It is 8 am, the air is cool and crisp, birds are chirping and the sun is on it's way up by now if it's not raining out, so naturally you know that you should be in or on your way to transfiguration class by now.
Once you enter the classroom, you see that instead of the perfectly polished and straight desk are chairs, there are work stools and mannequins. To the side of the classroom are boxes with assortments of fabrics and materials usually used in dress making. No not touch, in fact, do nothing until professor Bellaire instructs you.
Professor Bellaire is at the front of the classroom, awaiting your arrival.

OH. The class was ready, and his BIG MOMENT had arrived.
Without further ado, Toby went to the box with a skip in his step and chose a piece of the rag cloth as instructed, singing along the whole time, as that was totally part of the spell after all...
"Salagadoola mechicka boola..." He chose a blue rag thing, nice and bright so everyone could see it. "... Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo... put 'em together..." Lalala, skipping back to Professor Bellaire and Toby, with a huuuuuge beaming grin on this face 'cause THIS WAS FUN, YO- "... and what have you got?" -and he draped the blue cloth over her. Then Toby stepped back, bouncy bounce, and off to the side a little so he wasn't blocking anyone's view, before raising his wand and... "Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!"
Nothing... really... happened. The fabric just sort of... fluttered, as though hit by a light breeze, but nothing else. Had this been what Bellaire had meant by proving that the cartoon had been 'absolute garbage'? Or had he done something wrong? Whatever it was, Toby's grin didn't falter at all as he lowered his wand again and waited for the verdict from Bellaire.
Sophia waited and watched carefully as Toby did his spell, she even helped by doing a little spin to perhaps encourage the magic along. Of course didn't expect it to work but that was not the point of her lesson.
"Thank you Mr. Tempus, five points. But I am going to need your assistance for a little bit longer." She took the same rags off herself and placed it on Toby but clearly saying Summus Vestis and doing a backward Z movement with her wand. The rags turned into an equally raggedy Vest on the boy.
Was it starting to make sense to them now?
"Just like you are unable to magic food and money....and yes.. a lot of nice things that your friends might have...it is just the same with clothes. That is why witches are wizards still buy clothes and still wear rags." Rules...laws of balance.
"Thank you Mr. Tempus..you may take your seat." She moved back to the board and began writing.
"Not everyone has an eye for fashion and not everyone here will be great at this but I do expect each and everyone of you to try because you will be awarded final grades based on what you create." She continued writing on the board.
"Now you can choose to work with a partner or you can work on your own to create whatever tasteful artwork your mind can dream up...and when I say whatever I mean..you can choose to create men's wear or a female dress....whatever style. Do bare in mind that you will be wearing/modeling what you create as well."
She continued listing spells on the board.
"Any questions before we move on?"

Looking for a partner

This was awesome! They were going to get to make their own clothes, how fun was that? She wasn't to keen on modeling whatever she happened to design and create but that was a problem for later on. Right now she needed to decide on if she wanted to work alone or with a partner.
Hmm. That was actually a tough choice. Working with someone and combining ideas into something great would probably be the most fun though. Hady sat up straight on her seat and looked around to see if anyone might want to work together. If not she'd just come up with something of her own.
Hopefully whoever she might work with would have the same taste as she did. She wasn't very picky really but things had to match of course and be comfortable.

Aaaahhh. Modelling? Adi suddenly had a vision of himself tripping over his feet as the showed off his outfit. Eeep! Modelling was definitely going to make things a lot worse. Why? Because Adi knew nothing about fashion in the first place. But then again, all that really mattered was him being comfortable, right? His outfit should scream his name.
Hmmm.
Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. Alrightey then. Time to get started.
Angel decided that the best thing for her to do would be to work on her own... she was very creative when it came to fashion and she didn't think it would be fair to make someone else follow her rules because she had to have everything perfect otherwise the whole thing would just go in the bin, she saw Adi and Benny and her sister and wondered what they thought of this whole modelling business they were going to do.

Modeling? For real? See, she knew as soon as she saw the mannequins that she wasn't going to like this lesson one bit. UGH! Should she partner with Angel and make her do everything? NO! She was way too bossy and AJ was not going to put up with her perfectionist ways.
The only thing that AJ knew for sure was that she wasn't going to wear heels or anything girly. That wasn't going to happen. Guy outfit for her please. And some black converse shoes, please. She would model the heck out of that. No questions for her. Could they get this over with already?
Would anyone like to work with a fashion challenged teenage boy?

Ian watched as the 'spell' did as the professor expected and nothing was accomplished. It was however entertaining watching Bellaire add a flourish with the spin. She mentioned that they would be making their own clothes after fashioning a raggedy vest for Tobias. It was a good look. Ian might be interested in borrowing that particular item.
He glanced around, looking to see if anyone would be willing to take him on as a partner. Whether he was alone or with someone, he expected an equally disastrous result. He did hope for some yellow fabric items though.
Wait so they were going to be modeling their clothes? Kace didn't know how he felt about that. They could either work with a partner or by themselves. Usually it was more fun to work with someone and see what their fashion senses were. The professor wanted to know if they had any questions. Kace didn't really have any. He did think Toby did perform really well. He applauded his fellow puff.
He looked around and saw if anyone wanted to be his partner.

