Minerva giggled behind the tree. She looked around to see if they had followed her. She hurried and got a little more snow, it was just the first snow of the season so there wasn't a ton, but enough for a little yearly fight. She turned and jumped from behind the tree throwing one at each of them and taking off again laughing. "Seriously your going to let a girl beat you at a snowball fight!"

Justin saw her run out from behind the tree and stalked her from where she couldn't see him.... Then he full on ambushed her with two snowballs... right in the back.....

Harvey was still just wondering if he should join in and have a bit of fun with his two bestfriends, so he look round towards where Minnie was hiding

SPLAT!!

He got hit on the chest a few inches higher and she would have got his face, hiding again laughing she taunted them. Oh Harvey wasnt going to take that. He quickly made a few snowballs while being on the watch for anymore that were being aimed his way. He looked up to see that Justin had made two and was heading straight for her, before he knew he saw Justin throw his two right at her. Harvey tried hard to hold in his laughter as he crept upto her hiding place very slowly so that she wouldnt know that he was there and then he too would hit her with his two snowballs.

Justin watched as Harvey snuck up on her two and was readying his to throw at her as wellll.....Justin began to laugh hysterically....

Poor helpless Minerva :lol: was behind the tree when she saw Justin coming. She ran, but not fast enough and got hit with two snowballs. She ducked down to get more snow and didn't see Harvey coming up behind her. She looked just in time to see them coming at her head. She moved her face and the snow hit her hair. With wet purple hair she jumped up pulling out her wand. She flicked it and sent snow flying at both of them. They were really trying to gang up on her. She was the brains in the group and they actually thought they were going to win. She laughed as the snow hit both of them. "Have you had enough yet?" She laughed and lost concentration the snow stopped going towards them.

Jory returned Alex's grin. "Maybe we should go snorkeling and find out,'' he said. He had been diving before, two years back, but his mother wouldn't allow him to go too far down. She said he was too young but he made up his mind the next time, he'd definitely go explore more. “We could go visit the coral reefs where there loads of fishes living and who knows maybe we’d actually find one willing to chatter away,’’ he joked.


“So, if you don’t mind me asking, which of your parents has the magical blood?’’ Jory wondered aloud. It was a curious thing, the way witches and wizards were born to half bloods and muggles. Just as it was curious that squibs were born to magical folks.

"Really, Fancy? I think it is." Anya said with a bit of a smirk. Ah. Messer knew that it was cheating. She was sure of it. And there was no way he was going to make her feel guilty about that. "But... you know... if you did happen to come across some... say... hanging on a wall in Surrey... I couldn't keep you from looking."

"Are there different levels of cute? In your mind? Or is everything just cute?" she asked. Because for girls... or at least for her... there were things like baby animal cute or d'aww cute or even *brow* cute.

She smiled. "I know I'm not." she said waving a hand in dismissal. Sooner or later, eh? "Is there a particular reason you want to know so badly, Messer?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.

She looked at the ground for a moment. "Well, do you feel any different?" she asked. "Because if you don't... that means they couldn't possibly exist." It made sense.

''Nice place around there.''He said smiling.Than again every place in London was Nice.

''Nice to meet you as well.'He smiled at her and looked at the Yellow animals floating around.''Oh Drawing and writing songs for My guitar.''He explained.''Do you have any Hobbies?"'He asked.

Harvey shushed Justin as he laughed hysterically he was about give Harvey's game away, just then Harvey threw his balls at her but she ducked away just in time and only managed to get her hair to which he stomped his feet at having missed. He was then surprised to see her jump up an pulling out her wand she sent snow their way.

SPLAT!! SPLAT!!

Two hit Harvey as he shielded himself, he heard her laughing and no more hits? that didn't sound right. He was sure there were many more coming his way! He looked up to see her laughing and quite a few snowballs suspended in mid-air, he walked upto them looking. Nice! He then held onto two of them not moving them just holding onto them "Ahem!! Er Mins? You might wanna look here!" he smiled as he looked at her, he was getting ready to throw those two balls but only after she had seen that her magic had not followed her through.

Minerva looked just in time to see the snow fall back to the ground, but not before Harvey had two snowballs in his hands. She screamed with laughter and took off running away from them. She knew the boys were faster then her, but if she could have a good head start then she knew she would be able to get away from them. She tried to dive behind a tree and pull up some snow before Harvey could get to her.

Ella stood up. This conversation wasn't going anywhere. Mostly because Cardigan seemed to be hiding something. She could tell, what with the uneasiness and all. WHY was she so uneasy. The hard part was over, yeah? Ella had said what she wanted to say, asked what she needed to ask. Cardigan had done the same...what was left to be nervous about? Whatever it was, it must be bad. Especially because Cardigan kept dancing around the issue. It gave Ella a really queasy feeling in her stomach. "Well if you don't want to tell me then..." She started, wiping her clothes clean. "I guess maybe I should just go." That's what Cardigan wanted, right? She wanted Ella to leave so she didn't have to answer any more of her questions. "I guess this means we're not friends anymore?" She added in a very quiet voice, not quite looking Cardigan in the eyes. She couldn't. The second year was no longer angry with the girl but she felt kind of sad that she wouldn't just talk to her. Tell her the truth. In all honesty it was quite frustrating.

