Oakey entered the class room and looked around. It seemed rather bare, was no one taking Arithmancy anymore and they just forgot to tell Oakey? That seemed cruel to both him and Professor Hadley. He moved further, but before he selected a seat he walked up to his Head of House. "Good day Professor Hadley." he spoke trying his best to not look upset.
"Ma'am after class can I speak with you about something?" Might as well ask now. Since there was no one else in the class at the time.

Arithmancy... A class he didn't necessary excel in, but it wasn't a class he did poorly in either. At least that's the way it was at Beauxbatons and Ethan didn't have reason to believe it would be any different here. As long as interruptions were kept to a minimum, he thought as he recalled the near-constant presence of either ghosts or house elves in nearly all the lessons.

The fifth year strolled into the classroom, his gait slowing as he entered. First one here? The Ravenclaw didn't exactly pride himself on being early... but at least he wasn't late. "Good morning, Professor," Ethan greeted the woman as he walked past he desk, and then, "Thanks for the candy..." as he noticed the message on the board and aforementioned sweet on the desk he chose.

Laura had been waiting for this lesson ever since she had gotten detention, she walked into the room and smiled. "Good day Professor Hadley." Laura then asked the question that was eating her up. "Any luck with my wand Professor?" Laura wasn't sure there would be but well there was always a chance Professor Hadley might have fixed her wand.

Lily was early, and she knew it. But there wasn't anywhere else that she could go to kill a couple more minutes before the Arithmancy class. So she readjusted her black robe before stepping into the classroom. "Hello Professor Hadley." the redhead said simply as she stepped over the threshold. Quietly, she then made her way to a seat off to the side and towards the back.

After reading the board and slipping the candy into her bag, she pulled out her parchment, quill, and ink and started to doodle on the edge of her parchment. Maybe she would talk to someone if they decided to sit next to her but for now her doodles were enough to keep her occupied.

Alec didn't really know how he felt about coming to this lesson, knowing that there wouldn't be a Keefer here. Not that the two had talked much in previous Arithmancy classes but it was still nice to know that the boy was somewhere there, you know. Before. But now... it was just a bit weird. It was like if Hadley had decided to leave and not teach Arithmancy.

... Now that would be weird.

The fourteen year old stepped into the classroom... and took a moment to blink around. Only a couple of people were seen dotted around the class. Really?! Was he... early?! BLINK. Yeah... this was even more weird. But... it meant that he got the chance to select a great table in the class, right? Right. And that was AWESOME.

"Hello Professor Hadley!" he said, grinning at the woman as he started walking over towards an empty table in the middle of the classroom. Yeah... perfect seat! He sat down and dropped his bag down to the floor, eyeing the candy on the table. Had... Hadley given them sweets before? Maybe, maybe not. And a quick check of the message on the board told him that they were allowed to eat it! AWESOME. Sweets in class! Alec reached over and grabbed the peppermint humbug before unwrapping it and popping it into his mouth. There. See? Awesome class was awesome already. He bent down and took out his textbook, a blank piece of parchment, a quill and an inkpot. Right. He was ready. GRIN.

Ella entered the Arithmancy classroom, textbook under her arm. Spotting Hadley, the third year smiled widely at her Head of House. "Hi Professor Hadley." Beam. "Hope you're doing well."

Taking a seat in the middle of the room, Ella looked around and noted she was still pretty early. Her eyes fell on Oakey and she smiled, having not talked to him in a while. "Hey Oakey." She greeted quietly, waving at her fellow badger. Oh! And Alec and Laura were here too? The small blonde smiled, waving at them as well. She then removed her quill and parchment, setting them neatly on her desk. The peppermint humbug made her grin, and she popped it into her mouth eagerly. She also made a note about it being Hadley's favorite. Good information, that was.

Minerva walked into class with a smile on her face. She wasn't really great at this subject, but her head of house and one of her favorite professors taught the class made it worth being at. She also was feeling good about her classes and being a little bit of a loner was proving to be beneficial with no drama around her at the moment. She smiled at Professor Hadley, "Hello Professor, hope you are doing well."

