Charms 1 As you walk into the charms classroom, you will see the room as it normally is. Straight rows of desks and chairs, all facing the front of the room where there is the chalkboard and the professor’s desk to the left of it. Your Charms professor, Professor Fuller, is leaning against his desk with his arms crossed over his chest, waiting for you to enter and take a seat. OOC: Be sure to read the rules before posting in this class. Class Progression: 1. Welcome to class. Warm up Question. 2. Responses and another question. 3. Introducing the charm. Practical instructions. |
Maddie liked charms well enough and the brunette wasn't exactly in a BAD mood as she entered the classroom. It helped that Professor Fuller was aesthetically pleasing. The brunette found herself smiling for whatever reason when she spotted him and she ignored the weird feeling in her tummy as she headed towards a desk in the middle of the room. Only once she was settled did she chance a glance up at the man and wave. "Hi, Professor." She was just going to sketch his face while she waited for class to start, okay? No biggy. |
Eden wondered what Charms would be like. She was horrible at the magic stuff--well, anything involving a wand. She got nervous. And her wand LOVED to shoot up sparks when she was nervous. Thanks, wand. She was here a little early. Well then. "Hello, Professor--" why were all the professors at Hogwarts super cute? Well, NOT ALL OF THEM. Professor Walton, and now THIS one--she just sat down and siiiiighed. Boys her own age never looked like that. It was such a pity. A few boys did come close, though. No one was here. Well, not anyone she was friends with. So she just tried not to blush too much OR speak too loudly. This class had Eden VERY nervous. Would her wand behave? Would SHE behave--as in, just have self some CONFIDENCE in herself?! PFFT. This was her mother's fault. She blamed her mother. EVeryone else in her family did, so she would TOO. Thanks, Mam. She spotted Maddie, who was also here, and waved. "Hi. Maddie--" the girl was so SMART. Eden wanted to be like Maddie...even if the girl was younger. She was still wise. |
It was time for Charms. Hady vaguely wondered if this would be a difficult class or not. There was only one sure fire way to find out. Entering the room she took a deep breath and let it out slowly and quietly. So far there wasn't very many people in the room. That was alright with her though it meant she could get a seat up front where she would be able to see. The first year choose a seat right up front and made her way to it. "Hello Professor." She greeted him warmly with a gentle smile as she slid into her seat. Shifting through her bag she took out some parchment and a quill to start with, if she needed anything else then she'd take that out too. |
Charms class was today! Connor found charms to be interesting, well to be honest he found all his studies to be interesting. Punctual as usual he stepped into the classroom and greeted the Professor with a smile while he found a seat. "Hello, Professor Fuller." He greeted the Charms Professor as he took his seat, not too close to the front or not too far in the back. But he was hopeful about this class, it would be a good one right? Divination freaked him out, Crystal balls and all that.. So he figured Charms would be simpler, maybe even fun? He did love to learn and maybe he'd get to sit next to his friends, or maybe make a new one. But now was time to wait.. he cleaned his glasses as he did so. Hmm. But with his glasses back on he spotted one! Eden. He got up and moved closer to her, mmhmm. They seemed to find each other most classes. "Hey.." He said through a smile toward her. |
Charms. A subject at which Adi did fairly well in. It was no Care of Magical Creatures but he did manage to get by. The fourth year stepped into the very much familiar classroom. It seemed nothing had changed. And there was the Professor. "Hello, Professor,'' Adi said cheerfully. "Hope all's well with you.'' Greetings out of the way, he waved at the few students already gathered as he settled down in a seat. |
Ew. Girls. The worst thing about coming early to a lesson was possibly being alone in a room with the teacher...and just girls. Gabriel was facing this very problem at the moment; two of which were in his House...as he'd seen them around the common room. When he wasn't in hiding. That was important to point out. ...And a Gryffindor boy he didn't care to know for reasons. Important reasons......Clara reasons. ...and a Badged person. Making a particular FACE, Gabriel quickly decided he was just going to sit as close to the professor he possibly could. For now. SPOILER!!: Charms notebook! "........" He'd been meaning to greet the man...but nerves. Staying silent it was, then. |
Charms. It was an okay subject. Chance wasn't brilliant in it but he knew his way around the subject. Entering the class, Chance shuffled to a desk and laid his head down on it. He was tired, cranky, and impossible at this moment. Terrible things had happened today and he was in no mood to be his usually happy go-lucky self. He looked up at the Professor to see if class had started. It hadn't. He nodded to the professor, a ghost of a smile playing on his lips. He didnt want to be rude to the professor. They hadn't done anything. Looking back down at his desk, he would wait until the Professor started speaking. Then he would be a good little student and do what he was told. Until then, his head was going to be on his desk. And that was that. |
Jasmine arrived for Charms class fairly early. Entering the classroom and looked around. Seeing Professor Fuller at his desk, she said, "Hello Professor". She then addressed her classmates. "Hello everyone". Jasmine found an empty desk and sat down. She put her bag on the floor and leaned over to take out her supplies. Time to wait..... hopefully not for long. |
Despite sleeping for the majority of the last week and a half, Toby still felt exhausted. And kind of achey too, but that always happened after he did the whole crawlspacing thing. He just put it all down to the process of getting back his usual bounce and ~went with it~. Upon reaching the Charms classroom, Toby was glad to find that his usual seat, at the side of the room by one of the windows, was still free, and he moved towards it as quickly as his tired self could handle. Once there, he took a seat and got out all his note-taking thingies, ready to... y'know... do this learning stuff. The Hufflepuff yawned, and quickly covered his mouth with the back of his hand; okay body, we're sitting down now, chill. But he was forgetting something... what was he for- OH. "Hey sir," the Hufflepuff looked up to the front of the room and finally greeted Professor Fuller, suddenly smiling as he turned his yawnin' hand into a wavin' hand. 'SUP. LET'S LEARN. All that done, Toby leaned back in his chair and |
Charms, yo. With his hands in his pockets, his bag swinging from his side and his swagger turned up to the highest notch, Grayson headed down the third floor corridor and towards the classroom. Dude didn't know why he felt confident in this lesson, it wasn't as if he was THAT good at Charms. Certainly not like he was at Potions. Still. Confidence. He had some of that as he readjusted his grip on his bag and strolled into the classroom. Nothing weird with the setup? Thank MERLIN. Though, he was HOPING that the current setup didn't mean that they'd be expected to sit and listen and take notes for the duration of the lesson. That was not his way of learning, thank you. "Hey, Professor!" LOL. Piersie. That was never gonna get old. Moving past that and taking note of the lack of instructions on the board -- GOOD -- Grayson headed over towards an empty seat and sat down. His writing equipment and notebook were taken out of his bag and placed onto his desk before he dropped his bag under his desk. |
It was time for Charms, and AJ was looking forward to it. She managed to do so-so in the class. The only problem she really had was the spell work. At the end of the day though, she normally managed to scrap by. Things could be different this go round considering she did have one whole year under her belt. As she walked into the room, she spotted the professor. "Hello, professor." He had helped her pick out some books on unicorns, and for that he was pretty cool. Her boyfriend was already here, so AJ walked over and took a seat by Adi. "Hey," she whispered. |
hehehe hi Gabe SQUINT. Coral-Bay poked her head into the room and gave it a quick look around, her feet soon carrying her in. She took note of her fellow house mates, even a certain Gabriel Banner, and greeted the professor with a smile and a perfect curtsey before moving further into the room. No sign of Hallie yet. Or Soph, Zander, Simon, or even Pietra. Which meant she was free to sit wherever she liked. Her eyes fell over on Gabe again, flashing him a smile and mouthing a "hi" at him before approaching. "Are you holding seats for anyone?" AKA could I sit with you, maybe? |
Angel skipped into class, she was in a totally happy mood today. "Morning Professor." Angel smiled. "It's a lovely day today isn't it." Angel couldn't wait to see what they were learning today. This was going to be an epic lesson she could tell. Angel smiled at AJ and Adi and then went and found a seat where she could sit. Once she had found one she sat down and waiting for the lesson to start. She wondered if Ben would turn up soon. |
