Ancient Runes Lesson 2 : Transfiguration Runes : Granians
It is the last Ancient Runes class for the term, the noticeboard says to head to the grounds for an outside lesson. It's not hard to find the spot where Botros wants you all to meet, he's standing just outside the castle, with his cane clutched tightly in front of him. A widespread of green grass stretches in this well-kept spot and if you walk further on you can see the lake, the whomping willow, and the forbidden forest. A few boulders scatter here and there but other than that they are out in the open with nothing but the green of spring and the slightly chilly breeze.
You can sit on the grass if you want to, or use the few clean tree logs that the professor provided for the sissies kids who did not prefer to unite with the nature.
ooc:
- Class has started, please don't announce your late arrival unless you're ready to deal with the consequences!
- Please familiarize/refresh yourself with the rules & guidelines for attending this class before posting.
- IC-date is May 14th at 8 am.

Adi had seen the notice on the board. To the Grounds, then! That would be better than being cooped up in a classroom. It didn't take him very long to find Professor Botros. "Hi, good morning, Professor!'' he greeted. Yep, because even though it was only 8 a.m, he was wiiiiide awake and full of energy.
So, where could he sit? On the grass? Or those logs over there? Naaah! The grass for him, please! Without further ado, the boy pulled up a patch of grass and made himself comfortable, sitting cross legged.

You'd think by the end of the year she would have had no problem knowing what class she had in thirty minutes. But the fifth-year of course had to ask her fellow snakes. Yeah, right, Ancient Runes. She remembered that. It didn't take her long to get ready now that it wasn't cold and she didn't need to have many layers on.
Cassia left and headed out the castle as the note said. Outdoors lesson, that seemed promising. Once outside, she looked around until she found professor Bortos. Wow, she came early. Totally unintentional. She thought of having a walk around while the others came but then decided against it. How'd she know when they started. Plus it might not be approved by the old man. Hopefully, her classmates won't be late.
"Good morning professor," she greeted the man stepping closer to him.

WOO, almost the end of term. Theo tried his hardest to NOT think about the exams but at the back of his mind, the panic was stewing. Ancient Runes was one of his worst lessons, not because he hated it, because he was awful at it. So today he was aiming to take something away from class. And it was outside! Hopefully it'd be a practical lesson.
Theo made his way over to Botros and he stopped next to Cassia. "Morning, Professor Botros." And he looked at his friend, too. "Hey."

Ancient Runes. Kat never thought she'd be really fond of this subject at all. It sort of... grew on her when Professor Botros started teaching it. Maybe it was cos the Professor was the awesomest? She didn't know. All she did know was that she'd miss Botros and his super fun lessons.
"Hello Professor Botros," Kat greeted the old man with a smile and went to find a place. Why were they outside instead of inside, by the way? Fresh air? The Head Girl sat on the grass and waited for the others to come in.
So... yeah. Last Ancient Runes class. How sad.

It was time for Ancient Runes, and this was one of the many classes that Hannah did not look forward to. She walked into the room and spotted the professor. "Hello Professor." she said not very cheery like at all. She was not in a very good mood, but not for her normal reasons. Hannah didn't feel very well and she did not want to be in any classroom.
She noticed that Adi was there. Of course he was there! She took a seat as far away as she could from him. There was no way he was going to make her bad mood any worse!
Ancient Runes. Why not? Mischa had read the note which was posted on the Ravenclaw noticeboard. Therefore at the scheduled time he made his way to the Grounds for the class. He found it with no trouble. Nodding as usual to the Professor and to the five Hogwartians already there.

Ella hurried out of the castle after grabbing some breakfast and made her way over to where some of her classmates were gathered. It was going to be a nice day, she thought, as the wind blew her hair lightly off her shoulders. The kind of day that she wanted to spend outside. Good on Botros for having class here today. Dude was the best.
Speaking of Botros, there he was. "Morning Professor!" BEAM. She was excited for class, y'know? Runes was definitely one of her favorite subjects. Plus these classes were always interesting, always enjoyable, and she always learned something new.
People got smiles. Like Adi and Theoman and Cassia. She wasn't exactly a fan of the Hannah girl considering Sophie reasons so no eye contact there and the other dude got tentative looks because she was still suspicious for reasons. Finally she settled down in the grass by Kat, her blonde-student leader-sometimes keeper-buddy. "Hey!"

Caleb was grateful he'd thought to grab his cardigan before leaving today - it was chilly! He headed down to the Ancient Runes class, which was OUTSIDE for a change, and wondered what they could possibly be doing out on the grass. Were they going to do something that DIDN'T involve cleaning today? Hopefully.
"Hello Professor," he said with a smile as he settled down on the grass near the front.

