FINALLY entering the Astronomy classroom after the 'House Elves at work. Please do not disturb' sign had been removed, you see nothing out of the ordinary other than an especially clean classroom. The desks are arranged in their usual semi circle to help created a more personal and inviting environment. The late afternoon sunlight shines through the windows to give the room an almost heavenly glow.
In the front of the classroom is the professor's desk sitting before a massive chalk board that appears to be empty for the time being. Professor Flamsteed is currently leaning against his desk with his bum while finishing up a comic book he had started while waiting outside the classroom for the elves to finish their work.
Did you remember to use the lint roller on the small table outside of the classroom? It was there next to the sign that reads, "Not to be used as a brush for your hair" and has the signature of a former student in the bottom right corner.
So come on in and have a seat. Class will begin shortly despite the hour delay due to a conflict in house elf cleaning schedules.

Post 1 - Getting her gear and Thornton

"Everything's fine" he said into his arms, not for a single second believing that Flamsteed would let it go. "I can't do magic," he said, his little shoulders started to heave as his breath got short. "th.. this is... is supposed.. to be astronomy and and and and" wheeeeeeze. "I duh-duh-don't see why I hafta u-u-use my wand."
Having trouble getting his breath, Thornton looked up at Professor Flamsteed, and then at Penelope, and got out of his chair. He rushed over to a corner and pressed his back up against the wall, abandoning his bags, books and lumpy!planet. Crossing his arms like an 'x' over his chest, he closed his eyes and tried to take some deep, steady breaths.
Nothing to see here. Nope. Continue on with your planet blowing up or whatever. But maybe someone would bring him a helmet? Safety first.
This was seriously awesome! It was just like the Solar System! To say Hady was amazed would have been an understatement. When they were told to get their gear the first year made her way towards the front of the room. One the way she spotted Thornton moving to stand near the walls, he seemed to be having some trouble breathing. That couldn't be good?
Grabbing two helmets and two sets of chest armor she put hers on ignoring that it was a little bit to big. She then made her way over to the other first year and held out a helmet and chest armor to him. "You should wear these, just in case." Hady told him quietly with a soft smile. If he didn't want to take part in this that was his choosing but he should at least be safe. "I'm a first year also, I don't know very much on spells but I can help you if you like." She added after a moments thought. Maybe he'd feel better with someone his age helping him out? Hey they could always learn together right?