"Kace....you want to make Shakesperean clothing with me? Act like we are from the Medieval times?" She grinned laughing slightly.

More points being awarded. Always points. Maddie wished something a little more valuable would be given away for helping and generally excelling in class. Something like a one-on-one lesson with a professor or an approved trip to the forbidden section of the library. Those were things Maddie would work particularly hard for. Those were things that could help. Points were just that, points. Meaningless after the term ended. Why not give Tobias a hundred points? It HAD been quite the performance.
Looking around the room when Bellaire mentioned partners, the thirteen year old tried to figure out the people she DIDN'T want to work with. That was the best way to narrow it down, yes? Also, "No questions here, Professor."
Modeling? Norah rubbed her eyes again. Why were they modeling in Transfiguration? She tried to ignore the fact that she had no idea how she had gotten here, and concentrated instead on finding a partner. Somebody who could explain what was going on, maybe. That'd be helpful. Uh huh. And fashion? How 'bout no.

The only part of that demonstration that made any sort of sense to Brooklyn was the part when Professor Bellaire had cast the spell and made the raggedy vest. She could have told everyone that the stupid song from Cinderella wouldn’t actually make a dress out of rags. Honestly, she didn’t know why anyone would want to make anything out of rags in the first place. She’d much rather wear actual nice clothes. Which meant she had a task set for her, as they were then told that they would be creating their own outfits. She guessed out of the stuff that was in the boxes that were spread out everywhere, along with the mannequins.
As they’d been released to look for partners or decide to go it alone, she’d glanced next to her to see Hady looking around. “Psst, Hady. I’ll be your partner,” she whispered. They were already next to each other, and they knew each other. She knew that meant they’d create something awesome. Except it also made her wonder how the modeling thing would work. Would they have to create two outfits or only one and they’d pick who wore it.

Okay, so he hadn't done anything wrong, that was good. Toby grinned his thanks at the professor when she awarded him those points, and then stood by as Bellaire proceeded to move the rags onto HIM and cast a proper spell. No singing or skipping or spinning this time though, but that was much more like the spells they learnt here after all.
And heeeyyyyy, that was a, errr... nice vest. Well, a little raggedy, as the professor explained, but still kinda nifty.
"Happy to help, Professor," the Hufflepuff replied when she told him to go back and sit down, and went back to perch on his stool by the window, before watching Bellaire write on the board. This sounded like it would be a nifty activity, and Toby was already planning what he wanted to try and model at the end of the lesson.
But nope. No questions here that he could think of.

Zeke made note of the incantation and the wand movement while he remembered it. Thinking things using words was hard, but he was a visual learner, which is why the fact that she DEMONSTRATED it, he remembered it fairly well. And by fairly well, he meant REALLY well.
The whole next part of what she was saying had him groaning internally though. They were going to wear rags? ... They were going to MODEL rags?
CREATIVE THINGS WAS NOT HIS THING... his thing was... ... well actually, he didn't know what his thing was, but it wasn't dresses and vests and stuff. Nope.
Zeke gravitated over to Ian, wondering if he'd be any good with this stuff.

Toby. Hehe. Kyroh held back and giggle and covered his mouth. He knew he would make a good fairy godfather, mostly because he had excellent judge of character. And also because Toby was the best.
Focusing back on Bellaire the boy nodded. So they were going to make their own clothes!? That was cool! OH and questions!? He had ONE of course. Reaching for a piece of parchment he quickly scribbled something down before raising it up in the air.

Am I allowed to talk now?
The woman had told him not to after all. And if he was going to work with someone and do a spell he needed his mouth.

Okay, so, they're all technically going to be fairy godmothers or godfathers regardless of whether the book that turned you into a fairytale character was around or not. This is something only Bellaire would make them do.
Making the clothes and then modeling.
Was Lotus going to be doing the modeling? She didn't actually feel like it, soooo... perhaps a partner was needed. Perhaps. Or maybe it was best to get it over with. Who knows. Where was her bestie? Would she wear a dress for this? Or did she have to find some other victim? Could it be Bellaire herself?
Cinna decided to just not say anything else until it was time to get a partner or do the activity. She would just she want she added to say. She was just still so upset about it. She may never wave at or hug anyone ever again after that. Yeah, right! She really didn't care. She had came in happy and positive. And was going to be all nice and stuff. But not anymore. Nope. Nope.
So speaking of getting a partner the fourth year looked around for a partner.