" You are gonna get it, Minnie!!!! You can run.... I won't tire so easily....." Justin said as he got up and scooped up enough snow to cover her head. He tore off running toward the sound of her laughter...... Finally she was in sight... Harvey coming up along side her flank and drove her towards Justin and his bounty of snow..... Poised for the attack.....And......Splat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Justin half tackled her to the ground and mashed it in her hair abd down the front of her jacket.....
He sat there laughing as she reacted...

"You play guitar, thats cool" she smiled. The blonde was beginning to notice there was a lot of musical people around here. "I play the piano and sing" she explained. Yeah those were a few hobbies, although she had more, but singing that was new. The blonde finally felt comfortable enough to sing around people now.

Harvey laughed as Minnie screamed with laughter and ran away before he could even start running, but he still ran after her as she tried to dive and get some snow rolled and made up before he had a chance to get to her. Just then he heard Justin yell out to Minnie as he got up, well there was two of them and one of her right.. so Harvey drove her towards Justin as she was covered in the snow that Justin had. Harvey laughed as he watched Justin put snow the front of her jacket and into her hair.. he didnt have the heart to throw the balls he had but he threw them anyway but not exactly with power but they did go splat! Harvey chuckled as he saw everyone laughing.. this hadnt happened in a long time he smiled as he thought this.

Minerva ran as fast as she could, but it just wasn't fast enough. She felt someone behind her and the next thing she knew she was on the ground having snow smashed on her. Before she could break free she was being hit again. They were ganging up on her AGAIN!!! She finally broke free and started jumping around "COLD..COLD...COLD.." She pulled her coat off shaking out the snow and brushing it off her shirt. "You two are going to wish you never did that." she pulled her wand and "Wingardium Leviosa" pointing her wand to the tree above them. The snow lifted and landed on top of the two boys.

Justin laughed at Minerva as Harvey pegged her again.... Then she looked super mad and all of a sudden they were covered in Snow...
" Oh!.... Well done, Wheatborn..... Today you rise victorious..... But we shall meet again...." he chuckled sounding like a gladiator....

Harvey watched as broke free and jumped around trying to get the snow off of her before she took off her jackets and brushed off the excess snow threatening them. Harvey thought that she couldn't do too much damage right. how wrong he was cause the next moment her wand was out and next moment he was covered in snow.. along with Justin. He listened as Justin declared her victorius while Harvey was stunned at having been covered in snow all of a sudden.. he then shook himself like a dog would trying to get all the snow off of him. This reminded him of his first year where Ronnie had pelted him so many times he was completely covered in snow and it made him cold.. very cold. But both times it was a lot of fun to have snowball fights with friends.. afterall thats what the snow was there for to be used as weapons against each other without actually causing any harm except making each other freeze.

Minerva smiled as they both decided to give up. She shivered from being wet and cold. Pocketing her wand she pulled her wet hair into a pony tail and grabbed her hat from her bag and placed it on her head. "I hope you to had fun.' she laughed, "I have really missed the Amigos together." She sat back on the blanket even though she was cold she didn't want to leave their company just yet it had been to long since they talked and hung out.

Erin gave a lot of her time in making such an intricate design of two little cupids, two girls. Well, girls don't usually come in television and movies as cupids. Cupids are little boys. But then, those two little girl cupids represent Erin and Beezus, they're the best of friends and oh! Didn't they say that they were bestfriends even before Erin left Hogwarts last year halfway of the term? Did they? Now, she couldn't even remember it. Was that too long to forget such a beautiful friendship or she's the only one who thought it was beautiful? Erin admits that she was not so much of a good friend to Beezus before she left but Erin was there for her... all the time. They even write letters to each other and she hadn't mentioned about this someone, a new bestfriend.

Erin's feet swimming under the pond, her face in a contorted shape, she was holding a piece of fabric and on the other hand was a blunt tapestry needle.

Harvey watched as she pocketed her wand and tied her hair up putting a hat on. She hoped they had fun? well alright so maybe he did have fun, wait! she had missed them together too? then why wait so long to hang out again?! why did they not hang out sooner? anyways that was all in the past.. He sat down on the blanket that she had laid out "Yeah it was fun to have us all together again after so long" he smiled a little, yeah in his opinion it had been too long but then again their group of friends was so large that it was hard to keep up with everyone, right? .. right.

''Yeah it is.''He smiled.''Oh yeah,That's cool.''His Mum played the Piano,And sung.He didn't like being around for that.

"That would be amazing." Alex replied thinking about what an experience that would be. Especialy going deep down and up close with the with. "We should teach them English first so we can then understandt hem a bit better when we chat." she joked.

The lion smiled at Jory. "It's fine. My mother is a Muggleborn witch whereas my father is a Half-Blood."

