Library.

One of the places that Messer rarely visited. Even though he rarely came to this place, he want to help, since he didn't own many books the fourth year decided to donate 8 sickles instead. He dropped off his donation wrote his name down on the nametag. Edvard Messer. Sticking it on his shirt. Now he need to wait his uncle. Basti said in his last letter that he will come to this event but where's he?

Sebastian saw that article in the Prophet about The Library Fundraiser that being held in Hogwarts. As he walked into the room, he feel nostalgic. He couldn't believe that he's back to Hogwarts. He glanced around the room looking for his beloved nephew. Ahh. There he's. "Junior!" Basti know how much it irritated his nephew when he called him that but he just couldn't call him with his last name since they both share the same last name.

"Let me guess, Peter Pan?" His nephew need to be more creative. Basti's eyes went from Junior to the table where people drop of their donation. Oh right. Donation. He dropped off his donation of five galleons and took one of the name tag. Sebastian Messer.

Messer was just mind his own business when he heard his uncle voice. Groan. He didn't just call him that in here. He hoped that no one heard that because it'd be embarrassing.

"Basti." He gave his uncle a 'Hello' nod. Yes, no hug for him because he called him Junior when Messer already asked him several times not to call him by that name. "Yes, I am. And you're Arsene Lupin. Charming." Maybe they need to go to where they held the auction before Basti decided to humiliate him further.

Josh waited as his girlfriend prepared herself a name tag as well. Whooops...was he supposed to write her one instead? Was he now a rude boyfriend? But....Merlin! That was not fair. He was just excited to be back in Hogwarts and was totally distracted looking around to see any familiar faces. With reasons like that he could not be rude boyfriend, could he? He hoped not. Evelyn did not seem to be bothered about it as she put the name tag on anyway.

She did not see anyone else yet, either? Eh...but before they could find anyone familiar anyway one found them: Kurumi. The young man looked up when his and Evelyn's names were voiced by her. ''Hey, Kurumi! Glad to see you again!'' Josh said with a wide smile after waving at his former house mate and Pretty Prefect Princess, was not she? Or was it...Pretty Princess Prefect? Or Prefect Pretty Princess...whoops...he totally had forgotten the order of the words.

And...Destiny and others!!! Where were they!!!???



Yup...he could see them too. When he looked up, his dark eyes spotted Destiny, Carter, Marie and her husband. Matty, was not he? Cool. He could now see that he really was missing his old school days with them. With a smirk, he waved towards Marie like crazy when she yelled at them. Josh placed a hand on Evelyn's arm which was hooked in his and tugged at it. ''Let's go, see them!'' and with that he started to lead his beloved girlfriend towards their old friends among the crowd. He walked carefully, trying not to shoulder anyone in the process. And just when he was close to the friends, his dark brown eyes spotted someone else he knew;

Cassandra...

He immediately halted and blinked towards the woman, not really knowing how he was supposed to feel about this. Did she see him? Did she? Who was the man she was with? Eh...it was not his business, was it? Probably he was another date she had found. Good for her.

He was not sure if he was supposed to say something...like a greeting. His first instinct was to leave without being recognized as he was with Evelyn now and he did not want any trouble coming his way but then....it could be extremely rude should she catch him trying to be unseen by her. ''Hello...Cassandra.'' he said awkwardly then added quickly ''Sorry for interrupting'' and walked past her and the woman towards his friends with a second pause. Now...that had sounded totally stupid. He should have done as he how he had felt like doing so; pretending he had not seen her. But...what was done was done.

Finally he reached to where his old friends were being busy with each other. ''Hey guys!!!!'' he greeted cheerfully. They had not changed much, had they? Well...except that they were all married now and he was....not. He looked at both the married couples now feeling a bit weird that...he was single. Why though? Was being single wrong? No...not at all. Plus in his relationship, he put a lot of importance on Evelyn's word so if she said there was not going to be marriage then...well...there was not going to be marriage.

Anyway....

Smirking, he eyed all his friends one by one. ''Marie, Destiny. You look beautiful, ladies.'' he walked forward and kindly took their hands and placed a light kiss on them. One by one. First Marie, then Destiny. After that, he looked at the guys. ''Matty...'' he got a firm nod as a greeting then...his eyes landed on Carter. And the moment he did so, the young man let out a loud laughter...

BWAHAHAHA....

''Carter, mate, what is that you are wearing? Is not it a bit early for pretending to be a christmas tree ornament?''

Ohhh! Ellasaurus!

The red head giggled when she heard someone nearby say that, but of course she knew who that someone was. "Maybe it's a mixture of the two?" Like a dinosaur and kelpie put together? ...Okay..that sounded a bit strange. but this COSTUME! it was SO AWESOME! Nessie would have even worn it, and she didn't wear costumes like easily.

Hah! She got that! Investigate! Ella was Nancy Drew! of course! Why hadn't she clicked before.She let out another giggle before answering. "We should, shouldn't we? Miss Nancy Drew." Gosh. Ella was cute funny with that magnifying glass and all.

Investigate..yes..wait the costume person was ---

Um..this person was good at staying in character? And whoever this person was..was scared? Or..something? Because he seamed to be in a huge rush.