She then turned as she went into the room and smiled at a few people she knew already there, "Hi Oakey" she said as she walked to find a place to sit, then there was Ethan.. smile again, "Hey Ethan" Oh and there was Laura, "Hi Laura" she smiled as she found a seat near them and pulled out her book and parchment getting ready for class. Oh and there was candy, of course Min opened it and popped it in her mouth. Yes this was a good start to class. Then she realized two others were there, "Hey Alec, Hello Ella" she smiled at her housemates. It was great to see so many badgers in class.

Having never paid much attention in her Arithmancy classes back in France and completely avoided the topic last term, Emmanuelle walked into the class feeling slightly apprehensive. After all, she wasn't familiar with the professor, so Em didn't know if the teacher was tough or not. Add that to the fact that the subject had always intimidated her anyway and yikes! But as she read the instructions on the board, her apprehension eased. How could a teacher who leaves them candy be? She chose a seat towards the middle of class and sat, pulling her textbook, parchment and a quill out of her bag and setting her bag under her chair so that no one would trip on it. She picked up the peppermint humbug and unwrapped it, popping it in her mouth. Yep, nothing could be bad about a class where one got free candy...

"Hello, professor!"

Nigel was not sure about Arithmancy. He always good at book research. But not at numbers. He was just not that great at Math.But he did like Professor Hadley.

"Hello, Professor Hadley" Nigel said walking in. He went to an empty desk and saw a note on it. Why would Professor Hadley put a note on their desks when she was here in the room. Well whatever. He took the candy, put it in his mouth, and read the note. Okay, just take out his textbook and a piece of parchment. Sounded easy enough. Nigel took out the required materials, sat down, and waited for class to start.

Cardigan was quite excited for today's Arithmancy lesson!! She had no idea why, though. Usually, this was one of the classes she got bored easily in, no offense. It wasn't the teacher, it was the subject really. It was pretty much like Maths back in muggle schooling, which she totally flunked. Not fun. Not fun at all.

She entered the classroom, quite surprised to find sweets on all the desks. Now, had a teacher ever done this before?? Not saying that it's not cool. IT'S AMAZING!! Though, we might have a little trouble controlling Cardigan, seeing she gets on a high with even the littlest amount of sugar. It can get quite out of hand... "Good day Professor Hadley! Thank you for the sweets," She said, smiling as she walked over to one of the desks closer to the front, slinging her backpack over the back of her chair and sitting down, looking at the Peppermint for a moment. Should I eat it now, or later.... Well, it's not always the best idea for me to eat candy at a time to learn, she thought, unzipping her backpack and slipping it in. Whew! That was a close one!

Cardigan spotted her friend Lily across the classroom, and gave a little wave, not wanting to scream and possibly disturb anyone. Though, she wouldn't need to. Just in case...

Sutton was SO excited!

No, really, she was VERY excited. She had been waiting and waiting for this lesson ever since that day Professor Hadley had found her in that study room. Practically bouncing her way into the room, she walked right up to Professor Hadley. "Hello, Professor!" she said cheerfully. "I am really, REALLY looking forward to this class." And she was not just saying that to suck up either.

Numbers. Math. WHEEEE!

Taking a seat at front and center, Sutton arranged her things to be ready the moment class started.

Travis waltzed into the Arithmancy classroom. He was having a great day, a grin stretched ear to ear across his face. He had plastered the fake mustache onto his face before he left the dorms that morning, and it was still on. His hair was perfectly messy, and his clothes were absolutely flaw free.

There was absolutely nothing that could ruin his day... not even the sight that he had to read from the text book could hurt him.

Travis had an obvious bounce in his step, "Good Day, Professor" he said as he stopped for a second in front of the teacher, rocking slightly on his heels. He gave her a full smile and chose a seat in the second row.

"Ooh candy!" the false mustachioed boy announce loudly, and proceeded to stuff it into his mouth.

Elliot...had never been to this class before. EEHhh! She was a bit nervous...numbers. She was always more of a...words person? But she thought she might as well give this a try!

She walked in, her blonde hair plaited down her back. Her blue eyes shifted over, trying to spot any familiar faces. Oh, there were some.

But it was only Minnie and Laura, so all they got was EVIL!glares from her. She made her glare at Minnie meaner, though, since her feelings for Laura were weird right now. But still. HUffelpuffs...

She plopped down in a desk next to Ethan..."Hey, Ethan. I know you want to sit by me...so lucky for you!" she said with a smug smirk. She examined the peppermint on her desk..peppermints were okay. Better than chocolate or something...she undid the paper and popped it into her mouth.