Humming he headed out towards the grounds again, he was just tired of the mundane schoolwork day after day. Really was looking forward to the holidays coming up. Heading back towards the duck pond, Isaac buried his hands in the pockets of his warm jacket. It was chilly out but not too bad, really considering it was December. His mouth covered with hem of his jacket his eyes peeking out as he stood on the edge of the pond.

Looking over he saw a girl not too far from him actually sewing something... Weren't her fingers numb??? he wondered in surprise. "Aren't ye cold?" he asked heading her way, after a moments hesitation. After all, she was a girl...and someone he definitely didn't know. He'd given up on trying to find Amelia, she always seemed to disappear, and though it hurt not to have her around so much, he was starting to get used to that fact, which really depressed him even more, but he wasn't going to let others see that!

*"No no no!" Cardigan said quickly, in hopes that she would sit back down. That wasn't it. She wanted to tell Ella. She probably should tell Ella! But the thing is, she wasn't exactly sure about it yet; Logan needed to be here too. Now wasn't the best time to tell her, if she was even going to go through with the idea. "The thing is, Ella, now is not the best time to tell you. Logan needs to hear it too. The later I tell you, the better. Besides, I'm not even sure if I'm going to 'go through with it'," She explained, twisting and untwisting her finger with a strand of hair.

*Cardigan was still right about losing Logan as a friend. At least she thought she was... He hadn't been keeping in touch with her AT ALL. Something was a little fishy about it... I mean, it's been more than a month into Hogwarts! Hopefully nothing was wrong.. Maybe Ella would now about it!!! "Hey Ella, has Logan been keeping in touch with ya lately? I'm just wondering 'cause, for some reason, I haven't heard from him..." The snake asked, furrowing her brow in thought. She was waiting to see if he would send anything first. Maybe, after their conversation was over, she should go do just that...

The second year raised her eyebrows when Cardigan said no several times. So what, she wanted her to stay then? Ella sighed and sat down, feeling more confused than ever...that was until Cardigan spoke next. The later the better? Go through with it? What it?! "Cardigan, you're not making any sense. I don't understand what you're talking about." She said with a frown.

When Cardigan asked about Logan owling Ella, the second year wasn't sure what to say. On the one hand, Ella didn't want to lie to Cardigan...but on the other hand, if Logan wasn't owling her too than she might be upset. In the end, she decided honesty was the best way to go. "I've received a couple of owls from him since...then." Then being the unfortunate incident on the platform. "His aunt has him locked up in his room with Peeta...so he's not exactly having the best time."

"The point is, I'm not gonna tell you yet, what I'm all uneasy about. I'm still considering even telling you two. I might not even... Look, it's kinda hard to explain. If I feel like, what I might tell you , still needs to happen, I WILL tell you," Cardigan explained, feeling rather, tired. Hopefully Ella wouldn't be asking too much more. It really confused the Slytherin very very much. She wasn't the one to be, erm, pressured. It just wasn't her style.

Sigh. Ella probably didn't even know how lucky she was. At least she got a couple owls! Cardigan? She, so far, didn't get any from Logan at all, much less Owls from anyone!! Calm down, Cardigan, calm down. "Oh," She said, in reply to what she'd said. That pretty much summed it up. It must be pretty pressuring to be locked up in your room, but what did the second year know? Her parents couldn't care less about what she did! That is, if it didn't involve damaging anything of theirs or themselves...

Ella just sat there staring at Cardigan. She was still majorly confused but it seemed as though Cardigan wasn't willing to elaborate on anything so the second year just shrugged. "Okay." She said, looking out at the pond. She tried not to over think whatever it was Cardigan wasn't telling her but it still gave her an uneasy feeling.

The 'oh' made Ella frown. She hadn't meant to make Cardigan upset. She just didn't want any more lies. And so she had told her friend...they were still friends, right?...maybe? And yet she had clearly upset the girl. "Look, I'm sure he'd like to hear from you. He's probably just nervous...you know, after what happened." The little blonde really wished everything didn't come back to that but it always seemed to. "You should owl him." Ella couldn't believe she was saying this, knowing how Cardigan felt about the boy, but she knew that Logan and Cardigan had been friends before she ever came into the picture so..."He would want to hear from his best friend." She finished, looking down at her hands.

Erin heard a clunking noise of a foot heading towards her direction and then she heard someone calling after her.

Cold?

Erin did not even felt the coldness of the month. She was very consumed into removing those names under the cupids' figures. It spelled ERIN and BEEZUS. Erin will removed it from left to right until she reaches B. Scissors ready on the side. She didn't want to destroy the design of her embroidery therefore, she gives as much care in removing the letters. Now, it only spelled ERIN and BEEZU. Ah, thank God, it felt so bad but so good.

As Erin looked up towards the talking man, "You looked like, you're really cold," judging from the guy's jacket covering almost half of his face.Then, Erin shot a look towards his mittens. "Will you let me borrow those, then?"