"Mr, or Mrs? Um...Person, Dinosaur! Where are you going?!" She called out. She wanted to marvel at the costume. "Ella?" She only now noticed the girl on the floor and extended a hand towards her. "You Alright?" Rude costume person for bumping her to the floor. "Come on, we're going to get an apology." And with that Ness followed the dragin/dinosaur/LOCHNESS!

People were irritating her. She did not really want to deal with the empty greetings and the I missed you's from those who didn't really care. The only reason why the Head Girl was there was to see her best friend. Everyone else could eat Dragon Dung.

Speaking of dragon dung, her best friend- who was a crazy in her own right- was actually training with dragons. Yes, Gryffindor's old resident cookie girl was going to work with dragons and NOT the cookie kind. The redhead really didn't get it either, but whatever made her friend happy.

Gah! Where in Merlin's bloody name was she?! She had promised that she would be there and Selina had even come to the library! Which was sort of a huge deal... Especially if anyone knew her. Big deal.

And then, like a chill, she knew Kurumi was there. The redhead turned around on her heel, WHICH she was totally wearing, and saw her best friend across a crowded room. Her blue eyes got all glazed over- NOT BECAUSE SHE WAS CRYING... she just had something in her eye- and she beamed at her. Rushing through the crowd of people and totally pushing...

"KURRRRRUUUUMMMMMIIII!"

Her arms flew around her best friend and enveloped her in a hug.

Noticing Nia settling the books down onto the table made Finn remembered that he'd wrote that cheque. Sure the two books from Nia were probably enough, but Finn had wanted to provide something too. He knew his mother probably would too. He smiled down at his girlfriend, reaching into his pocket to pull out the cheque, before placing it down onto the table. There, all sorted. Maybe they'd buy something in the auction. If Nia wanted something Finn was very up for buying it for her. He was nice like that. He knew how to treat his girl. Perhaps he could get her a little present. Might be hard without her really noticing though.

"Of course. My specs look the best." Because he really suited glasses so much. At least they'd taken the little glass bits out because he probably wouldn't have been able to see at all. That would not be good for Finn at all. Because he'd probably fall over. "Oooh?" She'd brought him a prop? That was cool. He took it from her, examining it. Ahh. It was the sonic screwdriver. That was so cool. He liked it. "So...I can sonic things now?" Because that would just make his costume look totally the best ever. "Aren't you just perfect..." He smiled, tugging her a little closer so he could press a kiss to her cheek.

Oh. Trust Nia to say that. Finn laughed, shaking her head at her. "I meant people." Because he too knew quite a lot of the characters that were in here. He shrugged at what she said next. "I'm not too sure..."

Ella BEAMED when Kurumi said she'd missed her too, doing everything in her power not to squish the older girl to death. She just couldn't believe that people as cool as Kurumi and Sir Treyen would actually miss someone like her, Ella Bishop. It was mind boggling, really. "Yearbook is really good! I um...I'm trying to make you proud." And the fact that she was telling Sir Treyen about this made Ella turn very pink. BLUSH. It wasn't that big of a deal...OnlyittotallywastoElla. O____O Her OWN egg? "YOUR OWN EGG?!" And yes, Ella had sort of yelled that and had a ridiculously sheepish smile on her face but still KURUMI'S OWN EGG! "That's just..." JHFJHGLKGHLH! "It's brilliant! I'm super jealous!" Honestly. TEHEHEHE and Kurumi was totally blushing over Sir Lewis which made Ella smile knowingly. "Be sure to tell him I said helloooo!" And that she fully planned on planning their wedding for them still. GRIN!

Treyen was happy to be here too? BEAMMMMMM! This was great news because if he wasn't so happy to be here, he probably wouldn't feel like chatting to Ella which would be just...super sad. Mhm! The blonde frowned the tiniest bit when she heard Miss Ellie wasn't coming. She figured it was probably because of super cool important Quidditch type stuff so she just sort of shrugged. "Will you tell her I say hello, please?" Because Miss Ellie was missed, yup! "And I'm happy you're great, Sir Treyen!" Because that was really important too!

Ella giggled at Sir Treyen and sort of twirled her magnifying glass in her hands. "Maybe we'll get to solve a mystery during this thing!" And her eyebrows wiggled playfully, mind turning with possibilities. That would be the COOLEST thing ever, solving crimes with Sir Treyen. "Maybe Professor Botros would help too, he's the Sherlock dude." GRIN!

Keefer was making Ella all smiley because he too seemed genuinely happy to be back. "We miss you on the pitch, y'know?" But Nessie was doing an awesome job in his place and he'd be just...REALLY proud of her. Oh! And he was training because he was a super awesome Quidditch star now, huh? BEAM! "Is it really hard, the training?" Because she had lots of questions about professional quidditch...for reasons. "Oh I'm just...busy with classes and trying out for the team." GRIN. "Hopefully I'll make it on as a chaser." That was the plan, at least.

