OOC: Before posting in this thread, you must first have been called back by Healer Murdoch. To be seen by the Healer, please post in the Check-in Area for Patients first, then in the Waiting Room for Patients and Visitors.

Upon entering the Hospital Ward and Healing Area, you'll come upon a long hallway that eventually forks into two different directions. You'll want to proceed to the right, the direction that will take you to the Healing Areas. Healer Murdoch will be waiting for you. It is in the Healing Area that you'll receive the medical attention that will hopefully heal you right away and send you back to classes and your everyday life.

If, however, you aren't able to be healed right away and your character is in a rather serious condition, you will be escorted to the Observation Ward, where you will receive further medical attention.

OOC: Once your character is seen and tended to, Healer Murdoch will deem them "well" and able to return to classes/everyday life. If your character continues to suffer from repeat conditions, it's likely that he or she will be admitted into the Room for Quarantined Patients. If this happens, you will be temporarily placed in the "Quarantined" user group, and your posting in the school will be temporarily limited to the "Quarantined" thread only.

I will lock these threads once a session is finished. When a new session, and a new student is assigned to the room, the thread will be reopened.

BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE?!

Crawling on all fours into the room, the astronomer used a chair to stand up and then stumbled over towards the bed. Remembering to clutch his finger once more, he slipped his shoes off and promptly lay down on the bed while casting a forlorn glance towards Cecelia.

Alright. Just chop it off. Let's get it over with.

Watching the astronut crawl on all fours, Healer Murdoch was tempted to put a collar and leash on him just so she could drag him back to the healing area. Instead she let him make a fool of himself and gave him no help at all.

Once the nut finally made it to the bed, Cece examined the finger that was causing all this dramatic behavior. That is after she put on gloves, a face mask and a gown. You know, so she wouldn't be contaminated by the crazy that was known as Airey Flamsteed. Plus she really wanted to watch the man squirm.

Holding his finger in her hand she sighed dramatically. "I don't think I'm going to be able to save it Flamsteed. There's just no hope left for it. It's going to have to go." Of course she had been talking about that pathetic piece of parchment he had been holding on his finger, but she wasn't going to tell him that just yet. Let him come to his own conclusion about what she meant.

The astronut watched in complete and utter HORROR as Cecelia prepared herself to handle him. "You didn't need to dress up for me," he said, cracking a feeble joke. Its sole purpose to make himself feel a little more at ease. If only that ease had lasted more than three seconds.

"What? WHAT?!" he asked rhetorically when she sighed.

HE KNEW IT! KNEW IT!

Had he not called it earlier? That it was going to have to be chopped? His poor finger. He prided himself on his adaptability, so he would learn how to hold his wand, quill, astronomical instruments, and everything in between with four fingers on his right hand instead of five. At least it hadn't been his thumb and, well, if push came to shove, he could always transition over to using his left hand.

"Fare thee well, index finger," he lamented, offering his fallen companion a salute with his left hand. "You served me well..."

He looked feebly up at Cecelia now and swallowed hard.

Cece had an evil grin on her face as she reached into her pocket. Of course she was only going to pull out something to clean Flamsteed's finger. "Oh I didn't get dressed like this for you Flamsteed. I did this for me. There's no telling what kind of diseases you may have gotten from that rodent that bit you and I'm not taking any chances. I don't want to end up like you." A total nutter who thought he was going to die from a bite that just barely broke the skin.

This was a domesticated rat bite right?

"Now you may want to close your eyes for this. It might hurt a little less if you don't see what I"m doing." She slowly started to pull her hand out of her pocket.

Maybe she should give him something to knock him out first.

Well, that attempt at humor had been futile. The astronomer died a little inside as Cecelia was all business - as usual - and resonating a persona that could only be compared to a dementor.

"That rodent belong to one of YOUR students, by the way," he retorted with a noticeable huff and snort. "I thought you had a house meeting about behavioral issues." Rhetorical, he knew about the meeting...AND HOW OBVIOUSLY ONE OF CECELIA'S SNAKES FELT SHE WAS ABOVE THE RULES AND BROUGHT A RODENT OF DOOM TO HIS LESSON AS AN ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT!

Wait....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait! WAIT!

Sitting up suddenly and retracting his hand from the Healer's grasp as if the woman were an actual poisonious snake ready to strike, his eyes narrowed and gave the woman a proper stink eye. "You....you totally put Miss Jones up to this! Didn't you?! Revenge for making you look like Princess Bubblegum Gum Drop at the opening feast! HOW FIENDISH!"

