The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is the portrait of the delightful Fat Lady, and in order to gain entrance to their home away from home, Lions must know the password and speak it to her.
This terms password is ‘Flibbertigibbet’.
Be sure to remember those words...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you to enter Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to scramble through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs and tables. To the side of the common room you will find the study tables and bookshelves which are equipped with the resources and materials required to complete any homework assignments. Fixed to the wall by the windows you will find the noticeboard for classes and other school announcements.
A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one side of the wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes. If however you are in need of a nap a good night's rest then there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. Be sure you don’t go breaking any of the rules by attempting to go up the wrong staircases. Boys don’t stand a chance of beating the enchanted staircase, and frankly girls should know better.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect or your Head of House lurking in the shadows.

When Alice had given Tag the bat he had no clue what to do with it. Alice had even got him a pillow, for him to practice with by using the bat. So every now and then he carried the pillow and bat with him, but rarely ever used it. Most random present he'd ever gotten. "Seeker of course." Tag said, smiling knowingly. No one could take that spot from Penelope. "Yeah, I'm really ready for try outs. And you'll crush it hard, for sure, I know that." Cause Penelope was the best.
Tag laughed when Penelope said she wasn't scared of him or his bat. He figured. The boy wasn't scary in any way. Now that he thought of it, when he first knew Penelope she sorta scared him. "Yeah, you shouldn't be scared of me or my bat. That's a smart thing. Innocent as a kitten."
By the way, where was Spot?
Penelope nodded and grinned. "Obviously Seeker." It was the only Quidditch position she wanted to play - at least when on the house team. If it was for fun, kinda like the Students vs. Staff game last term, she was fine with trying out the other positions. But Seeker was her favorite, especially since she knew she was actually good at it. She still had to practice to stay good and get better, of course, but she wasn't talentless, which was good. "And I think you'll be the one doing the crushing," she teased. Y'know, 'cause he had a bat and could crush things with it during tryouts. Like bludgers.
And yeah, she definitely wasn't scared of his bat. But even though she wasn't, people on the other teams should be. "Just don't let the other teams know that," she replied, still teasing a little. Besides, kittens weren't always innocent anyway. Spot, at least, had always been able to get herself in and out of trouble when she wanted to.

"The one and only best Seeker the lions have ever seen!" A boost? Maybe? But Penelope most likely already had a lot of that in her. Crushing was definitely a part of the beater position. If he got it. And so Tag smiled a bit at that, "Crushing is always good. Especially for quidditch."
"That I have a bat? Oh, no. Of course not. That's all a secret. Keeping it quiet." Tag said with an evil smirk. Imagine the faces on people once they realized and saw that Tag had a bat on him and could be dangerous. No one would expect such a harmless guy like him to even have a bat. Thanks Biter! Yes, kittens were innocent, Penelope. Tag had even told himself that too, just a day or so ago.
You have bewitched me body and soul, And I love- I love- I love you
Mack climbed through the portrait hole, and looked around. sigh Home, finally.
Slowly the third year walked around, running her fingers along the tables, bookcases, the edge of the window sills. It was her safe haven and she was there for seven months.
This term she was determined to focus more on her studies so she had decided not to play quidditch. As much as she already missed the pitch she knew it was for the best and the that Alice and the others would understand.
Mackenzie's eyes drifted to the staircase, she thought of Ronnie, and wondered how she was doing. Mentally she made a not to owl her to see how she is.
FLOP! the blonde flopped down into an armchair and for the first time in months relaxed.
With her small teeth Abbi chewed on her sweet, delicious tasting red vines. She was perfectly happy just the way everything was. So happy in fact that it was barely on her mind where her Whiskers had gone. He was probably sleeping though, he did that often. She'd find him later cause now she was having her candy moment.
Om nom nom nom. Om nom--
She paused her biting to look up as one of the taller people from the feast came by to pick up a different kind of looking cat that Abbi had never seen before. A comment was made, one the strawberry blonde was slightly confused about. Did she mean interesting in a good or bad way? Pshht. Had to be good. "Thank you!" She gave the girl a beam. To share the candy or not? Cause you know she could totally finish it all on her own.
Manners though. Oh well. Some sharing wouldn't hurt ....too much. "Do you want one?" ONE. Did you hear that? Not more than that.
Would you look at that? Someone HER age and not so tall. He got extra beams, till he kept on coming closer and closer. COOTIES. He was going to give her ---Phew. He hadn't touched her...yet.
"You're a firstie like me!" Her beam came back on. "I'm Abbi...and please don't give me cooties." Next thing he'd be hugging her or something and she'd freak. NOOOT HAPPENING NOPE NOPE.
“Dude.” Was the first thought Jayden had when Abbi – at least that’s what he heard – said the word cooties. And he was just about to hi five her when she said that she was a first year too. Ain’t happenin’ now.
But being taught how to be polite since young, he decided to smile and be nice. “Yeaaaahhh… HAHA… Abbi was it? You do know that cooties is just a fictional disease right? Unless you’re referring to head-lice… Which I don’t have, so don’t worry.” He said, with a small smile.
Then he walked over to the sofa and collapsed on to it. Charlie, Jayden’s tabby, wormed its way out of Jayden’s coat and crawled on to his lap. It started purring when Jayden scratched behind its puny ears.
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite

Jayden managed to sneak his kitten all the way from platform 9 & ľ. He did looked like he had a dislocated hip because of the kitten but people would probably never remember that.
Skipping over to the sofa, he said hi to a girl eating red vine candy. “Hi, I’m Jayden, first year. What’s your name?” giving a small smile.
Then hearing another girl’s voice, he looked up to locate the source. Oh it was Lex from the Gryffindor table during dinner. “Hi Lex!” he said, whilst smiling at her.
Just as with earlier in the day, Felix didn't put up a fight. He knew how to be well behaved when his owner wasn't quite herself. Like now. The kneazle fully understand and Lex could expect snuggles when they headed to bed. His fur was thick and fluffy, perfect for bad moods.
She gave an indifferent shrug at the younger girl's 'thanks'. It wasn't that big a deal. She'd complimented the candy and not the girl. That was obvious right?
Alexa grimaced at her offer, her eyes trailing down to her own bag of candy that she'd hardly felt like eating. "No thanks, I think I'm still stuffed from the feast, I can't hold much else." This was getting even worse. Now she was outright refusing free candy. The last time she did this...was ages ago...She was going to go upstairs and stuff her face with candy until she felt better...or threw up. Whichever came first. "What are those anyway." Muggle candy, she didn't have much of that kind.
Then there was someone else. That other first year from the feast..Jayden, right? His smile forced her to put on one of her own, otherwise it'd have been rude and no matter how horrid she felt, it gave her no right to be like that. "Hey! Finally made it to the Common Room, soooo, what'd you think?" First impressions were important afterall.

I’d bet it’s just as good or even better.” Jayden could see how much effort Lex took to put a smile on her face. He then said, “You look pretty beat, it’s time to hit the hay for you. I guess. HAHA. See you around!” Then he smiled. And waved to her, as if forcing her to go and get some shuteye. He meant that in the best way, of course.

There were lots of awesome Gryffindor Seekers in the past. She was just continuing that legacy. Heh. That was definitely not modest. And she nodded about the crushing. Crushing things with bats was definitely good in Quidditch.
"I meant don't let them know that you and your bat are innocent and not scary. They're supposed to think you ARE scary," she replied with a grin. Beaters were supposed to be scary or at least intimidating or something. If you knew they wouldn't hit a bludger at you, that kinda defeated the point of being a Beater.

Ok. Yeah, Tag wasn't giving previous seekers any credit. And that was bad on him. So, he tried to fix his wording on this. How to say it? Tapping his chin a few times he found the right words, "How about the best seeker out of all the houses to the most previous season? Last year." There. That should work. And it was true.
Penelope had a point, and Tag just grinned at her logic. "Right. Play the act correctly." He responded with a smirk. Hopefully Tag's acting was decent. That's all he needed. To falter in that part. "Of COURSE I'm scary. Don't you find yourself shaking in your boots whenever you see me?" He'd just drag along his bat with him wherever he went. Then people knew what to expect.

After much persuasion from the other lions, Mackenzie had decided to tryout for quidditch again. Alice had been very persuasive, threatening to bite her and all.. she knew that she didn't need to play, she needed to be focused on nothing but her studies. She had already decided that she wanted to try to be an auror after graduation, and for that she needed good marks.
But the pitch was one place where she felt at ease even if there were things and people flying towards her. Mackenzie sat at one of the study tables, reading ahead for potions. She was ready to really jump into that subject.
It was a long walk up to the gold and red room in the big house. Yesm, Algamus was very tired from his long walk up the many stairs. Headmistressie would be so proud of his walk with the duster in his hand. Cleaning was Algamus' favourite and he wanted to clean all the rooms in the big house. Sadly, he was the headman in charge and the other house elvies needed him to instruct them in his ways.
Today he had times for the cleanings of the red and gold room. Algamus opened the door and walked into the room.
Filthy studentsies never took care of the big house. They were bad studentsies who made his ugly, grumpy face grumpier. No cleaning of the big house was not good. Yesm, not good.

