Easy...well no, it hadn't exactly been the easiest of tasks. But Ella was like a female superman. Wait...that would be superwoman so-She was like superwoman! Well at least when it came to ice cream. She could muster up the strength to cart tubs of ice cream around any day of the week.

A bit of everything huh? Ella smiled at this, agreeing that one should have a bit of each topping to create the best possible sundae experience. It was a science really, and Ella was a serious ice cream scientist. Picking up her own bowl, Ella went first for the sprinkles. "You know," She said as she scooped the rainbow sprinkles on her ice cream, "I really think ice cream can cure any problems...at least for a little while." And now she was moving on to the hot fudge, her reason being she liked the crunch of the sprinkles mixed with the chocolaty goodness. "What are your thoughts?" On the powers of ice cream.

He listened to her as he walked along the line and added the toppings as he went along, he slowed down a little as he listened to her. Cure any problems? What did he think? He thought about it for a little while, did he think that ice-cream could cure problems? well they did have a certain healing power within them. "I agree with you, thinking about it they can cure any problem that you may have. If only I had thought of ice-cream when I had some problems that I needed solving. " he smiled a little as he moved along slowly thinking about the numerous times he needed curing of his problems but didn't know how at the time, well he did but it never entered his mind to come down here and go for Dr Ice-Cream. Ice-cream had some incredible powers within it that nothing could match when it came to healing and curing problems.

Ella was now on to the whipped cream, which in her opinion was best placed on to the sundae directly after the hot fudge. She smiled as she squirted it on, making it go round and round so it looked like a tiny spiral staircase. Hehehe. She looked up at Harvey and grinned at him when he said he agreed with her. "I guess I just think that after taking some time and enjoying ice cream I tend to like...see things more clearly." If that made any sense. Ella wasn't sure that it did, though.

"What's your all time favorite flavor?" The second year asked as she headed for the crushed oreos. She sprinkled them on, watching as they covered the whipped cream. YUM! This was going to be SO good.

Harvey followed her along the line and added the awesome toppings that she had lined up for them. He smiled listening to her "Yeah that is also true.. I agree with you that on that as well.. clearing your mind and showing you everything clearly" he nodded. Yeah this ice-cream could that too.. this was like super ice-cream it had so many powers that it could probably win in a confectionery war, mm that would be interesting to see a confectionary war. He then looked at her as she asked him his all time favourite flavour.. he thought about this for a moment "Well I could go for the chocolate, vanilla and strawberry.. but then after having ice-cream at Florean's.. I have to say Bertie Botts ice-cream. After eating the candy I decided to try out the ice-cream and I did with all its weird flavours just hitting you and making you realise that you have more flavours there then you can count on your hand." he stopped.. why did he have to go on so much about just ice-cream.. "So I choose Bertie Botts.. how about you?" he asked as he continued with the toppings trying to forget how much he had just talked about ice-cream.

Ella was pleased and a bit surprised to hear that Harvey actually agreed with her ice cream thoughts. She really hadn't expected him too, especially since she was a bit ice cream crazyyy. She smiled as she headed to the cherries, that being the last item she needed to complete her sundae. Opening the lid, she picked out the biggest one she could find and placed it on top with a grin. TAAA-DAAAA!

As Harvey started to ramble on about ice cream flavors, Ella picked up her spoon and leaned back against the counter waiting until Harvey was finished to take a bite. She laughed softly, amused, as he continued his internal debate about flavors. WAIT! "They have Bertie Botts ice cream?!" She asked excitedly, bouncing a bit. WHY hadn't she noticed that last time she was there?! "That sounds amazing. Good choice, Harvs." As for Ella's favorite flavor, that was easy. Since she started eating ice cream she had always loved the same favorite. "I love coffee oreo. It's just...well I honestly can't even describe how delicious it is." And the second year closed her eyes thinking about it, a smile forming on her lips. When she opened them again, she laughed sheepishly. "I uh-well I guess I just really like that flavor. It was my granddad's favorite too."