No surprise that Toby had done the spell wrong. It wasn't even a proper spell to begin with. Weren't they supposed to be Latin anyhow?
No matter, because it was activity time! Smiling, Lux looked around as people got to work though she could see that Cinna didn't seem pleased. Uh oh. Probably had to do with Professor Bellaire being mean to her earlier. In her opinion the woman needed a good blast with the Cheering Charm. Feeling bad, she put her arm around her best friend. "Come on, let's work together." Hopefully that would cheer Cinna up.

Zander wasn't really sure as to where Bellaire was going with the whole, demonstration... But then after her short little explanation, everything sort of made sense! Yet, it was kind of weird that she chose a Disney film of all things, since everyone had been taking Disney roles around the castle lately. But Zander didn't actually totally make the connection between the two, so meh. It was whatever. Anyways, the making a dress thing sounded kind of neat, but he didn't want to do that alone because creativity wasn't his strong suit-- what was his strong suit? Actually, no. He needed a partner.
Right.
Anyways, the Gryffindor looked around the classroom to try to spot someone else in need, and smiled when he spotted Kryoh. The fourth year slowly walked up to him and grinned. "You wanna be partners and make a superhero costume?" That'd be TOTALLY cool. Right?

Ian had his eyes on the professor, waiting to see if anyone would have any questions. He hoped not, because he really wanted to go back to his dorm and get out of these ridiculous short pants . As he was looking again in horror at the pants, he looked up to see Zeke asking if he wanted to partner up. Ian said with much relief, Yes. This will be brilliant. And, not all girly.

They were already next to each other, and they knew each other. She knew that meant they’d create something awesome. Except it also made her wonder how the modeling thing would work. Would they have to create two outfits or only one and they’d pick who wore it.
At the sound of Brooklyn's voice Hady turned towards her friend and fellow dorm mate. "Great." She whispered the reply with a quick nod of her head. Working with Brooklyn would be fun. They were both around the same height, girls, first years and in the same house. All that right there made this partnership much easier.
The only thing was who was going to model whatever they made? Hopefully it wouldn't be here. Maybe they'd have enough time to make two outfits or something and they could do the modeling together. That could prove to be rather interesting.
With her partner chosen all Hady had to do now was wait for further instructions from the Professor.
Puck glanced over to Kace and grinned over to him. “I need one Kace” she grinned over to her friend and walked over to him. “So you want me to pose first?” She asked as she smiled over to him and chuckled. “Cause I can be a great model” she laughed and grinned at him. "Kace....you want to make Shakesperean clothing with me? Act like we are from the Medieval times?" She grinned laughing slightly.
As Kace was looking for a partner he noticed Puck called him over. He smiled to his best friend. "Awesome! I will be honored to be your partner.." And to answer to her question he shrugged, "It is up to you, I don't care who goes first.." he told her to be nice. But he did prefer for her to go first. Aahh so she can be a great model eh? Well let's see about that. Ooooh? Shakespearean clothes? He chuckled and nodded. "Sure that sounds ridiculously funny.." he whispered and then looked at Bellaire for more instructions.
Modeling? Norah rubbed her eyes again. Why were they modeling in Transfiguration? Eden watched the...weird spectacle at the front of the class. Well. That was..interesting. She raised an eyebrow at Professor Bellaire but didn't say anything. So they were...making clothes. All right. Eden had NO faith in her abilities whatsoever, so she just...glanced around quickly--she needed a partner. Emotional support--maybe even like, ACTUAL support, since Eden's magic was flaky when she was nervous.
THEY HAD TO MODEL? No. Eden refused. Too self conscious for that. She did NOT want to stand in front of the class and do that..just..no.
DID PROFESSOR BELLAIRE HAVE FEELINGS?
As her blue eyes scanned the room--wide and FEARFUL, now, too--she spotted a younger Hufflepuff who seemed to be partnerless. Eden smiled at the girl and tried to get her attention. "Ahem--hi there--I'm Eden--want to be partners?" she asked softly, tilting her head a little...like saying...PLEAASE PLEASE?

Cinna kept looking around for someone to partner up with. No one well she would be glad to partner up with herself. Yep, she could do it all on her own. She was in a mood that she was better off working alone. You know, wouldn't want to confuse learning with Socializing. To be honest the lesson had lighten her mood some. So that was good.
She felt a arm come from around her. She tilted her head to see that it was Lux. She whispered, "Yes, I think that, that sounds good." As long as they didn't socialize too much.

Blink.
Ethan just blinked at Toby's performance, and he was tempted to do a slow clap for the older kid. Bobbity-bob...huh? The prefect bit his lip and pondered at how pointless muggle fairy tales are. See? It's not even magic. Just a bunch of nonsense words created by a creative muggle.
Now...now he gets why his mother would often go on a shopping spree with her sister most of the time. They'd often go abroad and pick the latest style of clothing...and he would often tag along and wait countless hours for them with his cousin. At least Mordred was there to accompany him. He could swear that the older Mordaunt was bored as hell too.
Now...the challenge. Ethan need not to look around because he was sitting close to GrayGray. The boy quickly gave him a nudge...partners?