Penelope shrugged. "Second best, technically." She wasn't really ashamed of that though 'cause she'd worked hard for it. Eight snitch captures out of a possible nine was not bad at all, especially compared to the previous two terms before where she'd usually come last. And she was gonna continue to work hard and get even better than that. She was determined.
She grinned when he agreed to play the part of a scary Beater. He probably wouldn't seriously...but it was fun to pretend. So she laughed. "Oh yeah, I'm SO scared. Absolutely terrified. I might have nightmares."

Clean, clean, clean.
Hey look! One of the elves. They really were back, and clearly hard at work. Penelope didn't want to interrupt too much, but she did at least want to say, "Hey! I'm glad you all are back." She offered a smile.

Nooooo. None of that Penelope. None of that. "Better than fourth!" Was that better? True. Anything was better than fourth. And Penelope was much better than. Tons of people knew that. Just keep up with that mentality.
Tag would be a terrible actor, FYI. He couldn't tell a lie without smiling for no reason. But if he wanted people to be scared of him then he should start practicing this. Continuing with Penelope's teasing of him Tag added on, "Seeing this face in the middle of the night is terrifying. Yeah? Dude? COUUUGH. Did she look like a dude? Nooooo. "It's Dudette, cause I'm a girl."GIRL GIRL GIRL GIRL. Without cooties and germ free. Very different to a boy and what he called a dude. At least he got the cool part right cause dudes were cool and Abbi thought she was too.
Tssssssk. Tssssssskkk. He was smiling and so was she, but she thought he knew nothing! about cooties if he were to say they were fictional. Did he not get by now that most fictional things were really true? LOOK at them. In a castle with witches and wizards that WERE meant to be fictional too. Clearly lacking some fictional knowledge then. Eh. "They're not fictional. I promise you. I've had them before when a boy in my class touched me last year. I was sick for days and days." Flu wasn't fun and neither was staying in bed all day. Miss Abbi didn't want to be sick again. Nope. "Lice is another thing completely." She'd had that too before. All it made her want to do was scratch and scratch even when she WASNT thinking.
But the older Gryffindor was finally getting back to her about the sweets and so Abbi's head turned back that way. "I can keep you some for tomorrow?" She had LOTS and LOTS and being hyper tended to be more fun when somebody else had joined in the sugar rush with you.
She didn't know what they were? OH MY WORD! JAW DROP!
"You don't know what red vines are? Where have you been living? In Mars?" LIKE HOW HOW HOW?
But wait..there was something herself Abbi didn't know. There was a thing walking inside the common room cleaning. "What's THAT?" She pointed as she waited for an answer.

Stupid studentsies making messes in the big house and interrupting Algamus and his work. He had lots of things to do, yesm. The red and gold studentsies were just trying to stop him from his favourite past time: cleaning. Yesm, he loved to clean more then making foods for the studentsies and more then barking orders at the ungrateful house elvsies.
Algamus glared at the long haired girl and brushed past her, "Much work to do. Much work, yesm."

Cleaning for the Headmistressie made Algamus very happy. His grumpy face almost resembled a smile, but too much work for smiling. Lots of cleaning to be done.
A smaller studentsie broke his concentration when she pointed at Algamus. He did not know why she was staring, she was as small as him. "Small studenstie shouldn't stare," he grumbled.
The common room was just how she imagined it to be, she looked around, people were talking together, so she found a small seat at the side of the room, took out her pencil and pad and began to draw the common room, it didn't take long and soon she had a pretty good replica of the common room on paper. She took out her colours and started to colour it in, the deep shades of red, the chair, the fireplace. It was so beautiful. Red lived in a big house at home, but she had never been in the rooms that could resemble the common room, she wasn't allowed.

Penelope nodded. "Definitely better." Second was loads better than last. Second best Seeker and Gryffindor had placed second in points too. Last term was great. And this one could be even better.
And she really couldn't imagine Tag actually succeeding in being scary. He just...wasn't intimidating. Which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, and you didn't technically even need to look intimidating or scary to be a Beater. Long as you could hit bludgers at the other team, it was fine. But poking fun at him about it was amusing, yeah? Penelope made her best scared face, which mostly just consisted of widening her eyes some, so it wasn't all that great. Good thing she didn't plan on being an actress after graduation. "Oh yeah, very nightmarish. I'm never going to be able to sleep now after seeing that face."

...well, this house elf was sorta rude. 'Course, they did always seem to like cleaning and didn't like being interrupted, but usually they didn't glare like that, especially since she wasn't actually trying to stop him. Penelope raised an eyebrow a little then shrugged. "Alright then. I'll let you get to it then."