As he got closer, he saw a little more of what she was doing. She must have made a mistake...or something, she was actually taking the thread out? "Make a mistake or somethin'?" he asked curiously, "It's very pretty." Looking around he wondered if she minded if he joined her "Mind if I join ye?" he asked before taking a seat. Ok, maybe he should have waited for her to say yes, but oh well, too late now.

Smirking a little he glanced her way again "Ye can use 'em but can ye still work if ye got mittens on?" he asked teasingly. He couldn't help it, the thought of her trying to pull out that thin thread with mittens on cracked him up! "I'm always cold here. Not used te the weather yet." It'd been only two terms he'd spent the winter here at the school, but yet he still just couldn't get used to the cold!

She wasn't making a mistake. No, she wasn't. Why couldn't anyone understand her? She didn't made a mistake. She was fixing something that she didn't want any longer. "Yeah, I guess so," said Erin roughly. "I made a mistake." Erin made a mistake for trusting her, for trusting that name on the portrait.

Join Erin? It's a free country yes. Erin couldn't say no even if she really wanted no company today. With him next to her, she felt colder, why was that. She wasn't feeling anything before he came but now, she felt more conscious? "Did you ever feel betrayed by someone you love?" Lovers are supposed to be loyal to each other, bestfriends should be too, right? And now, Erin was working onto the letter, U, next to S from the right.

"Yeah, you're right," with those mittens on, she couldn't focus on what she was doing. But she wasn't focus anymore because of outside forces just like him. "Erin, by the way."

His eyebrow lifted as she answered with a definite roughness to her voice. Okay then, something was eating at her that was for sure! Instead of commenting though, he just let it be. If she wanted to say what was bothering her, then she would, he wasn't about to question her reasoning for being rough, nor for undoing the stitches in the letters of...Beezus? Hmmm, he didn't recognize the name, but then again, it wasn't necessarily someone he knew anyway.

"Someone I love? No...I don' think so anyway." Amelia...she'd not betrayed him, he didn't think anyway, she'd just...disappeared. He'd only been in love with one person, and he still was. "Not unless ye count yer parents moving to Australia after living in Egypt fer the last five years anyway." he replied a hint of irritation in his voice. Yep, that counted in his book anyway. It was down right betrayal! Not asking his opinion if he wanted to move to Australia!

His corner of his mouth twisted up in a grin as she said it wouldn't work well wearing the mittens. Erin? Huh? OH! "Isaac."

Erin saw the guy looked at her stitches. Yes, he did. He might not show it, but he did peek. Nosy! But then, as Erin waited for the bombarding questions, nothing came. He is not as nosy after all. Merlin!

And now, his time for ranting about betrayal. "That was bad," Erin stopped on what she was doing and gave her full attention towards the guy who introduced himself as Isaac. "When did you move? Just last term?" Erin is raised both her eyebrows waiting for an answer. Yes, Erin is impatient. Family betrayal, Erin knew a lot of things about that. Erin was lied to by her known parents and she was given away by her real ones.

Shaking his head at her question, "Nope by the time I got back from school last term, they had it all decided that this past summer would be their last in Egypt, so shortly after I left te come back here, they were picking up and moving everything." That just made him mad...he didn't know if he could bring himself to move down there as well, visit maybe, but move? "Now thet I'm of age, I guess I don' haf te move there, but it still isn't right fer them te move, without giving me a choice."

Glancing back her way again, he wondered what had brought about the question in the first place "Did ye haf a betrayal?" he asked softly.

That was so much to tell and so much going on. "That's the problem with our parents, they treat us like we're puppets." Whatever they say, children should follow. Whatever they wanted, children should try really hard and most of the time, they give their children no choice. Erin could really relate to Isaac, well, in a different situation with a much deeper sense. "Won't you miss them?" If that happens to Erin, which would eventually happen to her sooner or later with the situation she's in right now, she's not really sure if she can handle it well.

And now, the betrayal thingy. Why would he even brought that up again? Erin thought, he dropped it already but he didn't. "Just silly stuffs." Bestfriend issues Major STUFF!

"No. Its call sharing." he smirked back. Hanging on a wall in Surrey? Huh? Did she seriously thinking to hang some of the pictures there? Yes, please. "If I do come across with it, the first thing I do is put it into my bag." Nope he won't let anyone use it against his roommate before him. He won't allow that.

Different levels of cute? "Hmm..Let's see." he thought for a while. "Not everything is cute in my head." He rarely used that word. "I think we use cool instead of cute. You know like the castle. The baby dragon." If that makes sense. "I think I only said the cute word to you." he said not realizing that there's a slight blush creep into his cheek.

So she knew. Right. Particular reason. yes, of course there's. Messer wants to tell Alec about Anya's answer. You know to see his face and his reaction but he won't tell the Gryffindor that now won't he? "Nothing. No particular reason. Just curious that's all." he shrugged.

"Umm..No." Messer shook his head. "I feel fine actually." Yeah, maybe the whole cooties things were lie.

