The Hogwarts Express DOES have a place for all your things, you know, so you don't have to drag them into an already-crowded compartment. Store your school trunk, your broom, your owl, and whatever else you brought with you to school in this, the caboose of the train.
Then scoot scoot to another compartment. This one's taken by the trunks.
Forrest had a minor difficulty with getting her bag on board, but he managed it in the end and walked ahead of her to the luggage compartment. It was hard to bounce while carrying a bag, so he hurried to secure it in the compartment. He had been sad until Bristol came--now he was bouncy and excited for Hogwarts. She had that effect on him. He was grateful for that. Actually, he figured meeting her was one of the most fortunate moments of his life.
Anyways, being sentimental aside, he was in the luggage compartment in a minute because luckily it was right next to the entrance of the train, and put down her bag next to his.
"This is the luggage compartment," he explained as if it wasn't obvious, and went on securing her bag. "But I'm guessing you should..," his sound trembled slightly and he clenched his fists, "take your... pets with you." Because f-animal or not, it was still a living thing and he wasn't going to torture it by leaving it here.

WOW. If she'd thought the train looked amazing from the outside, she now thought that it looked even BETTER from the inside. And this was just the luggage compartment. Bristol couldn't WAIT to explore the rest of the train with her best friend and see all the wonders and delights it held. C'moooon, Forrest. I wants to explore, she thought watching him eagerly as he secured her bag.
"Cool. Very ... luggagy."
It didn't take long for him to secure her bag, thankfully and then it was her turn to put her stuffs away. Then he mentioned her pets and she paused what she was doing and glanced up to look him in the eye. "Are you sure? I mean ... I could just leave them with treats? I don't want to make you uncomfortable," she whispered, while securing her second small trunk. What if he got too uncomfortable and itchy and decided he didn't want to be her best friend anymore? She didn't want that.

Forrest laughed at her 'luggagy' comment, and turned to face her as she looked into his eyes. He couldn't hold her gaze for long however, and just fidgeted uncomfortably. He resolved to chain his fingers together in the end and kept them firmly away from his neck, which was still faintly red.
"Y--yeah, I'm sure." He nodded as firmly as he could, and after a second's hesitation, walked past her to out of the compartment. He was only silent because he wanted to concentrate on not scratching again. Or else, she was still his BFF.

She was coming WITH her pets, yes?
See. That's right, Forrest. Laugh and don't think of my evil none-furry terror - that she still loved. She noticed that he still locked his fingers together and she felt guilty. Honestly, she didn't want him to be like this for the whole train ride. That would be horrible for him. But he was still right; she couldn't just leave her pets here, especially since she'd promise her daddy that she'd take good care of them. Good care didn't mean leaving them for a long journey alone in a not-that-dark dark place.
"Okay," she said slowly, before warning him, "if you start scratching, I WILL be forced to take immediate action." That didn't mean throwing Ack out of a widow, it mean holding his hands. So, yes, he'd been warned. That was assuming he had a problem with that, if he didn't then her 'threat' was pretty meaningless. "Where shall we go then?" She asked, following him out of the compartment.
For now, there were just going to wander the corridor.
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Adi was having a bit of trouble stashing his luggage. It was so heavy! Who knew all those text books and other stuff would weigh so much? Panting slightly, he tried to heave it into the corner, around two other chatting students.
Why wasn't there someone to help with these luggage? Finally, he managed to get it into a corner. Adi straightened up and wiped sweat from his forehead with the back of his left hand. Whew! He should go find a compartment now. He had already turned to go when he suddenly remembered something. He had packed a book for the trip! You know, so he wouldn't get bored. Adi turned back to the trunk and sifted through it's contents looking for the book.
Aidan purposefully arrived late. He wanted to avoid those pumped up with sugar. ONE pumped up with sugar. So he figured that she'd probably be one of the early comers and he'd be safe slipping on the train five minutes before it departed.
First, however, he had to put his trunk somewhere. He didn't bother walking too far into this compartment, trying to save time. He dropped it a few feet in, and gave it an extra shove with his foot.

