| | Arithmancy Two Floodwater subsided and other chaos behind her, Josephina opened up the Arithmancy classroom in an effort that hopefully they will make it further in their curse-breaking studies this time. She just hoped the students weren't too frustrated with her lack of a first lesson in terms of learning much, but also hoped she could make up for it in her remaining lessons of the term.
Propping the door open, the brunette strode over to have a seat behind her desk and skimmed over her notes from last lesson, making mental notes on what still had to be discussed... ooc: lesson will begin in a couple hours ... or 12 hours, depending on how many people post now =) Sorry for the short notice <3 Lesson Progression
* Question One: Why senses / sense impairment is important to curse-breaking?
* Question Two: What is the incantation used to find numbers associated with curses?
* Question Three: Moving on.....what's a cryptogram?
* And now solving cryptic messages... |

If nothing else Alexa felt accomplished. Despite this being a class with numbers and stuff she was able to understand and actually get something right!! This was definitely something worth celebrating and she'd have to award herself a few chocolate frogs for her efforts. Yup.
Oh?
The lesson was over? EVEN BETTER! So they got work that wasn't very hard and the class flew by in no time! Man, there was nothing to this Arithmancy stuff afterall. And to think she never wanted to show up. "Great lesson Professor!" GRIN. Everyone should have kept their lessons this short, then she'd be able to spend less time sitting in a classroom. "Have a good day."
Then she grabbed her things and left feeling overly proud of herself.

Ira listened attentively, more attentively than she usually did, to all that Professor Hadley was explaining. Curse breaking and decoding was all exciting stuff! And suddenly, that as that. Lesson over? No! Not fair! They had hardly done the curse breaking part.. And Ira wanted to do much more.
Maybe next lesson looked interesting. Bring wands? Ooh! Definitely exciting! And the homework sounded great. Making their own codes? Ira quickly copied down the homework, and packed her stuff in her bag and got up. "Thanks Professor Hadley," she said, smiling, "Looking forward to the next lesson."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Eliza Neladara Dawnsel Fifth Year | She was still trying to figure out how anyone could guess which letters meant what in this cryptogram, when class was announced as being over. She grumbled internally, wondering why she hadn't been very good with the puzzle. Aren't I supposed to be good at these things? She shoved her papers into herb bag and got up to leave. Maybe I'll get better. "See you next time, Professor," she said as she went to the door. Now how am I going to make up my own message? She thought it might be easier to make one than to solve one, but then she wasn't sure. |

Minerva listened as Hadley wrapped things up. She quickly put her parchment and quills in her bag and got up. Giving Oakey a quick glare she turned and smiled at Ethan. She couldn't say that she wasn't happy to get away from the awkward seating she had been put in with Oakey sitting next to her. He was so oblivious though that he probably had no clue what she was upset with him for.
Walking away from the table she headed closer to the door. "Thanks Professor Hadley for the great lesson. It was very interesting. Have a great day" She gave one last smiled and then headed out the door.

Whoah hey class is over?
But now the Professor mentioned what their homework was about and this Ravenclaw hurriedly scribbled it down, only to look back at what he wrote. The homework.... sounded pretty challenging to complete in the amount of time it was due. But he cant worry about that right now so he hurriedly stacked his belongings into his book bag and made his way towards the door like the others "Thank you for the lesson Professor Hadley..." he uttered as he passed the Numbers Guru on his way out.
