He raised an eyebrow in a challenging way. How loud was she going to go? Loud enough for all the other students to look at them strangely? Well, that seemed like it was going to be likely. "NOM!" said Carson slightly louder Eliza. Luckily, neither of them had earned any strange looks from the house elves or any of the other students in the kitchen. Not yet, anyway. But there was still plenty of time. And they hadn't gotten to the top of their lungs yet.

How had his third year been? "It's been... Interesting! I interrupted a meeting in the common room" he responded not feeling very superhero like. Captain Candy Cane was feeling a little embarrassed. Though he wasn't entirely sure this was something to be embarrassed about. And neither was the fact he thought Eliza was quite cute.

But it wasn't their fault they wanted to have a little fun. So what if they were being loud. The best fun came from being loud where they shouldn't be. "Yep!" he nodded. Lafay wasn't pleased but she didn't tell him off. "Not really but she didn't tell me off. Just hissed at me" he responded. Not literally but she didn't sound all too pleased. She just didn't give him a harsh telling off.

Back to Lafay. The SCARY Potions mistress and head of house. She really was scary. And he'd not seen the full extent of her yet. No! He'd not even seen the beginning! He was sure there was more scaryness behind that professor but he was keen not to get on her bad side. He really didn't want to end up in detention with Lafay. He didn't even want to get told off by her. "Am I the only person who she scares?" he asked cautiously. He hoped he wasn't the only person. But what was there not to be scared of? She was intimidating! Nuff said!

Oh was that his best? Really? She flicked her hair over her shoulder and prepared for the next nom. "NOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!" heheh. This was going to be fun.

She didn't like Lafay much actually. She was kind of creepy and the kind of person you might cast as the Evil Queen in a Pantomine. "Well, that makes two!" she replied. She actually kind of liked watching other people get told off, but as long as she was standing a safe distance away and wasn't the one getting told off. The worst thing would be a detention. Ick, imagine that, she must be mad in those.

Were they still not finished? Apparently not. But he had to admit, this was fun. There was just one person missing. The co-creator. ALEC SHOULD HAVE BEEN HERE TO JOIN IN THE FUN! But he wasn't. But now they were back on the subject of possibly the scariest professor he'd ever known. But he didn't really know Lafay very well and didn't particularly want to either. But she was scary enough after just one encounter. And that was only a small encounter. She didn't even tell him off but her tone was enough for him to want to avoid being told off by her. Assuming the two of them weren't going to get in trouble for playing the 'nom' game! "I'd honestly hate to get on the wrong side of her. It was bad enough interrupting that meeting. Imagine if it was anything major" he responded.

Who'd have thought standing in a kitchen full of food, students and house elves could be so fun? He'd not had this much fun in a kitchen since he had a food fight with his older sister in the middle of the kitchen whilst their parents were trying to cook dinner. But that day was one of the funniest and probably the strangest day he'd ever experienced. Why was it strange, you might ask? Because it was very rare that he and his sister EVER got on when it came down to food or whatever else revolved around it. The food fight was something that started from an argument over who was getting which cookies or who was eating which flavour ice-cream. Though his sister should have known not to mess with Carson and his ice-cream. Aside from Alec and Harvey and Bethan and his friends from Ireland, ice-cream was his best friend. And now he could add Eliza to that list. The two of them were inseparable. Yep, wherever ice-cream was, Carson was right there eating it. Who could blame him? Ice-cream was possibly the tastiest food ever created. Whoever created it was sheer genius. That made Ben and Jerry sheer genius. Yep! THEY WERE ABSOLUTE GENIUS JUST FOR THE CREATION OF SO MANY YUMMY, CHOCOLATY FLAVOURS. And they made cookie dough. Even better!

But whatever he and Eliza were nomming at sure tasted good. He could just taste the cookie dough ice-cream in his mouth though he was only thinking about it. But now he wanted some. Maybe the house elves or one of the students knew how to make ice-cream! MAYBE THEY KNEW THE RECIPE. MAYBE THEY COULD GIVE CARSON THE RECIPE! "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM" he responded his voice raising more. This was more fun than he first thought! Yep! He was having a lot of fun playing the ever amazing 'nom' game with Eliza. The girl who he thought was actually quite beautiful. But though she was exceedingly pretty, Bethan was the girl he really wanted to have a relationship with. He'd just not plucked up the courage to actually tell her that he liked her or even ask her out. He NEEDED to tell her that. Noted! "Ya know, this food sure tastes good!" he said in the hopes of taking his mind off Bethan. No such luck!