Ian walked into the classroom, fresh from trying to find something to eat. He was feeling a little sleepy and poorly rested. He hoped he'd have the concentration to handle today's class. His concentration skills had been rubbish for the most part since the feast. Understandable, but unfortunately not very useful. As he walked in, he made a point to actually speak to the professor. G'day, professor. Having gotten the obligatory pleasantry out of the way, he looked through the room for a seat. Gazing around, he saw Adi and AJ (mental note, sit away from them). He saw the girl he'd sat near in History of Magic or DADA. He couldn't remember which and a few other students he wasn't sure of who they were. He decided to head for the back. He walked to the far wall, took the wall down toward the rear of the classroom and sat in the back corner seat, farthest from the door. In a challenging situation, he'd be the last to be able to make it from the room. Maybe not the best choice, but it was his choice. He looked through his satchel and found a bit of scrap paper and his quill. He took them out and began to doodle, while he waited for class to start. |
Time for Charms class. He actually found this class interesting and challenging at the same time. But he didn't understand why professor's needed to start classes so early. Didn't they know teens need more sleep now more than ever. He managed to get some breakfast in his system but it didn't mean he was cheery. As he got to the classroom and entered, he noticed some students beat him here. He was usually fashionably late anyways. He saw the teacher at his desk and nodded and said, "Good morning Professor Fuller." He wondered if he was tired too? But as he said his greeting, he made his way to a desk near the back of the classroom so he could hopefully try and take a nap before class begins. He put his backpack down and went onto to do some doodling or you know his backpack looked like a nice comfy pillow. He might use it. |
Oh. Gosh. SPOILER!!: This! ...............What? Having busied himself with getting materials ready, Gabriel expected to be left alone...considering he was near the professor. People usually avoided sitting too close to professors, right? So, when he heard a voice...it made little sense to him as to WHO would be willingly sitting this close....What was wrong....with.... ........ .................. Oh. Oh. No. Gabe openly gaped at her a moment...but eventually...slowly nodded. He....didn't want to be mean to her....okay? She was really nice to him...and that was perfectly normal and not at all anything to get weird about. She was just...you know...less scary than.....the other ones... Panicked. He. Was. Panicked. Why lie?! |
Walking into the room Cyprien didn't see many people whom he recognized. Of course he hadn't made any real friends yet being a first year, but there was tons of time to do that later. Cyprien knew that he was going to like charms but when he came him he decided to sit in the back. |
On her way to class, Sophie was fiddling with her things in her bag, transferring some things over from it to her pockets and vice versa. Through this process, the light caught an object she was holding and she... laughed. Abruptly and heartily. She forgot all about organizing her things and instead set to gather as much of what she just found as she could before she reached the classroom, and when she entered the room, she positively beamed and beelined straight for Fuller's desk. "Hello, professor," she greeted, her voice laden with playfulness as she set exactly six little specks of glitter right beside him on the edge of his desk. "Found these on my things. Thought I should do the right thing and return them t'you. Happy birthday." So nice of her, right? Hehehehe. As an extra incentive so he probably hopefully wouldn't get all professor-y and grumpy with her in front of everyone, she turned out both of her pockets so he could SEE that they were empty save for the chocolate frog box she set on his desk. "Also for you." As an I'm going to behave I swear peace offering. Her expression purely innocent and angelic, she caaaarefully side-stepped her way over to sit with Tobes. Heheheh. |
Charms certainly wasn't his best subject. Yet it also wasn't his worse. It was kind of somewhere in the middle of the wide array of subjects he was either required to take or took as an elective. And Benny was fine with that at the moment, walking towards the charms classroom casually yet prepared for the upcoming lesson. Stepping inside he noticed a fair bit of people already there, including the professor and all three of his friends. Guess he was late in that respect and last to arrive. "Good day, Professor Fuller," he greeted the man before moving to find an empty desk to claim. The rows of options were quickly filling up and he always prefered to be near at least one friend. Especially if they needed partners. "Hey guys," he said as he passed, finally taking a seat and setting his school bag down. |
Text Cut: Gabe! Welp....... Maybe this was a bad idea. The whole gaping thing kind of put her off, made her feel uncomfortable and strange and maybe she should just continue on like she'd said nothing or- Oh. Was that a nod? As in he was saving seats? "Oh... Well... that's okay." she forced a little smile, feeling dejected and started to move from him when she spotted her Soph. HI SOPHIE. She moved from Gabe and followed after her bestie, tickling her in the side as she caught up with her, desperately pretending she wasn't the tiniest bit sad. "Mind if I sit with you and Toby?" |
Quote:
"I'd be offended if you didn't," Soph grinned wide at her dormmate and took her hand gleefully, not at all picking up on any traces of sadness that might have been lingering in her bestie's demeanor as she walked with her the rest of the way to the empty seats by Tobes. "My two best friends." She gave a smile and a 'sup' nod to Tobes at this as her choice of greeting and veryyy casually peeked back up to the front of the room at Fuller as she took her seat. Hehehehe. Hey, professor. Hey. |
Quote:
That was his name right? Cough. "If you need help, I can teach you how to comb your hair okay?" Cool! Spotting Maddie he smiled as he slipped into the seat next to her. "Who's that?" He asked pointing to the paper. |
Dante was more interested in Charms then he was in Herbology. Though both Professor's looked like they could be models. This school had pretty/handsome Professors. It was not even funny. This Professor looked like he just wanted a nap or someone to make him angry. Both, maybe. Would he make them read a textbook for the whole class? While he does take a nap. Dante should remember that if he ever becomes a Professor. It was genius. "Sup, Professor" Dante took a seat and leaned back in it waiting. |
couldnt resist tbh Toby wasn't really paying attention to anything other than the view out the window. He knew the scene from this position pretty well by now but that didn't mean he still couldn't become distracted by it. Lalala, pretty outdoors, lalala. He was too busy staring to WATCH the Soph!glitter!sass, but was sort of listening before becoming vaguely aware of her sitting beside him. In fact, he was very happily away with the fairies and his thoughts, until he heard it. Professor Piersie. Still looking out the window, Toby burst into laughter, but VERY VERY QUICKLY forced out some coughing to cover his little giggling fit, and raised a hand to cover up his grin. COUGHCOUGHCOUGH. AHEM. COUGH. VERY INTENSE WINDOW STARING. COUGH |
Text Cut: SAME She was all sorts of content, varying between making angelic sort of innocent faces at Fuller and beaming at her best friends when she heard it, too. Professor Piersie. Unable to contain herself, Sophie SNORTED and was quick to hide her face in her arms on her desk, metaphorically rooooooooooooooolling in laughter. She heard Toby's coughs beside her and knew he couldn't help himself either - following his lead, she tried her darndest to turn the laughter into coughs and lifted her head from her desk as she did so, her face beet red from laughing so hard all at once and a lone tear escaping from her eye. Cough, cough, cough. Just coughing over here. No laughING WHATSOEVER. ...HEHEHEHEHEHEH. |
Hi, professor," Marigold said as she bounced into her second favorite class, hair in a bouncy ponytail as well. She dropped down into a chair near the front, then set up her note-taking things while watching Toby and Sophie interact and even tease Fuller like they were siblings with the professor himself. She looked down and pretended to ignore the pit in her stomach at the thought of siblings. She was going to ignore that. |
Chaaaaarms. Hayden was super excited for Charms class. She entered the classroom with a cheerful smile on her face. "Hello professor." She took a seat near the middle of the room and waited. It wouldn't be long now until it was time for class to start, right? She was ready. Very ready to learn new things in Charms, one of her favorite classes. |
Quote:
She should probably stop drawing now, yes? |
Entering the Charms classroom, Lux could see that quite a few people were already there. At least she wasn't late, because she always made a point to be on time for things; making people wait was a mean thing to do. Waving at her friends, she found her seat while wondering when Bay would arrive for class. Hopefully soon. "Hello, Professor Fuller. I hope you are well." |