Alexa was in a bit of a fix. After her kneazle's latest disappearing act, she wasn't sure whether or not she was meant to stick his butt in his cage and leave him with her luggage like she was MEANT to or continue giving him the privilege of riding to school in her lap like he was used to.
...
He seemed apologetic enough...and she didn't want to be attacked when they hit the Hogsmeade station so...no cage this time--but next time, she'd put her foot down. Mhm and so she shuffled over to the compartment awkwardly trying to balance a kneazle the cage and her trunk. It was harder than it looked, OKAY? Felix shuffling around in her hands caused her to look around. Something had unsettled him--"AIDAN!" Without thinking too much about it because why would she, things were normal, perfectly normal, remember Aidan? she grinned and dropped everything but her kneazle in favour of hopping over to him.
"Never saw you on the platform. Never saw much of anyone actual, Felix had me crawling around on the floor looking for him." He didn't look so good, maybe he was sick? That was the only explanation she'd think of anyway"Have you already found somewhere to sit? I wanted to go looking for Cassia or Lottie but figured I'd drop these off first."Perfectly Normal Stone. Now you try.

He knew that voice.
Crud.
A shade of red started to creep up his neck from below his shirt collar, and over the tips of his ears. For Merlin's sake, the LAST, absolute LAST person he wanted to run into had to be right there. Worse still, she had to blabber on like NOTHING happened. Just like she said she would. UGH. It was creepy. Was she thinking things about him? Did she have butterflies? If he looked at her, would she mistake that for flirting?
Aidan didn't look up at her. "Why don't you go find them, then?" he asked, jaw clenching shortly after.

Blushing. Blushing was happening and Alexa Cambridge was NOT going to be pointing it out this time. Merlin's beard, how unnatural. She bit her lip, deciding it best not to say anything about it because even if she wouldn't admit it, it was probably her fault. Or not. He could read. He should be able to follow instructions. Wasn't she being a SHINING example?????
She jutted her jaw and gave a moments pause, trying to think of only nice things to say. "I get the feeling you didn't listen to a thing I said earlier. I can't find either of them and decided to drop off my luggage." And see how civil she was being about it? How NORMAL and NOT LIKE YOU??? Were it not for the fact that she was so brilliant with pretending she would have legit called him out on it, but again, nothing happened sooooo...
"I don't mind running into you though. Did you pack that thing like I asked? Whatever that thing is? Did you get me that thing?" That last question was probably the most important considering things that didn't happen.

This was tiring. Phewwww. Too much clothing in that trunk of hers, which of course Abbi all needed because it was all FAIRY clothing and that was very, very important. Especially the wings. Mhhhm.
After walking along the corridor for quit some time, Abbi had managed to find the perfect compartment to place her things. It was filled with luggage and therefore she assumed it to be the luggage dump. So plonk. She put her trunk down.
Hisssss. Hissss.
The eleven year old turned to her cat Whiskers. "Why are you hissing Mr?" she lifted him up and gave him a pat. "Its the owls isn't it?" Clever fairies were clever, you know. "Don't worry. Fairy Abbi is here." BEAAAM.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
This was the best possible way to get to Hogwarts. None of those Portkeys, Apparating , or the Floo Powder ESPECIALLY the Floo Powder. He didn't like Magical Travel, he wouldn't mind taking flight with his broom, but Train Rides always felt great.Sleeping in the Luggage Compartment seemed like the best possible idea for Tiberius to do. kids would just drop their luggage off and be on their way. INSTEAD these ones were dawdling about talking with one another. Not leaving him in peace, had they not noticed his presence in the far dark corner where he was trying to sleep...Oh! Oh well sleeping in dark corners didn't make him very visible. Duh Tiberius! Peeking his head out of the corner, Tiberius looked at each of the kids still in here, and not in the Train Corridor where they should hurry up and go. He rubbed his face a bit as he was still very tired, his eyes still very droopy from his first nap on the Train. "You all gonna just ride in here for the rest of the trip?" He finally spoke to the kids in the compartment. "Make space if you are, I'll be trying to catch some shut eye." With that Tiberius slipped back into his dark corner, and closed his eyes. That should get them moving.

