Adrienne was so ready for this. Beat the chicken dance entrance and get five points for your house, Fuller had said, and she was pretty sure she'd be able to do that. She'd been a pretty serious dancer as a kid, after all, and even though it had been several years since she'd done any inversions, she was about 65% sure she'd be completely able to cartwheel across the floor of the classroom to the desk, and then win five points for Ravenclaw as well as the admiration of all of her classmates- not that she was looking for admiration or anything.

She was all psyched up for it when she got to the door that she was already going over the layout of the classroom so she didn't run into any desks or first years or anything, but when she got to the door there was... nothing.

What? Where was the teacher? Where were the desks? Adrienne frowned at the occupants of the room and slowly sort of melted to the floor. She got out of the way of the door so she wasn't trampled, but just kind of... lay there on the ground, all boneless-feeling and jellylike. Did they even have class? Because if not, she was going to go upstairs and take a nap.

Henric stood there and noticed a ravenclaw already settled in on the floor. He assumed, she must had an idea on what was happening. Being a first year was such a disadvantage. Half the time he was lost in this castle and the other half sort of trying to put together all the classes he had been. Not to mention the stress of homework assignments.He decided to gather up some courage and tap her on the shoulder
"Uhh...do you know where are all the desk and chairs went?" he asked softly.

Sophie had been in the classroom for a few minutes now already, but she still hadn't really figured out what was going on. All she knew is that she didn't care one way or the other that there was no professor in here; nor did she really look into the fact that the professor pretty much spoke teen talk. Well, if his message on the board was any indication.

What she was completely annoyed about was the fact that there was nowhere to sit. If he was going to be late, the least he could have done was left them somewhere to relax. As it was, though, he didn't, so she just randomly stood there looking around the room, waiting for something to happen.

Someone was touching her. Why was someone touching her? Wasn't it clear that she was busy wallowing on the floor in misery and boredom? Why would a person bother someone in the middle of something as vitally important as this? Adrienne sighed and eventually decided that yes, she'd bother to grace whoever was unnecessarily touching her with at least a glance in their direction, and so she lifted her head to see who was accosting her.

...oh, it was a firstie. Well, probably a firstie, or a really young-looking third year, because he definitely wasn't in her year and he was definitely between the ages of eleven and thirteen. She put her head back down on the floor, breathing out in relief at not having to exert any energy anymore.

And what, he was asking her questions? How was she supposed to know what was going on? She was just as confused as the rest of the class. Adrienne should have probably lifted her head again to talk to him, but instead she addressed her answer at the air above her. "If I knew, do you think I'd be lying on the floor, confused and burdened by boredom?" she asked the ceiling.

Henric was a bit taken aback, he was only asking a polite thing. He didn't mean to make her mad or anything. But whatever it was, she wasn't in the mood to be friendly. She was looking up at the ceiling and he couldn't help but to look up as well. He blinked, not knowing what she was looking up there for. Then he concluded,maybe she didn't want to meet his eyes because she was probably shy like him. His eyes gazed back down again but fixed onto the floor instead.

"Oh..uhh sorry...I just thought you know something...you are lying on the floor and all...while most of them are standing...and..umm.."he mumbled. He didn't really have much confidence in himself talking to new people. He didn't want to make her feel flustered more than he thought he already did.

He reached out his hand for her to shake,
"I'm Henric...Hufflepuff...first year..."
Perhaps,introducing himself could lessened the tension around her.

Aidan wasn't concerned about being late at all. Even when he noticed the time, he kept a slack pace as he walked to Charms. Which...was nothing against him, he noticed, as the professor wasn't even there. ...Was he even late? There were certainly enough people inside to suggest he wasn't early, but...

Oh well.

No desks. No professor. It was strange, yes, but he was sure there was a reason.

The Ravenclaw walked through the classroom and joined Mo in his leaning, bro!nodding at him and Cat.

