Sooooo Aurora was in an awesome mood today! She had been playing her violin all morning, and that always put her in a good mood, so she decided to wander down to Hogsmeade; she didn't want to miss it this time - she hadn't had the time to go on the last Hogsmeade weekend.

So she walked down the street, trying to decide where to go first... The Three Broomsticks..? Or maybe she'd go to Gladrags... hmmm. Though she did need to go to Honeydukes at some point. So many things to choose from... So instead of choosing she just perched herself on a wall to watch people passing by.

She wasn't going to recognize him? Had he changed that much?

August was oddly relieved that she had walked right past him, it felt strange inside that he felt that way but he did. He didn't dislike her for breaking it off with him he just didn't know what to feel. He didn't want to be mad at her but he wasn't sure talking to her right now would make it any better.

Crap. She saw him.

"Bonjour." He said awkwardly, jamming his hands into his pockets, the cold air blowing from behind him and through his dark, curly hair. She looked pretty, her nose pink from the cold but August wasn't her boyfriend anymore; his instinct to go up and kiss her wasn't appropriate anymore.

Oh wow.... this was... interesting.

Also, awkward.

She resisted the urge to wrinkle her nose at the LANGUAGE he was using. Ick. French. She still didn't like anything that had to do with that stupid country. "You're-" HERE. He was HERE, right infront of her. So very close. Taryn too had to resist her instincts, she wanted to wrap her arms around his neck and hug him tight, but... she just didn't. "Um... taller."

Right. Taryn. DUMB. She blushed, though she hoped that the cold would mask the true reason for her pink cheeks. "What are you... doing here?"

Yes he was taller and yes this situation had just started with its awkwardness. The whole reason why August really hadn't wanted to come today was becuase of the awkwardness. "Yeah, and you're hair's longer." It still looked good. He didn't know what else to say because he couldn't come out with a 'I still love you, why did you break up with me?' after her random comment. That would escalate things from awkward to embarrassing in a few seconds.

"I was h-hear to visit Kurumi." he said after stammering for a second. Really his parents wanted him to see her but Kurumi was here too--not really a lie. "Beauxbatons had a long weekend so I went home. Today's my last day before going back and they suggested I spend it with friends here."

Taryn forgot all about the bubblegum she was supposed to be buying and pretty much every other thought she'd had in the last five minutes. She touched her hair when he mentioned it. She hadn't actually thought of it, but she supposed her hair was longer since summer. Of course it was...

She was hoping that it was the cold that was freezing her brain and causing her to say and think stupid things, that was a plausible reason, right..?

"...........Oh." She didn't want to admit it to herself, but Taryn's heart dropped a little when she turned out to not be the reason why he was there. Right. Maybe he didn't want to see her at all. Why would he, anyway? She'd thought she had been doing a good thing for them, at the time but she definitely regretted it now and... well, she was sure he was mad at her. Would she be if she were in his place? "Well... I won't keep you." Her silly heart lifted again for just a moment as the thought that he might ask her not to walk away could be possible. But she figured that it would just fall again.

That was...easy. August hadn't even asked her to leave and Taryn was going to leave him to meet with Kurumi without even another word. She must be better off without him afterall.

Part of boy wanted to just let her go but despite his saying that he hadn't wanted to see her was a lie and he had actually hoped to at least catch a glimpse of his regretfully ex girlfriend despite his confusion. Now she was leaving. In his confusion and rush of emotions flooding his brain, the Beaubatons student let her walk part way past him before speaking up, asking her to stay. "Hey...Taryn! I uh, have until 3 o'clock before I have to meet her. Want to walk or something?" There was nothing wrong with that right? Harmless.

That turned out to be the longest seconds of her LIFE. Well, maybe she was being a little dramatic and all, but... seriously! She paused and waited a second before she glanced over her shoulder back at August. Her silly heart lifted like she'd KNOWN it would. She coudn't stop the grin from forming at all, but she did manage to tone it down a little.

"I..." She glanced back down the street, wondering if this was a good idea after all, but who was she kidding? She was going to stay if he was asking her to. She'd hoped that he would. "Sure." Geez girl, tone down the smiling a bit more.

Lana glanced around as she made her way down the street. It had been a while since she had been to the small village and she was in need of a few things. Chocolate being one of the for sure!

Pulling her scarf close to herself, she looked toward Honeydukes with bright eyes. That place was calling her name for sure and she was not going to be able to resist it for long. There would be a few other shops she had to stop in, but Honeydukes would have to be the first.

Yes, chocolate first and supplies later. Plus she did want to attempt to get something nice for her sister too.

