YAS. The book has shrunk! Chance could practically do a dance. Instead, he did the Napoleon Dynamite. Putting a raised fist in the air, he brought it down his front and bowed his head with his arm. He let out a, "yassss" in a hushed tone. You really couldn't be too excited over getting charms right. With Chance, he was almost always overly excited.

Hearing a voice, he looked at the book beside his shrunken book. It was... Benny right? Hayley's best friend. He had seen him on the train for a split second. "Hey." He said and twirled his wand in his wand. He gave a smile. Not his million dollar smile he liked to save for specia people, but a smile none-the-less. "Did you see my awesome shrinking abilities?" He asked pointing to the book. He really didn't know what to say to the boy, so that was the first thing that popped into his mind.

"I've got to learn how to bring it back to normal size now." Chance stated, chewing his lip. Maybe, he shouldn't have shrunk that particular book. He will just have to ask Hayley if he could borrow hers.

Here she was. Bored out of her mind. She didn't know what she wanted to do but she didn't know one thing and that was she wanted to have Kace by her side right now. Emmylou Yeah, she did know what she wanted to do now and that was get a hug from Kace because he gave really nice hugs. After talking things out with him the sixth year noticed that she was getting some 'Sorry' looks from other students that had read the gossip about Kace. She didn't want those looks because no one was going to get get between her and her boyfriend, she knew that she would never let that happen and she knew that he would let that happen either. Emmylou made her way to the courtyard and looked around.

"Yep, she is. You must have seen her at the feast. She's a second year and always full of energy. Like you.'' You just had to love these Puffers and their enthusiasm for practically EVERYTHING. It was in their DNA, man. "She thought it was a kraken. I dunno who or what made her think that but she was rather apprehensive about meeting old Batholomew at first.''

N'aw. "Don't think like that, James. Why not keep trying so that you can be able to say you mastered a new spell almost as soon as you arrived at Hogwarts?'' Adi had to encourage the badger. It would do no good to put things off when you can make an attempt at it today. "Come on! Give it another try.'' Adi got to his feet because he was tired of sitting. The Huffie needed to be on the move!

Look at those HuGE eyes light up and widen! And then there were the grabby hands James was making "You're welcome!'' Woot! Adi was so darn pleased that James really wanted the cards. He also seemed to be on a good start with getting to know the firsties. That was always cool. "I've been collecting since my first year and I eat A TON of chocolate froggies soooo do the math, James. That's a ton of cards.'' Hehe. "I've got loads more at home since it's always too much to be fetching to Hogwarts but I can always get some more to you. Any particular ones you're missing in your collection?

Kace decided to make his way to the courtyard and decided to skateboard around the courtyard. He was grinding on the benches and doing some nice tricks. As he landed and took in the view, he noticed a little blonde was walking around and looking for someone. Could it possibly be him? Yeahhh I mean who else? Nah she had friends but she seemed attached to him lately. He knew why because he was going to leave soon and graduate. He understood though and he wanted to spend more time with her too. He grinned and tapped her shoulder and said, "Hey Emms.." and kissed her cheek. "Nice to know you are enjoying the nice day like I am.." he grinned and held her hand and lead her to the center of the courtyard.

"Do you wanna lie down on the blanket with me?" he gestured towards the blanket on the floor.

Michael couldn't help but laugh, he wasn't referring to her height and he was pretty sure she knew that. Little Bunny had a sense of humour. "Maybe we should give you a little bit of Skele-Gro and then you can catch up to me." He teased as he gave the ends of her hair a small tug. She would need a lot of Skele-Gro to catch up to him, what with him being six foot, four inches and all.

It was always the girls that had the best reactions to his tattoo. It was amazing how many liked tatts. "Thanks. It took weeks to complete but it was worth it." And he had given the tattooist extra galleons for the awesome job he had done. Not only for the tatt but for the piercings as well but he thought it best not to get into that. He gave nonchalant shrug of his shoulders to her statement of it being rough. Yes it had been but he wasn't a Gryffindor for nothing. "Got into a fight my first week at Durmstrang. I was doing all right for about the first couple of minutes but even the best dueler would find it hard to win against four opponents. And let me tell you, the students at Durmstrang know spells we've never even heard of." But he had spent two years there and now he knew those spells.

