*DEADPAN* They were learning about superheroes agaaaaain? Gah. Milton knew absolutely nothing about superheroes or comics or anything, even after all the Muggle Studies stuff last term. He didn't really pay attention. Comic books were simply not his thing, and a grown man wearing blue underwear over a stupid spandex outfit REALLY did not sound appealing. So, he sat there. And stared at the kid. Because he didn't know what else to do. |
They were learning about muggle comic books? And some guy named Superman...he looked a little funny in his outfit, but Sue wasn't going to say anything since she could tell that the professor's son was really into it. Sue didn't really know anything about Superhero's or comics for that matter. So she decided to let other students in the class answer while she took notes...did they need to take notes on this? It seemed a little silly but Sue wanted to make sure she got a good grade so she continued writing whatever the younger boy said. |
Text Cut: Peyton Seth held in a smirk and raised his eyebrows. He was always trying to push, Peyton's buttons. Yup, he was a fearless guy like that! .... Keeping his attention on the lesson, he decided not to answer this question until something relevant comes of it. Seriously? What's next? Anything that will actually be useful for school, or is this all they were going to learn? Seth respected, so he'll just sit there quietly and listen to everyone's answers and to what the Pro- ...er kid, had to teach and so on... |

She obviously had no idea of what Superman's real name was, so she remained quiet but still smiling. The Ravenclaw took notes of everything Professor Scabior was "writing" on the board. |
Text Cut: Dylan just stayed quiet cause he had no idea who that guy's name was, he barely knew who he was from his mom trying to get him interested in muggle stuff. But he was always partial to the wizarding world stuff, which always made him mom sad. So he just listened to what others were saying cause it seemed that they all had very similar answers, saying his name was Kal-El or something funny like that "What everyone else said" he said after putting his hand up of course, cause they just had to be correct.. yeah? You couldnt have a whole class saying the wrong answers.. right? So he says that everyone was right and that it was that Kal-El business. He then looked at the bored of this guys super powers, and Dylan's eyes were as wide as saucer. "Cool!" he blurted out without meaning to and immediately pretended to be noting down these superpowers, cause he didnt say anything at all.. nope not him! Man he would LOVE to have all those super powers, that would be so cool to do and to actually have those powers? Amazing! |
Clark Kent. That was an easy answer and students began repeating it. Peyton decided that her participation was not needed since there were two answers to it and everyone seem eager to answer. She paid attention though. She had to. If not then she'd most likely get distracted and have no idea what was going on, and when it came time for homework she'd be forced to cheat off of Seth. That and she HAD to keep her grades up or no Quidditch. That's a deal she made with her daddy. Oh weeeeell. |
SPOILER!!: Professor and Kyroh! ... THIS WAS HIS SON?! O____________O Alec just blinked at the little guy -- Kyroh, was it? Yeah. -- who had stopped spinning around. Wow. This was... new. Alec put his elbow on the desk and his chin on the palm of his hand as he watched the little kid, a smile playing across his face. As long as the kid wasn't mean or anything. Oh? And what was that he was- ... GRIN GRIN GRIN GRIN GRIN. SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPERMAN! Alec's eyes immediately lit up and he sat up a little straighter. This was going to be HIS FAVOURITE LESSON EVER. Especially if it was about SUPERMAN. And judging by all the questions that were being asked by Kyroh -- could he call the guy Professor Scabior Jr? -- it seemed as it it was about Superman. HOW AWESOME WAS THIS. And everyone knew Clark Kent, yeah? YEAH. And since most of the students had already said that, the fifteen year old simply sat there and GRINNED at the comic book. ... Would he be able to borrow that...? Hm... |
Dear Merlin, this class was moving along! Either that, or Sierra had pretty much zoned out for a while. How many questions had gone by? Enough for them to go from 'Hey, Kyroh' to 'What is Superman's real name'. Sierra actually knew about Superman. This was one time, in her opinion, that Muggle Studies proved to be useful. They'd done a whole year on superheroes and villans last school year. She raised her hand. Did she have to raise her hand to Kyroh? "It's Clark Kent," she said. She had no idea about all those planet names that Kat was going on about. She just knew the basics, which was pretty much what they'd gone over last school year. |
So Professor Scabior's son was the cutest and he'd given her a chocolate frog and they were talking about Superman. Best class ever? YUP! The blonde bounced a bit in her seat as she scribbled down all the powers Superman's real name? Ella smiled a little and raised her hand. "Superman is also known as Clark Kent, who's a reporter for the Daily Planet." Just saying. |
Cassia liked the idea of having a kid give the lesson. Change was good, not that the snake got bored of Scabior. No the man was a bearable professor and he was on Cassia's editable list of cool people. For a very simple reason that he had taken them to the city of Atlantis two years ago! Mhmm..The snake remembered. So back to the bouncing kid who was giving chocolate frogs...Cassia was eyeing people who got ones. So what was the man's name. The thirteen years old only remembered the 'Clark' part because it sounded cool....She thought. Though while she recalled the name like ALL the class spoke it first. The snake turned to look at her classmates and stared a bit. How come they answer so fast while it took her a while. Meh..At least she remembered...half of the name. "Clark.." She muttered with a shrug not feeling it was necessary but still. And another stare at the students. |