He was not late at aaaaall! No, actually he wasn't. Well, maybe just a few minutes. But it's okay. This was going to be GOOD. And he was excited.

"Hellooooo," The professor greeted loudly through the chitter chatter as he made his way into the classroom. Fuller weaved his way in and out of confused, strange, and panicky children as he held the strings of 50 or so colorful balloons that were floating high above his head.

Oh, look. There was a Gryffindor on his desk. But that wasn't important. What was important was that the Gryffindor was holding a plate of cookies. Without regarding her, he took a cookie and stuffed it into his mouth.

He approved.

And now the student had to go. Piers took the plate and set it on his desk before scooting the random Gryffindor girl off his desk. "Okie dokie, class. I see you have noticed we don't have desks. This was intentional. Take a chill pill." Yeah? Yeah. Teenagers were so dramatic.

Piers let the balloons go and cleared the message off the board. See? He was back in a mo'. Just like promised.

"Settle down now. Today we're going to learn a very useful, very important charm. Especially for lazy people. So, we all know we can summon things with the obvious summoning charm, Accio. What other charms can we use to bring things to us when we are just too darn lazy to get up? Or when your legs are broken... hypothetically." .... Considering the last lesson, maybe hypothetical situations weren't the best.

Oh well. It was out.

Balloons? Ella tilted her head and watched them fly upwards, wondering what those were for. As for charms for lazy people, the seventeen year old smile a little, amused by the thought. This guy was definitely different from the other professors. Different in a good way, of course. The blonde kept her eyes on the balloons as she considered what other charms might be useful.

"Descendo could be useful." The balloons had inspired this answer, actually. "They cause things to move in a downwards direction. Like, say, a balloon." And if your legs were broken, it would help you reach things up high, she supposed. Shrug.

Something other than Accio? West thought about it for a moment and then stuck his hand up.

"How about Carpe Retractum? It creates a rope that attaches to the target and helps you pull it --'retract it'--back to you."

Just an idea anyways.

THERE! her pillow awaited. Ariana seemingly drifted over to her best friend and put her head on said friends shoulder,"so early." Minerva knew better than anyone in this room. beside maybe her team mates how much the slytherin LOATHED early mornings, not cool okay. no matter the amount of coffee or tea or sugar she had, if it was before ten thirty she was simply not for it, at all.

She was about to say something else when her head jolted up at voices and balloons.. LOTS of um! she let her eyes daze up at them, the lot of um' there we're lots of balloons in play here.
Professor popular face was saying stuff about summoning charms and like being lazy and he was suddenly speaking Ariana's language. She put her had up and waiting to be called on or whatever " there's the Locomotion Charm which is used to lift an object a few inches off of the ground and then move said object in any given direction, like to yourself." right? they could be using that one, but Bishop's guess was more likely given the balloons and all.

Benzi watched Cutty walk away with slight annoyance - he'd been hoping to face this chair-less lesson with a friend by his side. But before he could do more than glare angrily at Cutty's retreating figure, the Professor walked in and class started.

Er - balloons? Was no one going to ask?

.. Okay.

"Wingardium Leviosa, maybe? You could just levitate whatever it was to you, 'specially if it's close and only if you have good aim if it's far," he suggested, shrugging slightly and ran a hand along his loose tie. This was now becoming some sort of habit.

Balloons. What was going on with the balloons? She had a feeling that this lesson was not going to be very enjoyable for her. She needed a place to sit and she was not in the mood for any funny business. If she wasn't such a lady, she would pop a squat right on the floor to prove a point, she was a lady however so she had a nasty look on her face instead.

The first thing that came to her mind when she thought about summoning spells was that if she couldn't use the obvious spell then she would just make somebody get stuff for her, problem solved right? Still, that was not a spell and her last cheek got her points taken away so she wasn't going to go there again so soon.

