Another term and another lot of new faces and names to memorise. Then again, with such a good memory and the opportunity to watch the sorting, life was a lot easier.
Seren stood, arms by her side, rocking back and forth on her heels and toes. The first lesson would be... different to what she would usually do. Better in some ways, but not so much in others. Feeling all 'mixed emotions' about the task she had in mind, she waited for them to arrive.
Hopefully the students would be in a right enough state of mind to gather in front of her and not cause too much trouble. Despite her lack of instruction to do so.
OOC: The lesson will officially begin in approximately 12 hours. If you haven't done so already then please read through the Herbology Rules and Expectations and the SS Site Rules. All SS Board Rules apply. IC rule breaking will result in IC punishment, OOC rule breaking will result in OOC punishment. Please behave appropriately and most importantly... have fun. If you have any questions don't hesitate to send me a PM.
Guess this is my last post until tomorrow where I have to play catch up *cries*

Alyssa walked into the Greenhouse and breathed in the smell of the earth and the plants around her. 'It is good to be back here. This feels so much like my second home. Alyssa thought to herself.
She saw Professor Bentley standing with her arms by her side waiting for students to arrive. She walked up to her and smiled.
"Hello Professor Bentley. It is good to see you again. I hope that you had a wonderful Summer." Alyssa smiled in greeting.
She smiled one more time at the Professor before joining the other students gathering around the Professor.

Violet made her way into the Greenhouses with a cheery smile on her face. Before she had entered the greenhouse she stopped dead in her tracks and gasped. Did she remember to bring her dragon hide gloves?! Violet quickly opened her bag searching for a moment but breathed a sigh of relief when she had found them and pulled them out. She smiled again and continued on her way in her boots, which she made sure to wear today and not her heels. When she had read the items to bring on the notice board, it had said to not wear heels, which did Violet rather upset. But to make sure not to get in trouble, she wore her tied up brown boots, which barely had a heel on it instead.
She walked over towards the Professor with a kind smile and said politely,"Good morning Professor Bentley..Looking forwards to today's lesson.." After saying that and giving her a light nod, Violet made her way towards the other students seeing Selina & Kurumi. She eagerly waved towards them, moving to sit by them and gasped when she saw Ella. She quickly said,"Hi Elly Bean!" still loving the fact that she had come up with such a clever nickname for the younger Hufflepuff!

Awarlesta made her way into the greenhouses with the crowd of students. She looked around and spotted the Venomous Tentacula and slowly edged herself as far as possible. She then slipped on her dragonhide gloves, wiggling them in front of her. The professor walked by and she quietly said, "Hello, professor."

Cassia headed to the greenhouse muttering on her own head. You're going to be better in Herbology this term ,Cassia. That's it, her uneasiness with plants had to end. So when she entered the greenhouse her Slytherin-ish bag slung over her shoulder, Cassia tried not to look at anything that might be brought up there. Keeping her eyes fixed on the ground Cassia stepped closer to where she guessed the Professor was standing, "Good day Professor," Cassia said without glancing up at her. But wait...what if this was not the Professor and Cassia just greeted a tree or a plant! So the second-year risked to lift her eyes a liitle bit. Yup it was the woman. Nodding at the Professor ,Cassia turned on her heels and joined the other students. When will the class end again?

Dylan walked down to the greenhouses and he had a quick look inside at all the plants that were inside, and he smiled he couldn't believe the kind of plants they had in this place. Man he was going to have so much fun learning about them, some of them looked quite dangerous which was just awesome!
He walked into the Greenhouse looking around all the plants and kinda avoiding the ones that tried to get him "You missed me.. sorry" he whispered to one such plant as he ducked out of the way just in time, he didn't know what that plant was capable of and he didn't want to get injured before the class had even started he wanted to know what they were working with today.
He then noticed that the professor was there "Hello Professor..." what was her name again Dentley? no. no that was not it.. it was like that muggle transportation thing.. what was the name of that muggle kar.. oh right Bentley! "Hello Professor Bentley, Dylan Jacobs or DJ whichever is easiest for you, first year gryffindor" well it was better to introduce himself to a professor who hasn't met him yet although she probably remembered his name from the feast.
But how many names would she be able to remember so it was better this way, he then stood somewhere on the edge of the group of students so he could continue looking at all the plants that were around and wondering which one they would be working with today
Silvia walked down to the Greenhouses all the way from the Ravenclaw tower. Herbology wasn't her favorite subject, but it was bad either. Anf they had a good professor. Her dragonhide gloves were tucked in her bag; she had made sure to double check that she had them before leaving the dormitory.
She reached the group of gathering students and joined them waiting for the lesson to start. "Hello Professor," she said.