Laura looked around and smiled when she spotted her sister. "SIS!!!!!!!!" Laura scream and she ran upto her sister and tackled her, she wanted to give her sister the biggest hug ever it had been ages since they spoke or so it seemed anyway, it was always the case, they were really busy and had been ever since they came to Hogwarts. "I've missed you Sis." Laura sighed. "Where you going? Can I come?" Laura wanted to spend time with her sister.

Lily felt like she was dragging Taylor down to Hogsmeade. Sure it was Sunday and they should probably be working on homework for the upcoming week, but it wasn't everyday that he father was going to come visit. So the redhead had woken Taylor up early, forced her to get dressed and eat something before dragging her down to the village. It was still early and still cold out but Lily was anything but unhappy. Stopping by a bench, the redhead turned to her bestie. "So... My dad told me that he'd meet me here around 10am... and it's 9:20 right now. So what did you wanna do while we wait?" She asked.

Taylor looked at her best friend, a little grumpy. "You woke me up and dragged me out in this weather just to be 40 minutes early to meet your dad?" She sighed and frowned, "I could of slept in half an hour longer..." She wasnt feeling good and this wasnt helping. "Did I tell you, you owe me one?" Tay mumbled and grumbled a little, "How about we get hot chocolate?"

"Oh.. come on silly.... I wanted to make sure that I was early because I can't be late for him... and plus it means we can explore Hogsmeade before he gets here." Lily said still almost hyper. "Fine... I owe you one..." The third year nodded, poking her friend on the shoulder. "And where are we gonna get hot chocolate?"

Tay gave her a look and swatted her friend's finger away after being poked. "Have I told you how annoyingly hyper you are in the morning?" She sighed then pointed to the Three Broomsticks, "They have good hot chocolate though i didnt get it on my da--" She shut up, not having told Lily about her now boyfriend.

Lily moved her finger away before Tay could swat at it and instead pointed at Tay. "Don't you give me that look..." She teased before 'accidentally' bumping into her friend. "I'm not hyper every morning... just today... and some other days.... and besides... I had a ton of candy last night." Yep... blaming it on the candy. "Okay... let go in there then..." The third year said, grabbing Tay's arm and starting to take her there, totally not noticing Tay's near slip.

Taylor raised her eyebrow, "I will give you whatever look I want, missy." She laughed, "Not every morning? Suuuuure." Tay smiled at her friend. "Okay." Taylor sighed as she got dragged again.

Good, she wasn't mad at him or trying to avoid him.

August looked at her and noticed the smile plastered on her face. It seemed genuine. Auggie smiled back at her and turned to walk with her. The cold air blowing from behind them. "So how's school been? What's Aspen up to?" he decided he would rather start with small talk rather than the problems of their non-existant relationship.

Yes. Small talk. That was really all they were going to get up to today, she was pretty sure. Even though things had sort of slowed down with Milton now, she was still dating him and she didn't want to conflict things more than they already were. Should she tell him that she was dating someone? She didn't think she should, not just yet, since they hadn't talked in months... but she also didn't want him to think she was lying or hiding things from him.

"Alright, I suppose. Aspen's been... distant. She's got her own things going on and I guess I do too." She shrugged a little at the question. "I don't think... I'm coming back next year."

Yeaaaah. The thing about small talk was that you sort of grabbed at anything you had. Taryn didn't exactly want to talk about that but she'd already brought it up and she definitely didn't want to stop talking to him, she wanted to keep him as long as she could. So... she was gonna just go with it.

"Just alright?" August started to ask her but she went on to explain about Aspen being distant and all that. He couldn't help but feel like she was holding other information back from him but he wasn't going to push the issue. Obviously there was something more troubling her besides just her one frien being distant.

But then there was the next thing to come out of her mouth.

She wasn't going to go back to Hogwarts next year? "What? How come? Is your dad moving? Is everything alright?" She was makign him nervous. Where on earth would be sbe going if not Hogwarts?

Taryn shrugged again, it was something she'd picked up from Milton. She hated it when HE did it, but it seemed to have rubbed off on her. Awesome. She tipped her head slightly to glance at him as he rattled off questions to her sudden announcement.

He seemed... concerned. Taryn had spent the last couple of weeks sure that August hated her now so this sort of took her by surprise. Though she knew it shouldn't, she should know him better. It was definitely the guilt doing her thinking. "Well... over Christmas I had a meeting with Evolette McKenna." Surely he remembered that she was slightly obsessed with the woman? "She offered me a contract with her agency.... that's based in Miami, in the States..." Taryn glanced at the street again so that she didn't walk into someone, and also to try to hide the smile she had again, "I think I'm going to go there to start my career."