It was time for Charms, and Brooklyn was excited. Her daddy was awesome at Charms, and the rest of her family wasn’t bad either, so she thought that this class should be easy. The fact that, aside from the cleaning charm in potions and a few others in classes, she hadn’t actually tried to cast any didn’t matter. It should be genetic, even though it was obvious that other skills her daddy had weren’t. She didn’t care that she was bad at Quidditch. She wanted to be good at this. She would be good at this. The fact she’d already proven she could cast one charm proved that. Walking into the classroom, she gave the professor a smile. “Good morning professor,” she said, completely ignoring the fact he seemed cross. Either way, she was going to make a good impression, since that way she could get away with more later on. She could do what she wanted. Right now, she wanted to find a good seat, and she made her way toward the chosen place and claimed it before anyone else could. This was hers, and nobody was going to take it from her. |
Norah made her way into the classroom and plunked herself down in the seat next to Marigold, saying a quick "Hello, Professor" as she passed. He didn't look too happy with his arms all crossed like that. Sigh. Classes with mad professors tended not to be the most fun. Charms was pretty fun though, once you got over the difficulty of actually executing spells. The second year pulled out her materials and laid them out on her table, nudged Mari a quick hello, and sat looking expectantly towards the front of the room. Soooo. What were they going to blow up today? |
SPOILER!!: This! So.............she....uh, wasn't sitting with him.....now? Gabriel couldn't have said what the more prominent emotion was: relief, guilt...........or disappointment. HOWEVER, he did calm down a tiny bit, feeling less dizzy and nauseous since she'd walked away....to sit with more of their housemates and the Hufflepuff boy he'd plowed into a few weeks ago. Outside the library. Much embarrassment was had. ............ Whatever. Gabe refocused on his notebook, ink, and quill; scowling for no apparent reason. |
She couldn't have been sure, but she was almost certain people were herding into yet another of those gatherings. She'd only caught the tail end of a few of them heading into this room but never being one to turn down an event, Maleficent presented herself in the room as well. Ah, someone older than 12, she could appreciate this and hurried right up to the man who she assumed would be in charge this time around. "You there! What news do you have of a red headed queen who stole my book? I've made several demands but she will not release it to me." Naturally she expected him to do something about this. Did orders need to be given? She liked to think that at least someone around this place had the initiate to do as she bid without her having to spell it out for them but so far it proved futile. The Dark Queen hoisted herself onto the lovely desk, crossed her legs and fixed him with a look. "Rerieve my book and you will be handsomly rewarded. Fail and I shall curse you so terribly even the spinning wheel will run from you." |
Tired Bay made it to his next class, thank goodness it was one of the classes he actually liked. Opening the door he spotted Professor Fuller so he said hello "hey Professor, how's your summer been?" he asked as well as he moved quickly as he spotted Lux and his other friends and went to go sit by them. |
In terms of usefulness Charms seemed like it would be the most practical in terms of every day spell work. The other subjects like herbology and Astronomy, no matter how interesting the lesson was, seemed a little pointless to the Ravenclaw who still had her heart set on doing something sporty in the future like her brother. But Charms on the whole could be beneficial and so the Blonde had a slight sense of urgency as she rushed to the classroom perhaps a little late. By the time she had entered the room had already begun to fill up and Layla weaved her way in and out the chairs to plonk herself down next to her dormmate. “Stop gawking at the Professor Eden or a fly might mistake your mouth for a dark tunnel” she smirked glancing over at the Professor. He was cute, not quite as attractive as the Herbology teacher but still aesthetically pleasing to the eye. “Morning Professor” the fifteen-year-old graced him with a greeting and a smile before turning back to her fellow Ravenclaw. And Connor who seemed to be sat with her. He received a nod and a smile in greeting too. Back to Eden. “How cliché.” And how Layla would enjoy this information. |
Zomg it was time for Charms!!! This was... all kinds of exciting, and there were nerves too. Charms, or so he had been told, was necessary for him to succeed in a number of OTHER subjects. So. Yeah. He'd have to like, do his best at it, or something. The first year Gryffindor ran a hand quickly through his fringe in an effort to fluff it OUT of his eyes, and then followed some other students into the classroom. It was a boring room, that much he could already tell. There was nothing exciting or pretty about it. Nothing for him to play and tinker with either. Boooo. "Hello...................." Professor Person. Yes you. HI. Zeke continued to pass the front of the room and then walked up one of the rows of desks and plopped himself on a seat. Anticipating excitement, Zeke withdrew his wand from its holster and placed it on the desk in front of him... along with some parchment, his ink and quill. HE WAS READY NOW! |
Charms class. What could Ophelia say about charms class? Well, it was her brother Isaac's favorite class by far. Although he tried to show off to her over the summer and ended up almost exploding the kitchen. So even though this was his favorite class, it wasn't exactly the best for him. Although Newton loved the class too, and she was much better at it. Then again, the eldest girl was better than the rest at most things, not accounting for the sports the younger ones played. It was a fact of life, if you were in the Clarke household, you aspired to be like Newton. So yeah, feelings were pretty mixed in this department. Her siblings made the class look easy, though they did that with muggle classes all through homeschooling and nothing good came out of that, so it their performance wasn't something Ophelia TRUSTED. Then again, it was a chance to be really good at something, and for the kid to pass it up would be like Newton passing up grant money to build a rocket ship. Completely insane. Also, SHE was here. Maleficient was graving this classroom too? Fantastic, because everyone could use a touch of evil in their daily diet, right? Sorry, she was being sassy. It was an Ophelia thing and sometimes she was just completely awful. At least the eleven year old didn't speak what she thought. Most of the time. There were those odd moments though when the blonde couldn't take it anymore and everything just shot out of her mouth. Anyway, class and professor. "Hello professor." Reaching into her bag and grabbing her notebook, the brown eyed girl smiled at her teacher and got ready for class. If she couldn't be amazing at this, at least she could show respect or something, right? |
Ah, time for Charms. One of Caleb's favorite classes! As he walked in, he saw that Lex was doing her whole evil sorceress act again - man, she was not going to let that go, was she? Caleb was starting to really get concerned. The Head Girl was obviously delusional and was anyone doing ANYTHING about it? As far as he had seen, nope. Still, he couldn't solve everyone's problems for them, so he sat down at his seat and waited for class to begin. |
Charms. It’s a very important subject therefore, Ethan wasted no time to get to the classroom. Hopefully, this class won’t be filled with drama like the others, because seriously? That can happen outside of class and not during one. Merlin’s beard. Entering, he immediately noticed the professor. “Good day, Professor Fuller.” a quick nod, and he immediately got the seat nearest him. |
Samantha quickly entered the classroom with a, "Hello, Professor Fuller." She found an empty seat in the middle of the rows of desks and promptly sat down. She retrieved her notebook, quill and ink and placed them on the desk in front of her. |
Gabe Y'know what they needed to learn in Charms class? How to be charming. There were a dozen reasons why, but the top three were: 1) Dot would be better at making friends 2) Lex would know you couldn't sit on desks 3) Sophie and The Boy wouldn't laugh at the poor professor like that See? They all needed charm lessons. Dot slipped into the seat next to Gabe without saying a word to him, although she did give the professor a stoic nod. It was hard to be the butt of someone's joke. She felt for him, yup. "Good day, Mr. Professor." Prince Charming. |
The two laughing Goons and Maddie One minute the classroom had been relatively quiet and the next both Sophie and Toby were laughing...or coughing...like maniacs. Had something happened? Why'd they start their fit after he spoke....did he say something wrong? Eyes just slightly wider than normal Kyroh gazed around, confused. Toby and Sophie wouldn't laugh at him so......yeah.....he'd pretend they were completely sane now. Instead he'd focus back on Maddie! And her drawing. It wasn't more than faint lines on paper at this point but he could see the head, eyes, hair. "Looks like somebody." Kyroh said nodding in agreement. "Your cheek's getting red." Reaching out he gently poked the side of her face with his finger. Weird. |