Harvey watched as she opened the lid and looked around inside before she picked out a cherry and topped her sundae with it. He watched as she picked up her spoon and leaned against a counter listening to him going on and on about ice-cream flavours, and remembered that his rambling was well received with her when she laughed a little. He grinned and looked at her "Oh yeah they do, thats they only one I order when I go there, next time we are there we will go have Bertie Botts ice-cream" he smiled at her as she told him it was a good choice "Thanks yeah it is amazing.. all those weird Bertie Botts flavours in an ice-cream.. you never know which one you going to get next just like with the candy" he chuckled as he remembered all the flavours that hit him everytime he had the ice-cream.

He smiled as he went along and topped his ice-cream some more as he listened to her talk about her favourite ice-cream. "Mmm that sounds good too.. oh I don't think you need to describe it, I just have to imagine the coffee flavour mixed with the oreos flavour.. mmm yup its goood!!" he chuckled as he imagined it. He watched her close her eyes a smile coming onto her lips as she thought about it, he chuckled as she laughed a little sheepishly "Oh ok .. well thats good then at least someone likes the same flavour as your grandad" he smiled.. maybe she was quite a bit like her grandad in many ways.

That sounded like an awesome plan...getting Bertie Botts ice cream with Harvey. For some reason the combination made Ella quite happy and she didn't even feel all confuzzled or awkward. Returning the smile, Ella nodded. "It's a plan then. I'm holding you to it." And now Harvey couldn't back out of their ice cream date get together even if he wanted to.

Ella was glad that Harvey understood how epic the ice cream she was talking about was. He was good at this, the ice cream banter thing. Ella approved. "Yeah, grandad and I always went to get ice cream together. He was my best friend growing up...since I didn't have a lot of friends my own age." Not that she had minded. Her gramps had been spectacular company. "What are your grandparents like?" She asked next, taking another spoonful of sundae and savoring it. YUM!

Harvey was done with his sundae finally after adding a small cherry on the top of a mountain of whipped cream, he stood next to her as they continued to talk.. he smiled and nodded "Ok you hold me to it and make sure I don't forget our BB (Bertie Botts) plan. If I do you give me a nudge in the right direction" he smiled some more, he wouldn't forget their plan but it would give her something nice to do for him, remind him of their plan to get ice-cream together.

He listened scooping out some ice-cream and eating it as he listened to her talk about her grandad "Thats good, well with your grandad you didn't need a friend cause he was your best friend.. what more would you need. " he smiled as he tried to imagine Ella with a grandad for a best friend. It was a good thought that he was imagining, she then asked him about his "Well as I said before I didn't get to know 3 of them but that final grandpa was also like my buddy. He was there as the reponsible adult to help me through any problems I might have had and he like your grandad was a good friend to me, we would hang out alot. Us 3 kids and him doing lots of things together all of them fun." he smiled .. yup he had been Harvey's favourite grandpa, granted that he was the only one he got to know properly in a way that he could have fond memories of him.

Ella eyed Harvey's sundae and decided he was quite a good sundae maker. The whipped cream mountain was seriously great and had good height to it...which was clearly very important when making sundaes. Her eyes traveled up from the sundae to his own eyes when he began talking again. "Don't worry, I won't let you forget it." The second year was actually looking forward to it. And she was really eager to try the new ice cream flavor! NOM!

That was true. Ella really didn't have time to mourn not having many friends because she was always off having adventures with her grandfather. And DUH! How could she have forgotten that she already talked to Harvey about his grandad before? Harvey was his favorite, yeah? She smiled at him, nodding in acknowledgement. "Oh yeah, I do remember you telling me that. So you get what I had with my grandad then. The friendship part. I miss him a lot." And she hoped she was making him proud by working hard in school and being a good friend. "He'd approve of these sundaes, I know that for sure." She said with a grin before eating another huge spoonful.

Jory grinned. "It isn't complicated. It's all sort of fun. Mixing stuff together and all. It's as you said, like Potions,'' he said. But he was bewildered at one thing which he voiced to Gwen. "Er...I don't mean to sound mean or anything but how is it you are so good at Potions but not at cooking or baking?'' In both cases, there were instruction to be followed after all.

"It's no problem,'' the badger said consulting the list of recipes Gwen had given him. "They all sound delicious,'' he muttered but then his eyes caught the Hawaiian recipe. Pineapples... Jory's favourite fruit. "Would you mind if we made thisone?'' he asked.