This couldn't be happening. How could the Professor want to have class at such an ungodly hour the day after she chooses to stay up trying a nail a new spell to help rearrange a certain someone's face?? It was like karma. Something was trying to teach her a lesson for reading, wasn't it? Yup. Lex should have seen this coming...and not gone to bed at 4 am. Really it was a bad practice. Granted she eventually nailed the hex but now her eyes were burning. Who's bloody brilliant idea was it to have morning wake up time at 6?? Was that even legal??? Pfft, like that ever stopped the school before.
Alexa barely managed to grab a bite in the Great Hall--she overslept OKAY?? And no onenot even her lovely Captain had bothered to try hauling her out of bed. See the problem here??? Good thing she had her sweets and the right incentive to be here. Violent this subject was violent and she LAIKED it.
Lex found the others through some squinting and zombie movements. Before midday, everything was too much expectation for the Gryffindor. Her summers were lovely you know, because she could sleep til 12, but here. No such luck with that here. The Gryffindor zombied over to her friend who was standing by the Professor and leaned her head against her shoulder before giving a soft yawn. "Hey Cass, g'morning Professor. Up nice and early, aren't we?" Hint hint nudge nudge the girl was SLEEPY!

Minerva made her way to the grounds. She had been having better days and she was happy to be out on the grounds. Following a few classmates that were headed to the same area she looked around. Smiling towards Professor Botros as she made her way to the rest of the class. "Hello Professor, lovely day today isn't it?" She couldn't believe how fast the term seemed to be going now. Though she had many things to look forward to she also was starting to have a harder time believing the end was getting so near.
Turning she gave her usual glare towards a certain foreigner before finding a spot in the grass. Somewhere she could keep a good eye on things, but be able to listen and stay focused on the lesson. With NEWTs coming up she had to get all the extra focus in she could. No reason to slack now, nope she had to start forcing more studying. Making herself comfortable in the grass, she pulled out her quill and parchment to get ready for the lesson to begin.

Vesper felt sluggish and 'eh' as she stepped into Professor Botros' class. There was lots on her mind as she looked for certain people...and when she didn't see certain people, she decided on a random seat. It wasn't meant as any offense to others...but the Ravenclaw had zero interest in them today. Yep, the notebook was officially closed until tomorrow sometime...
Ves tried to put on a happy face, though, determined not to let whatever her mood was dictate her 'lesson experience'. Besides, Professor Botros had a kind face...even if Runes were like ancient Chinese to her; not understood and frustrating.
"Hello, sir." A mild blush accompanied her greeting.

More students were arriving so the lesson would start soon. Which would be a good thing. He didn't appreciate things getting a late start. Mischa lost in thoughts of Karina but he felt the piercing glare. He didn't even bother to look. The great defender had arrived. Let her keep her "sharp" eyes on him. There were other students she couldn't keep her eyes on and if he provided a distraction that was a bonus for him.
He thought he'd get used to the kind of classes that Hogwarts had but he did not really. The subjects were of course not what he found different but rather the way the classes went. That was not familiar. Not to mention the students who weren't paying at attention like you'd think they should. Everyone was absorbed in their little lives.
Ancient Runes wasn't one of his best subjects but he wasn't bad and could find his way around. So along with the others he went out. According to the notice board, the lesson was held outside. Which meant it usually was inside.
Sébastien walked closer to were everyone stood with his bag's strap swung over his shoulder. His eyes picked out the old man. This was the oldest professor or even person he saw in the castle. He almost thought they were all sort of young. Guess not.

Why were classes allowed to start so early? Not that she wanted them to start really late and then take up even more of the day, but 8 am was SUPER early. Why not 9 or 10? It was still the morning and kinda early, but not TOO early, y'know? She'd much prefer that because it meant more time to sleep and eat. Especially eat. Breakfast was VERY important.
Finishing off the last piece of toast she'd brought with her, Penelope finally reached the place the lesson was supposed to be at today. Wasn't hard to find once she was outside since there were a few others already gathered around Botros. "Hi Professor," she greeted him simply before finding an empty spot to sit.

Ancient Runes! ... Out in the grounds. And very early, too.
Having read the notice in the Ancient Runes classroom, Alec had to backtrack and make his way back downstairs and out into the grounds instead. Not that he was complaining. No no no! This walk was perfect since it gave him enough time to finish the sandwich he had hastily grabbed from the Hufflepuff table earlier on. Because even if the notice had said to have some breakfast, the boy didn't want to be late. What would Botros say to that?
... And speaking of Botros... there he was! Which... meant that he had to finish his breakfast quickly. Nom nom nom chew chew chew.
Gulping down the last of the sandwich, Alec headed over towards the Runes Professor and the group of students huddled nearby. "Morning Professor!" he called, giving the man a smile. And he remembered the rune stones set that the notice had said. All was in his bag! Pat pat.
And... they could sit on the grass, yeah? The boy glanced around at all the students there, the smile still spread across his face, before heading right over towards the pseudo-sister. "Morning Wheaty!" he said, sitting down right next to her. She didn't mind, right? Yeah?
Ancient Runes. It was one of the classes Jun understood so little about but still managed to enjoy to a certain extent. But none the less he wasn't going to miss the last lesson of the term because he wanted to sleep a bit more. He almost came to class in his pajamas, thinking he had overslept, again. Walking onto the grounds, Jun saw it was starting to fill up and he walked quickly towards the group; almost tripping on his own shoe.
Fantastic.
Maybe no one saw that. He had sure hopes not. He'd wouldn't be able to live it down for the remainder of class. Jun made his way towards the front, knowing that was the only way he'd manage to stay awake. Even if they were outside. "Morning, professor," he said, with a small smile and nod. Maybe he shouldn't have stayed up late last night.

