With a scarf in green and silver wrapped around her neck and wrapping the coat tighter around herself, Nora made her way to the student garden, where professor Bentley probably needed lab rats to make experiments on; to see who was the first one to become a living popsicle. Well, alright, maybe it wasn't THAT cold, but being as short and tiny as Nora... yes, she was cold, despite all the layers she had on. "Hello, professor," she smiled at her, getting close to... whatever she wanted to show them. The girl only hoped the plants won't have fangs. |
En route to the student garden, Sierra paused and looked up at the sky above. The clouds were black. If it rained, would they get a free day off? Hmm. Nah, this was Bentley they were talking about. If the world's biggest storm suddenly came about, Sierra bet they'd still be worrying about how to brush a plant's teeth or something. Wrapping her coat tighter around her, Sierra stepped up to where Bentley stood, giving the woman a small smile of hello despite how bitter the outside weather was. Couldn't they have learned about decorative, indoor plants today? |
Sophie loved that kind of weather! That meant pretty soon they would be able to have snowball fights and build snowmans and all those kind of things! Sweet! She made her way to the Students Garden playing with her Hufflepuff scarf and her smile widened as she saw professor Bentley standing close to the entrance. "Hello, professor Bentley!" She said cheerfully. "Good to see you again!" |
ICE. The ground was actually covered with ICE. Why? Because it was so bloody COLD, that's why! And the professor still insisted on doing a lesson outside because the ground was all ICY and people would turn into ICE too. ICE. A small bow of head was all she was getting as an acknowledgment, because this boy would be busy SHIVERING. ICE. Once he graduated, he wouldn't spend even one more second in this ICE-country, and would fly back to his tropical weather literally. Because it would take him about a year to melt all the ICE he was exposed to, and he had no time to lose. |
Brrrrrrr. What was this cold? Ella hated the cold. The only thing cold she truly liked was ice cream but alas, there would be no ice cream during this lesson. Unless some sort of awesome miracle occurred. As Professor Bentley came into view, Ella smiled and waved. "Hi Professor!" She greeted cheerfully before following the woman's directions and gathering with the other students. She spotted Sophie nearby and walked over to stand with her friend. "Hey Soph!" |
Aspen was layered today. She also wasn't alone. Since acquiring the coat of a certain Slytherin, Aspen hadn't been able to get Egbert the Fruit Bat to sleep anywhere else. So, Aspen and Egbert, the coat, a fur-lined cloak with the hood up, and an insulated boots entered the Student Garden. She was fairly early, she noted, and looked around at her class mates. Oh and the Professor. ... Aspen wasn't so sure about her, so she didn't speak. Just looked. Looked. Studied. Thought about speaking. Decided firmly not to. But to be contradictory, she did speak to the other person that made Aspen even LESS sure. Joao. "... We probably shouldn't partner up today." And with that, Aspen grinned and pulled her hood tighter around her face to keep the wind out. |

The newest person on his to-avoid list. Joćo was simply lost in thought for a moment, eyes on her and her new coat. The very coat that he had given her. Or more correctly, the very coat that her bat'd seized from her. Why was she wearing it? Did it really mean something to her, or did she just wear it because it was of high quality and kept warm? And why, of all the people, was she approaching her? Why did they have to meet again in a class, where he had nowhere to run to avoid her. WHYs. So many WHYs. He had understood her WHYs, because even he had many of them regarding her. Breaking out of his trance when she SMILED and talked to him, he smiled back genuinely. "We shouldn't, yes," he said half jokingly and half seriously. If she wanted him to forget some things, so did he. If only they could erase the whole scene down there. |

Aspen laughed at him, a real laugh. They could agree not to partner. Funny. She noted that he looked completely frozen. Maybe he should have held on to his coat? Not that she was offering it back. It was a bat habitat now. Aspen nodded, okay, not partnering and simply wandered to the other side of the little group of students - away from Joao. |
Nigel did not like the cold weather but Herbology was outside of course. He walks in the greenhouse and says "Hello Professor, How are you this cold day?,". He then almost slipped on the frozen ground. That wouldn't have been good Nigel thought. He then went cautiously to where the professor was to see what they were gathering around for. |
It. Was. So. Cold. Lewis pulled his woolen hat further down over his ears as he quickly made his way down to the Greenhouses. Hopefully they would go inside soon. It wasn't going to be so cold inside the Greenhouses, right? Since the plants liked the warmth and all. Or at least he hoped they did. Hopefully they wouldn't be studying Antarctic Plants today. Then he would probably freeze to death. NO! Why was Professor Bentley standing OUTSIDE the Greenhouses?! Lewis groaned inwardly and as if on cue another shiver ran over him. Would they really be outside the whole time today? "Good day, Professor." He greeted the woman as he passed her to stand with the rest of the students. Antarctic Plants, yes, definitely. Or Popsicle Plants. |