"Ohhhh yeah, I knew it looked familiar." And the boofire had been quite fun! The fifteen year old BEAMED when he complimented her costume, glancing at Sir Treyen before smiling again at Keefer. "Thanks! I'm Nancy Drew...Sir Treyen bought me one of the books and now I'm quite fascinated by her." Cause she was AWESOME!


Ohhh a mixture of the two? That was quite a good thought, actually! "Like a hybrid or something!" Yeah, that seemed totally legit. The blonde sort of spaced out for a minute imagining the Loch Ness monster and a Dinosaur wedding, a small smile on her face. That was until her captain seemed to like the investigating idea. BEAM! "Yesss! Yes, we totally should! It'll be fun!" BOUNCE. BOUNCE. BOU-

And suddenly, as if out of some like creatures gone wild video, the Dino/Dragon/Loch Ness Monster TACKLED knocked Ella to the ground, making her drop her magnifying glass and everything. THE HORROR! And this person, this large green CHILD TACKLER, was just going to leave her on the floor and go on making its weird creature noises? MEAN!

The blonde sort of just BLINKED after the ex-CoMC professor person, in shock. She snapped out of it when she heard Nessie calling her name. "Hmmm?" She said, green eyes looking up at the older badger. "Oh I'm okay..." Ella said, letting Nessie help her up. "I...yeah, an apology." And she trailed behind the red head, a frown on her face.

Attacked by a dragon person, how strange.

Finally getting her full Anna Valerious costume put together she walked out of the Slytherin dorm room and rushed to the Library Event. Who knows what she had missed already and wondered who might be there, but Elektra wasn't one to really mingle and make many friends, but hey...if she saw someone or something interesting maybe she might make a few conversations. Only time was going to tell with this girl. As she walked into the library she looked around and then walked towards a table grabbing a name sticker, placed in on her chest and walked towards the auction. She was ready to have some fun.

"I can see why that is." she chuckled lightly, glancing to the crowd of people inside the library, either looking at what was going to be auctioned off or at the supposed food table. Alas, she didn't want to hold up the line here. Even though Leo's costume was rather interesting. "Vell, good luck here. Ve'll be seeing you inside soon?"

Just as she pointed out their former, and still nowadays, group a little ways away, she heard hers and Josh's name being called out. A very familiar voice at that and once she found the face to match it, Evelyn smiled and waved back. Josh pretty much said all the words she would've, though she did manage to give Kurumi a thumbs up.

Mmhmm, nice...dress up. Thing. What was she?

Evelyn would have to ask later.



Following alongside Josh, she was going to start taking a breath to greet her friends, but her attempts were interrupted by the sudden halt of her boyfriend, which made her inevitably halt as well. Looking towards him, she noticed he seemed to be staring at something, and not in the most happiest of ways. Oh? Turning her gaze to focus on what it was, or who it was, she stared at the older woman. Cassandra?

...

Nope, the name didn't ring any bells. Perhaps she was a co-worker.

Staring for a moment longer, even after she was tugged along towards their friends, Evelyn frowned a little before a smile lit up her face at the sight of...two specific snakes. Ahem, their husbands weren't exactly on her favorite list. "Hey you two." Evelyn gave two quick hugs to her two best friends before a polite smile was shown towards Marie's husband. "Hello, Matty. Nice to see you again."

She just stared at Carter.

Not that Jonathan was complaining it was nice to meet and greet some familiar faces. He has been seeing so many of them around this part of the castle already but he's just keeping it on the down low. However, Cassie is an exception. Heh. Jonathan gave a really big smile when she mentioned about him looking great, because most people just thought Romania is a place where he has shortage of food supply and that didn't sound great even one bit. "Thanks. I just heard about the auction and immediately apparated over here" still he is wondering about the consequences he will get if he ever saw Alexander roaming around Hogwarts as well. Now that is utterly scary. "You haven't changed a bit" he complimented. Well, Cassie is already fashionable from way before and yeah, she got herself a little upgrade (must be a working thing, you get to buy more expensive clothes or actually, just more clothes when you have the salary for it). "You came from work?" possibly yes? maybe no?

It was weird seeing her all smiley in front of him. What was in her head? Whoah, hopefully no reminiscing of the good old days and she gets to call him ickle.

Actually I'm just here to see some old faces and be at Hogwarts again. You?

No bidding for her then? Bidding for Jonathan and then a not-so quick visit through the tables with the buffet and then meet some more new people "I'm doing all of the above." auction,eat and greet. "Did you come with someone else?" well most of the people in this room sorta did. Maybe she did too.

"It is! 'Cause I don't want your costume to get messed up." Kyroh nodded before sticking the name tag right below his. OH! Sword man? Papa- "It's Spiderman you aren't suppose to say my last name!" Kyroh said in a hushed voice.

That was suppose to be a SECRET! What if someone who wrote the newspaper heard?


Right. His name was a secret. "Sorry Spiderman. What was I thinking." Dash shook his head and let out a fake sigh before chuckling.

They were here, so, it was safe to say he was in a good mood now.

"You usually are on point. Unless you disagree with me." Dash smirked at the small kiss, and took Althea's free hand in his. "Come on, we better go take a seat at the auction." He paused. "Don't kill me." Because....he had found out news this morning. Which...he hadn't quite told the Department Head. It was safer not to.