8:15am. Who did Professor Botros think his students were? Adults? Nope. They couldn't get up that early. Way, way too early. Oh well, there wasn't much Tag could do about that. He did like Ancient Runes and Professor Botros, so he wouldn't say anything. The guy ( Botros ) was a cool man. Besides, if Tag said anything Botros could simply wack Tag with his walking cane. OUCH.
So, sighing a bit, Tag headed towards the ground in the general direction of where class would be held. AND NO TAG DID NOT HAVE TIME FOR BREAKFAST! But he did come with the required materials they needed. An once he got closer to his classmates he made his way to the Professor first and said, "Hello Professor. I do enjoy your class, but maybe if next term you could make it a bit later... I didn't have time for breakfast. An, well, you seem really big on breakfast. So, I don't know, you don't have to do it next term, yeah? Just a suggestion..." Tag said with a grimacing smile. At least he was appealing to Botros' needs!
Yawning, Blair headed out to the school grounds. She couldn't believe this would be the last Ancient Runes class this term. Looking around, she saw some other students gathering around the Professor. That must be the meeting spot she decided. Blair joined the group and smiled at a few of her fellow classmates. "Morning Professor," she said.

It didn't hit Wade until he found himself walking closer to where Ancient Runes class will be held. His last class with Professor Botros and the subject at Hogwarts. He was going to save the somberness over it until the very end of feast.
Smiling, he greeted the man he held the utmost respect to, "Hello, Professor Botros.. doing alright?" Wade couldn't wait to make the most of this class.

Mm. Outside. Anya loved outside lessons. And so, she practically skipped her way to the class. "Hellllllo Professor." she said brightly as she joined the rest of the class. She then helped herself to an empty log and waited for the lesson to begin.

It was early, but at least it was a beautiful day. Mo shoved the last corner of toast into his mouth as he made his way outside, having stopped for second breakfast on his way past the Great Hall. Yeah, he was a hobbit. No big deal.
He hopped along the path before taking a spot with his classmates, giving the professor a grin and wave (but no greeting for full mouth reasons). Favorite professor. Mo swallowed and brushed crumbs from his robes. "Morning, Professor."
Adi had seen the notice on the board. To the Grounds, then! That would be better than being cooped up in a classroom. It didn't take him very long to find Professor Botros. Botros liked excited kids in the morning. "Good morning!" Just as excitedly. And the boy didn't mind sitting on the hearth!

No uniform... not a familiar face. The foreigner student received a soft look from the old professor in reply to his nod. Poor kids must be feeling out of their zone in this new school, surrounded by unfamiliar classmates.

... hmmm. It was obvious this lioness had a long night prior to today's class. Botros gave her a small smile, a cautious one though, "Good morning miss Cambridge. And my bones are sixty years older than yours." He had a playful smile on his face, but his answer implied that Mr. Kildare's appeal was refused.

"Good morning, dear." He smiled and nodded at the active Gryffindor.

Botros wanted to hug this Hufflepuff too. He was one of the best students in his class, and always gave his best effort. "Good morning, son. I'm doing great, thank you." Polite, too.

He waved warmly at the happy Gryffindor girl, it was refreshing to see cheerful lions early in the morning, maybe other lions could watch and learn? HINTtagHINT. "Hello, dear."

A happy Ravenclaw in the morning was just as good. The evidence of having had breakfast was pretty clear too!! Botros was beside himself that some kids followed his advice. "Good morning, Captain Marco. Great spirit in the morning, I see." Odin bless his soul. And his breakfast now in his tummy.

"Hello, Professor Botros"
Hmm... grass or log. Well grass did sound better right now.
"Good morning, Prefect Barrington." Botros smiled at the boy and glanced around for any more late-comers. Nope. None.
"Good morning again all, those of you who feel sleepy please bounce a couple of times in your spot and breath in some fresh spring air." Botros was grinning and gestured with his arms to the freshness around them. Aaaaahh.
"Maybe you're wondering why we're doing today's lesson out here, we already had our lessons in the morning." Eyeing those who complained. "While your fellow students bounce and wake up properly, try and guess what our lesson will be about that it's more convenient to be outside." He leaned on his cane and smiled, expectantly.
ooc: - Class has officially started, please don't announce your late arrival unless you're ready to take the consequences.
- Have your character bounce in their place (no running around or excessive talking please), or answer to the professor.
- My next post will be in 20 hrs maximum.
Kace felt this lesson was way too early. He was still rubbing his eyes. He really didn't sleep well the night before. Now he was paying for it. But he bounced on his feet and took the professors advice. It did help a little bit. He was waking up slowly but surely. At least this may be his last morning lesson. As he was waking up, he heard the professor ask why were they outside. What could they be learning.
He had no idea, but he could venture a guess right? He raised his hand timidly giving his best guess. He hoped no one would laugh at him. "Professor are we going to be carving runes into trees?"