Joćo tried to look away, but all he could do was staring behind her back. She was simply gone. She didn't even... Joćo didn't know what, but this wasn't what he wanted. On the other hand, he was quite relieved that she chose someone else to work with. It just didn't make sense at all. Shaking his head at last, he went on to looking at a distant spot on the ground and simply shivered. |
Yay, more herbology! Sarah was enthralled! "Good Day professor," she shivered her greeting. She could barely feel her feet in the cold. |
Minerva walked into the green house shivering. She was super cold. She pulled her Hufflepuff scarf tighter around her neck and pulled at her puff hat. "Hello Professor Bentley, I hope your doing well today." She then walked over and stood next to Ella and Soph. "Hey girls, how are you?" |

pretend there's more layers in the polyvore set. :P Stella understood why they would have a Herbology class outside, but she still kept glancing up at the dark clouds overhead as she made her way down to the student garden for the second lesson of the term. She half expected it to start snowing at any time, it was so cold, and she wrapped her coat tighter around her after pulling her knit hat further down on her head and her scarf tighter around her neck. Even through all her layers she was cold, but at least she was managing to stay upright in her boots. She'd felt like something sturdier than flats was called for with the ice on the ground, and plus, the riding boots were warmer. At least a little. She'd slipped the tiniest bit as she'd made it to the garden, though, grasping the fence to stay upright, and then slipped inside the garden carefully. Going back to hugging her coat tighter around her as she smiled over at Professor Bentley, who oddly made her think of Beauxbatons with her clothing. "Bonjour, Professor," she said. "Are you certain we should be having clas outside?, " she couldn't help but add. She was at least curious, and she'd glanced back up at the clouds. Of course, she wasn't about to try and move again to go inside, but it was at least a nice thought. |
Ah Herbology. With Astronomy out of consideration this year, the subject was certainly his favorite...well co-favorite with potions class. But had the added benefit of being a subject Selina liked as well in comparison to Lafay's subject. So Gideon was ready for the latest lesson when it came around and He made his way towards the gardens where it was to take place, his multicolored scarf added to his work robes and his sachel over his shoulder. "Good day Professor Bentley," he greeted with a smile. The prefect had fully recovered from his injuries nowadays, only the faded bruises still visible and most were beneath his clothes. He took a spot near the front of the group of already gathered students, waiting patiently for the lesson to begin. |
She only had a knit Ravenclaw cap covering her braided hair, a matching scarf, and she wasn't as layered as most everyone else in the class as she eagerly waited around the professor for the lesson to begin. This was weather Isidora loved. The cold. It wasn't as cold as she was accustomed to being in, BUT STILL. It came close enough for the firstie to enjoy. "Hey professor!" She grinned and waved at the woman, rocking on her heels with the wind, and possibly the branches nearby too. |
Lily wanted to say something to Gideon... Lily walked down to Herbology class all bundled up, but still managing to wear her robes specifically set aside for herbology. She had planned a bit better this year and had gotten a set of robes just for the class, since it was known to be both dirty and dangerous Quote:

"Its alright..." he assured her with a soft smile, accepting her appology. "No real harm done and you obviously played well to gain control of the bludger." Well it was the truth as she had beaten out three other players including Selina. "And its Gideon," the older boy added, giving his name to her. Mr Gryffindor Prefect was just a tad to formal in most if not all cases. |
Harvey walked upto the Student Gardens for their second Herbology Lesson.. he never did know what it was about Herbology that he loved.. was it the awesome plants they came across and worked with.. or was it the fact that his favourite professor was teaching it. He hoped to figure that one out soon enough.. anyways it was time to pay attention to said professor now "Hello Professor Bentley!" he greeted her cheerfully "How are you today Professor? and how is Caltex? I haven't come to see you both in quite some time, my apologies" he smiled a little. Whenever he came here he always felt a little guilt for not having visited her and Caltex, he had visited there alot in his first year and after that nada. But he made a point to visit them soon enough, them and a few other professors. |
Aurora almost skipped down to the student garden. Almost. She loved herbology and she had been going stir crazy inside the castle - she needed a reason to go out into the cold air. She had her Slytherin scarf pulled high around her ears and her green leather gloves on. Her dragon hide ones were in her pocket, ready for gardening. Hehe. "Hello Professor Bentley!" she called cheerily. Gathering with the other students. "How are you?" she asked. Because half the class wasn't here yet so she figured she was allowed to ask whilst they arrived. |
Jezzabelle had been extremely careful as she had made her way down to the Greenhouses for the lesson. It was cold but the only body part that seemed to register the weather was the tip of her nose. She smiled and gave a cheerful, "Hello Professor Bentley." She was more than excited to see what would happen in Herbology today. It was her favorite subject and she wasn't going to miss out on it for anything. |

Wearing her heaviest school sweater under her Gryffindor robes, Kurumi made her way to the student garden and was a bit surprised to find everything so...frozen. Were things always this cold in September? She had wondered this when she had been dressing at least. It reminded her of the horrible things that had happened when the snow dragon had suddenly appeared Relaxing a bit, Kurumi continued to make her way forward while she tugged on the purple scarf around her neck - another gift. "Good day, professor," she said, greeting her Head of House with a shy smile. It was still a little awkward interacting with the woman now that she knew everything. Only Kurumi was different from the times in her office and during the first lesson. If nothing else, her eyes were back to being violet. Quote:
