João waited those moments patiently, a grin of victory already forming inside him. Then, when she conceded to his correct name, he opened his eyes and faced her with a grin on his face. And he actually chuckled at her last comment.

"Maybe it is... for a girl." And he certainly wasn't, with his deep voice and muscular body and all. He had to work on his body a little in Brazil, because it wasn't attractive at all to look like a nerd on surf-boards.

"How are you, Evelyn?" People had names for a reason, and they shouldn't be shortened up into stupid ways.

Tay just sat where she fell and buried her face in her knees. She started to cry freely. Taylor was hurt emotionally and just wanted to cry and be alone now.

And..suddenly his mood transformed. Evelyn smiled lightly when he turned towards her with a huge grin on his face. Erm. Honestly, this guy was really weird. And..he even laughed? When he completely ignored her just a minute ago because she called him Marcy.

"Yeah. That's why it is funny." Evelyn burst out laughing. Okay. She knew it was mean but she just couldn't help it. He was so serious and stuck-up..that teasing him was just fun. She bit her lip from laughing any more before she said, "Uh. Yeah, sorry 'bout that."

She was about to tell him to call her Eve..but she stopped. If she wasn't allowed to call him Marcy..then she he wasn't allowed to call her Eve. Childish, yeah but that's how it went. "I'm good. Kind of busy with Prefect duties and classes are going to begin soon.." She gave a light shrug before she continued, "You?"

Ronnie walked to the Topiary Garden, her messenger bag hanging loosley from her shoulder. She smiled at the beautiful topiary, she really liked the giraffe one! She went up to it and patted it. "Hello, Mr. Giraffe Topiary!" she said. "I'm Ronnie!" she said giggling and making her way to a nearby empty bench. She sat down and picked up her bag, and dug through it for a chocolate frog. She had plenty of those in there, and wanted to share them with someone. She looked around for someone to share with, but there weren't many people here today. She frowned and shrugged, opening the chocolate frog and catching it before it could get away. After taking a bite out of the head, she took out the card. Godric Gryffindor. She smiled and put the card in her bag.

João frowned a little at that explanation. Apparently, alling a boy by a girl's name was funny. He'd last done that when he was about 8 years old. Then again, he had always been much more mature than people at his age. Maybe that was still normal to joke about sexual things. He shrugged to himself at last. He didn't really care. He would go away at the end of the year anyway, and be a normally-pronounced João at Brazil's Ministry of Magic.

"Are you a prefect?" Wow. He hadn't noticed that, in all honesty. Not that he looked crazily around to spot the new prefects anyway.

"Congratulations and good luck." Those were the correct words to say, right? He smiled, and shrugged when she asked the same to him.

"I'm fine as well. I've started to work for NEWTs." And his animagus training. Not that he'd ever tell it like that as if he was boasting. He WOULD boast, but it just wasn't the time yet.

Now THIS was pretty. Much more appealing than the death trap that was known as The Whomping Willow. Theodore skipped over to the bear one and GIGGLED at it.

He looked aside at the others, and saw a girl eating a chocolate frog.

A CHOCOLATE FROG. Theo needed to invade.

He slowly made his way over to her, like a spy, or something. "Hello. Mmmmm, that looks nice. I just LOVE chocolate frogs, don't you?" Theodore beamed, trying to be overly friendly.

Was it wooorking?! WHOO.

Ronnie looked up at the boy who had walked over to her. "Hi!" she replied. She grinned. Ah, she has found someone to share with. Mission complete. "Yes, they're my favorite. Want one? I have like, a zillion in here!" she said, gesturing to her bag with her free hand.

Evelyn bit her lip from laughing again. "Joao, learn to laugh. You just can't.." She waved her hands vaguely, trying to come with up a word to describe how really stuck up he was and..failing. "...well, you should try to laugh and not be so weird all the time." Yep. That did it. That was the word. Weird. Joao was really weird.

"Hm, yeah. I am." Evelyn said, nodding her head. Oh? She smiled again when he congratulated her. "Oh, thanks." She was a little surprised that he actually was polite enough to wish her luck but it was good.

"Already?" Already studying for NEWT's? School had just begin and he was already cramming? Wow. He must be a really genius or a complete weirdo and..she went for the latter.

Learn? Learn what? The boy waited surprisedly, eyebrows raised again. Was she actually teaching him a lesson? After a moment's loss for words, she finally expressed herself. Or more likely, failed in it.