Jory laughed at the thought of Alex and him teaching the fishes English. "Or better yet? They teach us fishy chatter,'' he said. "But learning a foreign language can be difficult,'' the boy added, winking.

"Ah,cool,'' Jory replied. "So you were expecting to be a witch. I read that persons who turn out to be witches or wizards show signs of magical abilities. Can I ask what signs you got?''

"They treat us like...we're still children." he added shaking his head, his elbows now on his knees as he sat there next to her. "It's pathetic, how can we grow and learn unless they give us a chance." Shrugging at her question "S'pose I will a bit, but I've learned te cope, being away from them during school. 'Least I can apparate...if I pass me test...te visit them. The question is though, where would I live?" He didn't want to live in Egypt alone...plus Amelia was up here!

Glancing her way again, he shrugged again, if she didn't want to talk about it he wasn't about to ask. Didn't bother him none, he was just a listening ear anyway.

Ahh, the duck pond...

...and no, Sierra wasn't here for the blasted, idiotic ducks. She was here to pluck the flowers growing near the pond. She'd passed by this place a time or two, and from memory alone, she remembered there being flowers. So she snuck out there, not really wanting to be seen plucking the flowers, and stood behind a tree while she waited for the right moment.

...and then that moment finally came. Sierra stepped out from behind the tree and began plucking the flowers that grew there. There were so many flowers that the ducks would never miss a good twenty or thirty. Sierra plucked flowers of all sizes and colors until finally she had enough.

Dropping the flowers into a tiny bag, she casually walked away from the area. All done here. Nothing to see.

Children? Erin is still a child. But not this big guy Isaac.

"I am," chuckled Erin in a tiny cheerful voice. "So, you're a...I mean, what year are you in? You said you're in the right age already?" 17 was it? For wizards? Since Erin was a Muggle, her Muggle parents would always treat her as a little kid until she finishes Hogwarts. Just that, she was not so Muggle anymore produced by Muggle parents.

"You can apparate?" Ooooh! Erin looks forward to apparating on her right age."How does it feel?" She would hear some students say it's kind of weird and dizzy.

Where would he live? "You live where you wanted to." Like if someone makes you happy in here, then stay here. If your happiness is still with your family, then be with them. "But you should still visit them from time to time. I know they missed you too."

"Maybe their that's what their language is called!" Alex smiled at Jory. "Yhe it can be hard though." she added.

"Yes I was since my two brothers before me and my parents." the lion looked towards the ducks for a moment as she tried to recall what happened when her first sign of magical abillities apeared. "Well it was when my brother Josh wouldn't let me on his bunkbed and it had annoyed me but next thing I knew the barrier had dissapeared and he fell from the top bunk." Alex laughed. "How about yourself?"

Smiling softly at her words, "I'm a sixth year, but turned 17 in October." he replied to her question. Still hard to believe he was of age! How could that be, it seemed like he still felt like he was just a little kid just learning how to use magic! Shaking his head at her next question, he made a face, "Well, I've not tried te apparate alone yet, I hope the classes start fer it soon. But I've apparated with me mum hundreds of times." No lie there, they travelled enough, to need to be able to apparate when needed!

"How does it feel?" Hmm, he'd been doing it since he was little, so it never really bothered him. "Well it's like being forced into a tiny little package and ye can't get out until ye reappear." Did that make sense? Or did he just scare the daylights out of the girl? "I guess it don' bother me none, since I've been doing it with me mum since I was a little kid."

"Thet's complicated...I want te go back te Egypt, where I've lived fer the last 6 years, but...I've got this girl..." Yeah, Amelia. If he left her to go to Egypt, he'd never forgive himself. He wanted them to be together, and it was hard to do if they were a continent apart! "I definitely will visit them though." he replied nodding.

Jory and Alex had been talking so much, he had forgotten about the ducks until one quacked quacked loudly. The Puff looked around at the duck. "Sorry, Ducky,'' he said cheerfully, throwing a huge piece of bread to the duck. "Hope that makes up for forgetting you.''

The Badger laughed aloud when Alex recounted what happened to her brother. "That would have been a sight to see!'' he exclaimed trying to picture the scene. "My dad got it first. Every morning he wakes me up to go jogging with him. Well, that morning for some reason I was lazy. He kept poking me to get up but I won't. And the next thing I heard was an almighty crash. After I jumped out of bed I spotted dad on the ground along with my bedside table,'' Jory explained. "See, he liked to jog in place while he waited for me to get up, but while he was doing that his shoelaces got all tied up into a very perfect bow. You could imagine how perplexed we were. And thank fully he wasn't hurt.'' Jory still found the memory quite funny.

Trin walked to the edge of the duck pond and sat down with a thump.

She smiled at the ducks swimming around the pond and wished she'd thought to bring bread or cookies or something. 'Oh well,' she thought, 'Guess that means I'll just have to comeback soon.'

Reaching into the bag at her side, Trin pulled out a very worn looking paperback book, crossed her legs in a lotus-like style and began to read, her eyes darting quickly across the familiar words on the page.

