The Great Hall's missing tables seem to work out in your favor, for once, as you notice the GIANT Christmas Tree in the center of the Winter Wonderland. This is THE tree to top all trees, and it is up to you and the Prefects to decorate it appropriately. The other 12 Christmas Trees are already carefully arranged around the perimeter of the hall so that you can look to them for inspiration if you need to.
A myriad of decorations just for this tree are stored in a big tote box near the base of the tree. Roll up your sleeves and start decorating, helper! Just be sure to leave the star that goes on top for the Headmistress. She also loves decorating.

Carefully moving through the entrance hall, levitating the trees a few feet in the air, Seb made his way into the Great Hall and once inside, he carefully placed the trees around the room making sure that they were visible from every angle.
Yep, he loved this time of year.
The Groundskeeper would find it much easier to decorate this year, without the four house tables and one staff table blocking the way. To the decorating crew, it might not seem odd that the tables were missing; but to the students who had been forced to eat breakfast on the floor, the missing tables were an OUTRAGE.
Either way, carry on with your decorating! Enjoy the open floor space, for now.

Looking around, she searched for some of her friends but didn't see anyone. Oh well! Running over to where the big tree that still needed decorated sat, she pretty much claimed one area of it on the side furthest from the door and then began searching through the tote boxes of ornaments to decorate it.
Edmund and Isaac would probably show up eventually, which was good because she'd need their help doing the stuff up high. No way was she going up there!

Walking into the hall after heading back to his common room for awhile, Isaac grabbed a box. Heading for the big tree, Isaac put the box on the floor by his feet digging through the box he started collecting baubles to hang on the tree. Looking up he spotted Sutton not too far away from him "Hey." he called over with a smile for her as he squatted there by the box.
Looking around he wondered if Ed was coming as well, he hadn't seen him for a few days!
Walking into the hall after heading back to his common room for awhile, Isaac grabbed a box. Heading for the big tree, Isaac put the box on the floor by his feet digging through the box he started collecting baubles to hang on the tree. Looking up he spotted Sutton not too far away from him "Hey." he called over with a smile for her as he squatted there by the box.
Looking around he wondered if Ed was coming as well, he hadn't seen him for a few days!
Sutton watched as Isaac walked into the room, an odd sensation fluttering in her stomach and chest as she watched him. Then her heart started to sink... he didn't even seem to be noticing her as he immediately went to work. Why did that suddenly make her feel like crying? Turning back to her decorations, she started searching through it in a huff. Never mind that she'd been worried out of her MIND about him ever since she heard he got hurt in that Quidditch game. Nooo... Why should he CARE that she'd thought about him every night?
Because he was hurt, of course.
Hearing his voice, Sutton turned back to see that he was talking to her. "But I'm fine now." he said nodding. He was realizing she still had her arms around him, and gently slid her arms back winking at her as he reached down back into the box.

And also...it kind of was nice to know he hadn't failed right away.
Dropping the bauble he'd picked up as she grabbed his hands and looked into his eyes. "I..." Looking at her curiously he smirked "No. I'm not okay I've jus' been walking around in a daze the last three days but the healer let me off so all's good." Shaking his head he laughed "I'm kidding. This was not good. Oh Merlin! No no no! As she fell, it was like the world was in slow motion, and she didn't know whether she WANTED to land on top of Isaac to cushion her fall or if she wanted him to move so that she wouldn't hurt him. Obviously, it wasn't going to be her choice, though, because Isaac didn't move as she fell right into him, knocking him backwards. Terrified he was going to hit his head again, Sutton let go of the Christmas ornaments and reached her hands up so they were under his head right as they made impact with the floor, Sutton landing on top of him.

Ed's jaw dropped on surprise as Sutton KISSED Isaac. And Isaac KISSED HER BACK. No. Freaking. Way. Isaac has a girlfriend and Sutton was... well, Sutton! Before Ed could even think about it, he ran forward and dragged Sutton up, his eyes showing anger. He was MAD at both of them. After giving her what was possibly one of the most frightening looks that had ever crossed his face, he pointed to the 'hang out' area, indicating for her to go.
Then, with thoughts about Amelia, Sutton and Isaac tumbling around in his head, Ed crouched down to Isaac, pulled him up by his collar and punched him.

Before she could respond, though, she was being pulled off of him. Writhing around, she saw Edmund. The look in his eyes made it feel like her blood had turned to ice water. Suddenly she felt very sick. She backed away as he indicated for her to go to the area with all the chairs, and then she saw Edmund bend down to Isaac and grab him.
It seemed like the punch hurt Sutton as much as it had to have hurt Isaac. Running forward and grabbing Edmund's arm, tears falling from her eyes, she yelled, "Edmund!! No! Stop!!! You're going to hurt him!"