Lulz, Connor, Layla, mentions of Gabe SPOILER!!: CON Connor must be her class buddy. He was always there. And always liked to sit by her, HEH. Eden didn't mind, though. Connor was definitely one of the besties. She nudged him playfully and rolled her eyes his way. "Why you gotta' always sit by me? Ugh. You know I hate you--" She was TEASING okay. And Connor would know by the tone of her voice that she was, too. She glanced around the room as people came in, and she couldn't help but notice the LOOK that Gabriel kid from her house was giving Connor. ............WHUT? She just glanced back and forth between them and--she bit her lip thoughtfully. "Connor--" she whispered. "Does Ruby's brother hate you for some reason?" Like...had Connor OFFENDED him? Connor was the NICEST guy she knew. She couldn't even think of offensive things Connor did. And now she was all INTRIGUED. SPOILER!!: LAYLAY Eden nearly choked when Layla said that. She covered her mouth and eyed the room very suspiciously, as if it were trying to gag her with flies. Her cheeks were burning red, too. Thanks Layla. "I was most CERTAINLY not gawking." She hissed, sending her dormie a VERY strongly FELT glare. Yep. Eden was scary |
AND Maddie hi sup Quote:
If it WAS indeed the mammal superhero (they were ALL mammals, right? Except maybe Spiderman. But Batman was probably more mammal and Spiderman was less mammal than the others. That made sense), did he get a prize? 'Cause he thought guessing a comic character that Kyroh couldn't was a great achievement indeed. Also, "If her cheek is red you are supposed to politely ignore it and not point it out." He stated this with utter assurance, 'cause Dima knew his MANNERS yo, and he reached over Maddie's head and poked Kyroh's cheek for good measure. Professor Fuller just got a waaaave. Hi Fuller. When he didn't comb his hair, Dima didn't have to either, right? |
Hi!Mari ...What was going on? He could basically hear the room seconds before he could see it. WAS HE LATE!?! The totally panicked Gryffindor basically sprinted the rest of the way to class and by the time he got inside, his face was VERY red and he was breathing VERY heavily..... Why was it so empty though? Was everyone late? Quickly spotting Fuller, Zander walked towards him- still trying to regain his breath in the process. "Hi, Professor," Ahem. Hopefully no one noticed anything at all. Pft. He didn't sprint to class, only first years sprinted to class. Not him. He was a fourth year now. No sprinting here people, sprinting isn't cool. Anyways, as for where to sit. The Gryffindor looked around desperately to try to find his friends. First he noticed Bay and a HUGE smile made it's way onto his face. BAY! It had been ages since Zander got to speak to him and-- Ugh. Of course. He was right by Lux, as per usual. Welp, there goes that option. Couldn't even try that. Looking around some more, he spotted Sophie and CB! But uh, Sophie and Toby seemed to have some sort of joke or something going on... So maybe not. Either way he gave the three of them smiles. And then, his eyes landed on Marigold. That girl was always so confusing and stuff. Plus, she didn't really talk that much when they were together. It was always just... Awkward. But well, he did need someone to sit near and she was kind of just there so uh, hi Marigold. |
First lesson of Charms, how intriguingly exciting! The third year made sure her hair was neatly appropriate before making her way into the Charms classroom. She immediately took notice of the Professor & gave a polite & swift curtsy, "Good M-Morning Professor.." She smiled quickly before turning on her heels, only to take notice of Ethan sitting rather close to the Professor's desk. Still smiling she gave him a quick wave before choosing the seat behind him & making sure everything was neatly placed on her desk. |
Quote:
Ethan returned the smile and wave with his own. "Hey there." Ethan had to control himself from smiling too much. Getting your crush's attention without doing anything was just...the best, okay? And...where is going...was she going to sit...OH. Sit behind him. Well, ooookay. That should be fine, yeah? At least she won't see him blush or anything. Wait, did he even comb his hair today?! |
Quote:
Ugh... Josie sighed a little bit feeling frustrated, but then soon found herself staring at the back of his head. Not having any other reason than just staring...and staring...and-OH, wait look down.. She was soon pretending to be fussing with her hair again as she tried not to look like a loon staring at the back of someone's head for some unexplained reason...even if it was a pretty nice head.. ...What? |
SPOILER!!: Ladies Connor raised an eyebrow to Layla. "What's Cliche?" He saw nothing of the sort here. Eden was one of his best friends, none of his other close friends were here so of course he would sit with her. It's not like he liked her like that, or that they were dating. Sure, they'd snogged...but his feelings were elsewhere. Then Eden was being silly, as usual. "Are you gonna be like this with all the Male Professors?" He asked but it least this one didn't seem to be mean? At least so far, Connor didn't know Professor Fuller well. "It's because i want you to hate me moooooore" He joked and looked around the room at the second part of her statement. Who? What? "Ruby has a brother here? and he hates me?" Connor made a face and honestly didn't know who this person was or what he could have against him. They'd never even met! |
Charms time it was, and Beverly Wayne was ready. She was in a better mood than most days and all was right in her world. Mostly. Yeah, lets go with that. Entering the class and taking a seat nearest the professor, she tied her hair up into a ponytail for concentration reasons. "Good day, Professor Fuller." She even smiled lightly. A nice day it was. Yes. Bring on the lesson. |
Cutty entered the Charms classroom, gave Fuller a greeting nod and headed over to a seat that placed him near Grayson Whitlock. His back, he made sure was covered. From his perch he observed the classroom and all the little social groups. The girl who looked enough like Hallie to be of relation was there and buzzing about Sophie and Tempus. But that wasn't Hallie, no. She mentioned a sister. Could that have been her? A little dark haired boy sat alone burying his nose in a booklet of sorts and his prefect struck up a conversation with a Ravenclaw girl. He really didn't like the people from that house. "Disgoostin." He said beneath his breath as he removed his wand, parchment and quill from his bag. He said it to no one in particular, but perhaps Whitty or Beverly could've heard him. |
Text Cut: normal people who said hello of some sort As the students started to filter in, the Charms professor gave each of them a greeting in response to the ones he received. He exchanged hello’s, hi’s, sup’s, waves, nods to all those that offered him one first. See, these were the good students. The nice, quiet, respectful ones who said hi all pleasantly and took their seats like the patient, lovely children that they were. Text Cut: Sophie And then there was Sophie. With her six little glitter specs. She was doing this just to spite him, he knew it. After he told her he didn’t want to see ONE spec of glitter left behind... she gave him six. Oh, and a peace offering. A chocolate frog. Did she realize he wasn’t going to eat it? She probably filled it with glitter. Fuller stared at her for a moment and held back the amusement that he felt. ”You’ve got cheek, kid.” LOTS of it. Text Cut: the offenders ........................................... There was his nickname. Merlin, he was going to murder Javy for slipping that name in the lesson last term. Fuller stood up from his desk and looked Kyroh STRAIGHT in the eye. ”I’m sorry, detention? Is that what you said? You want detention?” Because he would hAPPILY give him one. He wasn’t always a grumpy guy, but there was a time and place for mockery and it wasn’t then. And it wasn’t for HIM, either. He shot a look to Sophie and Toby too. Because he HAD to. Not because he wanted to. But they had laughed, so the blame had to be shared. Text Cut: Malexacent Merlin’s beard, what now? Red headed queen? Stolen book? And now she was sitting on HIS desk???? Fuller looked at her with a CLEARLY unamused expression. ”I didn’t realize we had a thespian club here at Hogwarts.” That must be what she was practicing for? Unless she really was just bored and looking for attention. She had it now, she could sit down at her own desk. ”Go take a seat, Cambridge. On your chair.” Not his desk. After shooing her away, Fuller looked at the clock and saw that they were already running behind due to the lovely distractions they had so far. Sigh. ”Alright everyone, be quiet. Sit down.” He was officially grumpy now. Time to start class. Woop woop. Once everyone had shushed down, Fuller walked to the center of the front of the room and stuffed his hands into his pockets. ”Now, I know it’s only the beginning of the year. Your brains probably turned to mush over the summer from not being in class all the time, so I want to start off with a brief brain exercise. Think of all the things you did this summer. Those of you who are of age, what magic are you starting to use at home now that you are able to? Those of you who are underage, what kinds of magic did you wish you could have done over summer? I want everyone to think of something and answer.” There had to be something they wish they could do at home. Home during the summer was much different than being able to use magic at school. OOC: Class has now begun! If you would like to join, just jump on in and pretend you've been here all along. |