Talk about claustrophobia. Erin wished she'd experienced that too. Apparating with her parents, except that they were Muggles and there was no way they'll be able to do that. "Cool!" chuckled Erin. Isaac gave Erin the goal to finally aim for her sixth year, so that she would be able to pass the test for apparition. "Yeah, it made perfect sense," answered Erin looking at her embroidery. She almost forgot, she was doing something and she needed to proceed to removing the letter Z from BEEZ.

With a pair of scissors on her right hand and a needle on the left one, she started to do what she was supposed to be doing.

...until she heard about his girl, Isaac girl. "Really?" Erin was surprised. "So, who is she?" Erin might know about her. Erin was never an insider but she does know quite a few of people in Hogwarts.

Desiree wandered down to the duck pond, intent on taking advantage of the fact there were no classes today. She wasn't sure why she came here though, she didn't have some crazy love for ducks, but it was peaceful. She hadn't really gotten a chance to just.. take in Hogwarts since she had got back, and after the news she just found out, some time with herself was exactly what she needed.

She found a tree near the water and leaned against it, eventually sliding down till she was sitting on a rock. Looking around she saw another girl sitting by herself but she was reading, and Des wasn't in the mood to talk. She recognized Erin, and thought about waving, but she was talking to an older guy. So she just sat and watched the ducks swimming through the water, her mind wandering to other things..

like Zhenya and Gary. trying to avoid thinking of Raven Desiree was impressed, Gary was a fifth year, and she had to admit, attractive too. And he was sweet! From what she could tell anyway. Not that she was surprised since Zhenya was perfect; they were quite a cute couple. Des was snapped out her thoughts as she noticed a baby duck only a foot away, staring right at her. She started doodling a drawing of the little duck in the mud beside her. It didn't move, it was like it was posing for her.

The duck nibbled away at the piece of bed as Jory apologized to it. "Now this is when we really need to be able to communicate with animals." Alex joked.

The fourth year grinned. "It was my oldest brother Samuel was first to apear at the door after hearing the thud." she laughed as Jory told her what his first sign of magical abilities was. "Yip thank fully he wasn't."

Well he hadn't scared the daylights out of her. As far as he could tell anyway. He knew if he'd not apparated with his mum before, his skin would be crawling after someone told him that! "Good." he replied with a grin. She'd read his mind...he hadn't said anything aloud, he didn't think...but he'd been worried he might scare her or sound like he'd drank a babbling potion! Leaning back on his mittened hands, he sat there silently as she worked more on the letters she was undoing.

Looking out over the frozen pond, he thought more about his parents moving. He just didn't agree, it wasn't right.

Those thoughts almost made him miss her next words! "Uh, yep." he replied nodding looking back at Erin. "Amelia Pendragon. She's in the same year and house as me, Slytherin." he answered promptly. "And started here last term as well."

Still hardly focusing on removing the Z letter form BEEZ, she was taken aback from Isaac's words, not by the name of the girl but him being a transfer, "Oh. You are? I mean a transferee?" said Erin. "So, you mean to say you're also one of those Snakes who's got the buddy thingy?" Erin didn't know much about that, clearly, she wasn't a Slytherin but she was very sure, her friend Raven had talk about it in one of their many conversations. She missed her so much, she'd been gone for like forever.

Amelia Pendragon. Erin murmured the name two or three times and finally, "...Amelia...Pendragon." Pendragon. She didn't know her. She was sure. OH. Maybe because Erin was discharged from Hogwarts halfway the term last year. Nod. Nod. "Well, I wish you two happiness, then. If I get to see her in the corridors, I'll make it a point to say hi to her."

"A transferee?" he asked surprised, shaking his head "Well...no, but I did start last term. I've been homeschooled up until last year, so I didn't actually switch schools or anything, but I am new." he replied. Did that make sense? Or...maybe that did make him a transferee, someone who transfered from homeschool to hogwarts. Wait...Buddy thingy? What was that? "I uhh, don' think so. What's thet?"

"Yep, she's got lo...erm short, really short hair, not te tall, dresses very trendy." he answered, so she'd at least know what Amelia looked like. Still weird for him to think of her in short hair! It'd been how many months now? He wasn't sure he'd ever be used to that one, it just seemed different, and felt weird. At least he hadn't missed seeing her because of that. He'd at least recognized her every time he'd spotted her. That would be really bad if he didn't recognize his own girlfriend! Ok, he'd almost missed her in Diagon Alley the first time he'd seen her...

Oh. He didn't know about the sidekick thing. It might be for the first year students only. He was a fifth year after all when he came here. "Well, my friend told me something about having someone who'll guide you through Hogwarts because you're new. That only applies for Slytherins like you. In, Ravenclaw, we don't have that kind of thing."

"Definitely keeping that in mind." Erin answered as Isaac described her the girl's appearance. He must be really in love with her. With those eyes glistening while he was talking about her, that was a fairytale. Now, that was what she was talking about to Bee earlier at the house table. Fairytales do exist.