August kind of didn't want to hear what it was that was making Taryn so hesitant but at the same time he was curious. The curiousness could easily be nervousness but either way. He hadn't seen her in a really long time and he didn't want to ruin their day with bad news, so he didn't press the issue.

But she decided to tell him herself, and it wasn't bad. It was good. August breathed a sigh of relief knowing now that she wasn't hiding anything from him.

"Modeling in America? Taryn that's awesome." He turned and hugged her quickly. It was a big deal and it deserved a hug, really it did. August pulled back and started walking again. "Really, that's great. You will have so much fun with Evolette."

They would be further away but she would have fun.

Woooooah. Taryn had NOT been expecting a hug. For a moment, it was almost like none of the other stuff between them had ever existed. August knew how much she had wanted to work with Evolette, so it wasn't too weird that he would be happy about her announcement. But for some reason, the hug just made her sad. She tried not to let it show, but she'd never been very good at hiding things that bothered her. Taryn tried her best smile and blushed a little, "Thank you. I... haven't decided if I'm going to go yet or not... but... it's amazing."

The blonde wished her heart would just shut up as they started to walk again. That hug had done her in, though and she didn't know what to do about it. She tugged at her hair and tipped her head in his direction, glancing shyly over, "August? I uhhh... I have to tell you something." She wasn't sure why she was making this such a big deal. Would others do the same if they were in her situation? Was it just because everything was so much more important to her than it seemed to be to everyone else? "I actually... I mean, I guess I don't HAVE to tell you but I don't want- I feel like I'm lying by not saying it..."

Yeah, she was definitely making a big deal out of this, right? Knock it OFF Taryn. The worse she made it sound, the worse he would take it. "I'm.... dating someone."

Lana stopped for a moment as she heard a scream. Before she could even get a good look at just who was screaming, she was tackled. Staggering to keep her footing, she looked at her sister and smiled. "I've missed you too Silly Bean," she replied as she returned the hug. It had been a few days since they had really seen each other, but it was nice to see that unlike before; they were still on good terms.

"I'm actually on my way to get some things," she laughed softly at her twin's excitement. "Of course, but I might stop in for some books too." At least she could warn her sister before boring her to death with being stuck in a book store.

"You're not sure, what do you mean? You're definately going Taryn, it's too good of an opportunity to pass up." She loved Evolette McKenna, what was she even talking about? She had no reason to stay apart from her father who would want her to be happy. She wasn't dating him anymore.

Auggie continued to walk down the road, hoping he had convinced her to go to acheive her dreams, she started to speak telling him she had something to say. Something he was nervous to hear. He continued to look at the ground.

She was dating someone.....

"I...uh. Good for you Taryn." His eyes were wide and focussed on the dirt on the road, no he wasn't going to look at her. She obviously didn't want to be with him so why not go to Miami? Yeah, this hurt more than he thought it would. He hadn't started to date anyone since they were seperated, should he have been looking too?

It was likely that she was over reacting, but Taryn felt TERRIBLE. She too looked at the ground and stopped walking, leaning against a wall. "I didn't... I - I mean... that's why we broke up, right? So we could... see who else we could find. We couldn't see each other enough and... we're not supposed to know." She lifted her eyes to glance at him, noting that he was NOT looking anywhere near her. "We're not supposed to know who we're supposed to be with yet." Taryn could feel her heart beating faster and faster and she rubbed at her cold, pink cheeks with her gloved hand.

She was ONLY 16 years old. She was NOT supposed to know who she wanted to spend the rest of her life with and she was sure she wasn't supposed to be in love yet. Maybe that was the biggest appeal of dating Milton? She knew he was not that person, so maybe that made it easier?

She took a deep breath. Since she was already a terrible person, she figured she'd ought to tell him the rest too, at least he would have the facts before he decided that he never wanted to talk to her ever again. So... she just said it as tactfully as she could and did an admirable job at NOT crying.

At least for now.

She was right. Yeah they were supposed to be looking for other people since they couldn't be together, but why was that? He was fine being with her but no, Taryn didn't want that, epecially now.

"Right, yeah. I get it." He shoved his hands further into his pockets and blinked furiously. He knew who he wanted to be with, her. But apparently it wasn't meant to be. He looked at her to see what else she was thinking, and then she dropped even worse news on him, stuff he had never expected nor wanted to hear.

He hadn't even so much as kissed another girl and she was basically another person now.

"I-I just, I don't know what to say Taryn. Congratulations? Is that what you want to hear?" He said wiping his eyes furiously and turning from her, his breathing becoming irregular. Should he leave now, he didn't want to hear anymore of this. No, this couldn't be happening right now.