"I laugh." It was her luck if she hadn't seen him laughing at all. The thing was that, he usually smirked... and he found 90% of the people phony. Still, he did laugh.

He didn't have anything to say about the 'weird' comment though, since it was a relative thing and to him, he was acting pretty normal. So what if many of the people were below his IQ level and he either made fun of them or didn't even find them worthy of making fun? And the remaining were just phony that he couldn't stand them. Even Louisa--

Moving on.

"Yes." Because studying got his mind off some unnecessary people. "Because I'm taking 10 lessons." Because the higher institute in Brazil accepted only the best students. Because he wanted to be the Minister for Magic of Brazil, so he had to be the best.

She didn't have to know all these, though. It was enough for her to know that much.

YESSSS, HIS KINDNESS WORKED.

"OH! Thanks soooo much." He reached into her bag, which felt very creepy to him, and pulled out the nearest. Once he opened it, he grabbed it before it jumped off and put the whole thing in his mouth.

It wriggled, but he bit into it.

Now, the card.

"I got BERTIE BOTT." Finally, he wanted that one.

"Thanks again. The name's Theodore."

The Topiary Garden was always nice! Sophie liked to stare at those animals and see if the wind made them move like they were alive.

They weren't as fun as the Whomping Willow, of course. Still, a nice place to walk around.

Humming no particular song, Sophie was looking around as she walked. Maybe there was a new topiary or something! She wanted to see different things!

Oh, look! A Slytherin girl that seemed around her age! All Slytherins she knew were nice so Sophie decided she should make a new Slythie friend! Skipping her way towards the girl, she gave a big smile.

"Hello! I'm Sophie!" Waaaave!

Ronnie nodded. "You are welcome!" she said, watching as he took one. Then he took his card out. "Bertie Bott, eh? I haven't gotten that yet. I keep getting Godric Gryffindor." she said with a dramatic sigh. She chuckled. "Ah well." she said with a shrug.

Ronnie smiled. "Nice to meetcha, Theodore." she said. Theodore. She liked that name. It was fun to say!

Theodore, Theodoooooore, Theodooooo-

Oh right. Her turn to indtroduce herself.
"I'm Ronnie!" she said with a little bow.

Anya was skipping down to the topiary garden to visit her old plant friends. (And plants were friends!)

She wondered if Mr. Landscape Architect Man was around. She wanted to see him too.

However, she stopped abruptly when she noticed someone on the ground. She took a few steps toward the blonde. "Are you cloud watching?" she asked tilting her head to the side. "Because I love doing that."

And without waiting for an invitation, Anya helped herself to the spot next to the blonde girl. "I dunno why. But I always see elephants." And usually, nothing but elephants. "Like that one there." she said pointing above them to a large cloud. Yup. I looked like an elephant to her.

Basking in the sun and lost in her own thoughts Hannah was enjoying herself. She prefered to be alone. That way nobody can bother you. Not saying that she didn't appreciate a friend or two, but she was having a hard time finding anybody that was worth making an effort for...not that she was looking or anything. Of course there was Elliot and Jezz. They for the most part were pretty cool.


Her thoughts drifted to food. It was only just now that she realized that she was hungry. As if one cue... her stomach decided to growl. She started day dreaming of all the food that was sure to be at dinner. She was thinking so intense about it that spit filled her mouth. Just as she started thinking about things drenched in gravy she heard a voice drift to her.


She heard someone going on about them being soapy...what an odd thing to brag about she thought. She opened one eye to see if maybe more people had come close to her unnoticed since she had been in her own world. She spotted a lone puffer girl. Surely she was not speaking to her so she closed her eye and went back to her imaginary feast.

Gemma wandered down the Topiary Garden. She had to admit that this was probably one of her favorite places on the grounds. W had down a good job making it beautiful and interesting. She glanced around at a few of the students and found a bench near a flamingo topiary that had just got done changing legs to balance on.

She sat down and pulled out a couple of Muggle books she would be using this year in her lessons glancing up occasionally to see the topiaries move around...yes this place was wonderful.

Sophie's wave started to slow down when she noticed that the Slytherin girl didn't reply. She frowned, confused and got closer to the girl.

She was now standing right next to where the girl was. Maybe the Slytherin didn't hear her or maybe she thought Sophie was talking to someone else.

