As the man pushed out his hand to shake, Sarah shook it politely and replied looking at
her costume and putting her bonnet back on
"well, I am dressed as Laura from the 'Little House on the Prarie Series'. Have you read the books? I read a lot, there is a wealth of information and enjoyment to be had from reading," yes Alexa
"I especially like historical fiction, that is why many of the books I read are from the 19th and 20th centuries. I have a lot of favourite books so I chose this one as it was simplest. I know Alexa does not enjoy reading though - different strokes for different folks as my mother always says, yet do you read?" said the reading addict who talked too much.
Turning back to Alexa she said
"well, I am here for it all. I don't really have the money on me to auction, yet it will be entertaining. Then I am a major foodie so I will like the food, there are desserts too, although I am not a big desserts fan, yet hopefully there are sweets as well and then I like reading and books and I like to help out in the library so I really like the cause. Speaking of which - when are we going in? I am STARVED" Lex giggled a bit.
"Me too. There's more fun to be had on that side." Nothing ever happened when you walked around being afraid of everything but your shadow...
Althooooough...that made life an adventure all on its own, didn't it? If you went around being afraid of everything then it gave you something to try conquering! That thought almost made her wish she hadn't already conquered most of her fears because then she'd be able to give herself a grand adventure. There were still a few things she figured she needed to get over so maybe that's what she'd do. Yup. It sounded like a plan.
Oh? Name tags? She grabbed two, scribbled her name on one and her father's on the other then clipped it onto him with a BEAM that only got wider when he chuckled and thanked her. She liked helping him.
Michael frowned a bit. [b]"I'm sorry, I've never heard about that one. Was it a muggle book? He didn't make a habit of reading those very often. Yes they could be interesting but very little else. That was why he didn't mind Lex not liking to read so much. It made it less likely for her to fill her head with too much garbage from bad sources. He gave a light chuckle. So Lex hadn't been making her dislike for reading unknown. It figured. "Maybe you could teach her the joys?" And he gave her a little wink even though he knew her efforts would most likely be wasted.
Lex gasped.
"You don't like desserts?! How come??" Yes she was going to ignore everything else the girl said for right now because this was a serious matter!!!