Taking a few cautious steps towards the Slytherin as she appeared with a planet, he gave her a small nod and tiny piece of advice. "Try to allow yourself a bit more distance between you and the bag next time. Wouldn't wand the planet to form around the tip of your wand should you skewer the bag. You'd have to blast it right off with Bombarda."
Or maybe she DID want that to happen and he had just given her an idea.
SPOILER!!: Thornton & Penelope!
Ravenclaws. Why was it always the Ravenclaws?
Giving Miss Wojack one final salute, he made his way over to the Ravenclaw duo and beamed somewhat obnoxiously down at them. "Everything alright over here?"
*****
A quick glance down at his sundial watch told him that practice time was up and it was time to get a move on. With a wave of his wand, the astronomer made two large boxes appear, one containing some chest armor and the other helmets.
"If everyone could please leave your planets where they are and come put a helmet and chest armor on," he instructed. "Purely a precautionary measure." Because, well, asteroids were sort of dangerous, you know?
And while they did that he was going to talk just a little. Or a lot. He tended to do the latter far more when it came to lessons.
"Going back to asteroids for a moment, within our own Solar System has an asteroid belt located roughly between the orbits of the planets Mars and Jupiter. If something were to knock into one of these asteroids as they orbit, they could fall towards the Sun, Mars or even Jupiter. Some even say that Mars' two moons, Phoenis and Demos, may have been asteroid that got caught by the planet's gravitational pull. There are also asteroids called Trojan asteroids that share an orbit with a planet and therefore circle around the sun in front or behind the planet. There are also over 8000 known near Earth asteroids that are often the inspiration for science fiction films with giant asteroids on an intercept course with Earth. And of course, there is also the the Kuiper belt waaaaaaaaaay out there beyond Neptune. More than 7000 asteroids have been discovered and several hundred more are discovered each year," he lectured - probably droning on and on for some but the giddy school boy tone and bounce in his step hopefully kept most people's attention.
With another flick of his wand, all the desks in the classroom were pushed back up against the walls and the armillary sphere in the center of the classroom began to glow and formed a ball that resembled the sun - ony without the heat and blinding light. A swarm of red, yellow, blue, and green orbs, about the size of quaffles, appeared in the air around the armillary sphere and began to orbit around it. Some had very circular orbits while others were much more elliptical. Some appeared to be orbiting much faster because of their shorter orbit while others seemed to move a bit more slowly.
Grinning, in a rather comic book villain sort of way, he turned back towards the class.
"I would like you all to please spread out around the classroom, but please stay at least 10 steps back from our make-shift Solar System," he said as he gestured around the circular classroom. "For this activity you will all be acting as those near Earth asteroids, where you are the outside force that removes the asteroid from its original orbit. However, unlike the ones floating out there in space right now, you will be able to have some aim." Cue a little smirk as he gave his wand another flick and made another ring of floating gray objects appear - this time just outside of the sea of house colored planets and in various shape all about the size of a bludger.
"The 'planets' you have created are going to be your ammunition and after you use one should grab another bag from the appropriate box. Using the Locomotion Charm, you will fling it towards one of our asteroids with a firm flick of your wand downwards to knock it off it's orbit and hopefully impact one of the planets orbiting around our Sun. Should your asteroid hit, it will cause the planet to explode," he explained. Explode into what exactly? Glitter and confetti of the same color. He had tried to think of something else that could give off that sheen that glitter could, but kept coming up short.
Stupid glitter. Worst invention known to mankind.
"Miss and, well, that is why we have protective gear on. You do not need to stay in one place and are free to move about the perimeter. The goal is that you destroy the orbiting planets of the other houses, leaving your own the sole survivor in the Solar System."
Get it? Got it? GOOD! STELLAR!
He gave the room another look over, making sure that everyone had their gear on before continuing.
"Which ever house has the most planets remaining by the end of 30 minutes is the winner! Oh your mark...get set...ENGAGE!"
Was everything alright? That question was best left for Thornton to answer right now. "I think you're scaring Thornton," she whispered to the professor. Penelope was alright now, but when the activity started... she might not be.
They had to put on protective gear. Sweet solstice she was going to die.

Penelope watched Thornton hiding in the corner. After putting on her own protective gear, she grabbed a helmet and chest armor for Thornton. He was going to need it in this class, and Penelope did not want him to learn that the way she had.
The activity was starting now, so she was going to go hide in the corner with Thornton for the rest of class and hope that no stray planets or asteroids came their way. Watching out for any potentially dangerous asteroids, Penelope cautiously approached Thornton. "Thornton? You're going to need this." She held out the helmet and chest armor for him.
Sitting down next to Thornton, Penelope said, "You will learn how to do magic. That's why you're here at Hogwarts. Nobody arrives at Hogwarts knowing everything, and if you did, you wouldn't be here to learn. It might take a long time to learn some things, but you will get it, even if you need extra practice. Charms can be difficult to learn. Not getting it your first time does not mean that you have failed, it gives you an opportunity to learn. Many professors and older students are willing to help first years like you. All you have to do is give your best effort and ask for help if you need it. If you do that, you can be a great student, regardless of current magical ability." That might have been too much for Thornton to process. Penelope could get a little carried away with things sometimes. He sort of reminded her of how she had been in some of her classes last year.

Given the opportunity to practice he Locomotion Charm, Jasmine jumped at it. She readied her wand and pointed it at her planet saying, "Locomotor planet". Using her wand to guide the planet, she led the blue circle around and around. Before she knew it, Professor Flamsteed was explaining their next activity.
Oh this sounded like fun......a bit tricky, but fun. After hearing all the details, Jasmine went up to the boxes and and got her protective gear. Then she donned the chest armor and helmet, imagining that she looked like a hockey goalie. Once she was properly protected, Jasmine went to retrieve her planet. Now all she had to do was strategically place herself in a good spot.
This was going to require concentration, good planning and a bit of luck. Scanning the solar system, Jasmine fixed her eyes on the planet she would target. It was a red one. Sorry Gryffindor, but Ravenclaw needed some points. Raising her wand, Jasmine said"Locomotor planet". She watched as the blue orb was again under her control. Guiding it with her wand, she moved it toward one of the asteroids. Trying to time it just right, Jasmine gave her wand a firm downward flick. She watched as her planet knocked into a roaming asteroid and sent it careening into a red planet. It wasn't exactly the one she was aiming for, but it was a red planet nontheless. On impact, the planet burst into an explosion of red glitter and confetti. Yesssss. Now back to the drawing board.

Oooooh, now she could be like a knight AND a queen! Norah bounced over to the boxes and pulled on her protective gear, which happened to be a few sizes too large but that didn't matter 'cause this was COOOOOOL.
Taking her place on the outside of their solar system, Norah held her wand in a combative stance and pointed it at her planet. "Locomotor planet!!" she cried, flicking her wand in the direction of an astroid. The planet DID actually move this time, which was noted with a triumphant nod, but instead of flying in the direction of the asteroid to go DESTROY all the other lamebrain houses' planets, it went hurtling across the circle hitting absolutely nothing. This planet just didn't want to cooperate, did it.
With a frustrated huff of breath, Norah reset her position. HUFFLEPUFF FOR THE GOLD. She could do this!!
Oh, how we drift away from our friends. And the ones back home play remember when

Samantha flashed Jasmine a smile as she watched her fellow Ravenclaw destroy a red planet. Now it was Sam's turn. She aimed her wand at her blue planet and said, "Locomotor planet" whilst firmly flicking her wand downwards. Her blue planet hit a small asteroid which was then sent flying into a red planet which burst into a cascade of red glitter and confetti.

Maddie had been quite busy practicing the whole Locomotor Planet THING when Professor Flamsteed called for everyone's attention. By THAT point she'd managed to move her little orb in a semi-direct path, though like the best people, it still seemed to have its own opinions on where it should be going. Not much she could do about that now considering they were moving on.
The second year wandered up and collected her gear, wondering what they would be doing that'd require them to protect their heads and chests. She slipped the armor on first before donning the helmet like a crown and fastening it securely under her chin. All the while doing her best to follow the star man who'd gone off on another one of his long and drawn out rants. The man could talk, there was NO denying that. His words weren't as interesting as all the desks moving, though. Could he teach her THAT? Because she wouldn't mind doing some redecorating in her dorm room.
The little makeshift solar system was neat. Also the fact that they'd be trying to destroy other planets. She liked a challenge, Maddie did. She also liked destruction when it had a purpose and it seemed the purpose of this was destroy the other houses' planets. She could do that, little budding mastermind that she was.
After directions were given, Maddie focused on her orb. She'd gotten it to move before but now was a different story. This was a game and she wanted to win. Eyes narrowed, she said clearly, "Locomotor Planet!" And move it did, slowly but STILL.
As the brunette navigated the little ball in front of her, she kept watch on her targets. One that stood out was a particularly slow moving red planet and she figured she might as well give the whole flinging thing a shot using that as her focus. So after taking a little breath, Maddie gave a firm flick of her wand and watched as her little orb went hurling towards one of the gray objects, the one directly in line with the red planet she was aiming for.

Adi flashed the little Lion a thuumbs up. No harm done. Actually, it had been sort of exciting having a planet crash into him. Hehe. Maybe someone else would miss, too and he'd have another planetary accident? Maybe.
Anyway. He needed another yellow planet. Yes! Adi grabbed another bag of yellow sand. "Fingere Elementi!" Within moments there was another "planet" floating above his outstretched hand. Excellent! Now, which colour orb to target?
Angel went over to the box and got a red bag out... she was totally going to get the Ravenclaw for trying to destroy all the red.. it was her mission now to get even.
"Fingere Elementi!!!" Angel did the wand movement and created a red planet... could she cheat and hide this planet away from everyone like put it in another room so like the red team had one planet left always. The Professor wouldn't mind that right?