She didn't get the hint, did she? He didn't want to talk to her. He didn't want to be in the same ROOM as her, much less a cramped, trunk-filled, train compartment.
He rounded on her and met her gaze, "It's a train. They've got to be somewhere. Look for them." For. Merlin's. Sake. And of course she was dropping off her luggage. That was bloody obvious given it was the luggage compartment and everyone had to drop their stuff here. Honestly. And they all called him oblivious.
Aidan swept past her to leave and go find a seat in the unpopulated part of the train where Lex most likely wouldn't bother searching for him, when she brought up that. And that made him pause because he did pack her a thing. Beforehand. He forgot he put it in there and...well, he hadn't taken it out, so it must still be there.
"Enlighten me. Why would I pack you something? Why would you ask me to pack you something?" So she could have a 'gift' from him? Make herself feel special? Show it off to her friends and go, 'Look what Aidan got me!'?

Still not looking at her? That was fiiiiine. Lex back tracked a bit to get her things and hauled them into the compartment. That was why she was originally here anyway. No comment yet about the RUDE Ravenclaw that she would give a piece of her mind or her wand if this continued even after they got to school.
Trunk and everything down, kneazle settled again she raised an eyebrow at him. OF COURSE it was a TRAIN. She KNEW that thanks! "I'm bloody well aware of that and I do plan to go looking for them once I'm done here but I ran into you and thought I could say two words." Granted she'd said far more than two but really...he was starting to annoy her. -__-
dhfskvkfhsdg!! And he's LEAVING?? SERIOUSLYYY?? She felt her eye twitch and was one move away from throwing her kneazle at him but see, he stopped and turned to look at her. Actual eye contact and he hadn't dropped dead. Remarkably, wasn't it?
"I would have thought that was obvious." She said, making a face at him. "You would pack me something because I'm your friend and I asked you to. I would ask for something because I CAN." It didn't get anymore complicated than that, except he was making it complicated and annoying and she quite frankly didn't have the tolerance level for this. "Now enlighten me, WHY are you making such a big deal of everything?"

Where was the book?! Had he forgotten to pack it! Noooo! Adi couldn't bear to think of the long train ride without anything to do. And he certainly did not plan to read his text books. Not now anyway. He unpacked a set of the new books onto the floor and continued to rummage around his trunk. He paid no heed to the chatter all around him until someone mentioned something about sleep. Someone was gonna try to catch some Z's in here?!
Adi turned and cast an amused eye to the person. And was surprised. It wasn't a student. Who could it be? Did adults normally take the train too? "Hallo!'' Adi greeted the man enthusiastically. He had not met much adult wizarding folks. And those that he did meet fascinated him. Like that man at Ollivanders. "Won't it be better if you get sleep in one of the compartments or something? Students are gonna be trekking in here a lot, I should think.''
It was fairly obvious that Lotus Acacia Wisteria would be leaving her luggage in HERE, especially after ALL the time she spent not packing. So, this would be as quick as the entire hour she actually spent packing. Only she needed to remind not to place Mags in there because that would be inconvenient on both ends.
Except... there were voices. Loud voices. Familiar voices. OH, GREAT.