RABIES INFESTED FINGER BEING POINTED AT YOU NOW, CECELIA!

Cece grabbed the man's injured finger as he made his little comment about the meeting she had with her snakes. "Oh, we did have a meeting Flamsteed. Unfortunately I forgot to invite all the pets to the meeting." Meaning there was no way that poor little rat knew he shouldn't bite anyone.

She let go of the finger as Flamsteed pulled it away from her, Cece gave him a look when he ACCUSED HER of putting Miss Jones and her rat up to this. "Do you REALLY want to accuse ME of such a thing Flamsteed," she asked as she pulled her wand out and pointed it at him. "Have you so quickly forgotten that I am the one who holds the ~~wand~~ key to your healing?"

She stepped back from him. "If you prefer, I can just send you on your way now. Let that bite do its worst to you without any treatment." Because she would gladly send him on his way to let that little scratch heal without giving him a PRINCESS band-aid.

Now, was he ready to act like a grown man, or was he going to sit there and continue acting like a three year old prat?

Was that Cecelia's pathetic attempt at humor and sass?BECAUSE IT WAS NOT APPRECIATED. His eyes only narrowed more.

"I believe I just DID, Cecelia," he replied. IF THAT WAS EVEN HER REAL NAME! "How do I know that you are not just using the whole rat thing as a ploy to make this look like a medical accident?" Hmmmm? HMMMMMM?

STARE.

STARE.

Slowly pulling his arm away from his chest, he reluctantly offered it back to the Healer with a pout reminiscent to that of a toddler not getting his way.

For a professor, Flamsteed wasn't a very smart man was he. "You caught me Flamsteed. My mission is to make your life miserable. I'll stop at nothing to make sure you pay for that little stunt you pulled at the opening feast." Is that what he wanted to hear? Was that going to make him feel better? "Now man up and give me your hand back before I really do kick you out of here."

Being none to gentle, the healer grabbed the man's finger then cleaned it with a disinfecting wipe. She then slapped on a pretty pink Hello Kitty bandaid. If he was going to act like a little girl, he was going to be treated like one. "You'll need to keep that bandage on for at least a week, just to make sure that finger doesn't get infected and fall off." Truth was, he didn't even need a bandaid but she wasn't going to let him know that. "You're free to go," she said as she cleaned up the area.

"Oh, and if I were you, I'd watch my back. You never know what might jump out at you."

Woozy. Woooooooooozy. Airey could feel his eyes roll back in his head and he nearly fainted when "YEEEEEEEEEOUCH!" he whined as the wipe flew over his finger. It may as well have been a piece of sandpaper with how gentle the Healer was being with him right now. Before he could protest further - and inform her that he would be charging her with malpractice...or something - a band aid had been slapped onto his finger.

One with a FELINE on it.

A FELINE PARADING AROUND AS A HUMAN. THE HORROR!

"NOOOOOOOOOOPE!" he barked, his fingers tearing at the band aid to try and remove it. "Nope nope nope nope. Don't you have anything with those mutant turtles on them? I'll even take that mouse with the oversize yellow shoes...or the duck that doesn't wear pants."

JUST NOT THIS MONSTROSITY!

"Stop acting like a baby Flamsteed. You make it sound like I'm killing you instead of just putting a band-aid on your finger." If this is how the grown man acted over a little scratch, she would hate to see what he acted like if he was really injured.

And now he was trying to tear the band-aid off! The fool could at least wait until he was out of her sight before doing that. "If I had a different band-aid don't you think I would have given it to you?" She asked as she slapped the hand that was tearing at the bandage. Yes, she slapped his hand. What was he going to do about it? Cry?

"Tear that bandage off and you will NOT get another from me. Then what will you do when your finger gets all infected and has to be cut off?" Yep, she was being over dramatic here, but so was he.

THE BIG BABY!

Inhaling sharply, the Astronomy professor's eyes went all wide which shock at the CONFESSION he had heard just now. Call it selective hearing if you will - because that was precisely what it was - but the man rolled himself right off the bed and onto the cold floor.

Recovering not-so-gracefully, he scrambled back on to the bed with his sore bum and continued to try and remove the band aid. "No, actually, I don't think you would offer me another one," he grumbled at the assassin in disguise. Muttering a few inaudible words under his breath, he threw his arms down to his sides and wiggled in place in pure adult tantrum mode. "Fiiiiiiiiiiine. But I am NOT happy about it."

Had to make sure that that was entirely clear.

"Will that be all?"

Could he leave now and go wallow in his misery?