Explosions, glitter, and planets, OH MY. AJ was slightly shocked that the professor was going to let glitter explosions happen after the episode in his office last year. She had been apart of the clean up crew, so she KNEW how bad it was. Truth be told, AJ was a little sad that they couldn't be real explosions, but she got it. Student safety and all that jazz.
The lion tried REALLY hard to pay attention to everything that was being said, but her concentration was shot once he announced what they were doing. Helmets and armor... wicked. Once the discussion was done, AJ put the protective gear on, and decided without any doubt that she would be attacking. Was there really a choice? She had a perfectly good little red planet ready to attack.
She saw Adi get smacked by little Zeke. Hehe. Good thinking about the armor, Airey. Enough distractions. It was time to get Gryffindors the victory. Have no fear, Aubrey Valentine is here. She was in full concentration mode. AJ was in the zone. All she saw was a blue planet, and it was going to be hers. "Locomotor Planet!" Aim wasn't as issue for her because she was a natural at all things sport related. Her spell work on the other hand, while better, wasn't always that great. Would she hit it?
As a blue glitter explosion happened, AJ jumped up and down. She had managed for the first time EVER to get something right on the first time, and when it truly counted. Did anybody even notice? This was her proudest moment. Her little Gryffindor heart skipped a beat.

Jasmine was headed back to get a new blue bag when she saw Samantha pulverize another red planet. Giving her a thumbs up, she continued on her way. Retrieving a bag, Jasmine pointed her wand and said, "Fingere Elementi". Having created more ammunition, she was about to have her second try when she saw them.

Angel looked at her sister as she destroyed a blue planet. "Awesome AJ!" Angel beamed at her sister. She knew her sister would always have her back when it came down to things like this and Angel was totally happy about that.
"Locomotor planet" whilst firmly flicking her wand downwards. Angel then send her missile towards a Blue planet.. she was totally on the edge of her seat well she would be if she was sat down.
Angel watched as her missile hit the blue planet causing blue glitter and confetti to go everywhere. See people she wouldn't stop until all the blue planets were destroy. Maybe she should see them some terms of surrender? She wondered what the Professor would say if she send some to him telling him what would happen to the solar system if she didn't get what she wanted.

Why was he surrounded by girls?!?! Thornton took several deep shaky breaths as he realized that there were two people both offering him armor. WHICH TO PICK. WAS IT RUDE TO CHOOSE. PANIC.
Thornton grabbed the helmet from Penelope and jammed it on his head before grabbing the chest armor from Hady. THERE. One from each. The helmet was too big and so it covered his eyes, which he thought was perfect. He could just stay here with them and avoid all the asteroids and flying planet and glitter and all of that awful stuff.
"I guess," he mumbled in response to Penelope's assurance that he'd get it. He slid down the wall until he was seated on the floor. His breathing had slowed and the feeling of imminent suffocation had passed.
But then he could feel someone approach.

Thornton shook his head forcefully, the helmet moving at a slower pace than the rest of his head, so it bounced oddly on his head. This was not FUN. There was no way to have fun, because he could not participate. "I can't do the spells, so I can't participate," he muttered, the combination of the helmet and his downward glance completely obscuring his face.
He could feel his heart starting to beat faster. He was drawing attention to himself which was never the intention. His father has said goodbye with a "make me proud" and between what Thornton perceived as complete failure (even though it wasn't! Look at that lumpy planet and *almost* correct name tag) and the potentially horrible behavior he was exhibiting, he had failed on all counts.
Angel knew that she had to keep up on the Blue planets because well they were her targets but now she had to reload her weapon... Why couldn't they automatically reload. Seriously was there a spell for that it would make her job a lot easy.
Angel went and got another red bag. "Fingere Elementi." Angel then did the wand movement and smiled as it worked, she was locked on and ready to go. Seriously could someone count her down? like a rocket would be counted down to blast off that would make this so much more funnier. "This is amazing AJ." Angel said to her sister. "I want to play this game outside one day."