But as for Lafay. No matter how much he tried or what he thought about, nothing would take his mind off how much she petrified him. Just from what Ad had told him back in the summer frightened him to his wits end. Imagine having a detention with Lafay. He'd heard her say something about punishment at that meeting but he didn't quite catch it all. But it didn't sound very nice. Note to self: DO. NOT. ANNOY. LAFAY! "And stay out of trouble would be a good idea too..." he added. Well, duh! Getting a detention wouldn't exactly help matters. Now that WOULD annoy Lafay. Just like not getting any house points would. Yep, there were a lot of ways to avoid annoying Lafay and Carson was going to attempt them all to the best of his ability. Whatever that was!

Eliza watched Carson dig into ice-cream next. Oh, ice-cream my dear friend where have you been? If anything would make her nom even louder, it was ice-cream. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM!" that ought do the trick.

Eliza thought of all the housepoints the History of Magic Proffessor had taken off her and gulped. They were only a few so she wouldn't mind too much, right?

Okay, he didn't need it but now he really wanted some and he had no idea where in the world it was being kept in this place. Maybe he should go searching for it. Or he could just summons some. "Accio ice-cream?" he mumbled in the hopes of some turning up. No luck! Darn it! Well, this called for a SERIOUS hunt for whatever ice-cream Hogwarts had to offer. Time to search the place. And he would NOT give up un- Ooooooooh, chocolate! NO! ICE-CREAM MISSION! But the chocolate looked sooooooooo delicious. The house elves wouldn't mind if he ate some, would they. Nevermind! If they did it was tough. He was going to have some anyway. It was just a pity they didn't have cookies. AND ICE-CREAM THAT WAS VISIBLE TO THE NAKED EYE! He looked around desperately in the hopes of finding some letting his eyes fall on a tub full of ice-cream. "HALLELUJAH!" he smiled digging himself some out and standing eating it holding it in a protective way. It was HIS ice-cream. But he'd share with Eliza if she wanted some. Did she want any? "Want some?" he offered.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM" he screached. But now he had something to really nom about. This ice-cream tasted so good. But it wasn't his favourite. It wasn't cookie dough! But if he imagined it was, he'd get the taste of cookie dough, right? He hoped so. He kept digging his spoon into the bowl of ice-cream and putting some in his mouth smiling at the taste as it hit his tongue perfectly. The intensity was... Well... Intense! How else could he describe the intensity of a taste other than saying it was intense. Maybe he could describe it as... As... AS COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY DELIGHTFULLY, DELICIOUSLY, INTENSE, AMAZING FULL OF FLAVOUR! Yeah! He'd stick with that. It described this flavour exactly the way he wanted to descibe it. PERFECT!

Eliza smiled and said yes to Carson's offer of ice-cream, it was some of the best food you could get. And. It. Tasted. So. Good. Period.

"MMMMMMmmmmm!" she grabbed a sppon a swallowed a mouthful. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!" oh, to be young.

Oichi had just finished her time in the hospital wing and she cringed just thinking about how much it hurt getting her leg back in it's socket. Just as she left the hospital wing she got her detention owl. She was thankful she still had some time to kick back before meeting with crazy. She headed down to the kitchens cause it was not quite dinner time but her detention time would not really give her much time to eat and she really wanted a treat the way she was feeling. She walked toward the back hoping a freind of hers may have thought to come by for a snack as well.

Taylor looked up from the bowl she was mixing cookie batter in. "Oh hey Oichi." She smiled, "How are you? I was going to make these for you as a get well soon thing." Tay laughed.

Oichi perked up as Tay approached her with a bowl of cookie dough and said she wasbaking them for her. "Awe, thats so sweet. Perhaps we could make the cookies together, and share the spoils", Oichi said with a smirk.

Taylor nodded and laughed, "Yeah sounds fun." She smiled and giggled, "Though i dont have much taste for sweets. The only sweets that i cant do without are eclairs." She shrugged and smiled.

"Oh, I like those Too. We can have the houselves whip us up some.". Oichi then looked around the kitchen and found a house elf. "Would you mind whipping me and my freind up a plate of eclairs". No my lady, I would not mind at all. It will just take a few minutes Oichi turned back to Tay, "Eclairs are on the way.",Oichi said smiling.