But he didn't want to think about that stuff right now and ruin the reunion with his friend. "Tell me what's been going on with you Little Bunny. Besides challenging good looking Gryffindors." He laughed as he bumped her shoulder again. "I accept your challenge by the way."

Angel looked at Hady and smiled. "Okay!" Angel fastened her bag back up, she didn't want anything to get lost or fall out of her bag, she had lost a few things because she left her bag unfastened last term. "Yeah, I was thinking the Librarian might be able to help us more, though we can go ask someone else if you want." Angel hoped that her friend wanted to go with the Librarian suggestion because it would be awesome.

Seeing Angel fix her bag and get to her feet Hady took that as her cue to do the same. Making sure her bag was closed properly she got to her feet and slung the strap of her bag over her shoulder, her free hand wiping any dirt or grass from her pants. "No I'm perfectly okay with going to speak to him there was a spell I was hoping to ask him if he happened to know anyhow." Hady replied with a small grin all set to follow her friend into the castle to the library. "Hopefully he has some ideas for us so we can get this sleepover going, I could honestly really use it right now."

Now that had sounded really cool in her head but now Maggie didn't have a good answer to his question. Except for..."Wouldn't you like to know" paired with a smirk. There was some leaning in too since that was what he was doing, you know.

Okay, after a short moment of silence Maggie decided that she should probably say more.

"I'm working on it." Maggie leaned back again, all casual-like and grinned at him. "Who gets to touch your hair then?" Hmmmm? Since they were on topic.

Chris wandered down to the courtyard half hoping to run into Rusty so she could teach him more of that nature magic stuff. It was interesting to say the list. Finding a seat he watched everyone walk around and hummed to himself. There was still so much he hadn't explored yet.

Torie headed out thinking on going out into the pathways and seeing what he might be able to do and explore. Been there over a month and still hadn't explored all that much yet. He was also getting restless though, wanting to do something bad mischievous and hopefully get away with it. Jay was too nervous to do it though. He need a partner in crime really. "Hey Chris!" he said spotting him when he made it to the courtyard. He smirked a little, maybe he'd get him out of his boredom.

People were everywhere didn't anyone actually go to class? Chris was just about ready to go back to the castle or..well do something else though he didn't have a clue. Hearing his name he looked up and spotted Tori. "Hey Tor. What're you doing out here? Haven't seen you since we got here."

He plopped down beside him and settled back on his arms. "Eh, bored, didn't want to sit in the common room anymore doing homework." Or practicing that spell. He really thought something was wrong with his wand, it just wasn't working for him! "Too frustrated with the wandwork....needed a break." he muttered finally. "I can't seem to be able to do the spell for Astronomy."

Hmmm. He'd have to meet her! "Maybe we can meet next time!" MHMM! "A kraken?" He tilted his head curiously. "What's a kraken? Is that the thingy from Pirates of the Caribbean?" The big eaty thing with reaaaaal bad breath? "Bartholomew? Is that the squid's name?" That was a cool name. A long one, but a cool one.

"Try now? Again?" But he hadn't done it a few times already! He pulled a face, but pointed his wand at the water again. "Glacius!" He then poked the water and watched it ripple. "There might be too much water. Mum said to start small if I am trying to change something." Should he try to get the drops from the side of the tiers? He decided to try that and pointed his wand at the drops. "Glacius!" Then he reached to touch them and made an "Ooooooh!" sound when the drop was frozen. "I DID IT!" HAAA!

Plonking himself down on the grass, James started sorting the cards into piles. Ones he had and ones he didn't. He went through and picked out the ones he needed for his collection, but BEAMED at Adi's words. "Lots of chocolate and LOTS of cards!" He liked maths. "You have loads at home too?" His eyes almost popped out of his head. "Uhhhh..." He flicked through the cards. "I'm missing Hermione Granger anddddd I don't know about the others. I'll have a look!" Yep! "THANK YOU!" He was pretty much bouncing on the spot. His collection would be finished very soon at this rate!

Out of the corner of his eye, James saw his brother and saw the smirk too. "Uh oh..." He usually got in trouble after smirking like that. "That's my brother." He pointed to Torie for Adi. "He gets into trouble with mum LOTS." Yep. Prefect should be watching him, yep, yep. Who was he with?

Chris watched his friend sit down beside him. "You? Doing homework?" he laughed and fussed with his shoe string which had come undone. "The Astronomy spell? I can help you with that later if you want. Not now though. Homework time is after dinner." He eyed some of the kids who were walking around and looked back at Torie.

He looked around and spotted James. "Hey, Tor, why don't we do something fun. Like before school started. Everyone in my house views studying as fun and it's boring."

He stuck out his tongue at the homework bit. He did do it if it was something he liked to do... "I'd really like that!" he said his eyes widening. "Even Jay got it almost right away, I felt so embarrassed when we went down to do the practical and I couldn't even do it!" That had been horrible!! "Homework time is after dinner?" he asked with a snort "I thought it was last minute as late into the night as you dared."

His eyes followed Chris' and spotted Jay. Doing a spell too. Was that frozen water?? How.... "I think we should!" he said nodding, "Something bad.....reeeeal bad" he added a little smirk growing more. "But not get caught." He snorted at the part of studying being fun "I know a few people like that..."

Chris laughed as Tor stuck out his tongue. "It's not that difficult. Just need to practice." Though he was probably sure it would have been funny to watch him try and fail. "Yes after diner." He stuck his own tongue out at him, "I'm not like you Tor. I actually do my work remember." Mmhmm.

"Really bad?" He wasn't so sure about that one. He didn't really have a desire to get in trouble. "Why does it have to be something bad? Why can't it just be something fun?" That sounded more fun anyway.

It was a nice autumn day, so Lux thought she would spend some time outside in the courtyard with a book. This way she could read and also watch the leaves and people that passed by.

She was in a really good mood because she had talked to Bay earlier and that always made her so much happier. Beaming, she took a seat on one of the benches and pulled her book out of her bag. She wanted to get in as much reading time as possible this term since she hadn't much of a chance to last year. Maybe she would go over and sit by the fountain later, but for now she was perfectly happy with where she was.

Henric was literally huffing and puffing trying to catch his toadette, but that little critter was too fast for him! He watched his toad hopped towards the benches area,"Princesss!!Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, you come back here right now, you littl~"he jumped forward and dived under one of the benches."Got you! Muahahaa!"Henric laughed(evilly). He didn't noticed that there was someone already sitting on top until he saw the back of two legs in front of him. A girl's legs...His eyes widened as soon as he realised it, poor Henric got up too early and hit his head on the bench.
"Oww!"he yelped, instantly letting his co-owned pet toad go...AGAIN. (Someone grabbed his toad fast!)

It was Henric's parental time with their precious princess toadette, so Ilia decided she would take a little alone time. She liked to meditate and clear her mind because there was always too much in it. She found a tree with a bit of shade and no one else around. Holding George, (her pet rock) in one hand like a worry stone she leaned against the tree for a break.

Why was Henric always on her mind? Was that just a best friend thing? She wouldn't really know. The only thing close to a best friend she had before was her cousin. Did that count? She thought of Freyr yes, but nothing like how she thought of Henric. She'd known her cousin her whole life, but Henric just this year and she thought of him at least ten times more. The fact of it puzzled her and she lost herself in thought.

Angel looked at Hady and giggled. "Awesome, maybe we should go now and talk to him then." Angel had to think about a few things before they went like asking him a couple of other questions but she could remember them in a bit. "So you ready to go now then?"

If it didn't prove any good then they could go speak to someone else. Now that they knew where they were going Hady headed off towards the castle and their place of purpose knowing Angel was going with her.