Lex giggled a bit. "Me too. There's more fun to be had on that side." Nothing ever happened when you walked around being afraid of everything but your shadow...

Althooooough...that made life an adventure all on its own, didn't it? If you went around being afraid of everything then it gave you something to try conquering! That thought almost made her wish she hadn't already conquered most of her fears because then she'd be able to give herself a grand adventure. There were still a few things she figured she needed to get over so maybe that's what she'd do. Yup. It sounded like a plan.

Oh? Name tags? She grabbed two, scribbled her name on one and her father's on the other then clipped it onto him with a BEAM that only got wider when he chuckled and thanked her. She liked helping him.

Michael frowned a bit. [b]"I'm sorry, I've never heard about that one. Was it a muggle book? He didn't make a habit of reading those very often. Yes they could be interesting but very little else. That was why he didn't mind Lex not liking to read so much. It made it less likely for her to fill her head with too much garbage from bad sources. He gave a light chuckle. So Lex hadn't been making her dislike for reading unknown. It figured. "Maybe you could teach her the joys?" And he gave her a little wink even though he knew her efforts would most likely be wasted.

Lex gasped. "You don't like desserts?! How come??" Yes she was going to ignore everything else the girl said for right now because this was a serious matter!!!

"You'll have to stay right by me then, so people know and you can tell them you're wearing my nametag for me." She was smiling to herself at Kyroh telling his dad off. Cute much? And Dash playing along...

She laced their fingers together when he took her hand.

........................ she gave him a suspicious look but turned her attention to Kyroh.

"Come on Spiderman, you can choose which paddle we use." And SHE would find out why Dash was worried about possible death.

Shane was slightly nervous as he walked hesitantly over to the media table. It had taken him a while to decide on a costume but finally he had his choice and after spending a little while getting ready he found himself finally read to join the auction. He tended to get slightly nervous around a lot of people especially when professors were around. His cape was just long enough to touch the floor as he looked down at the elegant black suit he had chosen. His hair was slick back and upon his face he wore the white mask that deemed him the Phantom of the Opera. He reached out his gloved hand to take a name tag and etched his name over it so it read 'Hi My Name is Shane' He quickly stuck it to the front of his suit jacket and headed to get himself a number paddle.

Carter smiled and gave the Snake a hug. Seeeee. That wasn't so bad. He then grinned. "Yeah. I am." he said happily. "I just thought... you know... that I could do something worthwhile." Even if that sounded completely cheesy. But Marie knew full well that he had always planned on trying to help other muggleborn kids adjust. So. This might be perfect.

He then laughed lightly. "I've always been completely mature." Lie.

And there was Mr. Marie. And yes. That's what he was called. "'Ello." he greeted back. He was still unsure, after all these years, of what to call him. Matty just didn't seem appropriate to call another male.



Carter grinned seeing his former house mate and best friend. (After Destiny, of course.) He watched as he greeted both the Mrs. and Marie. And he was just about to give his friend a hug when.

"Merlin people." he said looking around. "I am not a candycane. I need to donate a set of those books to each of you." He was OBVIOUSLY Waldo. And they needed to get out more if they couldn't tell.

AND EVELYN WAS STARING NOW TOO! "Err... hey..."

Yeah. Looks from everyone.

He wrapped an arm around Destiny and pulled her closer. "... Destiny likes how I look." And if she didn't, she was about to lie about it.

Minerva laughed, she always seemed to be able to surprise him with her hugs from behind. Maybe she should stop doing that, but what fun would that be. No she wouldn't stop. "Well that's awesome, glad your doing so well." Oh the team, yeah that had been a hard one this term. "Well last term I didn't play on the team. Because of family things I didn't get to school until late and missed tryouts. So I became the announcer and it was so much fun. This term I am going out for the team, but there are so many great players, that I just don't know." Shrugging a bit, she smiled, "If I don't make it I can always announce again, no biggie." She wasn't to worried, either way she would have fun. "Anyway, what's new with you? Any big career or love news." Of course she would ask her former crush captain these questions, Minerva was always wanting to know everything.



Minerva was talking and having a good time when something stopped her dead in her tracks. She looked blankly at the two adults not really caring if they saw her or not at the moment. She was shocked... YES SHOCKED at what she saw. Maybe she just was shocked because she didn't want to believe it, no she had saw something wrong. That was it.. W-R-O-N-G... Looking again she saw the hand holding and felt sick. What on earth could Professor Shirmer see in him.. No personality.. seemed so full of himself and then there was the kid.. WHAT A MINUTE.. that wasn't her kid, no she didn't have a kid with...him. That couldn't be right, she had been in Professor Shirmer's office a few times, there had been no pictures of kids, right. It had been a few years ago, but Min felt she would have remembered that.

She knew that she was just a kid and had no say in any of this and it was none of her business, but she just couldn't stop looking and watching them leave the room. She looked up to Professor Shirmer and this, well this was like a kid being told that candy will make their teeth go bad, or that their favorite story characters weren't actually real. Minerva stood there even after they left trying to make sense of what a smart, nice, great person saw in him.. She really just couldn't figure it out. That wasn't her reasoning for coming back and being part of the board was it? No.. no she would never do that.. Minerva had so many questions, but could she actually be allowed to ask them, probably not..