Satisfied that Isaac had got the point, Edmund let go of Isaac and watched him fall back. He almost hadn't noticed Sutton pulling on his arm. "You. Come with me." He told her quietly, giving her the same icy look as earlier. He stood up and gave Isaac another look. "Stay away from her." His arm wrapped around Sutton's shoulder, making sure she had to move away from Isaac with him. But he wasn't letting the idiot out of his sight, what if he kissed another girl?

Elise bounded into the Great Hall, scarf snugly wrapped around her neck and a few snowflakes caught in the red beanie atop her head. The first thing she saw just had to be the giant tree, all undecorated but still grand in the center of the room. She couldn't resist.
"Whoa," she gasped.
Elise rushed towards the tree, beaming widely. They were supposed to help decorate it. Now, if only she could figure out where the decorations were. Hmm. She'd just have to look, then. But maybe she'd admire the other twelve trees first.
The prefects had done a really great job this term, no doubt.
And just like that it was over. Isaac was laying back down, and Edmund was pulling her further away. She tried to turn around and look back at Isaac, but Edmund had her too tight. In a tearful voice, she whimpered, "Ed... I... don't be mad at him... It was my fault. I... I kissed him. Be mad at me..." Sutton really just wanted a hug right now. When had she turned into this person? She had gotten mad at Laura, she was kissing a boy who had a girlfriend...
Maybe her parents were right. Maybe she should have stayed home for school instead of coming here. She obviously couldn't take care of herself.
Where was Logan? She wanted Logan. Logan would hug her.
Satisfied that Isaac had got the point, Edmund let go of Isaac and watched him fall back. He almost hadn't noticed Sutton pulling on his arm. "You. Come with me." He told her quietly, giving her the same icy look as earlier. He stood up and gave Isaac another look. "Stay away from her." His arm wrapped around Sutton's shoulder, making sure she had to move away from Isaac with him. But he wasn't letting the idiot out of his sight, what if he kissed another girl?

Staring at Ed as he got up and walked over to Sutton pulling her away he lay there with the 'broken' ornaments that had gone flying as they'd fallen over. Sitting up again his hand went to his jaw where Ed had punched him. What the heck just happened??? SERIOUSLY??? WHAT HAPPENED????
Getting to his feet, he stared after Ed, now irritated that he'd gotten punched and he hadn't done ANYTHING. Ok, he had kissed her but heck, he hadn't planned on that! Oh crap...Amelia.
This wasn't going to be good.
He considered going after Ed but just couldn't. He was mad at his friend, at the moment, and didn't want to go near him 'lest he punch him back!

Not letting Sutton turn, Edmund frowned at her attempt to calm him. "Sutton, you just kissed him and he kissed you BACK." Why wouldn't he be mad?! "He has a girlfriend, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?" Was she thinking at all? Psh. But he just couldn't ignore her tears, no matter how mad he was. "C'mere." He turned slightly, hugging her now.
As Edmund started shouting at her, the weight of it really hit Sutton... like a ton of flipping bricks. And she started sobbing... like it was the end of the world because that was how it felt, like everything she had been counting on was gone and she had no one left. "I don't know, Ed! I... wasn't thinking! I fell, and I was there, and he was there and... I didn't PLAN on it!" she spluttered very loudly because that was the only way she could talk over her tears.
Looking up at him suddenly, something he said processed in her brain. Isaac... had kissed her BACK. That... that meant something. Maybe if Edmund hadn't dragged her away...
But Isaac hadn't come after her, and so that meant Isaac regretted it. If he didn't regret it, he wouldn't have let Edmund take her away.
And that made her cry even more.
She was so thankful for Edmund's hug as she fell apart in his arms, sobbing against his chest.
He was joking right? Staring at Ed as he opened his arms for Sutton to go ahead and snuggle into, Isaac just kept staring. He gets punched and Sutton got a hug for kissing Isaac. WHAT THE HECK!?!?! Clenching his jaw, Isaac dropped the bulb that somehow hadn't flown from his hand back into the box before glaring in their direction and striding out of the hall and out onto the grounds.

Oh gosh. She was sobbing. And it didn't seem like she was going to stop anytime soon. He raised an eyebrow at her and just stared as she defended herself. It was a REALLY bad excuse, if he said so himself. Deciding to keep his mouth shut, Ed glanced over at Isaac who'd now decided to leave and then down to the emotional wreck in his arms. Poor Sutton.
Edmund rested his chin on her head gently and just let her cry it out.