*clears throat* Imma just go ahead and play catch up now...*mellow* SPOILER!!: Professor and Kyroh Lex giggled at the little adorable one. "It wasn't a staring contest silly, I just like staring at new things." He was new after all because she'd never seen him before and he obviously didn't attend any past classes that she was in. Was staring at new things a crime any way? It was fun and he had a nice face. Quite adorable. She liked looking at adorable things too...but only in moderation...short attention span and all that. She looked to the Professor when he answered her question. It surprized her a bit that he actually bothered to answer so naturally she gave him a wide smile. "That's good to hear!" With that she skipped over to a seat. The lesson was gonna start soon anyway. SPOILER!!: Kyroh's Question NO WAY! The Kyroh kid was gonna be teaching the lesson! Coool--wait...he wasn't gonna try taking points from them too like his father right? And that brought her to the next thing she would be spazzing out about. The professor had a son??? She looked at the thin book in his hand and was instantly reminded of last year's Muggle Studies class. Did she have to raise her hand for him...she did anyway. "That's a comic book!" She didn't see the need to mention that it was a muggle one...wasn't that kind of obvious? She thought it was. SPOILER!!: Next Question Well of course they were smart and Kyroh was plenty smart for realizing that. He was a pretty decent kid who seemed nice and excitable. That was the best combination right there, especially the excitable part. Who didn't like a hyped up kid? She sat forward on her seat, resting her arms in a folded position on her desk. See? She was even being interested--but only because this didn't have anything to do with history so far and she was more than okay with that. His next question wasn't too bad either. "He's got super strength and super speed and a whole bunch of super other things!" That right there was a fact. The dude was superman, he had to have all that and more or he'd be some lame rip-off that got stones hurled at him every time he walked around a muggle market or something by unsatisfied children who'd all gotten their dreams crushed. Duh. [Spoiler=Kyroh again!] Quote:
Lex eyed the board suspiciously. Was she supposed to have taken those things down? They were common knowledge for the most part. If it came up again she'd taken them down but for now she'd keep her attention on the 'new' professor. Pfffffft. Was that a serious question. "Clark Kent." She said with a nod. Yeah she knew the answer. She had been knowing the answer for the whole class so far. Professor Scabior needed to take a page out of his son's book. The kid knew how to entertain so naturally she'd be more likely to pay attention. When the Professor did stuff she didn't have a clue what he was going on about!...or maybe that had more to do with the subject matter that he was teaching.... |

And since everyone in the class knew his secret identity AND his alien name, it seemed to prove Mo's point. He raised his hand. "Tiny professor, I'm pretty sure I didn't ruin anything, on account of everyone already knew the premise of Superman, and if they didn't, I was just explaining the plot. But I'm sorry if I ruined it for someone, because Superman who is Clark Kent who is Kal-el is a pretty awesome dude." |
Selina totally knew what was going on. Yeup. Except she had never read a comic book in her life, which, she supposed, was a SLIGHT hiccup in this lesson. But come on, look how cute the kid was. She had to at least try her best to understand what was going on. So she just listened to everyone around him and then rose her hand |
Superman had a name? WHAT? Wasn't his name just Superman? Alice stared at the little kid blankly. His name was Superman, wasn't it? If wasn't, then why did they even call him that? Comic books had been LYING to her, hadn't they? Betrayed That's how she felt. So apparently his REAL name was Clark Kent, then? Superman sounded much more awesome, though. Just saying. |
Superdorkgirl decided it was time to pipe up again, because Superman was superawesome and had a superboring real name...except his krypotonian one that is. That was simple, to the point, and awesome. "Er, his kyrptonian name is Kal-El...well, Kal is the first name El's the last name...according to kyrptonian traditions." She nodded excitedly. "But he's um...named Clark Kent otherwise by his adoptive parents. WHO are super lucky i might ad. How many people can say they adopted an alien?" Yeah lucky. She wanted an alien super-person-family member. |
Penelope was actually sorta enjoying this class. Or at least she was enjoying it more than usual. Probably because the kid - Kyroh, right? - was talking and teaching, and he was honestly pretty entertaining. She hadn't really provided any answers, partly because the other students answered a lot faster than she could think of the answers, but she WAS still paying attention and actually listening instead of only half-listening or pretending to pay attention. She continued with her silence for this question as well, but maybe the next one she would attempt to answer. |
West was DONE with answering.... because he didn't know about this super muggle alien. He listened though. |