Not complicated? Fun? Were they even talking about the same thing? ‘It doesn’t seem so to me…’, the fourth year admitted and then glimpsed back at the recipe. Pffft. So complex…, the Ravenclaw told herself, but then Jory said something that made Gwen draw her attention back towards him. ‘I’ve been asking myself the same question…’, she said, with a puzzled look on her face. ‘Is it weird?’ That she was incapable of making tea, but could brew rather complex potions?

‘They do sound delicious’, the fourth year nodded. Especially when you are sure you are not going to food-poison somebody because of your cooking ‘skills’. ‘Not at all’, Gwendolyn said after having examined the recipe her friend had suggested. Of course, as long as he was helping. ‘Should we gather the ingredients, then?’

Harvey noticed that she was eyeing his sundae "Hey no eyeing my sundae you have your own, this is mine!" he laughed. They had both made their own sundaes, so no sharing yeah? She then looked at him and he kind of felt a little bad for not wanting to share, ok so maybe he could share a little. He smiled as she said that she wouldnt let him forget it, good so it was settled next time they were in Diagon together they would head to Florean's and eat ALOT of ice-cream. Preferably not so much that they end up feeling quite sick from all the ice-cream cause that was not good, it would ruin the good time they would be having from hanging out with each other.

He smiled and nodded "Yeah I did, I guess all gramps are like that.. well ours were like that anyways. Yeah I guess you always miss that friend that you loved alot" he smiled knowing that even though he did have other friends at the time no-one could measure upto his grandpa, so that was one friend that he was always going to miss just like he would miss other friends too from the wizarding world only. "Oh I am sure he would have approved cause they are the bestest sundaes ever!! You sure do know how to make sundaes, you should have the Sundae Queen title or something. Yeah!!! Me King Ravenpuff and you will be Queen Sundae or The Sundae Queen or something like that" he said quickly jamming an ice-cream filled spoon into his mouth before there could be a chance of him ruining the fun they were having.

Ella giggled, rolling her eyes at him. "I was only admiring what a good sundae maker you are, Harvs. I'm perfectly happy eating my own." And she grinned at him before taking another huge bite of her sundae as if to prove her point. "Yum!"

"Funny that we have so much in common and we were never friends before now." Ella said thoughtfully after listening to Harvey talk about their grandfather experiences. "Imagine if we'd never talked! You would have missed out on having an awesome friend..." Giggle. Okay so she was just kidding but seriously, imagine if they hadn't become friends? Who would've helped Ella name the elephant!?

At the sundae queen comment, Ella jumped up and down excitedly. "It's a perfect nickname! The King and Queen of Hogwarts!...how royal." She said, smiling up at him before taking another spoonful of ice cream. "And as King and Queen, we're responsible for making our friends have the best possible time at our kingdom for the rest of this term." She said in her most royal tone, giggling all the while.

Harvey chuckled "Mhm.. sure you were.. I know how ice-cream lovers think!" he laughed as she ate some of her sundae to prove to him. He did the same not as huge as hers but enough that he was claiming his sundae, it was his and his alone.. and now he had a brain-freeze.. he forgot that big bites of ice-cream gave him brain freezes.. he put the spoon into his bowl and held his head "Brain freeze!" he told her so that she wouldn't get worried as to what happened to Harvey.

Harvey nodded "Yeah it is funny.. yeah we do have alot in common I never noticed that before but now that you mention it we do" he smiled.. how had he not noticed that before "Oh yes I would have missed out on having an awesome friend" he chuckled.. she was an awesome friend, he wouldn't have had so much fun hanging around the Topiary, owlery or even here in the kitchen if it weren't for Ella. Cause he would never have stepped into this kitchen if she hadn't asked him to join her.

He laughed as he watched her jumping up and down at the nickname he had given her.. he nodded it was! "Glad you like your new nickname, you gave me one and now I have give you yours" he chuckled "Oh I agree with you, that shall be our responsibility as King and Queen. Shouldn't be too hard since we are royals that know how to have fun at this school" he said standing up straight and also trying to put on royal tone, which wasn't very good but it worked.. he then relaxed and chuckled.. yup here they were the King and Queen in the kitchen laughing away and having alot of fun having planned some more for their summer.

Ella wanted to laugh at Harvey's comment on ice cream lovers but seeing as her mouth was FILLED with the stuff, she settled on raising her eyebrows instead.

O___O Oh no! NOT BRAIN FREEZE.