Thornton didn't say anything to her but that was alright he didn't have to. He did however take the chest armor from her and the helmet from another girl (Penelope) whom had come over as well. Hady kept a small smile on her face and gently laid a hand on Thornton's shoulder as she told him quietly. "If you ever need any help or maybe would just like to practice some spells together I'd be glad to. My names Hady by the way." There she'd introduced herself and offered to practice which would be good for them both. Dropping her hand to her side she turned to go join the others.
Just as she turned she heard another girl speak (Jasmine). Smiling at the older girl she gave a nod of her head making the bit to big helmet shake and fall down over her face once more. Pushing the helmet up again she walked off to put the extra helmet back in the box at the front of the room.
Once she returned the helmet she pulled out her wand and walked over to where her mini planet was still on her desk. It was time to get ready to start helping her housemates. Hady looked around checking out the different planets.

Okay, now she'd need another orb which meant she needed another one of those bag-o-sand things. And so the second year skirted around the students standing by her so that she could get to the box with said sand-bags in her house color. Selecting one that seemed larger than the others, she picked it out and brought it over to one of the empty desks nearby.
So now she just needed to concentrate and be confident and do this. Just like last time. Only she'd be successful right away and not have to do the spell over and over because she was Maddie and she knew she could. She'd done it before. Mhm!
With a jab of her wand towards the bag, she said determinedly "Fingere Elementi!"
Annnd...stare. Something was happening! Something. There was definite movement and shaping and Maddie's brown eyes widened as she watched the bag shift and form into something. Something that wasn't quite an orb but was round enough to be planet-like. A sort of oval-ish planet with a bit of a hump. Yeah.

Easy peasy, Grayson makes me queasy, Declan thought to himself as he guided his planet over towards where the Slytherin was sitting and bumped his face with planet Haze. BOOP!!! Hehehehehehe.
............... BUMP!
Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! What was this, HIT GRAYSON DAY? What had he even DONE, apart from channelling his inner love for villains and for being his generally awesome self? He didn't mind the bum whack so much -- might have even LIKED it -- but when the planet made contact with his face, THAT was when he had to put his foot down. Glaring ad gently rubbing his now pink cheek, the fifth year looked around for the culprit. Own up! STAND UP AND--
Flammy-o was talking.
Flammy-o was talking about EXPLODING PLANETS? FREAKING YES!
Forgetting all about the whacking, Grayson left his planet where it was and headed over towards the front of the classroom to put on the all important outfit. The chest armour was strapped on, and he even gave his chest the King Kong beating just to see how good it was. The helmet added to the epicness of it all, of course. It felt like he was ready to fight and become a GOOD super villain.
Dude was READY for this.
Heading back towards his spot and his planet, Whitty pulled out his wand and took a gooooooooooood aim at an orb!planet. ANY orb!planet that wasn't a green one. Which, looking around at it all, seemed to be the one quite a few people were hitting. Jeez. Rude, much?
Whatever. Target was locked. That blue one near some of the asteroids? Why? Because it was moving slooooooooooowly, meaning that the likelihood of him hitting the thing and destroying it was high, something that pleased the Slytherin greatly. "Locomotor planet!" he cried, flicking his wand in the direction of the blue planet over there. His own green planet went whoooooooshing, which Grayson navigated around the grey asteroids, and SMASHED into the blue planet.
It was more of a bump and a knock but really, smashing sounded MUCH better to the fifth year.
ANYWAYS. He watched with a smug expression on his face as the planet exploded and expelled...........
.................. Glitter? Glitter?! BLUE GLITTER?! WHAT?!
Angel was distracted at the minute for some reason she was a bit worried that maybe Benny wasn't going to do very well after the attempt at the first planet but well she'd have to wait and see what happened
"Locomotor planet!" Angel did the wand movement and then she slung the ball at a blue planet though this time it was completely off target.
O_____________o
"INCOMING!!" Angel warned everyone else. How had she got the line so wrong it shot past the blue planet by a mile.. "Guys watch out." Angel had no idea who or where it was heading but she hoped they would know she was really sorry about it.