Aoife Farrell needed this to go well. In fact it was imperative that this went well. She needed to scope out the candidates and make sure she was presented in a good light for their first impression of her. Today she was sweet innocent Aoife with a bubbly personality and an enthusiasm for charity work. Only when she actually got the job would she switch to cool, calculating Aoife who knew exactly how to bring her candidate to the top.

Dressed in an elf costume - supposedly one from the Muggle book The Lord of the Rings, which her mother had read to her and her brothers throughout their childhood - Aoife glided into the library with an enthusiastic smile on her face. She went up to the desk and dropped off her galleons AND a book - Seventy-Three Ways to Catch the Snitch in Ten Minutes, bought new for the occasion. See how GENEROUS she was?

She adjusted the silver ear pieces attached over her ears. She'd always thought the human skin looking ones looked tacky and they never matched her skin tone anyway. These ones looked gorgeous in her opinion. She had made a real effort in her costume, hoping to stand out from the crowd and attract people. Well here was her chance.

She stood on tiptoe to look over the crowd then realised it was pointless. It wasn't like the candidates would have neon sings over their heads. Aoife would have to look for them the old fashioned way.

Okay, that wasn't exactly supposed to be a literal question. More of a... 'Hey, we should probably try an keep in touch more often' type of statementy question thing. "Yeah, and how's that going? How long is that program, anyways?" Like, another year, another three years, what? But then the redhead sighed disgustedly. "I know, man, I'm sorry. I feel like I'm just finally getting this pro Quidditch lifestyle and schedule figured out, so I think I'm going to be able to be more consistent on that now." As in... at least sending an owl once a month or something.

Keefer chuckled. "Yeah, so I guess it's not all that lame, then, huh?" This pleased him. He'd thought that he would have the absolute worst costume there. Then again, there was a guy walking around in a dinosaur costume, so in hindsight he need not have worried. "I wish Lewis had made it up for this." He threw a glance at Kurumi. Maybe he'd ask her where that guy had gotten off to. Oh, but back to Treyen. "Oh right! Yeah, I love a good mystery!" And... "You could totally pull off the handlebar mustache and bubble-blowing pipe thing, dude." Because he was Treyen Lockhart and that was enough reason.


"Kurumi!" He flashed her a big smile before asking, "Where's my man Lewis?" Then he flashed her an apologetic smile. Obviously they weren't attached at the hip or anything, but... Lewis was definitely his closer friend. She would understand that, though. "I'm doing well! Loving playing for Montrose!" With an eye roll, he continued. "Except it's making me realize how atrociously horrid I was at Keeping when I was at Hogwarts. I had terrible form.." Aaaaand she didn't care, probably. She'd had that incident awhile back and was sort of afraid of flying, right? Then, with a knowing twinkle in his eye, he broached the topic he knew she'd want to hear about. "But it doesn't leave me much time for a social life, unfortunately. This is the first time I've really hung out with anyone outside the team for quite a long time." From that statement he hoped she would infer that he wasn't exactly seeing a lot of Kate. Because... he'd rather not have to say it ALOUD.


"Ah, yeah, I know. Sorry about that. But I hear that Mancini kid was pretty good, too! Hadley's nephew or something, right?" He tried to pull the dusty facts from the back of his brain. It'd been awhile since he had met up with the crew on that Hogsmeade weekend and asked about it. "Anyways, this past season has made me realize how actually rotten I was back in school. Yeah, the training is so much more intense than at Hogwarts." But that was to be expected, after all. Then he remembered something. "But you won the Cup last year! Congrats!" And that also sort of meant... "So you'll have no problem getting on this year. I've seen you play, Ells. Any Captain would be CRAZY cut you." And he wasn't just being nice. It was TRUE.

Smiling, he nodded at her recognition. That had been a fun night. "I can't believe you still call him 'Sir' after all this time!" Not that there was anything wrong with that, but it was just endearing. There were many things about Ella that were endearing.



A look of surprise appeared on his face but then passed quickly. "Aww, sorry to hear that! Hopefully it's all sorted out now." The family stuff, that is. "I'd hate to miss the first bit of school. You'd have to just start in the middle of lessons and miss a bunch of stuff." So everyone else would've gotten all the summer cobwebs out and be in full throttle while you're stuck trying to tread water. Not ideal. "But I bet you were a stellar announcer. You're pretty knowledgeable about the game, at least. More than I can say for a few other announcers I've heard in my day." Like the one for Pride of Portree last season. Ridiculously bad. "But that's a good thing. Always nice to have a backup plan!"

"New with me? Eh, not much. Still playing for Montrose. But no, there's not any love news, Min." He winked at her. Minerva always had been a bit too interested in his love life for Keefer's liking.

Okay, so maybe he was a little later than he'd hoped to be, but he could be forgiven, especially with what he was donating to the library though no one would know it was him because he'd not left his name on anything. As far as they were aware, it was an anonymous donation; he didn't need to be recognised for what he was giving, all he needed was one person to benefit from it and become just as brilliant as himself and he'd be perfectly happy.