"Quick, Harvs! Put your tongue on the roof of your mouth." Ella's dad had taught her that, though she wasn't sure it always worked. She stepped a bit closer to Harvey and watched him carefully to see if it would work for him.

Ella smiled to herself, very focused on her ice cream all of the sudden. It was actually quite nice that Harvey thought she was an awesome friend. It's what she tried to be, a good friend...and a good person too. Apparently it was working so that was great to hear. But wait, she should tell Harvey he was just as much of an awesome friend, right? "And I would've missed out too, you know." And hopefully he understood what that meant.

True. The nickname giving thing. She had given him his so it was only fair for him to return the favor. And he had done a good job, too! Well done, Harvs! "Yup, we definitely know how to have fun. I think I shall declare every day ice cream sundae day...that's sure to cheer everyone up!" Imagine! What a wonderful thing it would be to eat this stuff EVERY DAY.

Harvey heard her tell him to put his tongue on the roof of his mouth which he did and massaged his head as he waited for it to pass, slowly the freeze passed him by and he stood up straight it was then that he realised that Ella was a little closer than before. He looked stared at Ella for a moment before he snapped back and smiled at her "I am ok now ... thanks" he said not knowing whether her trick worked but he would be happy if it actually did work, maybe it did who knew.

He looked at her being focused on her ice-cream and he smiled as he just watched her for a moment or two before looking at his ice-cream pretending to scoop out ice-cream and whip cream in equal ratios. He then popped the ice-cream into his mouth as he looked at her again when he heard her tell him something. He was confused by what she meant.. he thought it over, remembering what he had just said and slowly but surely it dawned on him what she meant by that.. he ran a hand through his hair "I guess I never thought of it like that, both of us missing out" he had never thought of himself being an awesome friend, many had told him that he was a good or a great friend but he never saw it that way as usual.

He smiled brightly as she announced her declaration "Yeah! that would!! the Queen's declaration has made the King very happy" he chuckled as he ate some more of his ice-cream in celebration.. that would be so cool!! Ice-cream everyday!! woot!!

Okay so maybe Ella was a little too close for comfort. Honestly though, she didn't mean anything by it. The second year was just seriously curious to see whether or not the trick she had suggested would work. And so she kept her eyes on her friend, standing right in front of him and watching curiously as he massaged his temples. Only when he answered her did she realize she was standing so close. O__O She took a step back and smiled at him sheepishly. "I'm sorry. Was that weird?" She asked, eyebrows raised. "...Anyway, I'm glad it worked."

The second year could feel her friend watching her. It made her feel quite weird and she looked up at him with raised eyebrows, wondering what was up. "Do I have ice cream on my face?" She asked, wiping at her face with her sleeve. It wouldn't be the first time that had happened. Her sundaes were delicious but tended to be quite messy. But then Harvey was looking all confused? What was he confused about? "You okay?" She asked curiously before he finally answered her question. She smiled. Of course he hadn't thought about that. He didn't really think too highly of himself, did he?

Grin. The declaration made her happy too. She took another bite of her sundae and once again leaned against the counter.

He watched as she stepped back away from him and shook his head "No.. no don't be sorry.. it wasn't weird.. it was... nice.. like good.. good that you cared" there he didn't feel that it was weird... he kinda liked it.. and they were friends so that was allowed. He and Mins were always close, she had slept on his shoulder, kisses on cheeks, arms looped together etc.. so Ella standing close was not weird at all.. it was nice. He nodded "I am glad it did too" he smiled at her. It was nice for her to care about him, but that was normal cause friends always cared about each other.

Oh no! he had been caught watching her, how to get out of this one?.. "Hmm? what? oh no.. no I was just thinking about something.. sorry if it seemed like I was staring" he smiled hoping she would buy that.. if she asked what was he thinking about then what? he had better come up with something quick! Was he ok? He nodded "Yeah I am ok.. I have ice-cream in one hand, spoon in the other, and a friend here with me enjoying this ice-cream.. so I am bound to be ok" he smiled as he ate some more ice-cream. It was good! All those toppings she had laid out really worked with the ice-cream and whipped cream at the top.

He could see that the declaration had made her just as happy, see they were already good at their responsibilities they were happy with this declaration.