BOYS. Maddie was having a hard time sitting with HERS at the moment. "It's not Batman," She whispered, trying very hard not to be offended because HER drawing looked NOTHING like the dark knight. Did Dima need his EYES checked? But at LEAST Dima knew not to point out her cheeks which KYROH so kindly decided to do. Maddie swatted at his hand and nodded along with what Dima had said. Those were the RULES and she'd write them in the book for the thing that met in that place so it was official, yeah? GOSH. Her drawing was going AWAY now. And did Professor Fuller just ask if Kyroh wanted detention? He was staring at him so it must be true. Fuller had pretty eyes, huh? But anyway...Maddie's eyes widened slightly because she really didn't want her best f-word to be upset in this lesson. She DID think that some extra time spend with their knowledgeable Charms Professor would be beneficial, though. Because knowledge. Yeah. Maybe they could stop by his office sometime INSTEAD of detention. Kyroh was going to get himself out of this, yeah? Brain into mush? What was THIS? Brains were valuable and they needed to be exercised, especially if you were going to be ruler of the world someday. Maddie certainly didn't let HERS waste away over the summer. She had read and planned and occasionally pranked the brothers and ALL those things were beneficial to her mind, thank you very much. "The unlocking charm would've been beneficial over the summer, Professor." MAYBE for mischievous reasons but she didn't have to share THAT part. |
AJ was first to arrive. Adi greeted her with a smile. "Hey,'' was all he managed to give in reply as Angel turned up practically skipping into the classroom. She got an amused look from him. Benny was usual was last. Adi gave him a wide grin. Hiiiii, awesome bestie. ................................... Oh hey, the lesson was getting underway. Great! What kind of magic he wished he could have done over the summer? That was an easy question, yo! Adi knew this answer immediately. Hand up, he answered "Those spells that can make you put stuff in their rightful places.'' Being a dude, he sometimes let his room get waaaay too messy when CDs, comic books and other things were strewn around. He would not object to learning those types of spells. It would save him precious time where he could be doing other stuff. |
SPOILER!!: Connor BONES Eden snorted at Connor. The Gryffindor was truly ridiculous. But he was HER ridiculous Gryffindor-friendly, of course. Nothing more, and she was confident that she and Connor were just friends. No matter what other people said at all. "NO. I will NOT. Just the handsome ones." She whispered, so the pretty professor wouldn't hear her. "And I most certainly hate you the most out of everyone in this room." So there, Connor Jones. She smirked, though, and would probably continue to tease him like this all class. "Ruby Banner--her brother is in my house. In my year. Gabriel?" Honestly, did Connor pay ATTENTION to things? Eden had a lot of nerve, though, because she was very oblivious to everything ever. She tried not to say his name TOO loud do he wouldn't think they were talking about it--they kind of were, but not badly. She just wanted to know why he was peering at Connor in such a way. SPOILER!!: Fuller! HI HELLOs were exchanged, and Eden just sighed. He was friendly enough, good. SHe was going to be really lousy at this class, so it was best that he be---oh. Now he was being grumpy. Eden just raised an eyebrow. Who had put him in such a mood?! He was FINE a few minutes ago! Ugh. Whatever. He was starting class, and she flicked Connor's shoulder once so that he would quit blabbering away--and paid GOOD attention to Professor...Fuller, apparently. What HAD she done this summer? She tried to think of something INTERESTING to say. Well...there was one time...with Phe...YES. She would say this aloud. And expect Connor grumbles about it, too. She raised her hand gingerly. "I actually jumped off a bridge once--" she beamed. And then, she blushed, realizing it sounded really ODD and continued--" With my friend, Phoenix." You know, the puffy-haired Gryffindor? "And we jumped off a bridge into a lake, so it was all nice and fun and full of adrenaline. And it was a very HOT day so..yeah." THERE. She hoped that would be a nice enough story. It might not be entirely legal to just jump off a bridge into a lake...or had it been a river? Eden didn't know. Not the point. ADRENALINE. "Knowing the drying spell would have been handy. I still forget it all the time." Nod nod. Eden had horribly memory when it came to spells. |
Ian had been mindlessly doodling sea beasties on his parchment when he heard the professor speak. The first thing he really noticed was the professor trying to get the crazy head girl off his table and to her own seat. Ian looked around, wondering where she would be placed. Listening to the professor, Ian heard him mention summer, and mushy brains and magic. Summer, and mushy brain, he could relate with. Magic, he could not. He hadn't been able to use magic this summer and the one time he tried, well...his solitude was testament enough. Ian took a deep breath and tried to think of the magic he would have preferred to use. THinking about carrying those heavy traps around, Ian knew exactly what he'd wished he could do. Even if there was no rule against underage magic, Ian had been lectured by his dad there would be no funny business on his boat. Ian would loved to have levitated his traps about. Professor... Ian began before clearing his throat. I would have liked to be able to use wingardium leviosa. Would have made part of my work easier. |
As soon as Fuller had mentioned detention to Kyroh, Toby had shut straight up and looked back around again, biting the inside of his lip anxiously. 'Cause Kyroh probably hadn't meant to do something troublesome; had probably said it in good humour or because it had just slipped out. The Hufflepuff glanced towards Kyroh, hoping hoping hoping that he wasn't upset by the detention-threat-thing. Toby caught the ~look~ too, and if it was possible to shut up any more than he already had, then he'd have done so. Instead he just sort of......... slunk down in his seat a little more, and looked down at his desk guiltily and quietly. He was picking up on Fuller's grumpy mood, and knowing he'd helped cause it? Well. WELL. It wasn't a fun feeling. And when that question came up about summer and magic and everything......... he was even less willing to speak up and answer. Nope. No. He'd just sit here quietly and be good and write his notes and not make eye contact and look back out the window and pretend he was invisible okay good plan. |
Class was starting, and the first question was what spell she wished she could use over the summer. Hmm, that was a good one. Raising her hand, she gave an answer. "The drying spell because someone hit me with a water balloon when I was in Diagon Alley." That someone being Marigold. |
Jasmine sat up a little straighter. It was time for class to begin and the topic was, "What charms did I use over the summer?". After thinking about it for a moment, Jasmine raised her hand. "I found the cleaning charms helpful. I did a lot of Scourgify and Tergeo. It definitely was a real timesaver.". Sure, they weren't exactly fun charms, but with her chores done quickly, it left more time for fun things. |
Some Professor understood that some kids did not want to just say hello all the time it got boring. He was not being rude or anything. Just having a tiny bit of fun. Dante wished his brain would turn to mush during the summer and forget most of the useless info he will learn. Yeah, sounded like fun. But he did not get that chance. But he has thought of what it would be like to know a lot of magic and what spells he would use. "The kind of magic that would make me a giant ramp to launch himself off of on my bike and do some epic tricks while landing in a pit of soft blocks. Which was also magicked there" Now that would be awesome spells to learn. |
Angel, Benny and Adi all got nods from her. She was distracted with all the drama that was unfolding around her. For once she was not involved so she would just sit back and watch the show. It seemed as if Lex had a thing about sitting in the professor's seats. What was up with that? Everything that Lex had been doing was questionable. AJ was surprised that none of the professor's had lost their cool with her yet. No time to worry about that now because the class was moving on with or without her. Hmm... there were so many things that she wished she could have used magic on. What to say? What to say? The professor wouldn't want to hear another unicorn rant, and besides she didn't think there was a spell that would automatically make you a unicorn owner. Scratch that idea. AJ raised her hand. "I wish I could have used magic on my chores." Who liked helping to cook, wash dishes and clothes? Not her. |
Angel looked at the Professor as she raised her hand. "I wished I could have used a spell to do the washing up." Angel sighed. "When it's my turn... it can get boring." Angel didn't think her mother would let them use it even if they could though, she was a muggle see as was her father. "I don't know if it's because I'm a triplet but boy do we use a lot of plates and cups and things at home." Angel was being truthful. |
