Laura looked at the guy and smiled as she raised her hand. "It's Batman." Laura smiled, "Either him or Robin who was his partner, they were both awesome," but which would the boy be on about. |
Alyssa could guess. The super trio although she still didn't agree that Batman should have been in that category because technically he didn't have any super abilities. He had gadgets that made him cool and helped him fight villains, but definitely not his own x-ray vision or super strength. Reluctantly, she raised up her hand. "Kyroh I know most people are saying Batman but he didn't have any superpowers. So I'm going to have to say Flash Gordon or Green Lantern. If you haven't read their comics, you should."Alyssa suggested. |
Alex felt like shaking his head at this child. One more that everyone knew? Please, there were TONS! What about Ironman? The Hulk? Thor? These were all superheroes Alex was sure people had heard of before. Still, he had a slight idea he knew who he was asking about, so he raised his hand. "The last one is probably Batman, if I had to guess," he informed the boy. Little kids loved Batman for some reason. |
Aww. Kyroh didn't know what self-telekinetic was. Kat reminded herself to tell him the meaning of the word later on, for his future references. But right now, she didn't want to disrupt the class and went with the flow of the lesson. Hand up, yeah. "But there are a lot of superheroes besides Superman and Spiderman," Kat pointed out. They can't just pick one of them all. "But Batman's my choice, since he has the word man." That was... Logical. Maybe. At least she used her observing sense, you know. Still logical.... To her anyway. Oh, did she still get a chocolate frog? |
Okay, this lesson was getting really hard and even though the ickle was SUPER cute, which he totally was, he was asking a round of some of the hardest questions she had ever heard in ANY class. Merlin, this class was a HUGE wake-up call. She really had to pay more attention in Muggle Studies right now. But she did feel pretty confident about this last question. She had never really heard of the other super heroes, but now that the ickle was asking about another big one Selina vaguely remembered one. Her friends had all mentioned him and said that he was the COOLEST of all of the super people. It was a hero, right? Yeah. She thought so. "The Joker is one, right?" What a cool name for a super hero. Merlin. |
So, she was napping, dreaming of New York and all of it's fun things to do, when all of a sudden someone was yelling in her ear. "HOLEY CHEESE AND CRACKERS, BATMAN!" Sky yelled waking up, jumping, banging her leg on the bottom of her desk and unintentionally giving the correct answer all at once. Looking around, she spotted the professor's son hurrying back up to the front and realized that he must of been the one to yell. Good grief. She really hoped they got to the point soon, before she fell asleep again...... |
How ruuuuuude. She'd asked him for a chocolate frog and he all but ignored her. The kid was lucky he was so cute and besides...she had a few in the pocket of her robe. First rule of attending classes at Hogwarts, never attend without candy. Duh. But could she have one now? She didn't want to go having herself a mini feast then losing points because of it. Candy was never something one should be punished for. That was just mean and the last time she checked Professor Scabior was mean. Yeah...she'd have one after class... No big deal. For now she focused on answering his question. "Sounds like the next one should be Batman; he's pretty famous too..." He was all Will talked about one summer and it had annoyed her more than he could ever imagine... |
"Wonder Woman," she decided. Could they have a FEMALE, please? "Or maybe Catwoman." They weren't going to be all masculine in here, were they? 'Cause that was kind of irritating. Of course, Alice was all for the HULK, too, and wouldn't blame the mini professor if he chose him. The Hulk liked to smash things. She liked to smash things. Therefore, she admired him. A lot. It made sense in her head, anyways. So.. the Hulk. Or Wonder Woman. Or Catwoman. Please? |
Minerva rolled her eyes a bit, are you kidding.. Everyone knew the third would be Batman, but she was bored with this so she decided not to say batman. Putting her hand up she waited her turn. "Could it be Green Lantern." Yes that was a different one, she knew it wasn't the most popular, but it was something other then the boring usual super heroes that they had to listen to. |