It was nice...like good..good that she cared. Ella smiled at this, feeling a little less awkward about the whole thing. "Of course I care, you're becoming one of my best-" She stopped, eyes going a bit wide. She hadn't meant to go there. Especially because she knew Harvey already had best friends of his own. He probably didn't need another one, right? She looked at him again without finishing her sentence and shrugged, a small smile on her face. And then another spoonful of ice cream was shoveled in so she would stop talking.

So he wasn't staring then? But she had clearly seen him so..."Thinking about something? Well what were you thinking about?" And maybeee she was being a little nosy but she was quite a curious second year. And she couldn't quite figure out Harvey at the moment so she needed some clarification.

Ella was glad he was okay and nothing was bothering him. Though honestly, what would be?! They were eating ice cream...ICE CREAM! The problem solver extraordinaire! And D'aww, he was happy to be here with her. The second year leaned over a bit and nudged him before returning to her spot leaning against the counter.

Jory looked at Gwen and replied honestly. "Well, I do find it weird,'' he said. "Maybe if you put a bit more...uh effort as you have for Potions, you'd be an excellent cook.'' Jory was sure that. "Besides, you're so good at that, there would be room for being good at both.''

The Puff was glad Gwen agreed. He'd never eaten Pineapple muffins before much less bake them. But that didn't worry him, for he was sure they'd be able to make the muffins correctly.

"Yup, we should,'' Jory said. "I'll take the first four and you take the second four,'' he told his Raven friend.

The Badger began hunting around the Kitchen and soon found the flour and eggs. With a measuring cup, he carefully measured out the flour and dumped it into a huge bowl. Next, he broke the eggs and whisked it in a separate bowl.

Now, he went off to see where he would find a pineapple and skim milk. Soon, the Badger found a suitable sized pineapple stored with loads of other fruits. "Whoa... that's a lot of fruit in one place,'' he thought as he took the pineapple. He continued on, searching for milk, which he soon found also stored with a stash of other kinds of milk. But they were all labelled, so he had no trouble finding the one he wanted. And after measuring out one and a half cups, he replaced the rest.

Jory took a knife and peeled the pineapple. He loved the scent the fruit gave. Finished with the peeling, he not cut it cup into small pieces. Now, he began crushing the pieces.

"How are you coming along, Gwen?'' he asked looking around for his friend.

Evelyn wrapped an arm around Blue's shoulders as they waited for the elf to return with their orders. She was touched that Blue brought her such a thoughtful and lovely present. She was pretty sure her famkily wouldn't send half as nice a present. Blue was the only family that actually cared about her.. Before she knew it, the elf was back with their orders. "Thank you." Evelyn smiled at the elf. However, her smile turned into a frown when she noticed the expression on Blue's face. She looked really upset. She placed her sandwich on a table nearby before she turned towards the girl, concerned.

OH GOSH. Evelyn tried really hard to not let the tears fall from her eyes as she listened to Blue talk. "Hey, we're definitely going to visit each other, okay?" Evelyn was going to try really hard to spend a few days with Blue every year..until she moved back to London, that is. "You're my sister, Blue. You know you can tell me anything. I'm going to see you every year..don't yoy worry about it." Evelyn wrapped her arms around the girl in a hug. "You can't get rid of me that easily, you know." Evelyn added, with a sad smile. And..her next words made the Hufflepuff cry. Lucky to have her as a sister.. She was so happy to hear that..she hadn't been this happy in a while. "I'm really lucky to have you as a sister too, Blue. Really, really lucky."

Evelyn continued to smile when Blue said that she wouldn't get into trouble. Now, that was great thing to hear..and she hoped her sister would follow through with that promise. GOSH. How on earth was she going to be able to move to Scotland? She took a deep breath and brushed her tears away before she looked down at the little girl. She hugged the girl more tightly when Blue buried her face in her shirt. "Blue, please don't cry. I promise that I'll see as often as possible." She bent down and kissed the top of Blue's head.

If there was one thing that Renesmee thought was actually good about winter, it had to be her favorite warm, declicious hot choccie. In the cold season, she would have a warm cup of the drink at least once a day. She couldn't go by with out it. For this exact reason the fourth year wondered off to the kitchens near by her common room. She tickled the pear and walked inside to room filled with the elf creatures.