Charles placed a bag of galleons which had an unbelievable amount of the gold coins in it and a note attached* and then looked around the room at everyone's costumes. This was certainly something he'd not expected to show up to for very long, but seeing all the costumes was fantastic! He took a 'Hello, my name is...' badge, wrote his name on it and then moved to stand by a wall, watching everyone interact. He loved it when he could just watch people.

Ryan had to scratch his head at that one. "Er, I'm not sure. Maybe they do, maybe they don't," he said. He had actually never seen a newspaper in his house but that could just be ignorance on his part. It didn't really matter to him anyway. Now he looked up as she corrected his previous statement. "I'm a fifth year, so I think I'm taking those OWL things this year. Yeah, I guess I COULD study in here...if I study." With Chris. SNORT.

"You donated a pygmy puff?" Weren't those things really girly? He didn't really want one but to please her, he might just bid on it. It might even be so ugly that he could outbid it. Who knew. And then, since he didn't like them, he could give it to his girlfriend or something.

Cool. Right. He nodded his head and glanced over at the food table. "Er, you wanna grab some food? I'm starving," He said as his stomach grumbled. Because food was always more important than books and...basically everything.

All of this HAIR...was SO MUCH FUN!

Violet eagerly came into the Library carrying not only her dress, but her book to donate, and....a LOT of her hair that she had charmed just for this auction. One could pretty easily find out that she was dressed as the Grimms Fairy Tale Princess, Rapunzel. And aside from almost tripping over her long hair, she was quite enjoying this look, a lot!

She walked up to the table placing the required sickles she needed to enter, as well as a book she was donating. Apparently it was written by a Muggle name..William Shakespeare..And it was called, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Her mother would tell her that it was her favorite book from the Muggle World,and that it enchanted her imagination as a young girl, so thought why not let it do the same for someone else. She then picked up a name tag and then wrote her name on it.

"It's good to see you too!" Kurumi chirped, waving a bit more at Josh and Evelyn. They both looked a little busy catching up with their classmates, so Kurumi would leave them to that and do some catching up of her own with them later.
Cue more blushing from Kurumi at the mention of Lewis. One would have assumed that after they had been together for two years, living together, and ... never mind that last bit ... but one would have assumed that she would have stopped blushing at the sheer mention of his name. Then again, this was Kurumi and she could blush at the drop of the Sorting Hat. "Lewis couldn't make it," she said with a small frown. "He had to work, but really wanted to come. He will be so upset he didn't get to see you. He misses you."

And Keefer was talking about Quidditch...which still sort of went in one ear and out the other despite her knowledge and MILD appreciation of the sport increasing over the past year thanks to he being given the opportunity to announce at matches. "That's ... good..." Or well, that last bit wasn't so good. Being too busy to see people that is. "You should make time," she nodded. "At least an evening or an afternoon off sometime."

Smiling, Kurumi looked around for a glass of pumpkin juice or something. She was starting to get a little hungry and thirsty and, well, she really just missed Hogwarts' pumpkin juice to be honest. No one made it like the house elves...

WERE THEY HERE?! She really wanted to see them all again if possible...

Oh, right, back to Ella. Ahem. "I'm glad to hear it! Not that I doubt it to be otherwise," she said with a wink. Yes, something that had rubbed off on her from Sire Treyen. "YES! My own egg! I tested out of the basic level class for infant dragon care thanks to Professor Williamson and am taking the intermediate course instead. I just took a personality test the other day that will supposedly match me with my dragon. I get to stay with them until they reach adulthood and have to be moved to the reservation." Where she interned anyway, so she would get to see her dragon all the time.

"I will," she chirped. Merlin, Lewis was going to be so sad he missed all this. Kurumi wanted him to be here too, of course.

Kurumi wasn't sure whose arms were more suffocating right now - her own or Selina's - because the two of them seemed to be in an epic battle to see who could out squeeze the other. "I'vemissedyousomuchohmygosh," she rambled, squishing her best friend just a little more.

Okay, it was getting a little hard to breathe now. Maybe she should loosen her grip a little and then Selina would loosen her's and then the both of them could breathe again and not look so purple in the face, yes?

"How are things? Are you sleeping? Eating? What is this about you and Dylan? How is being Head Girl? Is Alexa behaving? Have you seen Tinka?" So many questions...so little time... There was an auction that she needed to go check out as well...but Selina came first. Duh.

Kurumi HAD borrowed the books from the library after that meeting in Hogsmeade Selina had held to try and find Mortimer and had done so mostly because she hated not knowing what people were talking about and the Sherlock Holmes stories were among those.

Now she knew though, so yay!

"Um...I mean...same," she replied with a small laugh. "It was really weird coming here after you graduated and going to our spot. You know, sitting next to an empty chair and all." And now that same chair wasn't occupied by her. Was it strange for students now? Not seeing her in the library she meant. Maybe, maybe not. First years didn't even know of her existence after all.

SQUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUISH!