He shook his head pulling a face "Hah, I did practice and then the professor felt we all had the spell down pretty well and went down to the lake where I still couldn't do the spell." Pfft, stupid spell. Who needed the gravity charm....there was enough of it on the planet wasn't there? He pulled another face "It's better to do it later, when you can't sleep." he said shaking his head. Err, that's what likely made him late to class....oh well.

"Well yeah. It's gotta be bad. Especially if you're bored" he said lifting an eyebrow "Can't be good ALLLL the time!" Now THAT was boring. Why always be good? His mum couldn't get him here at Hogwarts, even if the headmistress looked way too much like her!

Well, THAT was an overreaction, Evie thought. But she had to laugh at how jumpy and shrieky and protective of his hair Caleb was. She giggled when he snapped. "I didn't even pull that hard." Was he always so high strung and grumpy? Nah, she was teasing.

Evie only laughed again when Caleb told her to be more careful. ASSAULTING? Hah. DETENTION? Yeah right. Evie walked around the bench he was sitting on. "Good thing we're friends, then." Because friends didn't give friends detention. "But you can't even authorize detention anyway." Which he probably knew by now, but his threats didn't worry her one bit. And she hardly thought a staff member would give her detention for pulling someone's hair.

She sat down on the bench and crossed her legs. Why was she pulling his hair? "Why do you think?" She wasn't MEAN, so there was really only one reason. Even if he didn't read the aparecium, he had to have heard about it by now.

When Lux suddenly felt a thud under the bench she was sitting on immediately followed by an 'Oww!' her book fell too the ground. "Are you alright down there?" With slight concern, she looked down at the boy and noticed a toad hop away.

"Is that your pet?" Or was its appearance a mere coincidence? Honestly she had no idea why else a boy would be hanging out under a bench, but some pretty strange things happened at Hogwarts so one could never be too sure. Hopefully the boy was okay and wouldn't need to see the Healer, but she'd take him there if it was really needed.

"Sure thing! She's always around. Maybe you guys can partner up for homework and classes.'' It was a good way to make friends... and also a bad one if you ended up doing the required activity incorrectly or did a spell wrong on said partner. Hehe. Ohh, James knew what the kraken was! "Exactly like that thingy from Pirates of the Caribbean.'' Adi was already noting that James had knowledge of muggle stuff. "Are you half blood?'' he asked curiously. And as for Bart... ''Yep! That's his name.''

"You should never give up on your spell work,'' the older Puffer replied with a wink. But starting small was a good place to start. "I think your mother would be right.'' Thinking back, he had also received the same advice a couple of times when he was James's age. He watched the boy give the spell a shot on a few drops... annnnd HE DID IT! "Awesome job, James!'' Give him a high five, little dude! Adi was proud, man. His badger was advancing in magic. Hehe.

Adi flopped himself back down of the fountain's edge as James began sorting the cards. "You look like a kid on Christmas day,'' he mused out loud, a hint of amusement in his voice. Gosh, this was better than throwing the cards out. Now he knew why he kept all of them for such a long time... they were for James and Henric. "Alrightey. I'll get more for you as soon as I can I can owl home and ask my mom to send the rest for me. Also, you're welcome, you're welcome.''

Torie? Adi looked in the direction James was pointing. Oh yeah! Adi remembered him from the feast and of course he had seen him around lots afterward. "Trouble? Do you mean he likes pranks and stuff?'' As in Torie was mischievous? The prefect's eyes were on youuuu, Torie!

Noel grinned at her response and then added with a wink: "I am pretty sure it's not only me who wants to know" Noel was very sure that Maggie had admirers. She just had that thing about her .....

He had thought she wouldn't say more but when she did, Noel rose a brow, "oh you are, are you?" he grinned. "Who are the lucky candidates?"

And then she asked THAT question.

One name came to mind - one that not only could ruffle his hair but ... ruffle pretty much everything. But ... he only smiled, and said: "Well, there is you"