His brain did not turn to mush over the summer. Maybe it was a little mushy, but not super mushy, you know? Just like the perfect amount of mush. Okay, okay it was all mush. But at least it was Fourth Year mush. Ahem. As for the question, he had to think for a bit. He didn't actually accomplish too much over the summer holiday. Really all he did was get some more freedom to go to Diagon Alley all by himself for the very first time. And then he got into a fight with Lux. And then he bumped into Mack. And that was still awkward. But uh, he did buy some chocolate frogs? "Magic that would help me carry all my chocolate frogs to the train station for me." That was his final answer. Except he wasn't really sure which spell would really work for that... Maybe a simple "Locomotor... chocolate frogs?" |
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Ruby was being SO good not SAYING particular things, though she had a KNOWING look in her eyes as she watched the professor. SO THIS WAS THE ONE? ... .... maaaybe she could get a good grade out of the association? She put her hand up. "I don't need to do spells, I get boys to do things for me." PAUSE. "I'm Ruby Banner by the way sir, its SO NICE to meet you." The getting boys to do things thing was a thing, but honestly if Ruby was putting any particular thought into an answer there were a few things she could say that she'd like to be able to do. For instance it was totally handy being able to quickly dry your nails without waiting around. |
Dima and Maddie mentioned too SPOILER!!: Professor Man and talks of DETENTION You weren't suppose to notice when someone's cheek was red? Was that one of those unspoken rules that Dot had told him about the first time they met? Social conventions? He still didn't GET those. "But what if she was sick?" The second year asked as he himself was poked in the cheek. There wasn't time for an answer though. Nope. Because no sooner than the question had left his mouth had the Charms Professor come swooping in. ......... .........Detention? "...Didn't say that Professor." His voice came out strangely calm. Not upset in the least bit. He had offered the Professor help with his hair, that was all really. Maybe he just needed to clean out his ears? Surely Professor Piersi-wait......no.........his name was Fuller. Oops. ..."A spell to make myself invisible." Because that would have worked excellent in the summer at any time. And now. Couldn't give detention to an invisible person. |
Hmmmm. What spells had she wanted to use? Uhhhh how about all of them. She raised her hand in the air and said "I would make myself invisible so I would always win Hide n' Seek with my little brothers." Not that she needed any help, she DOMINATED at Hide n' Seek, but it would have been fun to laugh at them trying to find her for hours. Ha. Brothers. It was fun to see them frustrated. |
Text Cut: BEST THOUGH She had CHEEK, did she? Well, Soph wasn't really sure if it was meant as a compliment or not, but she absolutely took it as one, grinning away despite his lack of a reciprocated smile. He had to put on a good show for the rest of the class, didn't he? Let them think if they were cheeky with him, he'd glare at 'em and be scary? So she didn't let it bother her too much. It probably wasn't a personal thing. ...But then he gave the threat of detention to poor little Kyroh who OBVIOUSLY was so innocent that Fuller couldn't have REALLY thought the kid was being deliberately cheeky - which was what had made it SO funny in the first place, though, because Kyroh HAD been so obviously unknowing that what he said was not right. Fuller... was really not a happy camper, however, which made it easier for Soph to stop laughing and sober up a little, only traces of a smile lingering on her face. He... wasn't REALLY mad, was he? Wasn't he putting on a show for the class again? A tough facade so the others who he didn't love as much wouldn't bother him like that in the future? Riiiiiight?? She tried to look really, really innocent despite the look he was giving her and Tobes, and she managed to peek at her boyfriend and make sure he wasn't taking the scolding from his father figure too terribly. And... it seemed he was taking it pretty hard, based upon the way his whole posture had drooped and he seemed very keen on not making eye contact with anyone ever again in his whole life. Sophie sighed a little, her expression turned apologetic as she turned her gaze back up to Fuller, wondering if the man realized how quickly Toby's mood had just plummeted, too, and mouthing a "sorry" on behalf of both herself and Tobes. She was all about remedying the situation as best as she could, of course, and stuck her hand high in the air at the professor's question. She could cheer them both up in an instant, she knew she could. "I wish I could've been able to cast Orchideous to present a bouquet of flowers to people as a congratulations when they shared good news with me." Heeeeeeehehehe. He knew what she meant, right? Even though she was super vague and no one would suspect she meant anything about him? "And using magic to cook stuff and clean up messes would've been good, too." ALSO things he knew all about firsthand. Though she said it all so casually that no one would suspect a thing and it was like a little secret inside joke between them. And Tobes a little. Something... that would... hopefully make him smile? Remember the good times? Et cetera, et cetera? |
If she was being completely honest, "I'm growing awfully short with the name Cambridge. It does not belong to me and I'd hoped someone would take me seriously by now." With an elegant flash of her hand she thought it prudent to introduce herself. "You have the pleasure of meeting Maleficent, Mistress of All Evil. You'd do best not to forget it." You think people would take a hint after she'd gone to the trouble dying her hair black and finding more suitable robes. Slow, that's what these people were. In all this she didn't move an inch from her spot on his desk. It was quite a lovely desk. The chair looked good too but she'd sit here for now. Thanks for the suggestion though. "I use whatever spells I want whenever I want regardless of the season. What sort of question is this?" Didn't everyone with the capability use magic? It'd be a pity if they didn't. "Though I suppose if you must specify.....In the summer things get hot and I'm more easily irritated. I'd say spells to make people permanently disappear." That was her take on the matter. |
The professor got a very WIDE-EYED look when he was being terse with Kyroh, because Kyrohs never ever should be talked to like that. You needed to not hurt their feelings because they were lovely. Like Dimas. They needed people like Maddie and Dot to keep them safe. But why wasn't Dima sitting with her? She twitched a bit before raising her hand to answer his question. Since he was the professor and everything. A mean one, though. Super mean. "I wanted to make sequins with my wand, but I couldn't even practice it until I got here." |
What did Caleb want to do if he could legally use magic? Please, what WOULDN'T he do if he could use magic?! Chores would be a thing of the past! He wouldn't ever get up to do ANYTHING - he'd levitate everything towards him. It would be the life, it really would. He raised his hand. "I wish I could use magic so I could magically vanish all of the Crup poop I had to pick up in the backyard from Baldwin," he said bluntly. It was true, that was the worst chore of them all! |
And class has begun! Ethan focused all of his attention to the man up front, parchment and self-inking quill at the ready. Usually, Fuller’s classes are brief in theory and more on the practical stuff which makes it more fun. Anyway, onto his first question. He’s underage still, and to be honest, he’d love to do charms stuff outside of school. Why? Hand up. “Professor? I’d like to use a charm that could help me clean up my room, putting back all of my stuff where it belongs.” Now that, is dead useful. Uh-huh. |
Kace liked the professor's question. He wondered what spell could he have used to help him out this summer. Oh he knew one in an instant. "Well professor I think I would have loved to use scourgify to help clean the dishes faster and not do it by hand. I would have also loved to use the levitation charm so I wouldn't have to pick up such heavy boxes." He knew Belle could do it but he wished he could. |
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! Professor Piersie. Oh MAN. Kyroh had said it. Oh JEEZ. The detention part wasn't funny but what WAS funny was that this came from one of the most innocent people Grayson knew. It was always the innocent ones. Brains turned to mush? Certainly felt that way what with getting used to the new routine and all. And it wasn't as if Grayson had bothered looking in his textbooks once he bought them. He wasn't gonna give himself MORE work to do! Not during the HOLIDAYS. Holidays were meant to be spent having fun and enjoying the time off. No WAY was he gonna sit there and figure out whether Cheering Charms were better than a vial of Elixir to Induce Euphoria. Think of all the things he did? SMIRK. Yeah, not gonna say anything about THAT.. Being underage, Grayson decided to answer the second question instead. "Any spell that'll help me do chores faster is helpful, in my books. Or Protego, in case of unwanted attacks." Freaking Billy from down the road and his freaking stupid pranks. "You need to be able to defend yourself and bringing up a good shield charm can be better than using your bag or whatever." Especially if you didn't carry around a hefty bag in the first place. |