Kurumi missed these sorts of interactions - hugs. They were not something that she found at university. Not yet at least. Everyone was still new and while she had made a few university friends it just wasn't the same. Nothing was on THIS level just yet.

"I've missed you too Ella," Kurumi squeaked. "How is yearbook going? Oh, Treyen, Ella took over as student editor for me." Yep, and Kurumi was super pleased with her decision to do so. "I'm good! University is fantastic and I am loving studying dragonolgy. Next semester I will even get my own egg to take care of in the Incubation Center." HER VERY OWN DRAGON EGG! LDSKJFLDSJFLSKLJ. And then there was a mention of Lewis and Kurumi's cheeks were back to a rosy glow and her right hand began to idly play with a certain finger on her left hand - although there was nothing there to see. "Lewis is fantastic good. He is really sorry he couldn't make it though." He had really wanted to come too.

Nancy Drew? UG! Here she thought that she was caught up with detective stories... apparently not. SIGH.

And from the Ella!Bear hug Kurumi heard another familiar voice. "Keefer!" Oh man was Lewis going to hate that he couldn't come even more now. Treyen AND Keefer in the same place - and everyone else as well, but Lewis was always going on about how the two boys had been so influential on his Hogwarts days. "How are you? What have you been up to?" What happened with him and Kate?!

And then Kurumi spotted someone through the crowed - or sensed her really. Kurumi had a sort of Lewisdar that was accurate within a pretty wide radius...but she also had Selinadar that was just as effective.

Somehow wiggling her way out of the Ella and Treyen hug, Kurumi ducked around a few people and squinted at the costumed red head juuuuuuuuuuuust to be sure. Nope. No doubt in her mind who that was and Kurumi felt her eyes water up instantly and she shot Treyen a quick glance that hopefully explained it all. Treyen was still well versed in Kurumi, yes?

Practically leaping across the library now, Kurumi's arms spread nice and wide and READY to hug her best friend who she hadn't seen in forever two months.

"SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINA!!!"

Nah, come on, he was never wrong. Even if he knew Kurumi was right. Though, what he'd meant to say was that he didn't intend to make her react that way, it was merely...a plus? Either way, he knew he was to blame, but indirectly, so to speak.

"Of course," THAT was his answer, along with a chuckle.

A chuckle that soon turned into laughter, her imitation was rather amusing.

Awwww. "It must have been," he had it easy, because he didn't have to return to the places where his friends weren't. Which sort of made him realize how tough a time Ellie must've had returning for that final year.

Kurumi was now greeting Selina, so he focused his attention on the little Hufflepuff with them. They'll soon be walking in, anyway.

Treyen was happy to be here too? BEAMMMMMM! This was great news because if he wasn't so happy to be here, he probably wouldn't feel like chatting to Ella which would be just...super sad. Mhm! The blonde frowned the tiniest bit when she heard Miss Ellie wasn't coming. She figured it was probably because of super cool important Quidditch type stuff so she just sort of shrugged. "Will you tell her I say hello, please?" Because Miss Ellie was missed, yup! "And I'm happy you're great, Sir Treyen!" Because that was really important too!

Ella giggled at Sir Treyen and sort of twirled her magnifying glass in her hands. "Maybe we'll get to solve a mystery during this thing!" And her eyebrows wiggled playfully, mind turning with possibilities. That would be the COOLEST thing ever, solving crimes with Sir Treyen. "Maybe Professor Botros would help too, he's the Sherlock dude." GRIN!

Keefer was making Ella all smiley because he too seemed genuinely happy to be back. "We miss you on the pitch, y'know?" But Nessie was doing an awesome job in his place and he'd be just...REALLY proud of her. Oh! And he was training because he was a super awesome Quidditch star now, huh? BEAM! "Is it really hard, the training?" Because she had lots of questions about professional quidditch...for reasons. "Oh I'm just...busy with classes and trying out for the team." GRIN. "Hopefully I'll make it on as a chaser." That was the plan, at least.

"Ohhhh yeah, I knew it looked familiar." And the boofire had been quite fun! The fifteen year old BEAMED when he complimented her costume, glancing at Sir Treyen before smiling again at Keefer. "Thanks! I'm Nancy Drew...Sir Treyen bought me one of the books and now I'm quite fascinated by her." Cause she was AWESOME!

Precious. "Of course, I'll tell her, I'm sure she'll be pleased," that he didn't get eaten by a book, and that Ella said 'Hi'. Also, that Ella wished she'd been here. Treyen could do that. No problem at all.

The former Hufflepuff beamed at her after she pointed out how grateful she was for his well-being, "How's my elephant, by the way?" the little keychain, of course.

Oh, really? "Maybe we will," he said, adding a wink for confirmation, maybe we'll solve the mystery of whether Alice takes home the broom or not, "Oh, he's a Professor? What does he teach?" it was clear he was wise, because that came with age.

There might have been a smirk and a chuckle when Ella was explaining her costume to Keefer.

That was so cool. He liked it. "So...I can sonic things now?" Because that would just make his costume look totally the best ever. "Aren't you just perfect..." He smiled, tugging her a little closer so he could press a kiss to her cheek.