Everyone was saying Batman. It wasn't a bad suggestion, only if they were going after rodent-themed heroes, Mo was a much bigger fan of Mickey Mouse. Was Mickey a hero? He was cheerful and kind and he had a girlfriend who adored him. So that all seemed better than being masked and grumpy all the time. But it was probably not the popular opinion. "Batman," he finally shrugged. "He isn't my favorite. Doesn't even fly, which a proper bat should, you think?" |
Susan was sitting try to think of some Superhero she had heard of. Which was very limited to almost nonexistent. Susan vaguely remembered her grandpa saying something about some dude who wore armor or something. Lets see his name was.."Isn't there some guy named Ironguy? Or something like that." Well at least she was trying... |

Yea. Raising his hand, Dylan grinned at the younger boy. Adorable "You know...I'm going to go with popular vote and say Batman...I think just the fact that EVERYONE has answered with Batman...proves that it will BE Batman." Seriously. Leaning back in his seat, he sighed. The Slytherin was ready to get to the X-Men comics. BRING ON THE X-MEN! |
SPOILER!!: Batman "RIGHT! I knew lots of you would get it!" Quote:

- "Sooo Batman is right. It's Batman." Kyroh was getting tired of talking, and so thirsty. This was hard work. "And just in case some of you don't know about Batman, the first Batman's real name is Bruce Wayne. Casue there are two of them" He nodded. Yeah, he would TELL them instead of ask. "Batman doesn't really have any powers but he knows martial arts, and is smart and.... uh.......is rich. And being rich is like being a Superhero anyways because you can just buy anything you want." Like Batman! Uhhh.. "Batman also has sidekicks because since he is only rich he needs people to help him out! So he has a sidekick named Robin. But he's had like four of them, they are all called Robin so you just have to remember their real name." But he wasn't about to tell them their real name BECAUSSEEEEE-"So Superman. Spiderman. Batman. Those are the three okay?" Kyroh pointed to the board and turned to his father who had A WATER BOTTLE! Grabbing it he grinned at the class. "I'm done talking now okay? Bye!" But he wasn't going to leaave. Just roll his chair out of the way, opened the water bottle and started to chug it down. Superman "Real" Name - Clark Kent Powers-
Spiderman "Real" Name - Peter Parker Powers-
Batman (has sidekicks named Robin) "Real" Name - Bruce Wayne Powers?-
The board had been updated once more with everything Kyroh had said. Finally Scabior cleared his throat and almost switched spots with his son. "So now that you have all been updated or informed of major Muggle superheroes-" Reaching behind him Scabior picked up two comics, showing them both to the class. "These are Wizard comic books." Ones that he himself were more familiar with. "Who knows the names of the main characters in one or both books?" |
The second year rummaged in her bag for something, and then quietly sighed. No gum. That was very silly of her, not to carry gum around in case boredom happened. At least she got the spidey senses right. She sort of smiled. Amusing, it was, that without knowing anything about this topic she still managed to get questions right. So, Superman, Spiderman...and...people were saying 'Batman'? As a bat, he probably wasn't too popular, right? And to the girl who said 'Ironguy'...didn't she notice the trend? It sounded like 'Ironman' was more accurate. |

Alyssa looked at the comics that Professor Scabior was now showing in his hands. She recognized one of them even though she hadn't read either of them before. Raising her hand, she said,"Professor the main character in the first one you're holding is Martin Miggs, the mad muggle." |
One might think Sophie would be more familiar with those, but nope, not really. She knew basic stuff, like she did about Muggle comics. Oh well. It was still better than actual History of Magic, wasn't it? Yep, Alyssa was right. "That one is Martin Miggs and he's very strange." The things he said? Like... what? Sophie had tried reading a story once and she got lost on the first page. She had never read Loony Nonby before though, so she didn't really knew much about that one. |
Nerida happened to be gifted in both muggle comics and wizard comics..Both due to her brothers. But that was the lucky thing about having brothers. She raised her hand and said "That comic's main character is Martin Miggs.." She pointed towards each as she spoke about them "The other one's main character is Loony Nonby." She knew things about them but maybe the Professor didn't want those right now... |