catching up *dies* SPOILER!!: Kyroh Oh...so he was Scabior's son? Cute. Nina wasn't expecting Kyroh to give the lesson which was weird because a little kid was now their professor. Hmm. The Slytherin eyed the book the boy was holding and everyone had to know what it was. " A comic book" she nodded. Easy one. SPOILER!!: Kyroh Kyroh's explanation made Nina chuckled. Now the class was more interesting and again the boy asked another question and even though many had already answered she didn't cared and said "He can fly" Yes and that was cool. SPOILER!!: Kyroh This next question she decided not to answer because it was pretty clear what was Superman's real name. Instead Nina waited for Kyroh to continue on and see what this lesson was going to be about. |
Were her eyes glazed over yet? No? 'Cause was getting boring and everyone was just repeating answers. So, instead of adding to the growing pile of 'Clark Kent' answers, Sky asked a question of her own. "I'm sorry, but what does this have to do with History of Magic? Unless you're about to tell us that Superman is real and a wizard.....?" She said it in the politest way possible. |
Minerva listened as other spoke and then the boy talked again. So this was interesting not hearing Scabiors talk.. The boy was interesting even if it was just dumb comic books.. Minerva had no interest in comics and didn't understand how it went with history of magic, but maybe because superman had magical powers or something. Putting her hand up she waited her turn, "Well I'm not sure if he had a different name on his planet, but on earth his secret identity name was Clark Kent." Well at least it was in the TV show her mother use to watch when she was young. Louis and Clark was something her mother loved to watch. She smiled thinking about it. |
SPOILER!!: Answers with Clark or Kal-El Woah. They really DID know a lot. Quote:
Chocolate frog for not ruining stuff! Quote:

She didn't want to learn about Superheroes? It was the second time that the question had been asked and that was TWO times too many for Scabior. "Like I said before which you would know if you were paying attention, it will make sense soon. So if I were you i'd either answer the questions or take take notes." Right? Good. He flicked his wand once more, updating the board before motioning for his son to go on. Superman "Real" Name - Clark Kent Powers-
- "Um...." Kyroh looked down at the ground, suddenly sad because...there were some people who didn't want to learn about superheroes. "Um...." Walking over to the desk he grabbed another comic. "So, everyone was right. Almost everyone. But I think that counts for everyone. Superman's real name was Clark Kent but it was also Kal-El." Kyroh said a bit quieter. If SOME of them didn't want to learn about Superheroes then they could go to sleep. The couldn't learn and sleep right? "Do you guys know who THIS is?" He asked holding up the comic. The guys real name. Or his superhero name. Or BOTH. He was The BEST MUGGLE Superhero EVER!! So they HAD to know!! OOC: Joining in after the class has stared is COMPLETELY fine. Catch up posts however are not. "catching up" will not earn you anymore points. In fact there really is no point of them. They only confuse the timeline of the class. So I ask that 'catchup' posts not be posted, just answer the most recent question asked. Thank you! |
Alex was a bit confused as to why they were learning about superheroes. He was pretty sure this had NOTHING to do with history. Still, he knew a thing or two about superheroes and if it got him points, so be it! He raised his hand with a smile. "That's Spiderman. Also known as Peter Parker," Alex said with a grin at the little boy. Awwwwww he was so cute. Hehe. And so excited about teaching the class! It was precious. xxxx Nolan sat in the back of the class next to Erik and gave the man a look of confusion and raised his eyebrows. Wait, wasn't this History of Magic? Then why were they learning about superheroes? And why was a CHILD teaching them? Nolan simply hoped that Scabior would eventually get to the real point of his lesson soon. He was really lucky that Nolan wasn't the one EVALUATING him and he was just here to...watch. Then again, maybe Nolan just had high hopes. After all, he'd only ever experienced LAINEY as a History Professor and honestly, she was hard to beat. Still, he just didn't get the superhero thing. Hmmm. He just sat in silence, watching intently and straightening his bowtie every few minutes out of boredom. |
Alyssa looked at the picture on the next comic that Kyroh held up. She immediately raised her hand. "Kyroh...that's Spidey....I mean Spiderman." |
Laura looked at the Professor and raised her hand. "It's Spiderman." Laura really thought that he was awesome, "He got.." she stopped, she knew how he got the name also but he would probably ask that later so she held her tongue for now. |
Professor Scabior should be sued for having such an adorable kid like Kyroh! It was true that she, herself, didn't understand why they were talking about muggle superheroes at the moment when that class was History of Magic. Magic? History? Superheroes? Go figure. Yet she didn't care. REALLY. No care. Because Kyroh was TOO adorable of a kid to even think about the connection of the subject to the current discussion. She was taking a few notes though. She was in love.....with his charm. O.O....... Er, yeah. HUH? *BLINKBLINK* What in Merlin's trousers was she thinking?...Pssh. She was having too much pineapple juice these days that her mind is spewing nonsense. BUT...BUT...thinking that Kyroh was cute wasn't nonsense, right? She badly wanted to pinch his cheeks! Uuuggghh.. Mind! STOP! Okay, okay....back to the lesson. MEH. When mini!Scabior held up another comic, Beezus' hand went up. "That....." Omg. You're so cute! LET ME CUDDLE YOU! *coughcough* "....is Spiderman. He's also known by his non-superhero identity, Peter Parker." She said. |