By the time she stepped inside, that was all she heard, so she was incredibly lost as to what Lex was referring to. It couldn't be candy, because the question would be 'Why AREN'T you making a big deal of everything?'. Of course, she knew the answer to Lex's question. Ravenclaws. It should be OBVIOUS, Lex. They make a big deal out of everything.
But as much as she DIDN'T want to interrupt, she wasn't going to spend the entire train ride with her luggage. "Heeeey guuuys," awkward much? So, she (very politely) walked between them, half expecting Aidan to help with her luggage and not at all disappointed when he didn't offer help, "Excuse me." Mmmhmm, she was leaving her luggage and letting them be.
Charlie was done lugging his trunk. What was the point of magic if it couldn't carry his trunk? Not that he knew a spell to carry his trunk but there had to be one. His trunk was heavy. It was probably because of all those books he probably wouldn't need. He wasn't going to do flying, because his mother wouldn't want him to.
He pat his pocket checking Fred was still in there. Yep. He felt the flobberworm's body squidge against his hand.
He leant against his trunk for a moment while taking a breather, he had to lug it a little further. Onto a rack to store it for the majorly long journey.

Stare. "You just said you couldn't find them! And you thought wrong," Aidan huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. So Lex could go look for them again. And leave him alone. And he can go back to avoiding everything. At least now Lex was aware of what Aidan knew all along - they couldn't just pretend everything was okay.
He took an hand to rub the nape of his neck and through his hair before placing his arms back across each other. Now they were getting to the important stuff. "But WHY would you want something from me? Just SAY it." The reason. The inevitable reason they all knew. The bloody elephant in the train car.
WHY was he making such a big deal out of everything? HE wasn't doing a bloody thing. He was perfectly okay with life and excited to go back to school and see his friends and see HER, but she had to ruin it! Aidan opened his mouth to retort, but someone else had entered.
Immediately, he tried to act cool. He kept his arms crossed, but relaxed them, leaned back against the wall, and tried to relax the muscles on his face.
All of that relaxing wasted, though, by who entered. The world was against him over the past 24 hours, wasn't it? He didn't waste a beat watching Lottie being oh-so polite before his tenseness was back and he was snapping at her. "So does EVERYONE know about Penelope?!" Real cool of you, Lotus. Desiree grinned. She finally could escape and go to Hogwarts. The luggage part was nice, she supposed. But it wasn't what she was excited about. There was so much more to come. She maneuvered her way around other students and then dropped off her stuff. She quickly walked out and went to find a seat on the train.

"I can't find them because I haven't gone looking but haven't run into them either. Stop being so technical about it why don't you?" She was this close to simply blowing up at him for CLEARLY not taking it seriously and FORGETTING like she wanted him too. Maybe she was being unreasonable but at the moment she didn't really CARE.
Why would she want something from him?
"Say what?? What is it exactly that you WANT me saying because I've pretty much gotten out everything I want to say." Was he expecting some kind of undying declaration of sorts? Maybe her throwing herself at him, attacking his face with kisses? Well guess WHAT. Not. Gonna. Bloody HAPPEN. "I didn't think there was anything wrong with wanting something from a friend. I asked you on a whim NOT for other reasons you might stupidly be thinking." GEDDIT?????????
Someone else showing up saved him from getting the other half of her mind. That person might have gotten it instead but it was Lottie! Thank merlin, someone who wouldn't be GLARING AT HER FOR NO REASON. Forcing a smile was out of the question so she simply nodded at her before Aidan asked THAT. hdfgvksdhgg. "You're not exactly SUBTLE about it you know." No blaming the best friend for anything, thanks.
Fixing her features a bit, she turned to Lottie. "I was coming to look for you."

What a great 'friend'.