Jasmine had caught the tail end of what Penelope said to Thornton. She was so proud of her with her encouraging words. Awwww, the student had become the teacher.
SPOILER!!: Thornton
Quote:
Turning her attention to Thornton, Jasmine could tell that he seemed a tad.......anxious. She smiled at him in a way that said "I hear ya and I understand because I've been there". "I'll tell you a secret. When I first went to a wizard school, I was terrible at spells. All the other kids were so much better than I was. I got so frustrated that I didn't want to try anymore......but you know what? One of the older students believed in me and he helped me. I practiced and practiced until I got better and the more I tried the spells, the easier they became." Jasmine was hoping that Thornton would relax a little. He looked so miserable in the corner.
"The most important thing I learned was that I had to relax and concentrate on what I wanted to do. It helps me to close my eyes, take a deep breath and try to ignore everyone else. Jasmine tried to look into Thorton's eyes, but they were partially hidden by the helmet. "I believe you can do it. I'll help you if you want, we all will. If you don't get it the first time, no biggie. You just keep trying until you do. So what do you say? Can we give it a try?" Jasmine looked at the boy hopefully.

Too bad the insides of the planets weren't filled with candy. Maddie would risk getting pelted by the asteroids to get some of THAT. She'd already gone through a lot of her candy supply and what with the whole having a family who never owled you, she needed to restock soon. Ye--
"ExCUSE me." She'd been struck! Right off the side of the helmet, for Merlin's sake! Didn't her classmates KNOW her brain was needed for ruling the world purposes? The brunette narrowed her eyes and looked over her shoulder, spotting the girl who clearly didn't know how to aim. It was GOOD for her, she s'posed, since it meant he girl probably wouldn't hit a lot of blue planets. STILL. "Valuable merchandise over here, yeah?"
MOVING on.
The brunette focused on her little misshapen blue blob and pointed her wand at it. "Locomotor planet!" And up it went. She directed it carefully in front of her as she moved to a new location, wanting to aim for a green planet this time. Luckily for her, she eventually found a spot and a green planet that would work perfectly. WELL, considering her aim was better than that Gryffindor girl's.
Eyes on the target and on the two asteroids closest to it, Maddie decided to go for the asteroid on the right. It'd give her an easier shot and the angle meant that if she hit the asteroid perfectly, the asteroid would have NO problem destroying the green planet.
With a flick of her wand, Maddie sent her little blue ball flying towards that asteroid and when it made contact, she smirked. It was only a second or two later when that same asteroid bumped the green ball and caused it to explode.

Kyroh squinted as he rubbed at his forehead. There was explosions and planets and yelling going on all around him, y'know the basic stuff that he generally liked, but everything going on just made him more confused. Beanbags weren't really planets, and they didn't really look like them. Plus there weren't that many planets anyways. But if it was all just a game then it was like pretend right?
He honestly didn't know.
He had been trying to figure out the notes and planet information while everyone was MAKING the planets.
Running over he grabbed one of the vest-thingy and helmets. The chest armour was way to big on him and Kyroh just giggled at the silliness of it all, before pulling the helmet over his head. He was SET! Like a gladiator or something.
Reaching for one of the sandbag things he watched Maddie FIRST (and then clapped because GOOD job Maddie!) before jabbing his wand at his blue sand bag. "Fingere Elementi!" Nothing. He jabbed his wand at it again, CONCENTRATING "Fingere Elementi!" The bag slowly began to rise and change shape before a near perfect, slightly lumpy sphere was in his hand.
Wicked.

Hady spotted a slower moving yellow plant and decided that was the one she'd aim for. The small Slytherin stood near one of the older boys in her house whom had just destroyed a blue planet (Grayson).
She could do that. Pointing her wand at her blue planet she spoke the spell clearly. "Locomotor planet." Her planet hovered a little before following the direction of her wand movements.
Now to aim. Hady watched the yellow planet a moment before flicking her wand downwards. Her planet sailed through the air just missing the one she'd aimed for but smashing into a red one!
Seeing the red glitter and confetti she smiled at her not so bad attempt. Sure it wasn't the correct targeted planet but she had still got one. So success!