Well, judging by her short body and the fact that this was her first year here, Ophelia was underaged to do magic at home. So what kind of magic would she have liked to do? Well, there was soo much! Turn her brother into a toad for stealing her chocolate and hiding it, apparate so that her sister couldn't put her in a bad mood, turn water goblets into bats to watch her mom's reaction and be able to make the garden gnomes chase her like her brother did when she was eight. But since she was only a kid, she would have to wait to play fabulous pranks on her siblings and to enchant garden gnomes. Those sneaky little lawn ornaments got off for now. Also, waiting till eighteen to use magic anywhere but Hogwarts would be torturous. Her siblings ALWAYS got to use magic in the house, and it was annoying that Ophelia wasn't allowed to. But she wasn't going to foot the blame for her parents getting in trouble with the ministry, so the magic remained up to the older kids at her household. But that didn't mean that her and her neighbor friend didn't pretend to use magic with sticks when they were playing in the woods. Oooh! She had her answer! A happy hand went up into the air, attached to a happy child. Because she just found her answer! The spell that always ended their fake battles together! "I wish I could turn my sister into a wombat, because she always thinks she's right and she's an older pest!" Because little sister trauma was traumatic. But have you tried LIVING with her? She always thought she was right, and she got to boss Ophelia around and stuff. And mom always believed her side of the story over the young child's! |
'What kinds of magic did you wish you could have done over summer?' That was a very good question actually, which magic would she have liked to have used? Come to think of it there quite a few things she would have had liked to have used, if only she were allowed to that was. But there was one that came straight to her head that she really wished she could used & made her raised her hand, "W-Well...A-At night I-I couldn't really see the text in m-my books too well when I-I had been reading them..A-And there was a constant feeling that I-I wish I could use L-Lumos.." And with Lumos she could definitely read more clearly, all without her father thinking she were awake. Plus, she would have probably have hidden under her quilt & blankets to hide the bright light. But yes, Lumos would have been something very resourceful to use over the summer Professor Fuller. |
Okay, Heather liked this professor. He didn't put up with any crap. Also, no fakeness required. And to answer the question: "Alohomora would have been useful." Instead of sneaking back in by climbing in a window, she could've just unlocked the front door. Would've saved her a lot of twisted ankles and hurt fingers. |
Ignoring the silly giggling, coughing- whatever that was earlier, Coral pulled out her supplies, glitter ink and parchment, setting it all up neatly, missing whatever it was that was soooo funny it nearly got them all detention. She neatly put the date up in the top corner of her notes in her loopy neat handwriting, taking a look up at the front of the room. She'd took note that a figure had taken a seat next to Gabe as she'd sorted out her notes. Not that she didn't believe him initially, 'cause she did, but there were more than one seat around him and not all of them were exactly taken... Trying to shake the thoughts from her head, and actually shaking her head a little in the process, CB caught sight of Zander and gave him a follow up grin. Which he probably wouldn't get a chance to see as he'd sat already.... Moving her attention back to Professor Fuller, she gave the question a good thought and....... Decided she didn't want to answer. She didn't want to talk about summer. Or the fights with her sister that had come up after it was all done and over with. Instead, she started doodling hippos in her notebook. |

Zeke was happy just casually sitting there, minding his own business, making a mental note to himself to keep from getting on THIS Professor's bad side... he was a grumpy bum now wasn't he. Looooool. He also didn't know what to make of peoples brains turning to mush, THAT... was a little insulting, but... again, NOT getting on HIS bad side. Nope. Not today at least. Still, Zeke pondered the question the man had posed. What had he done over the summer, and what magic did he WISH he could use. Duuhhh. Wasn't that obvious? It didn't matter WHAT he did, "I just wanted to do ANY magic, Professor," Zeke answered, his hand half raised in the air, half hesitant. "I don't know any magic aside from the random stuff that happens occasionally, so if I could've, I'dve tried ANYTHING." Even that cleaning stuff, and the stuff to help cook and fun stuff too like... errr... FUN STUFF. |

Text Cut: Fuller Someone was well on their way to making the top 5 ultimate Professors list Cutty filed away in the darkest recesses of his brain. In one fell swoop, Fuller had smited Cutty's three least favourite people at the school. He sat at his desk thinking and inwardly celebrating life's little gifts. Should he tell Fuller, and thus the class at large what he'd actually done during his summer holiday? No. No. Best let the man adhere to his pre-constructed concepts for now. He hardly knew Fuller, but their relationship was taking a step in the right direction thus far in the year. Cutty's hand went up and a buncha blah-blah-blah came out his mouth. Like so, "I wish I knew a few good hoodwinking spells. So I could override the trace and practice magic at home during the summeh." |
See? It was obviously easy to get on this professor’s bad side, and Brooklyn felt like watching the slightly older student who’d been threatened with detention. Just to see if it looked like he’d meant it, since why anyone would willingly seek out detention was weird to her. Getting her way certainly wasn’t, and that brought her attention back to the crazy head girl, who was still convinced that she was an evil fairy. She didn’t particularly care for the act. Of all the fictional characters she could think of to pretend to be, especially ones who held any sort of real power, she would have never chosen that. It was just weird, as was the fact the older girl had consistently tried to take over the professors’ desks and or mats in classes. Power could be had everywhere, and there wasn’t a need to make a scene just to get it. She knew that. She was planning on getting it, and that was why she needed the professors on her side. Prefects were good for that too, barring the crazy ones. Anything that could mean she could do as she liked. When she wanted to, as right now it was all making sure she could. She’d actually act on it later. “Professor, I wanted to do everything. Well, aside from completely useless spells, but I couldn’t. Not when I don’t know them yet,” she answered, raising her hand. Aside from Scourgify. She knew that spell from home, and then the ones she’d learned in other classes so far, but she hadn’t known those before she got here. And anyway, obviously her brain couldn’t have turned to mush from not being in class. She’d only had what her mother taught her before now, and she wasn’t allowed to cast spells at home. |

Slowly lifting her hand into the air she answered softly. "Right now I would have to say none mainly because I'm not used to being able to do magic. Everything I've ever done was by hand or something like that, maybe next year though after I've been here at school that will change." She thought her answer was good because how would one know what spells they'd like to do if they haven't ever done any before? |
At this point Cyprien wasn't sure what spells he would have liked to use...hmmmm....not really sure....welll he always wanted to make things levitate. "Wingardium Leviosa would have been a fun spell" he answered. Being able to make stuff fly around his room would be pretty awesome. |
SPOILER!!: Edenface SPOILER!!: Prof Fuller Connor was about to reply to his friend but class had begun and he wouldn't be one of those rude people who spoke when the Professor's did, nope. He was here to LEARN things, He would deal with this kid's hatred of him later..but whatever. Hmm well there were plenty of times Connor could think of that he wanted to use magic, like having to get out of his bed to grab his remote or doing dishes, even at work it would make filing papers easier, really it was just laziness. But he thought of a good example. Of course he raised his hand first, couldn't just start talking. "Well, over the summer a lot of my friends live far away, i don't really like flooing. So i wish i could've apparated to see them over summer." Mmmhmm good answer, Jones. |
+ Prof Text Cut: Eden, Connor Eden was so distracted by the Professor and all Layla could do was smirk at the brunette as she answered back at her. And then came Connor questioning what she found cliché. She raised her brow, the smirk staying fully implanted on your face. “No need to get so touchy” her voice was lowered to barely a whisper. “I was talking about the classic teacher crush.” The fifteen year old glanced quickly at Eden with a smug expression before looking back at the Professor as he started the lesson. Judging by the pairs reactions something clearly HAD happened between them. Not that Layla really cared. As for the Professors question, the blonde found it a little difficult to answer. She wasn’t of age and she didn’t even know how to properly control her magic over the last summer and so that half of the question was totally inaccessible to her anyway. She doubted she would use much magic at home either, mostly because her parents were muggles and the only member of her family that could technically perform magic had moved out. And he was useless anyway. “I guess I’d have to borin’ and say the cleanin’ spells cos when you have four nephews that you have to babysit they leave the place lookin’ a right mess” she answered after raising her hand. It was annoying considering she couldn’t ask the three year old triplets or the five year old Felix to clean up after their mess because they just made it even worse and as she was the only one home at the time with both her parents at work it was left all down to her. Boys. Seriously. |
