Now that Hecate could breathe, and had helped the young girl, she turned her wand towards the fire and as the Headmistress cast water, Hecate cast sand to smother the fire, making sure to cast some on Leobald's smoking hair.

Yeah...

First part, everyone was there. Looking at this Isfret weirdo who seemed so mad about something...

... And then the next minute, the library's reference section was on fire. There was so much smoke that Kat nearly choked to her death. She hated dark smoke... and to think it was also thick. Ugh, she was going to murder this Isfret bloke. She swears she will.

The blonde cast and Bubble-head charm on herself and followed the group of students going outside the library. Yeah, that means to say Sierra and her group of ickle younglings.

Byebye, Library.

Laura was suddenly in total shock, the library was on fire and if Is-ugly hadn't disappeared she would seriously have booted him into the next century but as it was she would have to wait to do that, at least now she could try and help the Professors, taking out her wand and casting the bubble-head charm she then looked for the headmaster, this smoke was coming fast. "I'm getting out of here." Laura hoped the Professor wouldn't mind her leaving but which way did she go, she suddenly saw Sierra and decided to follow her.

Sophia thought the spell to banish the evil entity was going pretty well. They would be done here and everyone could go shower sleep and be down for supper and it would be like this whole thing just had not happened...well two professors would be missing but besides that whole factor things would pretty much be back to normal.

Until of course...unsurprisingly more chaos ensued in the form of fire. This was not good.

In all the panic Sophia had lost sight of Leobald but knew that his heart was probably at his knee right now with his precious library on fire. Oh noooo. And that wasn't the only thing on fire either...his haaaaaaair!!!!

Luckily for him Hecate, did a good job of putting that out, though she was sure he'd have preferred the use of water to sand.

Anyways back to the chaos. The woman was happy when the headmistress instructed for the students to be evacuated from the library. They had done a good job of keeping them all alive this term which was quite an accomplishment actually considering.

She quickly performed the bubble head on herself and a few of the little ones who hadn't made it out yet then focused her attention on the flames.

"Aguamenti" Only jets of water were spewing from her wand..that just would not do!...Oh damn it focus Sophia. She tried again.

"Aguamenti!" And there waves of water..waves. INtent and focus was everything. If it wasn't for the threat of total destruction and death, this would probably be quite fun.

The banishing spell worked and with grim satisfaction Leobald watched as more and more of Isfret disspeared. Unfortunatley for them the entity wasn't done causing destruction. Just before Isfret vanished he unleashed a giant ball of flame in the library.

Now it wasn't just one book aflame Leobald noticed with complete and utter horror. The entire reference section was burning not just books now but also bookcases and shelves. Coughing as he inhaled the smoke from the flames he got even more angry then before. Grip tightening on his wand he strode over to stand in front of the nearest burning bookshelf eyes wide but focused. Pointing his wand at it he shouted. "AQUA ERUCTO!" The jets of water smothered the flames.

He was about to spin around to extingush another fire hazard when he was literally doused in a bag of sand. Spitting sand out and coughing because of all the smoke Leo shot Hecate a brief smile for putting out the fire in his hair.

Leo had known that some part of him was on fire, but he had sorta not registered it. All he saw were the flames that were eating up his beloved books. They needed to be SAVED.

Rushing over to the next fire hazard he shouted "AQUA ERUCTO!" and came shoulder to shoulder with the Headmistress and Sophia. "We need to work together to extinguish the fire before it spreads even more. Sophia would your weather spell work on the fire?"

He had to WORK not THINK. If he gave himself time to think he'd feel the throbbing pain in his heart for all the lost and burned up books.

Kurumi stayed back a bit and helped students evacuate the library while her one hand continued to hold on to Walnut who was still unconscious in her arms. At least she had had some sense to perform a little kitty sized Bubble Head Charm on him so he could breathe with all this smoke. Once younger students had been evacuated, Kurumi moved to leave herself when her path was blocked by the fire spreading.