And then Penelope was beginning to do something very random. She made her eyes grow bigger, in an attempt to seem scary? Tag, on the other hand, simply let out a quiet laugh at her scary face. It was good, but not the greatest. Although he wouldn't say this Tag thought that Penelope, even if he's never seen her do this, leave her being scary as to punching people. He expected that was her area of expertise. "If you can't sleep after seeing my nightmarish face I'll make you- hopefully a decent one- sleeping potion. Its on me." The little blonde said smiling at her. Then he got up and walked over to where she was sitting. "If you need me or anything for the rest of the day, you know where to find me. The kitchens, the duck pond, or outside the Hufflepuff common room." said Tag as he counted off the three places on his fingers, all three places his 'girlfriend' could be at. Then he shortly ruffled her hair. And with that he made his way out the common room.

Penelope wasn't too sure about using sleeping potions, but this was only a joke, so there was no need to get into all that right now. She simply nodded. And it seemed like the conversation was winding down, and Tag was listing off places he'd be. She laughed a little. "You may find me in the kitchens too if you're there." She liked going there a lot too. And she was wanting to learn how to cook more things now, so it was even more of a reason for her to be there.
And...Tag ruffled her hair. Blink. Okay then. She would've ruffled his in return, but he was already heading out of the common room so she just waved instead. And once he was gone, she hopped up and headed for her dorm.

Schuyler padded down the steps from the girls' dormitories. Classes were finished and she had deposited her things in her room and now all that she was set on doing right now was kicking back a little. Homework could wait until later; she worked best at night.
Comfy and casual in sweats and a beater, Schuyler found herself drawn to one of the sofas. It was unoccupied at the moment, so she would have ample room to stretch out. She had to give Hogwarts credit in regard to their Gryffindor common room furniture - veeery comfortable. In fact, she didn't doubt that, come winter time, she might have a few nights falling asleep right on this very couch in front of a toasty fire.
But, as for now, she was only relaxing. And thinking how very convenient it would be if she had a sketchbook and an actual sense of drawing... That went beyond blob-people.
Ryan was sprawled out on the common room sofa, his head turned towards the fire, his thoughts elsewhere. His normally perfect hair was a bit messy today but he wasn't really in the mood to fix it--or maybe he just hadn't noticed. The heat of the fire felt really good, especially after the cold outside. He let his mind wander, blocking out the chatter around him.

Hidden to most, inside that huge bundle of blankets on the armchair closest to the crackling fire was Alice. The sixth year had pages and pages of Quidditch notes spread about her lap and was squinting at them thoughtfully when her company entered, but Schuyler went unnoticed for the moment. She usually picked up on the slightest sound or disturbance in her general vicinity, but today, she was so absorbed in her work that it took a few moments to realize she'd been joined.
Glancing up from the guesses for the Slytherin's roster that she was jotting down, blue eyes took in the girl on the couch before her. Hmm. Familiar? Was she the one from the Halloween party? Schuyler?
... uninteresting. Alice saw no reason to cease what she was doing for small talk, so she went back to her roster guesses. Ravenclaw next.

Schuyler streeeetched on the couch like a cat. A good stretch was like a good yawn. An inexplicable little stress reliever. She rested her head on the pillow, but because the pillow was a little too flat for her liking, the girl moved to grab the other one that was by her feet. She doubled the pillows and that worked out just fine for a head cushion. Much better than before.
The crackling of the fire was a nice white noise, and the warmth from the flames radiated throughout the room so that she didn't feel the need for a blanket just yet. After her body settled down, she might grab one.
...something rustled. Paper.
Lifting her head, Schuyler peered around the arm of the sofa to notice that, deep within the cocoon of blankets on that armchair by the fireplace was another student. She looked at her for a moment longer and realized that it was West's girlfriend. The quidditch captain.
"You blend right in with those blankets. Didn't even see you until now," Schuyler said, moving from her side onto her back.

Ravenclaw rosters were proving extremely hard to guess, and Alice found it even harder to get into a Mo-like mindset. What would Cactus do? She squinted thoughtfully at the note-filled parchment before scribbling a couple of names down across from respective positions. Hm. Now, for that last Chaser, it'd most likely be-
Oh. Company was talking.
"Blending in is good sometimes," the sixth year commented distractedly, briefly glancing up from her Quidditch sheets to give Schuyler an idle smile. Alice would take that as a compliment; it was nice to have the ability to be inconspicuous sometimes when she stuck out like a sore thumb in plenty of other circumstances.
She reluctantly tore her eyes away from her pages and pages of strategies to peek at the other girl again. Were they small talking now?

Jake was doing homework. Which was... nothing special, of course. He sat on the floor in front of one of the fluffy couches, having moved off the couch about half an hour ago to stretch his legs more comfortably. His Charms textbook was open to his left and he was scribbling on a roll of parchment, halfway through an essay.
He wanted to be done. He wanted his Anya. ...And food. Yes. All of those things.