Thornton lifted the helmet up a bit to be able to look at Jasmine. His eyes were shiny as if he'd been crying, but there were no visible tears. Mostly, they were just watering from squeezing them so tight.
The prefect had had trouble with spells? Thornton had imagined that to be someone that important that they would have always been good at their spellwork. But relaxation? That just wasn't going to happen right now.
Thornton looked at Penelope while he considered Jasmine's offer. "Can... can we try to make the planets back here instead of going over there...?" Into the fray, as it were. "I.. I don't want them to see me mess up." His voice was low, and sad. He was so confident when his schoolwork didn't involve his wand, but as soon as he hand to hold it, his confidence crumbled.
He was 1000% sure he wouldn't be able to do the locomotor charm and the idea of his planet exploding all over him in full view of the class was more than he could bear.
Planet explosion? This was like one of those cool arcade games! Like space destroyer, only more awesome. Yes, yes, yes! This was officially Ophelia's favorite class. What other class allowed planetary billiards? Umm, none, that was the class. But first up armor. She should probably grab that and place it on her short body.
The good thing was, armor meant the activity was at least slightly dangerous. Because nobody put armor on to bake a cake or knit. So maybe planetary explosion would be really cool and dangerous? Because that completely appealed to her. COMPLETELY. The kid was all about that dangerous life, like staying up late on school nights, and hiding candy in her suitcase even though her mom hated the kids to eat it. So dangerous.
..........
Okay, so maybe the firstie was a bit of a wimp, but she could climb trees like a monkey mutant and run around like she was about to win the Hunger Games. So that counted for something, right? Hopefully. Pulling her wavy hair out from the armor, Ophelia got ready for the activity, smiling and watching first to try and get the hang of it. Normally, the child would jump right in, but after the mistake with the sand, her brown eyes were locked on the older students for a couple of seconds. Always good to watch and learn, right?
Also, giant armor was giant. Maybe Ophelia would have been an awful gladiator, with ill-fitting armor that would get her speared in seconds. Sad child was sad. But still, planetary bean bag/battleship was always a great thing. Even the sound of it was just awesome. Like a kids game from really long ago that got discontinued because of being too dangerous. Hence the armor.

Now Adi was prepared to launch his next attack. A Gryffindor orb was going to be his next target. Yes! Just because his two besties belonged to that House didn't mean he wouldn't attaaaaack! Cue the evil laughter! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! This activity was making him hyper, wasn't it? Oh well. He was having fun. Hehe.
"Locomotor planet!" The Puffer's yellow planet was all set to launch. Ready...aim...FIRE! He flicked his wand in the direction of the targeted orb. His planet shot off and crashed into asteroid which hit the red orb. Look at the glittery stuff fall! And the confetti too.
Spotting a green planet out of the corner of her left eye, Ophelia went right for that one. No reason in particular, just because she saw it first and it was there. Now hopefully the firstie would finally complete the spell right and be able to play this game. What was the spell again?
Okay, locomoter planet. Probably should do some practice first so that it didn't get too crazy. Having a blue planet speed around the classroom didn't seem too beneficial to the cause. Or any cause, really. Actually, it just sounded awful. So with two big breaths, Ophelia began practicing quickly.
"Locomotor planet." Good. One more time and then she would begin her planetary destruction! Woooow, the firstie was too happy about this. She might need a nap or something after this was done. This activity was riling the girl up a little. One more practice, yeah? That sounded good.
"Locomotor planet!" Goooood. It was time young grasshopper. Yeah, this kid needed to calm down a little, but it was all fine, as long as nothing got destroyed or as long as everyone ended up fine at the end. The child was eleven, she could calm herself down.
But now came the actual moment. The moment when she looked at the thing and did the spell. Shutting her deep brown eyes for a second and taking a deep breath, Ophelia raised her wand again and pointed it at the planet she was so ready to hurl.
"Locomoter planet!" Look at that thing go towards the green orb and..... miss. Great, she missed. Poo. That wasn't helping anything. Oh well, guess this was the THIRD thing she would have to make. This activity was a bit harder than she thought.... oh well, she still got to destroy stuff, so that was fun.
