Stepping into the arena, you are immediately enveloped with the light shining into the room, either morning or evening depending on what time you decide to enter. If you can tear your gaze away from the intricately designed windows and high ceilings could, you can see to the very right of the room, there is the long platform in which supervised duels will take place while four benches on either side are placed at a safe distance for those who would like to sit and watch. Just ahead of the platform in the right corner, there is a door, though pay no attention to it. It's locked for a reason.
Towards the back wall, there are various types of practice dummies, both stationary and moving, depending on what difficulty the practicer wants. Don't be afraid to go all out with your spells, for these dummies are charmed to repair themselves. There is one practice dummy set aside that will shoot spells back to the practicer, however, permission from a Professor is required to use it. To the left side of the arena are two sets of stands, eight seats high, that look out to the entire arena, comfortable for those who would just like to watch what's going on all around or for general purposes such as studying or relaxing after a long day in the arena.
The middle of the room is quite empty, due to the fact that the defense Professor enjoys presenting lessons in here, but please, despite the brilliant light that shines through the arena due to the large windows, it is not some place to sunbathe or fall asleep. You will be levitated out with a good dose of cold water splashed on you if caught.

Benny was trying to stay upright, was struggling to stay up on his feet but it was far from easy. And he could hear Adi's reaction to it. The laughter in amongst the coughing that he had a vague thought that he might have been partly responsible for. Okay, so he probably looked funny, and he had laughed when his bestie had the similar dancing spell successfully cast on him earlier.
Focused on keeping himself from falling, the Gryffindor wasn't protecting himself. So when he eventually had his feet slip out from under him with his wobbly legs not far behind, he was open to the next spell aimed his way. And when his backside hit the floor of the dueling arena his head was a bit heavier. No longer occupied by his precarious stance, Ben swallowed and tentatively reached his hands up to confirm what the spell had done.
Yep...no longer a dragon...but a stag.
"Melofors," he cast in return with a point directly at Adi. Take that.
Okay, Benny falling over coupled with the pair of antlers on his head were enough to send Adi off in another round of laughter. Merlin! How much funnier could that get? Benny sure wasn't a dragon anymore.
But...
Uh oh.
Another spell coming his way. Adi raised his wand, ready to cast the Shield Charm but he was too late. Orange light came shooting towards him. The next thing Adi realised was that the light around him was fading as a pumpkin shell encased his head bringing him into total darkness.
Greaaaaat. He had became a human Jack-O-Lantern.
"Uhhh, Benny?" Eeeep! His voice sounded so loud when he spoke as it resounded in the shell. "I can't see a single thing!'' Adi began to blindly stumble towards the Gryffindor, his hands held out in front of him. "Do you think I'll suffocate in here?'' he wondered aloud, still stumbling around. He hoped he was going in the right direc- woops.
"WOAH!''
Adi suddenly found himself on the floor, flat on his stomach having tripped over Benny's feet. "Mind where you're sticking those big feet, antler boy.'' The moment the words were out of his mouth, he wished he could take it back. Sometimes Benny did not appreciate his jokes. ''Sorry, sorry. Forget I said that.''
Adi boosted himself to sit cross legged on the floor. "Guess the duel's a draw, huh?'' It was probably the most fun one he had ever took part in. Now all he had to do was to wait for this ridiculous pumpkin shell to fall away from his head. Or could he break it off? Hmmm...

There was more laughter from Adi until it was cut off. A look in his direction made it very clear why that had happened. It had WORKED! It really had. Benny had picked the spell randomly and hadn't even been sure he remembered everything right from what he had read about it in passing. Yet there was his best friend with a pumpkin surrounding him. At least the portion above his neck making him look like the headless horseman.
"Yeah...?" he responded back when Adi called to him. Hearing the conditions described, the Gryffindor almost regretted his actions. "Finite," he cast on his feet and legs so he could move properly and was about to go to help his friend when Adi joined him on the floor after tripping over him in the darkness that was his current vision level. "Funny...I think the antlers would be more dangerous." The remark hopefully making his friend know the apology wasn't necessary.
All in good fun...right?
"I think so..." he agreed before seeing his friend shruggle with pumpkin encasing his head. He tried to think on just what was given on how to get rid of the spell's effects, only one coming to mind...breaking it. "Hold still," Benny instructed as he moved closer to the Hufflepuff, awkwardly careful of where his head, and this the antlers, went. "Diffindo," he cast tentatively across the pumpkin skin but away from Adi in hopes it sliced enough off the be thin enough to break.

Sitting on the floor, sitting on the floor with nothing better to do. Adi supposed being a human Jack-O-Lantern wouldn't have been so bad if he could have actually seen out of the pumpkin shell.
"Only if you have plans to impale me,'' Adi replied in a serious tone. But he was really kidding...he just wasn't saying it in his usual tone. He also wanted to add that the antlers suited Benny quite well but he sealed his lips.
Hold still? Uhh, okay. Adi stopped bobbing his left knee as he waited on Benny. Oh. The Severing Charm. Brilliant! He reached up after the spell was cast and carefully punched at the shell. Some of it fell inside, towards him but he was able to see out of the shell at least. "Hi,'' he said, eyeing Benny through the single hole before proceeding to break away the rest.
Annnnd he was outta there! Adi was a tad sweaty and some of his hair was plastered against his forehead but he was no longer Jack-O-Lantern dude. "Good duel,'' he said to Benny. Indeed it had been.

"Not planning to." That was why Benny was doing his best to avoid moving his head when he could help it. No random swings that in turn caused the antlers, currently attached to his head, to make dangerous moves towards eithe of them and their various body parts. Thankfully Adi didn't question his random instruction to hold still and his severing charm seemed to work halfway decently against the pumpkin's shell.
"Hi..." he echoed as he sat back, letting his friend handle the rest of his own escape. "Finite," he cast to free himself from the spell that made his legs wobbly before since Benny didn't need to focus his attention on defending himself anymore. It wasn't long before Adi was free again, the Hufflepuff back to his normal self...for the most part. But then he supposed they both looked a little worn and sweaty from the duel.
"Yeah it was," he agreed, offering a hand to his bestie for a friendly shake. That and he might need assistance in getting up with his new head gear.