"What about Ascendio professor?" Pause. "That can lift you in the air so maybe you could float to said object?" Sure that still involved doing something, but it was a rather lazy attempt in her eyes. If she had her way she would still make somebody get things for her.

The teacher arrived. And seemed to be in a good mood. Oh! Why they couldn't simply arrive in time, greet the students and teach whatever they want to? Would he have been late because of all those coloured ballons?
And he thought it was nice to eat a cupcake before them without sharing a single one?
Annabeth had lost her good mood during the past few minutes she was forced to wait the teacher.

She wasn't a lazy girl and doubted she wanted to learn another summoning charm... Accio was good enough... She patted on her legs impatiently several times. Then a remembrance popped into her mind, there was a weird men in the Leaky Cauldron last Summer who said another word to summon a newspaper...
Perhaps she had to leave her bad mood aside and hear what the teacher would teach... She raised her hand.

"Professor, I heard someone saying something like "invito" to summoning a newspaper when I was at the Leaky Cauldron last Summer."

Kace was liking this class already. The professor seemed he was in high spirits and at least not having the desks was intentional and not an accident. Kace would be concerned if it wasn't. He even noticed Marigold sitting next to him and he smiled at her and gave her a playful wink. He couldn't really talk to her since the class started.

But onto the question the professor asked. Kace thought about it. Which spells would he use if he was lazy and didn't feel like getting up. One spell came to mind! "Professor you could use Wingardium Leviosa to bring things toward you." He would totally use that spell at home if he was allowed to that is.

Vesper wasn't panicked of carrying on. No, she was standing still, eyeballing her peers and making mental notes. It would've been too obvious to pull her notebook out right now and blatantly jot things down...And while people didn't usually mind if she did this, it was sorta attention seeking. Ves didn't want to be labeled like that.

Moments later, though...the professor had arrived. Unfortunately, he did not come bearing desks and chairs, but BALLOONS instead. Ves eyed them with growing interest, automatically loving their color. Artistic sensibility shining through, maybe. She just loved colors.

Not answering his question right away, she took a moment to watch others and really ponder their answers...before giving her own. "The Locomotion Charm." Her tone was airy and still thoughtful. "The incantation is always said with the object you're using the spell on...and like the others, the object has to be in view to be charmed." Ves looked around for a moment, surveying the others again before continuing. "It allows you to move whatever you charm freely."

She'd so badly wanted to say the Animation Spell...but that was Transfiguration. So, that wouldn't have been useful in a Charms lesson. Too bad, really...

Why was Adrienne still being talked to when she was very clearly giving off every possible social cue of someone who was perfectly content to just wallow in silence. Didn't he notice that nobody else was bothering her? Wasn't it obvious from the fact that she was LYING ON THE GROUND that she was not in the mood for people? Her cartwheeling scheme had been destroyed, and there was apparently no teacher, and she was still tired from working on that stupid Astronomy homework last night. So right now, the last thing she wanted was annoying first-or-third years bothering her, and what did she get? Yeah, exactly.

Aha, so he was a first year! She'd been right! She opened her mouth to introduce herself in response, casting only a disdainful look at his hand (there was no way she was going to all of the effort to lift up a hand to be shaken) and managed to get out the words "Adrienne Rebecca Colbert, Ravenclaw Second-" when a brightly-coloured mass of balloons made its way through the door. Oh, and it looked like there was a professor attached to them too- well, finally.

Adrienne lifted her head again just enough to note that Fuller was eating cookies or something and that there were balloons, and then her neck got too tired to hold up anymore so she rested it back on the ground and forced herself to listen to the stuff the professor was talking about. He was talking... and making words... that she was supposed to be listening to... but it was so much easier to just go to sleep...

She blinked several times and sat up very quickly, gesturing for Henry or whatever this kid's name was to hush because she was trying to focus and not fall asleep. He'd asked a question, hadn't he? What was the question exactly? Adrienne just blinked a few more times and figured she'd wait this one out. There would be other questions.