With professors and the Headmistress casting water based spells all over the place, Kurumi was SO glad that she had made the extra effort earlier in the term to waterproof them while she had been recharming the Alphabetizing of the books. At least they didn't have to worry about water damage on the books. The floor and everything else...well...that was different,

And obviously this water wasn't enough and Kurumi moved towards the adults with her wand out. "Fire can't survive without oxygen," she coughed, remembering the events of the fire in the Potions storeroom her fourth year. "Despirutus Charm might help more than water." Kurumi then pointed her wand towards some of the flames. "Despiritus." And the flame began to die down and allowed her to move a bit forward toward the exit. She needed to get out NOW and get Walnut some help.

Gemma was surprised when the spell actually worked to get rid of the ghost...she had actually figured it would make him stronger or something knowing Myrtle and her antics. She was just fixing to congratulate the students, staff, and Myrtle when she realized the library was on fire....ON FIRE!!!

She gave Leo a face of condolences as she watched the books start going up into flames...she knew this was his baby...but atleast it was just the reference section...for now atleast.

Hearing her name come from the Headmistress' mouth, she squinted her eyes to hear over the commotion and the crackling and shook her head in understanding a few seconds after the statement...it had taken her a few seconds to let the order sink in.

She turned on her feet and yelled at the students, "You heard the Headmistress, let's get out of here....follow closely behind me and let's head to the Great Hall!" she said as she flicked her wand and water started coming out of her wand...it wasn't putting out the flames but they were getting pushed back enough for the students to have a path out of the Library.

So everything had kind of happened at once. The big evil had appeared and thrown a book through Myrtle. A flaming one no less, which was hastily put out by someone. Then the cats got in on the act - and Isabelle was never more pleased to see Walnut pee on something. When the spell had been cast, Issy had joined in with the others, saying it as loud and clear as she could. But the result wasn't quite what she was expecting.

It was a little more... violent. Isfret vanished, leaving behind his ball of flame, causing Issy to cough and splutter as the room filled with fire and smoke. Casting a bubble head charm, she looked across at Gemma as she ushered the remaining kids out of the room. Moving over towards Leo, Sophia and the Headmistress, Isabelle arced her wand as they had done and shouted "Aqua Eructo!" The stream of water smothered some of the flames closest to her, the ones about to lick at her feet. Shifting them out the way, she tried to wave her hand to clear some of the smoke and get a better look at where the water was needed. Merlin help them - everywhere.

"Aqua Eructo!"

"Can anyone see if it's working? There's so much smoke!"

Oakey moved closer and closer to the exit where Sierra had called him over to get out of the Library inferno he hurried over a quickly as possible and got to the exit. the Bubble-Head charm was doing it's work and Oakey was finally able to take deep long breathes, along with the comfort of breathing safely though came the realization that his shoulder had been burned pretty badly, and was in immense amounts of pain. he grasped at it with his free hand and looked aound at those who escaped before him. Professor Cerulean, Sierra, Penelope, Laura, Alexa, Katrina, and that little first year Hufflepuff were all here. Oakey felt oddly outnumbered...yet he still felt they were missing a few others. "Where's Kurumi, Selina, and Louisa!?" just because they were all student leaders didn't mean they should be all heroic-like he looked to Professor Cerulean with great concern, that fire was deadly! At least Charmer had the right idea to run scared when things took a sharp turn for the worse. Oakey faced the entrance for the Library and squinted as the heat got to his eyes. He could make out a few figures shooting out heavy streams of water and sand all over the library putting it out as quickly as possible, but the entrance wasn't getting any better! He was ready again to start shooting water on the flames when they too began to die down. Within the dieing flames Oakey could make out another figure making their way out "aguamenti" he cast the water from his wand again to help put out the already dying fire in front of him, then moved back some darted around to catch up with the others headed to the Great Hall.

Sierra did the best she could in rounding up what younger students she could still see. "Let's go, guys!" she called out. "If you can see me, follow me!" She fumbled around for a bit and managed to get a hold of her wand. Circling it around her head, she said, "Viseo Ebullio!" A bubble formed around her head just as the smoke nearly engulfed her. She took in a few breaths, enjoying the feel of being able to breathe normally again.

Once that was done, she darted out the library en route to the Great Hall.

OOC: If anybody is interested, my Charms charrie taught the Bubble-Head Charm as "Viseo Ebullio" and a circle of the wand around your head.

