Having never paid much attention in her Arithmancy classes back in France and completely avoided the topic last term, Emmanuelle walked into the class feeling slightly apprehensive. After all, she wasn't familiar with the professor, so Em didn't know if the teacher was tough or not. Add that to the fact that the subject had always intimidated her anyway and yikes! But as she read the instructions on the board, her apprehension eased. How could a teacher who leaves them candy be? She chose a seat towards the middle of class and sat, pulling her textbook, parchment and a quill out of her bag and setting her bag under her chair so that no one would trip on it. She picked up the peppermint humbug and unwrapped it, popping it in her mouth. Yep, nothing could be bad about a class where one got free candy...
