there okay?” he said.

After already cleaning her cauldron off Mel quickly – well, not so quickly collected the needed ingredients from Professor Newton…the others were safely in her potions kit that she had brought with her for school. Yes.
Wait was she sweating now? She was. “Aquamenti” she muttered pointing the wand at her own face and letting the water splash across her arid skin. “that’s better” she muttered before casting a quick water wicking spell on her clothes and a crying spell on her hair. Who cared if she looked like a drowned sewer rat.
Not her.
At the desk she proceeded to clean her stirrers, knives, and every single item that could possibly touch the cauldron….then she had an idea. Maybe a brilliant one. “Accio medical mask” she muttered to herself and yeah sure she was technically sneaking it from the hospital wing but it was better than coughing things on her cauldron right? Attaching it to her face she left the second pair she had snagged on the worktable for Madge? It was Madge right? With her mortar and pestle freshly cleaned she began to crush her Bezoar stone into a fine powder.
Crushchruuuuushcrushchruuushing and there. It was Powdery. Adding four pinches of the bezoar powder into her cauldron before adding the two measures of what had been called “standard ingredient” to the cauldron…what exactly was standard ingredient?

"I need to leave," he managed, panting softly. Now his stomach was adding itself to the mix, a dull ache in the pit of his belly. "The room is moving..."
And there were feet everywhere. He didn't like feet.
What in the...Merlin's beard! Elliot leaned down, cup of antidote in hand, prying the smaller boy's lips open. "Jay drink this. You...look dehydrated." He poured some of the antidote into his partner's mouth before gently hoisting him back into his seat fanning him a little. "You...you'll be ok Jaemin. The professor wouldn't let anything happen to us but you can't leave"
Elliot made sure Jay was propped against the chair and the table (to keep him from flopping onto the floor like grindylow out of water ok!) before heading up to the professor's desk to take his own small sample of not-poison. "Well bottom's up!" Elliot downed the small bit of poison and made a face. Did no one else taste this?
She had finally zeroed in on the mortar, and was pounding the bezoar to dust by only holding the pestle about 3 inches away from the mortar. It was the highest she could hold the pestle while maintaining a more consistent accuracy. The problem was, in her weakened state and the the fact that 3 inches wasn't much leverage, it was taking forever to crush the bezoar.
That and the fact that every time she hit the bezoar and mortar with the pestle, it sent vibrations ricocheting around in her skull like a jackhammer. POUND POUND POUND POUND! The bezoar still wasn't a completely crushed let alone a fine powder. POUND POUND POUND POUND! Like echo-y daggers... attached to sledgehammers in her head...
Haddie winced and felt herself tip slightly backwards, staggering a little to keep from falling over. POUND POUND POUND POUND! Now it looked even less crushed!! Forget this. It's good enough. She couldn't take the crushing anymore. It hurt her more than the stupid bezoar.
Four medium grain, slightly chunky measures of bezoar were tossed haphazardly into the slightly melted cauldron of hers.

"Drink up."
It was comfy here. Oh so comfy here. It was becoming a real struggle trying to keep her eyes open and vaguely focused on the cauldron Oliver was brewing in. She closed one eye to see if it helped.
It kinda did, though it meant she didn't perceive the cup Oliver was passing to her until it was RIGHT IN HER FACE.
"What's dis?" she asked, pushing herself back up on her hands to see it better. Admittedly, she did have a bit of a dry throat; a drink would be nice. "Fanks." She gulped it down, her brain only belatedly realising that it was the antidote she'd been waiting for. Well, she'd just have to hope he'd brewed it correctly. Of course he had, the professor wouldn't let him give it her otherwise.

”Does anyone else see a bunny?” She asked as she stared toward the back of Eliots head. Yep. Totally not visualizing a first year as a human-bunny right now.
"I need to breathe" she muttered as she pointed her wand at her cauldron and very weakly spoke "aquamenti" the water didnt pour out it trickled. Like a broken faucet. "no more water wand mooooore water" she hissed at it and waited until it was filled with the proper two cups.
Turning her burner to medium to waited...one...two...three...four...five there. Now she just had to wait for five minutes before moving on...and she was back to staring at the bunny-person.