Laura was really upset, now the stupid ghost had tried to destroy the Library she hoped that the Professor could save the Library because it had loads of good books, she wanted to stay and help but knew she wouldn't be allowed so she decided to follow the Professor and go to the great hall.

Despite using the Bubble-head charm, Kat was still coughing. The smoke had made her eyes all teary and she could feel it tingly and all. It was annoying. Oh Kat was going to murder the Isfret bloke. SO BAD. She would love to set him on fire soon. Not that he was hot, ew. An oldie was not hot. But set him on fire to... die. YEAH. Or send me him Azkaban so the dementors can suck the soul out of his soul.

Soul-ception.

Running out of the library, Kat was following Sierra on the way out. "We should head to the Great Hall! That's what Professor Cerulean said!" Hopefully Sierra heard that over all the commotion.

Anastasia threw her arm up over her face in an attempt to keep from inhaling some of the smoke. Mental note made: she would never use another book in a bonfire. Too much smoke.

She also took note of the students using bubble head charms and quickly put on one of her own. There, that was better; now she could see what was going on. The redhead squirted some more water on a bookshelf, effectively putting it out as far as she could tell, but the problem was that it was hard to tell what was still burning and what wasn't.

Ugh. Didn't the library have any windows? Actually... it DID have windows, DIDN'T IT? Quickly, the redhead sprinted over to the far wall and started throwing open windows, letting the cool spring breeze take away some of the smoke from the reference section. She continued around the whole perimeter of the library, until ALL THE WINDOWS! were open and the smoke was slowly starting to clear.

"That's better," she breathed, coming full circle back to the group by the fire... or the collection of ashes, really. "Poor Leobald," she clucked, squirting some more wand water here and there wherever she saw a spark.

Reference books were expensive, too. Hopefully they'd be able to replace them next term...

It had happened so fast. Scabior had assumed the whole thing would just blow over. The ghost wasn't that dangerous without the plant. But it didn't. Instead....the whole library saw set a blaze.

His eyes widened just slightly. All the books some of which he had read but others.....the smoke entered his lungs, causing him to cough violently. Instead of producing a bubble head charm like the rest, he drew the collar of his shirt up to cover his nose, protecting him for the time being. As soon as he could breathe he drew his wand and quickly casted a extinguishing spell at the fire closest to him.

As each young student chased after Gemma he pointed his wand at them, creating a bubblehead charm for them.

The fire HAD to go out. "DO AN EXTINGUISHING SPELL." Scabior yelled before finally creating a bubblehead charm for himself. Merlin, didn't these people know anything? It was times like this where Willy would actually come in handy.

Throwing up an arm in front of his mouth and nose to protect him Leobald continued to relentlessly scurry from one side of the section extinguishing fires to the other. Hearing Kurumi's advice just before she left the left the library Leo pointed his wand at the biggest fire hazard and yelled "Desperitus Maxima!"

It seemed that the Headmistress was on to the same line of thinking when she threw open all the windows in the library. Without oxygen fuelling it the fire would soon die out.

Wiping sweat from his forehead he heard Dash's unmistakable voice. Leo blinked and then preformed a series of extinguishing spells of his own. It seemed to be paying off. The fires were slowly dying out around him.

Coughing Leobald wearily looked around the section; so many books had burned up. The only light amidst all the destruction was that the fire hadn't seemed to have spread to the other sections of the library.

"It's all right, it's all riiiiiight," Anastasia called out in a calm, nonchalant tone. She waved a bit of the lingering smoke out of her face and tapped her wand in her hand. Hmm. "How do you want to clean this up, Leobald? Such a shame, all these precious books..."

But at least Isfret was gone now. That was the most important thing.

Turning slightly as the Headmistress spoke to him Leobald just gazed around for a moment in silence. Clearing his throat as the last of the smoke left the library he said quietly. "Let's just get all the ash, dust and charcoal out of here for now, okay?" Going over to place a hand on the shelf that been burned most he asked "Shall I replace the shelf or keep it as it as a memory and a witness to what transpired in this section?" Leo wonderd. It was up to the Headmistress but maybe salvaging a half burned book or two could be good for rememberance.

Distractedly Leo conjured up a broom and directed it as it started to sweep up the ash on the floor.