Suddenly, she felt her hands getting really cold. She rubbed them together. "I'm getting really cold now. So," Erin looked at Isaac's covered hands with mittens but hesitated to ask him if she could borrow. He needed them too. "...I think I should go now. It's really nice meeting you Isaac."

Gary walked to the duck pond. Suddenly he didn't know why he was here. He seemed like a confused guy. It was not as usual he walked alone. Usually, the blonde guy spent his time with his girlfriend. But now, he walked alone since... Huh.Okay, he didn't have any argument with her, but Gary didn't meet her since she was still sad with her friend.

Last christmas, he spent his time with her at her family house and her father talked about Raven to her. She was so miserable to hear that. The blonde guy didn't know how to cheer her up and make herself calm. How could you be calm since you know that your very best friend will passed away soon, huh? Since that, Zhenya was easily to cry, sometimes she also got mad easily. What's wrong with her? Gary was confused.

Ah, girls.

Sometimes she was confusing but he still loved her. Alot.

The blonde guy spotted someone who was familiar. Oh, wasn't she Desiree? One of her best friend too? He dragged himself toward her. She was sitting alone there, maybe she knew about his girlfriend who seemed like roller-coaster-mood right now. "Hey." he greeted her. "Mind if I sit here?"

As she explained about her friend having someone guide them around Hogwarts, because they were new, he wondered why he hadn't heard of that last year. Maybe he had, and just hadn't thought anything of it. Hmm, maybe he should give a hand to new people next year! He'd never thought of that! Ouch...next year would be his NEWTs, well maybe he'd do it anyway. "Not a bad idea, might look inte helping people next term, like new students or firsties." he said aloud to her.

"Ok." he replied smiling at her. Amelia might wonder who the girl was and how she knew her name, but hey, maybe she'd realize he was thinking about her, if someone just walked up to her randomly, when they tell her he'd mentioned Amelia!

Watching as she rubbed her hands together he wondered if he should offer her the mittens again. But when she said she was going to go in, he nodded "It's getting colder out." he commented looking up at the sky. "It was nice meeting ye as well Erin." he replied smiling again at her.

Desiree had almost finished her drawing, if you could call it that, and the duck was still standing in the exact same place. She was.. almost..do-

Oh no!

The little duck ran off suddenly, as someone came up beside her. She turned to whoever had scared her new friend away with the maddest look she could manage, which really didn't look very mad at all, "Now look what you've d-" she stopped when she realized who was standing there, "Oh Gary, hey. Sorry about that there was a baby duck and then, you know never mind" she gave a nervous laugh, she would almost yell at her best friend's boyfriend on accident. "Of course not, be my guest." she smiled and patted the rock beside her.

She looked around behind him, Zhenya wasn't there? That was kind of strange, hopefully everything was ok. She turned back to Gary, "So what brings you out here?" maybe he was taking pictures of the ducks. He could have taken one of the baby, you know if he hadn't just scared it away.

He just gave a small chuckle when Desiree almost snapped him. "Sorry." said him. Gary decided to take a seat beside her. Noticing that she was drawing something, the blonde wondered. "Oh, you tried to draw? Oh, sorry if I disturbed you." Then he took bread from his pocket and took a little piece of it and tossed it into the the pond. It's so funny to watch them.

What made him could be there? Nah, actually he was a bit confused too. The blonde guy just need lonely time to refresh his mind. Especially from things that happened to him and his girlfriend at christmas. Since the time, he rarely to meet her around. Gary was worried if she was still miserable about Raven. Last christmas Alex told her about Raven's condition and she was.. depressed. "I just want to spend my time alone here. Watching the ducks and feed them by the bread." said him. "How about you?"

Since she was Zhenya's best friend, maybe he could know about her from Desiree. "Speaking of.. How was Zhenya?"

Jory grinned. "Yup,'' he said. "We need to communicate with aliens too, if they are.'' Aliens fascinated the young boy very much whether they existed or not. He would watch lots of alien movies and read alien themed books.

"What did your parents think of what happened?'' Jory asked. "And your brother?'' Did her brother have a sense of humor or did he get angry with Alex?

Justin ran out to the Duck pond looking for Harvey to workout with or... What ever Harv wanted to. Justin hadn't been the greatest friend to him this term and wanted to make some of it up to him...

Harvey walked out to the Duck Pond after he got an owl from Justin asking him to meet him there, he wondered what was up. He wasn't going to leave Ariana was he? He would not be happy if Justin did that, Ariana was his friend and he would not be happy.

Finally Just saw Harvs and ran over to him. " Oi, Mate, Where ya been? I've been looking for ya since we had that fun with Min... " he said with a smile as he offered his best friend a handshake....

Harvey watched as Justin ran over to him "Oh I have been around, I didnt think that I was that hard to find. " he smiled shaking Justin's hand. He wa right it had been a while since they had last hung out. "How are you and Mins?" he asked him. That was not a good way to end a snowball fight.