Alice entered the Arithmancy classroom with a hop in her step and a textbook under her arm. After catching sight of Hadley, the third year smiled brightly the Professor, making good use of her pearly whites. "Good day, Professor Hadley." Beam. "Hope you're doing well."

Taking a seat near Ella and Alec, the lioness looked around and noted she wasn't late.. at least, she didn't think so. After giving her friends small salutes of acknowledgement, she removed her quill and parchment, setting them neatly in the corner of her desk. The peppermint humbug made her smile. What? She was pleased if any type of candy was in her sight. Alice eagerly popped it into her mouth. She also made a mental note about Hadley's candy preference. It may come in handy some day, she never knew.

Landon Hughes walked into the Arithmancy classroom with a bored look upon his face. He was tired, really tired, and he blamed that on the people who snored in his dorms. Though the real reason was because he ate too much candy. He waved to the person who he thought was the professor and said, "Hello, Professor. I'm Landon Hughes." He gave a big smile at the end and turned, reading the board. Once he got to where it said the part about candy, he knew this Professor was going to be his favorite. "Thanks for the candy!" He said, looking like a little boy who was really excited.

This was already turning out to be a good day.

The fifteen-year-old walked over to an empty seat and sat down, watching as all the other students filed in. He unwrapped the candy and practically swallowed it in one bite. YUM. Would there be more?

Arithmancy. The REAL sort of Divination that made sense. You didn't see this Gryffindor calling this professor Professor Hagly or something like that. Nope, Arithmancy was like a security blanket to this seventh year and she was glad for another lesson - just not so glad that this was her last term of it seeing as, if things went well, Kurumi wouldn't be continuing her studies in the subject too much.

"Good day, professor," Kurumi smiled as she made her way towards her usual seat riiiiiiiiiiight in the front and set her things down. Candy? Okay, maybe now the professor got a little bit of an eyebrow raise, but nothing too rude. Kurumi just had things about eating in the classroom...and a certain Muggle Studies professor was making her flat out protest it entirely in her own quiet way.

So, Kurumi gently pushed the sweet to the side as she set her things out on the desk. She would nibble on it later, just not right now.

Weeeell - she wasn't exactly here by choice. Glenn usually took Arithmancy but she'd prefer not to go to this one. Without her sign, her neck felt incredibly light. That week was horrible. Thank Merlin it was over.

Her arm still self-consciously covering a now non-existent sign, she walked into class, "Hello." Glenn said quietly as she passed Hadley. She had chucked her sign in the bin... hopefully house-elves weren't big gossipers. The blonde took a seat on her own, quite far away from the professor, pulled out her textbook and journal, and read over her previous lessons. There was NO way she was eating the candy... Glenn had not forgotten the last time she had eaten candy in this classroom.

"Good day, Professor Hadley,'' Jory said when he entered the classroom. He wondered what they'd be learning today as he made his way to find a seat.

After selecting one, he helped himself to the peppermint humbug. Then he turned his attention to the board and read the message. "Text book and blank parchment.'' The Badger reached into his bag and go them out. Now, to wait for the lesson to begin.

Shoving an extra roll of parchment into his book bag, Vickers hurriedly made his way from the Ravenclaw Tower down towards the Arithmancy classroom. As he passed the threshold he nodded his head politely at the Numbers Guru "Good day Professor Hadley." he greeted politely before settling into a desk near the front. Taking his glasses out he slipped them on and spotted the sweets. He shifted around in his seat-- was this table reserved for someone else? When he finally turned his attention to the board a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. This was a nice touch. And he was just about to unwrap it too when he paused and wondered what the candy was for. Were they supposed to count the stripes or something?

You know what, he's counting the stripes anyway. Totally not an OCD thing.

It wasn't exactly that she was bad at Arithmancy. It was more just that Kendall had so far not done very well in the subject because she got bored easily, and that was so much easier when faced with lectures about math, numbers and analyzing them to determine what was supposed to happen in their lives. She had nothing against Professor Hadley, at least, and gave the professor an absent smile as she'd entered the classroom, twisting a curl of pink and auburn hair around her finger. "Hi Professor Hadley," she said, noting the other students who were already there and making her way to a seat not exactly next to Vickers, but near enough that she could hopefully crib off of him if she got entirely lost. She didn'tthinkthere woudl be too much problems with her copying if it was merely to understand the subject, and it would save her having to ask the professor to repeat herself because she'd gotten bored and started sketching again.