Okay, this was just too much for her. Even the way Kyroh yelled sounded so adorable. And the way he broke off the news that only a few of them got the correct answers, she couldn't find it in herself to feel disappointed. Kyroh mentioned that he wished he was Spiderman. And for a brief moment, Beezus wondered if he was a pureblood, who his mother was, and if Professor Scabior got married in the past, or if the young boy would like to consider learning how to be an animagi so he can become a spider just as he hoped. She didn't have any answers to those though so she brushed off the thoughts afterwards. Reeling back herself to the discussion. Superman, Spiderman and.....? "Batman, Professor!" "Batman." "The batman!" "Batman." "Batman!" Okay, okay! Majority wins! And then Professor Scabior was taking the spot. BUT...BUT...KYROOOOOOHH!! Wizard comics. She knew those. The brunette raised her hand up. "One is Loony Nonby from the comic Loony Nonby vs. Cornish Pixie and the other one would be Martin Miggs, he is the main character of that other comic book," That one...yeah, the other one. She pointed. "..The Adventures of Martin Miggs, the Mad Muggle." |
Belle answered the question before it. She knew the other hero was Batman. That was obvious. She was familiar with it. Belle saw the comics the professor was holding. She read them sometimes at breakfast. Belle knew the Loony Nonby vs. Cornish Pixie one he was holding. Belle raised her hand, "Professor, the one reading Loony Nonby, the main character is Loony Nonby right?" Belle asked. She was not so familiar with the comic. Sometimes she skimmed right through. |
Dylan quill flew across his parchment. Naturally, he'd already known all these things...He'd grown up with muggle comics. Obviously this was his forte...Eyeing his notebook, the Slytherin made sure everything was in order before moving on... SPOILER!!: Dylan's History of Magic Notebook Now they were going to look at Wizarding ones...Meh, Dylan wasn't as familiar with these. He recognized Martin Miggs...but not the other. Who was Looney Nonby? Hmph. Sounded like a rather stupid title...Not nearly as cool as the muggle comics. WHEN were they going to look at X-MEN? "Martin Miggs, Sir." He'd asked for the main characters names... Some people were ridiculous know-it-alls. |

SPOILER!!: notes That lasted for a while. She started to get lazy during her spiderman drawing and only did two. And one drawing of batman. Maybe she could take a nap instead. |
They were really going to continue talking about comic books, and no one was going to mention Thor? Fine. That was fine. He was real, anyway, and too good for this classroom. Thor was not just a comic book character. Erik shrugged to himself and hid a yawn behind his hand. He might have to skip out early on his first Hogwarts lesson. It had little to do with Magic...so far...and had little activity other than questions and answers. Was it going to be more interesting now that the real professor was teaching? He HOPED so. For the man's sake. Surely he valued his job, since he had a son to provide for... |
Joker was a BAD GUY. Ugh, Selina knew that she was off. At least she would get A for effort, yes? Probably not, but she was NOT a Muggle nor did she have any real Muggle knowledge beyond what her friends had told her and what she had learned in school. SO she had tried her best and was proud she knew as much as she did, which was virtually nothing. Yeah, she was not proud of it, but what else could she do? BUT THEN THEY MOVED ONTO SOMETHING SHE KNEW. MAGIC COMICS. Ugh, they were so much better. They moved and had cool features, unlike Muggle comics. Raising her hand, she pointed out her favorite comic book as a kid, "That, sir, is Martin Miggs." And he was SO cool. |
Now that the muggle superheroes discussion had faded into the background, to be replaced by the wizarding ones, Ira quickly became bored. No, she wasn't familiar with wizarding comics. And her thoughts, according to her, muggle superheroes were coller, considering they were the only ones having some kind of special ability that others' ddn't have. Which when compared to wizarding heroes, was awesome. As all wizard could do magic. So not much special anyways, right?! Picking up her, she started doodling.. stifling a slight yawn, as some names like Loony and Miggs cropped up. Heh! The muggle superheroes were definitely better named! |