With a small smile she grinned at a few elves and then she asked one of them for her usual hot chocolate, he then went off and dissapeared. After a few moments of waiting she could smell an amazing choclatey aroma an then the elf appeared, holding a mug in he's hand. The red head's smile grew a little as she took the drink from him and thanked him. With sips every now and then, Nessie watched the elves work, it sort of entertained her and it seemed more exciting then going back to the common room again.

It made her want to be busy like them too, except she couldn't think of anything she could do. So she just stood on her own looking a little odd.

Harvey smiled just as she did and listened to her before she stopped mid-sentence.. why did girls do that? plus why had she done that? what was the rest of it? did she mean to say best FRIEND if so why didn't she just say it? Ok he had to ask seeing her reaction to the whole thing. "Ella.. you didn't finish that sentence.. best what? friend? is that what you meant to say?" he asked of course it was that, there was nothing else it could be. They were friends who were getting close so the logical answer was him being her best friend.

And there it was! he knew she was going to ask that good thing he had come up with an answer "Oh nothing much just kind of planning what we can do when we hang out around Diagon apart from going to Florean's, cause lets face it ice-cream all day long is going to make us feel quite sick. So maybe take breaks and hang around the other shops in Diagon in between ice-cream shifts.. thats all" he smiled. Phew! good save Harvey.. right? cause they had planned to hang out since she was holding him to that so that was a good explanation.

He looked at her and smiled brightly as she nudged him, ah yes the nudge. Everyone loved giving him those but there were only a few select GIRLS that gave him those regularly and Ella was one of them. He remembered their discussion regarding nudges and how he liked them and they made him smile. PLUS there was ice-cream and a friend in the mix *woot*!

Mental groan. WHY did he have to ask. How was she even meant to explain why she had stopped mid sentence without sounding like a weirdo? And besides, he clearly had already figured it out...did she really have to say it out loud? Biting her lip, her eyes traveled from her ice cream up to his and she shrugged. "I uh-yeah...that's what I mean to say." And why it was so hard to get it out was the hardest part to explain. The second year put down her ice cream and turned to look at Harvey, arms crossed protectively across her. "It's just that I know you already have your best friends. And I don't want you to feel like you have to hang around me all the time because I um-well because I consider you one of mine." Biting her lip again she looked down at her shoes. Did that even make sense, what she had said? "I'm not explaining it right..."

The second year wasn't sure she was buying what Harvey was selling. She raised an eyebrow at him, considering his explanation. Maybe it was safer to believe him...cause if he wasn't really thinking about those things...well Ella didn't want to go there. It was too confusing. "Ice cream breaks will unfortunately be necessary so good job thinking ahead." She said after a few minutes, offering him a small smile. "We'll have to stop by Sugarplums for some sweets, you know." Just a heads up!

So Harvey still clearly liked the nudging thing. She could tell by the way his smile grew a bit and it made hers become a little larger as well. And what was this?! O__O She was on her last bite of ice cream? She frowned as she scooped it up with her spoon, not ready to be done yet. "It had to end sometime." She said aloud, guiding the spoonful into her mouth.

Harvey watched as she bit her lip and went through explaining what she had meant, he watched her put her ice-cream down and go further into detail. What she said surprised him quite a bit! He put his down and turning to face her looked at her "No you explained it perfectly. Ella just because I have best friends from before doesn't mean I can't have more. That's like me saying to Justin that he can't be my best friend cause I already have Mins as mine, Mins was already a best friend to me before Justin even became one." he explained knowing that Ella hadn't been around when they all became best friends "So... we can be best friends too and as for hanging around you.. Ella as best friends we can hang out as much as we want to. There is no limit to how much we hang out and I love hanging out with you, if I didn't love it you would most definitely have known. " he smiled as he said this realising that he had just named her his best friend too, and it felt right seeing how close they had become in such a short time. So were they best friends to each other now? It seemed that way, they were entitled to hang out with each other more now right? Well as much as they had been already if not more.

He saw her raise an eyebrow and knew that she was still suspicious, and hoped that she wouldn't ask anymore. Cause really if she did, what was he to say he himself didn't have an answer for that! He had never been this clueless before in his life, so why now? He was glad that she didn't ask, maybe she was suspicious before but now she bought his story? He hoped so.. "It's always good to think ahead" he smiled before he had an even bigger smile "Oh of course we do! Can't go to Diagon and not go to Sugarplums and stock up for the day.
