It was good that Abbi was doing well, though Lux wondered why the girl was looking at the gate that way. Was she tired or something? With all the old people in the school these days, it was no surprise that sometimes people drifted off into space or fell asleep.

"I'm good too. I was just wishing I could go to Hogsmeade and get some candy." Trying to will the gates open hadn't worked, however. "Oh, have you seen Lucas around?" Lux missed him and wanted to hang out with him. Abbi was in the same House as Lucas, and was friends with him too so maybe she would know...

So thats why she had been looking at the gate so longingly? Well Lux did not have to fear because guess who had some candy as of now? Abbi did. Mhhm. She always kept some on her, it was a thing both her and Donny kept to when they could. Around there mothers sugar obtaining was just a little difficult, but here the candy was limitless.

"There you go." She handed over some red vines and a sugar quill as for herself she popped some gum in her mouth and began chewing.

HUGE COUGH.

Lucas. Cough. Cough. Cough. Okay she was totally okay. Mhhm. "Oh...him..your best friend." Very unnatural acting. "He was..in the common room reading on his OWN yesterday." The own was screamed to emphasis it, not that, that was the case because she for sure knew he was far from alone then.

Oooh, candy!

Eyes widening, Lux happily took the red vines and sugar quills from Abbi. "Thank you. I'll pay you back later." Probably in the form of Chocolate Frogs, since everyone besides Charlie loved them. Charlie was just strange in that way.

"Yes, him." Looking at Abbi funny, Lux was wondering what was going on with the girl and why she was screaming. "Okay, so he was reading alone." She would have understood that without having the word screamed at her.

Leah started to calm down a bit when the girl did not freak out and start screaming, like she would if she broke a bone or something. "Oh, I.. I'm okay, I mean, I was just shocked. Witnessing people get hurt is not really interesting, but thank god you're not hurt." Leah said, grinning a bit. Accio. That was another spell the little girl had to master.

Leah dropped her hand awkwardly. Bruises are not bad? That was a tough girl then. "Could you teach me how to do that? The back handsprings?" It seemed really fun and being able to do things many others cannot do was part of the fun. "By the way, my name's Leah. I don't think I've introduced myself. First year Hufflepuff." Becoming a second-year soon though.

Nod, nod.

Hopefully that payment would be sweets, cause Abbi didn't really need money in any case. Like what would she do with that other than buy more sweets anyways? Exactly her point. "Cooool girl." She gave Lux a quick thumb up and smiled.

GOOD. She got it, the alone part cause she didn't want Lux thinking anything, you know. Like she didn't want her thinking she'd gotten cooties or was crazy or anything like that about Lucas, not yet anyways. "I'm sure you'll find him soon." he obviously had to be somewhere around the school. "You're best friends surely he'd look for you." Why wouldn't he? Abbi always looked for Donny.

Whooo, they had a deal! BEAM.

Lux returned the thumbs up to Abbi after stuffing some of the candy into her pockets. She had left out a few red vines and some sugar quills, and quickly ate one of the quills. Yummy.

Swallowing, she nodded along to what Abbi was saying. Of course she would find him soon because really it would be awful if she never saw him again... It would make her sad and cry and... he was her best friend, so he was SUPPOSED to see her. She saw lots of Bay and her other friends. And Bay.

"He's all OLD now, Abbi. What if he falls and breaks a hip or something?" GASP.

Good, Lux seemed to be liking the candy. Smiley wiley....cept not for long.

The old thing was brought up, that strange epidemic the whole of Hogwarts, or most of Hogwarts was attacked by. Why did Lucas have to have it, WHY? It put him in danger and come to think of it Abbi wondered how she had ever let him out her sight when he could do exactly as Lux said at any minute.

Gosh the horrors.

"He won't fall. He just better be clever enough to stay lying down." Like in her secret fort or something. "Do you think the oldness will go away? It really breaks my--I mean upsets me that he's so old like that." That was basically Abbi's equivalent of I AM FREAKING WORRIED ABOUT HIM WILL HE BE FINE? HES NOT GOING TO DIE RIGHT. ...Well...then.

The clear worry on Abbi's face made Lux pout because... well, she was worried about Lucas too! "I really hope it will. I want Lucas to be okay! I want him to be my healthy best friend again. And I've been scared that Bay might DIE." Bay was not allowed to die, he had reassured her that he wouldn't die. He wouldn't break his promise to her, just like she wouldn't break hers to him.

Nope. Nope. Nope.

HE WAS NOT ALLOWED TO DIE.

Had she just said DIE? WHUT? NO. That couldn't happen to oldy TEENAGERS. They were so young, nooooooo. That was just beyond crazy if it were to really happen. What kind of a school would allow that, what? Hogwarts needed to work an a cure faster, however they could do that.

"He won't die." She shook her head, sounding her confident self. "Come on, this wizards and witches have MAGIC. Surely there's something that can be done."

Magic was always the answer to everything in the little fairies case.

Of course Abbi had a great point, since magic was involved and magic could do a lot of great things... but Lux was still a little hesitant. "That's true, I just wonder why it's taking so long for them to cure it." The adults had been trying to figure things out for more than a few months now, surely they should have the solution by now. She had even offered to go for testing since she was one of the lucky few who was immune. "I'm just going to hold on to the fact that he told me he isn't going anywhere and he wouldn't lie to me." Nod.

Point taken. Time. Was taking them pretty long, but maybe they wanted to get something ABSOLUTELY perfect. Like how would she know? She was no professional in cures if anything she'd be the kind of person to create the mess and giggle about it, just not when it got this out of hand.

"Perfeccction! That's probably why." she nodded confidently and then frowned a little, which was big, because Abbi didn't frown easy. "He's not though, It'll be okay. It will. Like in the fairytales." Good ALWAYS won, and thats how the youngling thought it should always be.

Perfection? Was it really as simple as that?

Biting her lip, Lux thought about it. Maybe Abbi was right, and the Healers didn't want to announce the cure and distribute it until everything was perfect. Because sometimes there were mishaps and that was something that should be avoided as much as possible. Yes, it could be that. It made Lux feel relieved. "They will have the cure by the end of the school year. Everyone will be okay." No one else would get hurt, and no one would die.

"I like fairy tales. Yes, he will be okay." Smiling, she thought about how whenever someone in those stories was in a hopeless situation, they were saved. Like Sleeping Beauty from the Muggle Studies lesson. She was saved by true loves kiss when she was supposed to sleep for a hundred years.