So far it looked like all they were doing was waiting, and she settled in her seat, fidgeting a little as she pulled her textbook, some blank parchment, a quill, and ink out of her bag. Obviously they were going to be expected to take notes on something or other, and she slid the peppermint off her desk and into her bag. Maybe she could figure out how to transfigure it into chocolate later, or ask Patrick if they could coat it in chocolate in the kitchens or something. Peppermint by itself wasn't really her thing, but she'd keep the gift. Unless they were supposed to be doing something with it, since she'd noticed Vickers counting the stripes. That wasn't in the note on the board, though, so she just scrunched down in her seat and started idly sketching her fire crab from CoMC on a spare parchment. She wasn't doing anything wrong.

Arithmacy... was becoming fun. Atleast, it was becoming less boring than before for Ira.

She had to admit that the class was growing on her, even if some of the calculations weren't quite accurate when compared to how she really was. But of course, they couldn't all be right all the time.

Ira was pretty excited about this lesson. Why? It was funny, because she didn't know really. Maybe Arithmancy was more of a relaxing type class for her. She walked into the classroom, her school bag slung over her shoulder.

"Hello, Professor Hadley." She pipped up. Ira quickly took a seat at a pair of empty desks and started pulling out her textbook, parchments and kept her quill ready, and waited for the lesson to start.

Louisa had a yummy wand in her mouth as she made her way down to the Arithmancy classroom, it wasn't her brightest subject but professor Hadley did make it a bit easier and less boring. Upon walking into the professor-less room, the Ravenclaw paused in the front and read the board. Okies, head to a seat and enjoy candy. Sounded cool, minus the candy thing because last time Louisa accepted candy from Hadley's class it was spicy chocolate icky thing.

She beamed and waved at Vickers as she claimed a seat nearby, not close enough to suffocate the boy (because she can be suffocating) but close enough to say HEY BOYFRIEND I'M HERE.

Lewis hadn't really seen much of his Head of House since the start of the term so he had another reason to be looking forward to this lesson. Another of course being that he had decided that he would be looking forward to each and every lesson this term seeing as they were going to be his last here at Hogwarts. Even with subjects that he usually wasn't that fond of.

Not that Arithmancy was one of those but still.

"Hello Professor." The Prefect greeted Professor Hadley softly upon entering the classroom before allowing his eyes to rest on the message on the board. Reading it, Lewis moved forward so as to not be in the way of the students following him. Once he was done he was already half-way across the classroom which was where he stopped to look around for a free seat.

His eyes falling on a couple of familiar faces, he directed a smile at Louisa and a slightly half-hearted nod at Vickers before turning around on the spot in search for...oh, there she was. Before sliding into the seat on the desk next to hers, Lewis ran his hand across Kurumi's arm to get her attention. "Hey." He said quietly with a small grin while placing his textbook and some parchment onto his desk next to the candy the professor had put there.

Minerva looked up just in time to have her eyes feel like they were going to roll to the back of her head. Did she really have to come to this class. Was it not bad enough Minerva had to see this...this... awful person in every other class, as well as the practice rooms, and every where else in the bloody school it seemed like anymore, but here. This was to advanced for someone as full of themselves as Elliot, wasn't it? Plus Hadley was the head of house of Hufflepuff, for someone who hated puffs so badly you would think she might avoid this room thinking she might get a disease or something.. Slowly a smirk crossed her face, no don't think like that Minerva that is not nice.

Then she saw her sit down with Ethan and get all friendly, didn't she have her own boyfriend to annoy, why was she always trying to be so nice around Ethan. She was not nice to anyone.. Hmm is this her next prey, was she like a praying mantis done with one boy throw them away and find another victim.

Minerva decided she needed to focus is she was ever going to do well today in class and looked away from Elliot, that's when she noticed Glenn sitting alone frowning for a second she didn't like seeing people sitting alone. "Hey Glenn, how are you today. Would you like to sit with me?" She wanted Glenn to feel welcomed and not feel like an outcast after the little forest thing. No one should be treated meanly just because of a mistake, Minerva thought to herself.