Oh. Trust Nia to say that. Finn laughed, shaking her head at her. "I meant people." Because he too knew quite a lot of the characters that were in here. He shrugged at what she said next. "I'm not too sure..."

And, look at that! Finn was here too, with Nia. He'll go up to them in a minute or two. Or later on at the auction. He'd missed Finn so much. As much as he loved living with Ellie, it really wasn't the same as having Finn as a roommate.

Definitely not the same.

"Three years, this is my last," which was a bit saddening, he was maybe hoping they'd take him as an assistant professor after he graduated, but he needed to focus on this final year first and work, "I'm also working for a new company, I'll send you tickets soon," to their new play, of course, which he was so excited about because he got to wear suits and be all evil. It was fun!

"Don't worry, I know what that's like. I probably wouldn't be seeing Ellie as much as I do now if we didn't live together," which was true, because they were together when Ellie started practices and he stopped working for a little while. If he'd kept on working...then he would've seen her on games only.

Whaaaat? His costume? "Of course not," he didn't have to deal with a mustache, which was a little annoying because he wasn't used to it. "Oh, me too," sucks that he's at work. "At least Kurumi made it." Which...really had nothing to do with Lewis, truth be told. Oh? He could? "I'm not so sure about the mustache," Treyen said, chuckling a bit.

Selina just wanted to hug her Kurumi until she burst and yes, she meant to say HER Kurumi. The redhead always thought it was funny how people spoke about how Kurumi was their good friend this and their best friend that. Um, no. Selina did not SHARE. People could be friends with her sister but best friends? They would need to chat with Mortimer if they thought that.

ANYWAY, she was having a sort of time breathing... and her lungs felt like they might collapse. So she released her friend a little, but rocked them back and forth as they hugged. Merlin, she had missed this girl.

Staying locked in their hug, she tried to process all of Kurumi's questions. There were quite a few, but she felt like she was prepared to just riddle off answers. Taking a deep breath, she plunged, "Good... Most nights... Obviously... What do you mean... Um, its just a badge... Never... And no." Tinka was her... cousin, yeah?

Ethan was watching everyone as they walked in or walked around, trying to figure out the different costumes.. as well as try to recognize someone he might know. Seemed like there was quite a few alumni here and they were unfamiliar. He was just about to head in towards the auction area when he caught sight of someone walking towards him.

Chuckling as she spoke, Ethan tilted his head to take in her appearance. "Min.. is that you?" Of course it was.. just took him a second to recognize her. "Thanks," he said with a grin. "I like yours too.. Who's your character? I'm not sure I'm familiar with her.." Cute though.

Mariel had been a bit hesitant to step back into the corridors of Hogwarts. It had been a number of years since she graced the castle with her presence and she was certain she'd feel out of place in a school full of new people. But when she heard of the fundraiser to help rebuild one of her favorite spots at school, she knew she had to go. Shaking off the slight apprehension, the brunette stepped into the library dressed as one of her favorite childhood literary figures, Mary Poppins.

Not willing to spare any of her own books, Mariel deposited the galleons at the table and took a cursory glance around the room. Quite a few people there already.. and she wasn't really surprised to not see anyone that she recognized.. though she had sort of hoped deep down that one of her old school friends might have made an appearance. She spotted her nephew and his girlfriend, and gave them a nod and smile as she walked past, looking for someone her own age to mingle with. They had their own friends anyway.

The young woman started to walk into the auction area when her green eyes landed on a head of blonde hair that was all at once very familiar. Was it..? Yes, she thought, as she slowly grinned. She'd recognize that shock of blonde anywhere. "Nia?" she called to the other woman as she slightly pulled up on her swishy skirt to rush over to her. "Nia Newtington! Is that really you?"

Minerva shrugged, "It was no big deal. I jumped right back into classes. You know me.. When it comes to books and classes I blend in well." It wasn't unknown she was a bit on the nerdish side when it came to classes. She was over trying to pretend she wasn't. As for the family things, "Yes, I think finally after a few years I can say the family things are sorted out. I am living with my muggle grandparents now, which has been a good change."

Minerva's eyes brightened talking about announcing, "Oh it was fun, Professor Vindictius wanted me to pull in the stands with the game. So some didn't like hearing their names or who they were coupled with on the mic, but it was for the entertainment. They got over it..." Minerva shrugged it off and laughed, it was so much fun and she didn't mind doing it again if she didn't make the team. Shaking her head she smiled, "Well one of these days there will be something new in that love life of yours.."Someone as cute as him would not be single long, Minerva knew he avoided it in school, but it wasn't going to last much longer she was sure.



Minerva smiled and did a little twirl for Ethan to take in her costume, "It's Judy B. Jones, one of my favorite characters as a child. She is always into things and getting into trouble. I always secretly wanted to be able to do that kind of stuff, but I was never one that liked being in trouble." Looking around, "There are so many people here. This is great for the library." She still couldn't believe she missed the fire last term, but it was for the best that she didn't know. "So are you having fun? You look cute by the way."

Then looking around she noticed someone, "Is that your cousin over there?" She had only met her once over the summer, but she couldn't be wrong and it might not be the same person, since everyone was dressed up, could be a mistake.
