Watching all the students go about the task with care and concern, she knew she was doing something right. The kids were finally getting it! Keeping a close eye on the first years... as well as a few known trouble makers, Seren monitored their progress and beamed proudly at the work they were accomplishing. It was nice to see them all work as a team... they should do so more often.

"Right everyone! Bring it in!" she called out when the ten minutes was up.

"Now, a lot of you touched on our second method of branch healing, and that is the method of using a splint and bandages to secure the break and to allow the branch to heal on its own." She paused here... just to make sure she had their attention, "However, to speed the process along a bit, we need to apply a drop of Mooncalf Solution to each of the ends before connecting them. Remember, this will only work on non-severe partial breaks such as these," she said, indicating to a snapped branch of a young spruce beside her.

"When bandaging the branch, you need to remember to be very careful with how you reconnect the ends, make sure it fits in perfectly... then tap it gently with your wand where you want the splint and bandage to go and we use the incantation ferula."

"I'm sure many of you will be familiar with the spell... I'm led to believe you were taught it in a Healing Seminar last year." Which was somewhat handy... or at least it was for her, this way she had less to teach.

"Again, first years, partner up with somebody that knows the spell and give it a go. Practice makes perfect, and this is your opportunity to practice as much as you want." There were many many more partial breaks of this nature than any others... so the students had free reign for a while.
"For this part of the task I will give you about fifteen, maybe twenty minutes, I have vials of Mooncalf Solution, so come and collect those first!" Digging her gloved hands deep into her robes pockets she started pulling out small, slim vials half-filled with a light opaque brown liquid.
"You may climb the trees should you wish to tend to the higher branches, just remember to take care of yourself AND the trees in doing so."