Ira walked into the greenhouse, with everything needed fitted into her slung back bag. She wasn't excited for the subject as much as she was looking forward for Professor Bentley.
Smiling at some familiar faces, she then greeted the professor, "Hello Professor Bentley!" she greeted cheerfully. "Had a good summer Professor?" ira asked with a smile on her face.
Then picking a spot, she went over and plopped down.
Sophie was already getting used to her schedule at Hogwarts again. Waking up early and all. She was getting the hang of it again. Not that she enjoyed it that much... but she didn't mind it that much either. It was okay.
Walking to the Greenhouses looking everything around her - she had missed that place, to be honest - Sophie nodded when she saw the older witch standing there. "Hello, professor Bentley." She greeted her with a small smile. The third year was actually in the mood to get her hands dirty that day. No need for gloves or anything. She wanted to feeeeel the earth on her hands. She hoped they'd do something like that today.

Cora happily skipped into the room. She didn't recognize anyone, but was excited to get started. She practically bumped into the professor, and smiled shyly, whispering a timid, "Sorry, Professor!" She really did need to get over her shyness. Note to self: work on that.
Her eyes scanned the room, looking for a friendly face. Happy anyway, she continued walking, humming to herself.

YES!! It was FINALLY time for the first Herbology lesson!! Cardigan could barely hold her excitement in. It was just so amazing to be back. She even had an esquisite flower hairpin to celebrate! It really brought out her faint caramel highlights. But the lesson wasn't about get hair, for that matter. Inside her sling, she held all her needed supplies: her dragon hide gloves, her textbooks, and all that other stuff. She was too delirious to remember at the moment. She'd have to check through her sling when it was time.
"Hullo Professor Bentley! How are you?", The snake asked, smiling slightly. Now, what were they going to do today? Perhaps something a little out of the ordinary, hmm? A little excitement will surely kick the year off with the bang! It seemed that all the classes were getting more exciting. To make up for the train fiasco, probably, to lighten up the mood.

Herbologyyyy....
Juliet hurriedly walked to Herbology class with the thought of getting late. Was she late? She has no idea but she did see students coming in just before her so she can not afford to be as worried. Upon entering the room, she saw that class hasn't started yet. She smiled walking in, NOW she can breath. Juliet took a seat in an empty seat near the front.
Smiled widely some more as she saw the professor "Good day professor" Bentley, if she can remember correctly.
Orr was excited for Herbology since she adored Professor Bentley. She skipped into the room with excitement eager to start the lesson. She wondered what the professor would do this year for their first lesson although she hoped that it would be something not so fond of trying to hurt them.
"Good Morning, Professor Bentley," She almost sang as she headed to find her seat.

Angel found herself oddly excited as she walked into the Herbology class unsure what she was supposed to expect let alone what she'd actually find once this class actually started, but then again she loved plants and Kurumi had already told her that this Professor was their head of house, and thankfully mentioned the name!
So putting a smile on her face, the young lioness made sure she at least looked completely confident compared to how she felt and decided to greet the Professor "Hello Professor Bentley"

isabel walked into the green house and surprised to feel sort of relaxed.maybe this wouldnt be so bad..Hello professor she said to the professor with a smile them went to find a seat
The Ravenclaw brunette adjusted her necktie before stepping inside the Greenhouse. She missed Herbology, Professor Bentley and most especially the plants! Hence, she was all smiles when she arrived. Her dark brown eyes surveyed the Greenhouse for anything unusual first. Well..Professor Bentley had quite a knack for exotic plants...
Coast was clear. She could see none. Or maybe one of her favorite Professors was just hiding another overlarge fanged geranium?
Heh. Beezus then approached the woman, "Hello Professor Seren!" And as usual, she was calling her by her first name. Beezus never got used to calling her Professor Bentley anyway. Then with a nod, she shuffled off towards Vickers direction, she eyed the girl who was with him, trying to rack her memory for any identification. But there was nothing. So she gave her a smile before turning to Vicker. "Hi Vickers." Smirk.

Elliot wasn't a fan of Herbology. The whole...being outside...getting dirty sometimes...and plants? didn't much excite. But she did like Professor Bentley. So it wasn't as bad as it could be, certainly not.
The blonde had tied her blonde hair(it was getting so long!) back into a tight pony, so it wouldn't bother her as she worked. She stepped into the greenhouse, and sighed.
"Hey, Beezwa-" she coughed, blinking a bit, smirked, and then corrected herself, "Beezus. Yes, hello there," she nodded at the girl she had just spoken to at the feast. Beezwax!
Heehee.
She then saw Cora...oops. She immediately hastened to her..."Hey..Cora..." she smirked at her...it was the first time they would be speaking since Elliot had gone all 'LET'S RAMPAGE' on everyone in the common room. Eh. She felt a bit bad for snapping at Cora. "Don't think I'm too nuts after yesterday..." she said, a little softer this time. Hmph.
Oh..and..."Hello, Professor Bentley..." she nodded to the professor...oops...she had almost forgotten. How rude would that have been?!

Reason: oops.
It was time for Herbology and, of course, this had the Head Boy bounding toward the greenhouses. After an entire summer of no plant contact, Kennedy was more than ready to get down and dirty with whatever plants Professor Bentley had ready for them.
Kennedy approach the fast growing group of students and waved at the professor. She was still as pretty as ever, heh. "Good day, Professor Bentley," he greeted with a confident smile, and went to stand near a Slytherin.

Anya actually loved this class. Plants were fun. She smiled a little glancing over her shoulder and readjusting her bag on her shoulder. Jake was coming, right? Slowpoke.
"Hello Professor." she said brightly as she entered the greenhouse. And hello to you all the plants of the greenhouse.
She fought the urge to introduce Jake to everyone and everything in the room. Why? Because it probably wasn't appropriate to say 'Ello Professor. This attractive face is my Jake. He's my boyfriend. Cool, huh?'
That... and she didn't really trust most of the everythings in the room. She was pretty sure 98% of the plants in the magical world ate people.
Which... might have been one of the reasons she liked herbology...
She then went to go stand near Alice. She was careful to leave plenty of room for Jake in the spot next to her. Hint hint.
Plus... he might have been holding some of her books. And she kind of needed those.

Emmaleigh eagerly headed out to the greenhouses. She loved herbology, it was definitely in her top five favorite classes.. There was just something about the plants, the smell of the greenhouse, and the dirt she wished she could get under her fingernails. She was also really glad to see that Professor Bentley was still at Hogwarts. Em had really enjoyed the woman’s classes, and was excited to be in her class again after an year and a half absence. She just hoped there wouldn’t be pixies involved. “Good day, Professor Bentley,” she said, giving the woman a smile, wondering if she would remember her, or, if she had even noticed she had gone.

If Sutton was honest, she was a bit nervous about herbology. On the surface, it seemed like it would be right up her alley! Herbology was pretty science-y as magic seemed to go, but Sutton had never been particularly good at keep things alive... or noticing when they died. She assumed that Herbology would be about way more than that, but caring for anything that couldn't tell her what was wrong was not a great example of well-placed trust.
Still, she would try her best and hope that she could get the hang of it. She wondered if magic plants still went through the same processes as normal plants. It was quite interesting to think of the symbiotic relationship between plants and animals... both needed one another. That was pretty cool.
As she came in the room, she walked to the professor to greet her because that was proper manners for anyone. "Good day, Professor Bentley. I'm Sutton Piatek," she said with a polite smile, extending her hand to the woman.
Once those introductions were finished, Sutton set off to find a desk. She glanced a few faces she knew, but they weren't people she knew very well, and this wasn't exactly a class she wanted to be with people she wanted to impress. Deciding it was for the best, she moved off into the greenhouse, situation herself and her belongings in an area mostly devoid of other students.
Beezus, and therefore Vickers and Vivi as well. xD (and of course Professor Bentley)

Kendall had nothing against Herbology. It wasn't really her best subject, but it wasn't her worst. It was pretty much just there, but closer to one of her likes than anything else. It was outside, or at least in the greenhouses, which were more outside than the classrooms inside the castle, plus she could always just pretend half of Professor Bentley's plants were magical creatures. The plant version of Roro the dragon, who she still missed. Either way, she made her way into the greenhouse for the first lesson of the year with a bright grin on her face, hair messily braided away from her face and emphasizing the pink streaks she refused to let vanish yet. "Hi Professor Bentley!," she greeted the professor, stopping in front of the woman for a moment. Were they all going to have to rock back and forth like that? She could do that. She didn't yet, though. Not until they were told to, and instead she let her eyes wander, trying to figure out what they were going to be working with today.
Instead of finding anything remotely interesting, her hazel eyes had landed on the familiar figure of Beezus over near one of the walls with a couple of older Claws, and she turned to head over. "Hi Beezus! Are we supposed to be grouping ourselves by House?," she asked, curious. She didn't think Professor Bentley had said anything like that, and there weren't any signs. But she could have missed them, seeing as she obviously wasn't first to arrive. She did look back at the two older students, however. If they had to work together, she may as well say something now. "Hi!" Introductions could wait. At least as long as the lesson didn't start right away, but there was usually group activities anyhow. Introductions could always happen then if they had to, but she wasn't being rude. Not like Abby, who she'd also seen in the greenhouse but had tried to avoid.

Plants!
Now this was something Terry was familiar with. He knew a fair amount about the support systems of life and so his confidence grew as he stepped into the greenhouses to go join the lesson. He was green fingered, his mother was as well despite the conflicts she had at the ministry and so he had been brought up around them.
He entered, looking around at what was displayed, plants of all different shapes and sizes. It was exciting, to be having a proper lesson instead of just his mother rambling on at him about different species. "Hello Professor" he spoke politely, giving her a soft smile. Was he supposed to introduce himself to her? They'd never had a lesson before. He chose to remain silent until she gave him instructions first.
He stood, joining the crowds, near to Cassia as she was so far, the only person the boy was familiar with. He gave her a smile but didn't say anything until he saw that she was just staring downwards. "Are you okay?" he whispered to her. She certainly didn't look it to him.
Despite that, Terry knew this was going to be a good lesson.

Herbology. That was an alright subject for Tag. He liked it, but he didn't love it and he was neither good nor bad with it. Tag was just stuck in the middle with this class. He walked into the Greenhouses and as he made his way through he quietly said to the Professor "Good day, Professor." Friendly, simple. Then he saw Anya and Alice, and an empty spot. With the smallest of a smile tipping at the corners of his lips Tag walked over to his girls and stood beside Anya, then leaned forward to give Alice a simple wave.
There, now if Tag had trouble in class he had Alice and Anya to ask for help.
Blue skipped into the greenhouses, smiling because the musical Annie said that you're never fully dressed without one and Blue liked being fully dressed. Yep.
Okay. First things first, say hi to the professor cause apparently they found it really rude if ya didn't. Which was fair enough really. A hello and a smile/beam/grin whatever brightened anyone's day. So, she BEAMed at the teacher. "Haaaaaai Professor!" And skipped to any empty spot along the table, with enough room to fit her friends in.