"Hello there, Slytherin girl!" She said looking at her. There was no way she wouldn't hear her now!

Brooke liked it here.

Brooke liked trees, there were plant like tree things here, so Brooke liked it here. She liked all sorts of green things and things associated with vegetables.

She liked other stuff too, but these stuff in particular. hehe.

Cloud watching ? Brooke looked up as another girl approtched her. mmm. "No, but i DOO like cloud watching." she said deciding to peer up at the sky, yey. Clouds! they were like fluffy bits of candy floss. And Brooke liked candy floss, except when it got stuck in her hair. D:

And now the girl was sitting, did this mean she wanted to be friends with Brooke ? YAY! Brooke also liked having new friends. heheehhe. "Elephants are cool." She didnt have a specific shape she always saw, did that make her uncool ? eek! She wasn't exactly cool anyway. *mellow* "Thats a pretty elephant." the second year smiled, nodding at the girl. "Im Brookie."

"Oh." OHHHHHhh. Theodore very subtly placed the card into his pocket, "Well, I'll just keep it ultra super safe." Yeah, she wasn't ever getting that card back. HIS. THEODORE'S.



"Nice to meet you, tooooooo. Ronnie." Did she just bow? That was extremely weird. Did he have to, too? Eh, he did anyway.

"SO....... what house are you in, Ronnie?"

"Ultra super safe, eh?" Ronnie asked. "Good idea. 'Cause you never know when someone might....y'know, try to...steal it." she said, a smirk playing across her face.

"I am in Gryffindor." she replied. "What about you?" she asked.

Anya smiled! Awesome! Blonde girl liked cloud watching toooo! This was going to be fun!

She nodded. The cloud must have made sense this time. Sometimes she saw elephants in the weirdest clouds. Sometimes Alec laughed at her for it.

"I'm Anya." she greeted with a smile. "It's nice to meet you Brookie."

"Have you been out here to the topiary garden before?"

Brooke beamed. She liked meeting people, especially people who liked the same stuffs as her, they were always easier to get along with.

Anya. Brooke said in her head before repeating it out loud. "Anya." She smiled, nodding her head. "nice to meet you too Anya." She was rather fond of that name, hence why she kept saying it.

"Nope. or yes. i dunno, i dont remember." her brain was frazzzzled.

A breeze blew Hannah's nicely done ponytail askew. She blew out air in annoyance and fixed it once again. She did not like things messy. She was always nice and presentable. She was just fixing to close her eyes again when she head someone call out to a Slytherin girl.


Hannah looked towards where the voice came from and noticed that same girl that was going on about being soapy earlier. Surely she was not speaking to her. Hannah looked to her left, right and even behind her. She didn't see anybody around her decked out in green so this hufflepuff must actually be talking to her. THE NERVE.


She squinted her eyes a bit and looked the girl dead on. "Lost are you Puffer?" She still couldn't believe a puffer walked up to her and spoke like they were friends. Still Hannah couldn't help but to be curious as to what this yellow girl would say. Maybe she could even get some entertainment out of this. She decided to play along for now.

Anya giggled a little. She wasn't used to people repeating her name like that. Brookie must have liked it or something.

Which was perfectly fine. She liked saying Brookieeee.

"I hung out here last term a lot." she said sitting up a little to take a look around. "You see that Giraffe topiary there?" she asked pointing it out. "Last term Mr. Landscape Architect guy let me ride it."

And by let she meant stood by concerned like he didn't think she knew how to climb trees.

Sophie stared down at the girl that was sunbathing or something. She blinked a couple of times as the girl looked around, apparently looking for someone or whatever. She knew Sophie was talking to her, right?

O...kay then. Blink.

Lost? How could she be lost in the Topiary Garden? "Um, no... I was intruducing myself! I don't think we've met before!" She said patiently. Maybe this girl was a little slow. Poor her... It was alright, Sophie was patient! "I'm Sophie!" She waved again, even though they were now really close and could actually shake hands.

Brooke smiled at Anya. "Canwebefriends?" she smiled, squishing her words together just incase the answer was no. She didnt want the answer to be no though.

Hehe. She wanted to make lots of new friends!

"I hung around a lot inside last year 'cos i didnt wanna get lost." wow, that made her sound like a bit of a hermit. Brooke looked over to the giraffe topiary and nodded. Omg. "that is SOOO coool!" She wanted to ride of topiary.
