Okay so Ellura had managed a correct answer for the last superhero, giving an ability once shge knew a name. However his alter ego wasn't something she had known and so she stayed quiet as the rest of the class had answered. And then the next person...next superhero...was revealed by the boy by holding up another comic book and she was even more clueless as to the identity. He vaguely looked familiar as if having seen it in passing but not enough to recognize and identify. Superheroes just weren't really her line of interest. So much for her managing alright in this class. The third year settling on just taking notes on what was being said for now. Ellura just didn't feel right with making any random guesses and surely others in the class would make better ones. |
Mika was so excited to see spiderman - really a man who was infected by a radioactive spiderbite was sooooooo much cooler than an actual spider. Actual spiders were just icky, gross, and creeptastic. "That Kyroh is Spiderman....he's a man who was bitten by a radioactive spider and became all superawesome and no longer needed eyeglasses....yeah he's pretty awesome and totally not creepy like actual spiders." She admitted with a big grin. SPOILER!!: notes |
Lex rolled her eyes at the BoG woman's question. Was she trying to make little Kyroh look bad? What did it matter what all this had to do with History of Magic. The important thing was that they were sitting in a classroom, learning instead of being allowed to simply run around like headless chicken. She should have thought of that before she spoke so of course Lex was pleased with the response Professor Scabior offered for his son. Good. Take that rude woman who liked giving people stink eyes. Yeah, she remembered. ANYWAY, turning back to the little professor she watched his face fall. That as too bad because after his question she had a question for him but now she would have felt bad about asking... "That's Spiderman, isn't it? I think his other name's Parker...Peter Parker...or something like that...also...CouldIHaveAChocolateFrogToo???" >.< |
Blink. Blink. Wait... Melody seen something like this before while she was in Muggle London with her parents. The guy was on a poster advertising for a movie. She did her best to think. What was that movie. She had to think hard, she didn't pay too much attention. "Oh!" She exclaimed, "The Amazing Spiderman!" She grinned proud of herself actually remembering the movie title. That had to be it... right? Just don't ask her the name. It's not like she watched the movie. |
Nigel thought it seemed that Kyroh was more excited about Spider-Man than superman. Maybe Kyroh liked Marvel better, Nigel thought.Hmm.. Theo was be loving him right now. But back to who Spider-Man was. "That is Spider-Man. Who's real name is Peter Parker. He was bitten by a radioactive spider and gained strength and agility of a spider as well as a Spider-Sense. Which tells him if danger is nearby. Plus he was created by Stan Lee." Stan Lee has created a lot of great superheroes. |
Jory raised his hands the second he looked at the picture. It was one of his favourite superheroes, after all. And by the looks of it, he might be Kyroh's favourite too. "That's Spiderman,'' he said, his hand in the air. "But his real name is Peter Parker.'' |
Amelia began to quickly make more notes about how the boy, the son of the professor was completely directing the lesson. The man would make a couple of remarks, but that was just about it. Didn't the professor realize that she was there to evaluate him, and how was she supposed to evaluate him if he wasn't even doing any of the teaching. Clucking her tongue she looked down at her sheet of parchment that was filled with notes, they were for the most part disapproving, but what could she say. Were all of the professors bringing in their children to teach? |
This was more or less a foreign language class for Aspen. She, like her brother, was listening and absorbing but.... ??? She definitely wasn't familiar with muggle comics. That said, she did make a few notes. Such as.. 1. Muggles are unimaginative in naming their "super heroes" 2. Man, man, man, this class is tipped in the testosterone-y way 3. Superman is boring Quote:
This Nolan fellow. He could probably be Superman. Dull. Bow tie. Bored expression. Admittedly, she was thinking about which charms would switch his underwear to the outside of his pants... Hmm... |
Huh. So he, West Odessa, was partly Superman? He DID have an Eidetic memory. And he could fly when he had his broom anyways. .... Okay he was bored of muggle stuff now, but at least he had a chocolate frog. Win. He opened it. |
Augusta knew little about superheros, even though she had practically grown up in the muggle world. She was more into fashion than reading comics. She raised her hand anyway "Professor, that superhero is Spiderman." she said with some chagrin in her voice. 'Even I know that' she thought. |
Squint. Who on Earth was that?! It was all creepy with his face all covered, and just..., "Another super...," she started to say, after having raised her hand, "...person?" Yeah, 'person', because it could've been a supervillain, you know? Not superhero. Either way, he still had to be super, and it looked like a person, unless it was from outer space, too. See, this was the sort of lesson that had to be made in the Astronomy tower. |