By now, Sky had gotten over her shock at seeing the lack of desks and chairs and had settled on the floor to finish her bagel and coffee. But the balloons got a raised brow from her because, well, they were balloons being carried by someone who most definitely not ten years old. But whatever, they were moving on. To spells for lazy people. Heh. Good one.

She tried thinking outside the box for a moment, considering that all the spells that she would've answered had already been said. Finally, she swallowed the last bite of her bagel and took a quick sip of her coffee before answering. "I think I would just patronus someone to get it for me." Because all those other spells would require extra effort on her part.

Adi was rather bored standing there and was resisting the urge to start yawning. He was about to speak to Anna but at that same moment Professor Fuller came billowing in with balloons trailing above him. Were they going to get a balloon each? Adi wanted one! Balloons were fun! He grinned at Anna. He could tell she'd love to have one.

So. What spell could be used? Hmm. Adi slowly raised his hand. "Wingardium Leviosa, Professor.''

Why had that first year claimed one of West's hands? Nope. Her hand. She gave the kid a look. Were they all linking hands now? Alice didn't particularly like touching sticky children whose hands could have been going anywhere, but as long as she had a West hand, it didn't seem all bad.

Professor Facial Hair was there now, though, which meant she had to spend less time thinking about hands and more time thinking about class. But she didn't drop her boyfriend's hand just yet, PFH didn't mind. He never minded... like....... anything, did he?

"You could try Excito Animans," she suggested. "S'not exactly for summoning or retrieving, but it makes stuff move."

Also, was he going to share those cookies with the favorites? Alice made eyes at him.

Yes Narumi had made it... Actually like a couple seconds before the Professor had walked in. Hehe, she was slick. Why did he have balloons?? And why were there no desks or stuff she may have only went to Hogwarts for her first year and now she was back... But really had it changed that much!! Oh okay... Never mind.

Yeah um... She would use accio.. Why use another spell that one was perfect. So no answer from the girl.

Marissa raised her hand,"If your legs were broken or you were to lazy to get up and unlock the door you could use Alohomora to open it." she said in response to the Professor's question. This isn't to bad, she thought to herself, nothing is broken and nothing has fallen on my head yet.

It was almost funny how the girls in the class perked up at the sight of the professor... if those girls didn't include Caterina and other perfectly clever girls who shouldn't be all impressed by a guy. Mo definitely needed to grow some facial hair, 'cause it was the only thing setting this guy a part.

"Doesn't it sorta depend on what you want to move? Balloons might be able to be drawn toward you with some sort of vacuum or a wind... but I suppose I like Wingardium Leviosa for it, too." If pressed.

Sophie felt like pointing out that some people weren't lazy, they were just smart. For example, why on Earth would you get up and get something yourself when you can make someone else do it? The whole school was guilty.

Sophie was a first year and therefore didn't have too much of a wealth of knowledge when it came to coming up with a wide variety of spells. Therefore, she came up with a much smarter answer in her opinion. She raised her hand. "You could always charm somebody with your good looks and have them do everything for you," she suggested. It seemed likely to happen in her eyes, at least.

Did he want them to answer? Hah. Yeah, well, Ascanius wasn't a fan of doing that so he was just gonna stand there all straight with a casually bored expression (harder then it looks) while the rest of his classmates properly demonstrated what it was like to kiss Professor Jones' saggy bum.

Also, just because he wasn't an idiot, he mused about Locomotor, but he was not dull enough to notice that a few other people had as well. It was like a reverse accio. Instead of drawing something TO you, it sent it to someone else. Huh. Maybe he could have brought up a case for banishing something away, yeah? S'not exactly a long shot.

But nah. He disliked Professor Jones, he wasn't gonna talk.

"If you wanted to get rid of something you'd use the banishing charm. Basically you wouldn't have to move to do anything." Not that she would ever do that, but it was true.