Fixing her features a bit, she turned to Lottie. "I was coming to look for you."
Yeah, this was awkward. Lottie felt she was really interrupting things and this was the first time she actually minded. The air was incredibly tense but that was expected. It was rather creepy to hear silence while she worked her way around the compartment, in all fairness. But done. And Lottie was free to go now that her luggage was in place and she'd made sure no one, we repeat, NO ONE would place something on top of it, yes?
NO.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?! Well, Aidan, EVERYONE knows now that you've ANNOUNCED it to the luggage compartment. She GASPED at Aidan Stone, maybe a little dramatic, but who CARES? "I do not like what YOU are implying, Stone." She does not approve. Nope. When had she approved of Aidan, though? And sure, she had no explanations for him. "I told no one, FYI. It's not my fault you're so OBVIOUS." It wasn't his fault Lottie was relatively good at catching this sort of things, sometimes. But he'd been fairly obvious so far. Arms crossed, she did say one more thing. "I'd keep my voice down if I don't want anyone else to find out." She was close to whispering this time, though.
Her eyes went to Lex next and she gave her BEST FRIEND a smile. "I guess I found you."
Red carried her trunk to the luggage compartment, it wasn't heavy, not for her, she was surprisingly strong for her age and small stature. She put it and her owl inside, then taking her small bag with her notepads and pens with her, went in search of an empty compartment.
Tobias decided it was probably best to stop at the luggage compartment and check on his trunk and things before finding a seat. He was in no rush to find somewhere to sit; the train being completely full was not all that likely, after all.
He'd just finished moving a few of his belongings in between his trunk and backpack and had straightened up, ready to leave, when he heard a voice.
The voice itself wasn't what made Toby stop, but it was more what it was saying.
He turned around and looked around the surprisingly busy compartment before his gaze fell on the person who seemed close enough to have made the sound.
"You're a FAIRY?!" the Hufflepuff said to the girl, eyes wide. Like was she KIDDING or was she like, mixed blood or something? 'Cause that was cool.
And if she WASN'T actually a fairy then she definitely had an imagination, and that was what Tobias LOVED experiencing. "Do you have wings?!" HE'D ALWAYS WANTED WINGS.
There was some sort of commotion nearby, but Tobias ignored it for the time being. 'Cause, you know, fairy talk over here.

"Of course!" Aidan spit back, "Because you don't WANT to admit writing a two-bloody-page long letter about your feelings and act like everything's perfectly NORMAL!" THERE. THAT was what he wanted her to say. "But you're right, there's nothing wrong with asking for things between freinds. But you had to go change that status, didn't you?" To 'it's complicated'. Ugh. Complicated was the word all right. To describe the situation. To describe GIRLS. "I'm not stupid for thinking it when I have proof right on paper!!"
His jaw clenched again as he looked back and forth between the two girls. "I was NOT obvious. You," eyes on Lottie, "were the only one who knew. What's obvious is that you couldn't keep your bloody mouth shut because you had something on me."

Even Lottie was clarifying that Aidan was just too obvious for his own good. Did he think NO ONE would notice when all he did was fangirl Penelope? That's what he did in case no one else noticed. It wasn't their fault he wasn't more subtle, this coming from her was saying a lot.
For a moment there was a small smile on her face. Lottie HAD found her. Things would only get better now. It was nice how Lottie would raise her sinking mood. Merlin knew she needed it when--...
....
.____________.
There was a bright shade of red crawling over her face, wasting no time in stretching to her ears and running down her neck. This was probably the first time in merlin knows how long that Alexa Cambridge actually, legit, BLUSHED. Her mouth fell open but no words were coming out. She was still MORTIFIED at the fact that he would actually bring that up in a compartment that had other people coming and going. If she could go through the wall of the compartment she would. Single most embarrassing day ever was happening right now and because of him nonetheless.
It wasn't until he said the next thing that she finally found her voice. "I made things complicated?" SO WHAT if her voice cracked a bit, rest assured she wasn't about to cry. "YOU made things complicated!" But before she could say more he brought up the letter again and if possible she'd gone even redder. CouldSheGoHomeNow? >__<
HOLD ON! Yelling at Lottie for HIS mistake??? How about noooo?
"You were very obvious! You'd be surprized at how many people I've heard SAY IT because it's TRUE! You're her biggest fan probably."
Also, if a kind old dark wizard wanted to come in and oh we don't know, use Avada Kedavra on her, she wouldn't mind one bit. Just putting that out there.