The kid seemed down and suddenly Peyton felt something. Like when her little brother would pout and she'd eventually give in to whatever he wanted. That wasn't fair. She was supposed to be the one with that kind of power. The next question sparked Peyton's attention, though. So without any further thought, her hand shot into the air, straight as an arrow. "That's Peter Parker, the Amazing Spiderman." Ooooh yeah! |

SPOILER!!: Everyone else who is right! Another tap of his wand and more things added to the board. They WERE getting somewhere. And quickly. Superman "Real" Name - Clark Kent Powers-
Spiderman "Real" Name - Peter Parker Powers- "So-" Kyroh took a deep breath. Oh. He was thirsty now. He needed some juice. Or water? Water would be good too. "-He is my favourite. And yes, his name is Spiderman, and his real name is Peter Parker." His eyes widened again, suddenly happy once more. "You can remember him because he doesn't wear his underwear on the wrong side. So he's a bit smarter than the others. And he WAS bitten by a radioactive-" He felt smart just SAYING that word. "-Spider. And that spider gave him his powers. Who knows Spidermans powers?" Because the class knew everything, so they should know this too right? |
They were more superheroes? Gah. Alice was so confused, even after all the Muggle Studies stuff last term. He didn't really pay attention. And, really, who wanted to learn about a guy in a skintight red and blue suit? I mean, the smartest thing to do would be to cover their eyes. But she DID know one power. "He can shoot webby stuff from his fingers. And basically do everything that a Spider can." Inference. He WAS like a spider, right? And then she kind of sat there and stared at the mini professor and waited for him to continue. |
"An Acromantula man would be cooler." West commented. Just saying. He was at a loss for giving answers to the questions now, since the only comic book characters he was familiar with were wizarding ones. He started to idly sketch stuff. Bored. But y'know, still listening. |
Nerida raised her hand...Even though she hated Superman she still knew some of his powers... "He can climb walls..." Normal people couldn't do that...How awesome would that be if they did though? |
OH! So, he was a superhero, then. Good...for him? Lottie shrugged. What if he kept giving everyone chocolate frogs and they all got away? Funny thought. Which made her snort, a little, so....she needed to cover this up, hand up, "Spidey-senses? And spider-things? You know...does whatever a spider can." THAT MADE TOTAL SENSE! Lottie did well on LOGIC. Thankfully. |
Hmmmm.......take notes or sleep? That was the question. She really didn't want to make Professor Scabior look bad in front of the BOG candidates. But, judging by the looks on their faces, they already weren't too impressed. So, she put her head down on the desk. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. |
She's heard Kennedy and Johnathan The snake raised her hand once more, getting a bit more into the lesson. "He's got superhuman strength," she chirped, maybe a bit too excited. What? He was cool with webs and the swinging from building to building thing. *__* |

BEAMING. Oh, yes. She was still beaming because Professor Kyroh (*GIGGLE*) said her answer was right. Not directly though, but still...she got the correct answer. And he was his favorite! The brunette quickly took note of that. What else did he like? Oh, right. They were in a lesson. And they weren't talking about Kyroh's favorites. They were tackling all about Spiderman now and what his powers are. So...his powers. Hand up! "Well Kyroooooooh, he also possesses this so called sixth sense...or spider sense which readily alerts him to any danger that comes his way. AND, he also has a perfect sense of balance and equilibrium." You know, the characteristics of a spider. |
Alyssa listened as the others gave their answers as to Spiderman's power. Once everyone was done, she slowly raised her hand. "Kyroh, Spiderman has exceptional agility, reflexes and strength. He can also jump long distances....just like a spider can." Yep she had even seen a spider do that. It scared her sister crazy when she had tried to destroy its web. The spider first hung on to the web before jumping onto her head. Alyssa laughed when she recalled that memory. |
Sarah raised her hand. "He can climb walls" she said. She did not think that Spiderman had a good influence on muggle boys as a couple of them had, as the horror stories are told, tried to immitate his antics like jumping out of windows or climbing walls, only to fail. Luckily in her house no one was exposed to superheros so much. Although Sarah, when ounger had managed to drive people up the walls... that was unspiderman related. |
No catch up posts. *nods* Quote:
Kat raised her hand. Powers and abilities right? "He is a self- telekinetic," the blonde nodded. Kinda because it was a 'side effect' on being half-spider. Well, anyway. Did she get a chocolate frog? |
Christmas raised her hand and said "Well spiderman has got spider senses and also he can shoot webs from his hands" |