Marigold was feeling a bit strange. Shifting slightly in her chair, she almost muttered 'Charms' under her breath because she was pretty sure that was what Fuller was after, but she didn't let herself do that. Instead, she raised one hand. "Summoning charms." Coz laaaaaazy Hufflepuff over here. |
He wasn't quite sure WHY Maddie was so embarrassed about her drawing that wasn't Batman or why Professor Fuller was being a bully when Kyroh had only called him by the wrong name once or why Dot had leARNED HOW TO make SEQUINS and he didn't know about it yet. That was clearly the most upsetting thing going on in his life right now. "Is there a spell to muffle sound, sir?" What was it called again....? "Muffle.... Mufflio?" Yeah! That! Sure! "I could have used that." |
Oh look. The Claws were being dramatic and Lex was still completely out of her mind. So the usual. Cool. Zahra put her hand up. "I just really need to be able to apparate already." That's all she needed. |
Text Cut: responses in here! Alright, that was enough input. ”Good answers everyone. Without further ado, let us move on to our lesson. What I have planned today is a rather fun activity, one that I think you all will enjoy.” Hopefully. Usually when adults said that, it ended up being the opposite. During his pause in speech, Fuller flicked his wand a wheeled out a cart with a GIANT pile of old cameras on it. ”Can anybody tell me how moving pictures are produced?” Hmmm? ”There are a few ways, so don’t be afraid to answer. You could be right.” Or you could NOT be, but he was trying to be encouraging. |
Be careful how he spoke? Still staring at Fuller Kyroh pushed himself lower in his chair, so that half his body was now underneath the desk. He stared at the Professor for while before finally his head slowly fell downwards and then back up. He could do that just fine. Especially if he didn't speak at all. And no, he did not know how moving pictures were made. But if he did he wouldn't say it anyways. |
It was haaaard not to giggle because Ruby knew things. It was also hard not to ask inappropriate (yet amusing) questions, but she contented herself with answering HIS question instead. Hand sort of went up. "There are like, developing potions." Someone who cared probably knew what they were called. |
Ruby's quite right. Mordred's been using that potion for his pictures, and he'd seen him brew it a couple of summers ago. "Devomotion Potion, professor." he said with his hand raised. They won't be brewing that today, because it's Charms class. However, he was curious as to how they can make a picture move without the potion. And here he thought there was only one way on how to do it. |
He had lots to learn? Kid? ... ..... Well OF COURSE he had lots to learn! It was the single most important reason why he was HERE of all places! Duuuuuhhhh! And he hoped that Charms would be an area where he could excel. Charms were handy for alllllll sorts of thing, so, BRING IT ON. ... And with that being said and done, there wasn't much he could contribute to conversation, and he knew better than to embarrass himself with a response of 'magic'. That much was a given. What some of the others were saying made super good sense, though he didn't see what they had to do with charms per se... it was all... potions stuff. Interesting. |
At first when the Professor asked about moving pictures, Jasmine wasn't sure what he meant. Spending most of her life immersed in the muggle world, she immediately thought of videos. But this wasnt Muggle Studies. Of course Professor Fuller didn't mean that. He meant moving photos, wizard style. Jasmine was a bit of a photography buff, but she had only done it the muggle way. Since some of her classmates had already answered the question, she decided to remain silent on this one. Then on second thought, she had an idea. Raising her hand, Jasmine asked a question. [B]"Professor, is there a charm that can make still pictures move?"[B]. This was Charms class after all. |
That's what Hady was looking forward to. Learning everything she could here at Hogwarts. Different spells, charms, potions and so much more. She nodded her head at the Professor in agreement. Surely if this same question was asked next year she'd have a completely different answer. She wasn't exactly sure of the answer to the Professor's next question but she could at least give it a try. "Is there a certain charm that's put onto the camera that make the photos move when developed?" Hady asked raising her hand into the air. It was more of a question then an answer really but she was trying. |
That's right, Professor. For in case she got locked out. EXACTLY. Maddie smirked a little, cheeks slightly pink for reasons she refused to divulge with anyone, including her bests. SPEAKING of, Professor Fuller-his face really was lovely-he was being REALLY unfair to Kyroh. Because Maddie was PRETTY sure Toby the Hufflepuff and Sophie the Claw had BOTH been laughing and Kyroh CLEARLY hadn't meant any harm yet HE was the one getting all the stern looks. She was beginning to see who the Charms man's favorites were, yes? And while knowing he played favorites was beneficial because SHE was clearly favorite material, it made her feel bad for Kyroh because HELLO, unjust treatment. The boy looked SAD. Maddie didn't like sad Kyroh. Maddie wanted to get the house elves to bake sad Kyroh a CAKE but she couldn't right now because class with the pretty professor. She DID nudge him gently in the arm, though. Smiled faintly too. She had his BACK, yeah? And if HE was taking a vow of silence, SHE would too. SOLIDARITY. |
Chores were a pain, he got it. You would think having two other sisters would be helpful, and cut down on the work. It didn't though. It really didn't. More people just made more mess, and UGH CHORES. Anywho, the professor said that they were moving on to an activity that they would actually like. Was he sure about that? If he said so. Old looking cameras were suddenly brought into play. AJ had no idea how they were able to move, but she thought it was bloody brilliant. Too bad she couldn't make her muggle ones move. Or could she? Considering this was a charms class, she would be willing to bet all of her chocolate frogs that it had to do with a charm. "I'm guessing you could just use a charm on it." Which one? She had no idea. El moveo? More importantly... "Do you have to use a special wizards camera? Or could you use any ol' camera and then just charm the picture after it's taken? Also, I have this really cool poster of a unicorn at home, and if my mum owls it to me, could you make it move?" That would be beyond awesome. It would pretty much make this professor her favorite professor. Who didn't want to be in that role? |
Agatha was going to answer professor Fuller's question and even put her hand up. She knew that it was a potion that made photos move, but she had no idea what it was called since she never had to brew one of those. She didn't really took photos or painted portraits or anything, so why bother? But then other student started saying Potions before she had a chance to, and even that annoying male prefect of theirs gave a proper name. Trying to be the teacher's pet, was he? Or maybe he was just showing off. Ugh, how annoying. Rolling her eyes, Agatha lowered her hand without giving any answers. No point repeating what had been already said, and she didn't know any other information she could give and didn't want o make anything up. The Slytherin could take notes of what was being said, but she REFUSED to write down what Ethan Mordaunt had said. No. Even if he was right - that silly know-it-all, urgh -, she would NOT write his answer down. No, just no. No. |
SPOILER!!: Connor and Layla Eden listened to their answers. WOW. She felt dumb. She hadn't really answered the professor's question--OOPs. CLASSIC teacher crush? Eden just appreciated when a man was CUTE. Yeah, LAYLA. She eyed her dormmate but..continued to pay attention. They would both get kicks under the table SOON. Merlin. Trying to do some LEARNING here. SPOILER!!: Fuller Yep. Eden felt duuuumb. Oh well. She would try harder at the NEXT question, yeah? Another fun activity? Would it be as fun as repotting Bulby plants? -___- Eden somehow wouldn't be convinced it was fun until he actually explained what they would be doing because..HMPH. OH! Muggle cameras! Really OLD ones! She perked up--if this was about muggly things, she'd be gr---oh. Nope. Of course, this wasn't MUGGLE studies. It wouldn't be about MUGGLE things, no. She didn't know the answer to this question at ALL. She didn't want to answer. But. Yeah. She raised her hand timidly..."Don't you soak the pictures in a special...liquid...that makes them move?" She thought that was how..charmed liquid or something...but the details were hazy in her brain. She wasn't exactly...sure. |
