She TOTALLY understood noooooow. Yup. But the point was, you could use it to pull yourself toward something as well. Mhm. Main point right there. ”Interesting point. As long as whatever you’re using to pull yourself up is heavier than you, or you might end up breaking whatever it is.” And..... sigh. ”Err... yeah. ”Your first task will be to simply seize and pull the balloon to you using this charm. Remember to use the whip-like wand movement,” he said, as he demonstrated. Piers grabbed a balloon and stood several feet away from it. ”Carpe Retractum!” he said, while whipping his wand forward and then back. A purple-lighted rope snaked out and looped around the balloon string and tugged the balloon to his side before disappearing back into the wand. ”Just like that.”
Pierson got out his wand and directed the balloons to the center of the classroom where the students were standing. ”I want everyone to take a balloon of your choice. Don’t worry, they’re charmed not to go any higher than they are now, so you won’t lose it.” Once everyone had a balloon, he continued, ”Give yourself plenty of room and stand, oh... 15 steps away from your balloon. First, practice the incantation and the wand movement separately. Then I want you to practice this spell just like I did. Balloons are almost weightless, so it should be rather easy. Do it at least twice or until you’re ready to move on. Ready, set go!” OOC: You must make a minimum of three posts. You have 30 hours to do this! |