Taylor laughed and smiled, "Sorry, im half French and my mom always make them and i have such a sweet tooth when around them." She giggled.

"Well, theres nothing wrong with that", Oichi giggled. "So, why don't we have a seat and chat", Oichi said as she headed for the tables and took a seat. "So what is you're favorite thing about Hogwarts?", Oichi asked as she motioned for Tay to sit with her.

Taylor laughed and smiled, "Okay." She sat down, "Ummm my friends. What about you?"

There was only one thing to be said about this ice-cream. NOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMM! Period! But there was something not quite right about it. IT WASN'T COOKIE DOUGH! It was a pity if Carson was going to be completely honest and let's be honest, he was never that! Unless he was being honest about whether he liked a girl or not. And in this case the answer would be a stern YES! But nobody had asked and if the girl in question was to ask, he would probably hesitate to tell her. Of course! Who wanted to admit they liked someone to the person they liked? Unless they were normal people who didn't hyperventilate when it came to being truthful to a girl. But he wasn't normal and he DID hyperventilate. But Bethan wasn't around so he didn't need to admit it to her just yet. But maybe when he got the chance to, he would. He definitely would. He couldn't get her out of his head right now. That probably made him a little stalkerish. But he honestly didn't mean to seem that way. He just really liked the Ravenclaw girl and probably wouldn't get her out of his head until he'd admitted how he felt and found out whether she felt the same way or not. Time would tell. He didn't care that there was an age gap. Since when did age matter? It was just a number, right? It's the feelings that count! And he felt strongly about Bethan. VERY strongly.

He raised an eyebrow watching as Eliza dug a spoon into the ice-cream they were now sharing. NOW they were nomming for a reason. THEY WERE NOMMING OVER THE TASTYNESS OF THE ICE-CREAM! Which reminded him, he NEEDED to find out how to make this stuff. That way he'd be able to make his own specially made CRAZY flavours and they would be exclusive to the Carson McIntyre ice-cream parlour. Yep, Captain Candy Cane had his very own imaginary ice-cream parlour. Maybe he could open up his little parlour in the boys' dorm. He could make a little tent with a table set up with different ice-cream's laid out for other boys' choosing. Maybe he could even set up his little parlour in the common room. OR THE COURTYARD! He'd get more custom in the courtyard. But, of course, he'd need to try to avoid eating all the ice-cream. Note to self: DON'T EAT IT ALL BEFORE YOU GET CUSTOMERS! But it did mean Alec would be his best friend for life just for being able to make ice-cream AND having his very own little ice-cream parlour! Even if it was only a little business. But it'd be a business with a lot of customers. And Eliza would be one of those customers for sure. And Alec. And Bethan. Maybe even Ad.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM" shouted Carson at the top of his voice looking around to see the other students in the kitchen. Were they going to get in trouble for this? He sure hoped not! And he certainly didn't want Lafay finding out about this. She'd have a fit if she found out two of her students were stood in the kitchen eating ice-cream and screaming at the top of their lungs disturbing the peace instead of doing their homework. But homework was for boring people. And they certainly were NOT boring people. No, sir! They were miles off it!

Oh, and now there were a load of other students in the Kitchen to watch them 'nomming'. Hmm. "ONOMONOMONOMONOMNOMNOM!" she raised her voce a note louder than Carson's.

After running into Edvard, Alice finally made it down to the Kitchens. It had been such a long time since the third year had been down there, and she had taken a detour and somehow ended up on the fourth floor. But, not nearly soon enough, the girl had found her way. Dinner was hours away and she had to fill her growling stomach with something, didn't she?

The lioness reached the portrait of fruit that hung on the wall, the inconspicuous doorway into the Kitchens. She reached out her index finger and gently stroked the pear. The door swung open, and Alice slipped inside. There were many other students in the small room, but she paid them no attention. Sneaking away a tin of peanut butter fudge that was laying nearby, the third year found herself a cozy nook and slipped a piece into her mouth. Yumm.

Charlie entered the kitchen and immediately headed over toward the cabinets. He smiled a little (but only a little, because he was in a pretty crummy mood), noticing this was where he'd scared Brooklyn into falling. That seemed like a long time ago. He opened the cabinet an pulled out a box of cookies, and some peanut butter for Brooke while he was at it. He sighed and hopped on the the counter and waited for Brooke to arrive, munching on some cookies and humming while he waited.