Justin answered, " Well, Ari and I have definately gotten closer... " he smiled as he blushed thinking about his girlfriend. " Minnie's come down with the flu, but I've been tending to her... When she let's me. Other than that I've just been about the grounds and stuff... You know me and my workouts... I'll never give them up..." he joked. " So, when are you gonna start shaping up better.... " Justin said as he poked his friend in the side as he chuckled....

Harvey smiled "Well that's good, glad to hear that. " he smiled some more seeing his best friend blush. So boys DID blush and he thought it was just him. He nodded "Yes I heard, I hope she gets better but I am sure she will with you there to get her better." he was glad that Mins had someone to look out for her, he chuckled and nodded when Justin talked about his workouts. Yup Justin always did a lot of those whereas Harvey sometimes just didn't feel like it. Uh oh here it was the question was upon him now, he smiled as he was poked by Justin "erm I don't know? I guess I had better start that again, I have let it slip as of late." he smiles knowing he was at fault, even without Justin around he should have kept the workouts going.

Justin chuckled, " Well you know Minerva... She is stubborn and swears even if she's on her death bed that she'll be fine and brushes me off half the time, But I've got a couple of the first years looking after her when she's in her dorm." he smiled.... " For some reason the little ones keep giggling around me like I'm some sort of celebrity..... Poor things are always falling over every word I say..." he laughed " Maybe if you join me a couple times a week the girls would start to notice That your a matching set.... Sweet and sweet looking..."

Harvey nodded as he talked about Minerva. Yeah he knew what Minerva was like, she had always been stubborn with him too it was good to see that she hadnt changed. "Glad to hear that she is good. Yeah glad you have, it's good to keep an eye on her even though she may say she is fine cause clearly she isnt. " he said and checked listening to the next part "Well I guess they must see you that way, as some kind of celebrity. Or it could just be your personality that has them giggling and falling that way." he smiled yup that was true he had the magical personality that would have many under his spell. He then rubbed the back of his neck in nervousness "Yeah I guess it would be good to be a matching set like you" he chuckled knowing that Justin was like that, and maybe that was Justin's plan to make Harvey more like him? He wondered .

Justin smiled, " No, Mate... I want to help you make a matching Harvey set... Not another me set..." he said as he chuckled alittle..." Imagine this world with another set of me in it.... Scary! " he joked. Then he put Harvey in a head lock and gave his best friend a noogie... " Come on, Watson... let's see what you've got... " he teased as he held him.

Harvey chuckled with Justin "Well you ain't bad yourself so it wouldn't be so bad to be like you and its not scary.. But I guess Harvey ain't so bad either, though I think the girls like me like this cause they keep saying stuff like that. " he chuckled as he remembered the compliments he had been given by some of the girls he knew. Just then before he knew it he was put into a headlock by Justin.. "Ohhh man Justin! Not this again!" he chuckled as Justin teased him giving him a noogie. Harvey tried to get out of the headlock several times but being successful at it. "Ok you can let me go now we know I ain't gonna be able to get out of this one." he chuckled as he came up with a plan of how to get out of this situation.

" Awww. Come on, Mate.... You can do it... Just get mad at me... You'd be surprised how strong ya can get just from bein angry... Go on try again..." Justin said as he loosened his grip without Harvey realising. He hoped that his friend would do as he said.... And maybe wrestle him to the ground and assert himself more......

"You know I can't get mad at you, you are my best friend. How can I get mad at you? But I guess I can try again. " he said to Justin as he tried again to get outta that grip of his.. He tried pushing and shoving Justin around before he tried piling himself away from Justin, after a while of pushing Jutin one fdirection and pulling himself in the other he managed to pull himself free falling onto the ground on his behind. He looked up at Justin in a little surprise "Well I finally did it got myself free of your vice like grip. " he chuckled cause that's what it had felt like. Trying to get your head out from between a fence or railing.

" Told ya , Mate.... I knew you could do it... Ya always give up on yourself too soon, Harvs..... Now come on let's see what you've got again... come on... come at me and pin me.... but I'm warning you... I will be trying my best to beat ya,Mate...." Justin saide as he held out his hand and waved Harvey to him using hid index finger.

Harvey smiled as Justin said that he knew Harvey had it in him to get out of such a situation. "Yeah I guess I did. Well I guess I have always been hard on myself but that's just me I guess. Pin you!? I ain't some wrestler you know! Well I know you will beat me but let me try anyway" he then got ready to try and pin him, he tried to push him to the ground as Justin held his ground.m

" Lift up on my legs, Harv... Get under me and push at he same time.... Come on!!!! " Justin coached him... He was gonna give Harvey a workout he wasn't gonna soon forget... All without him even realising.

"Why couldn't we all know one language then also have our own like different countries do and animals?" Alex questioned everything in this world and why it ended up the way it did.

"Everyone was a bit confused at first and then they sorted Josh out who just lay on the floor also confused." she laughed. "Being young I got a bit upset but Sam calmed me down and explained it along with my parents." the lion added getting a bit embaressed about revealing that she got upset...

Harvey listened to what Justin was telling him, to get under his legs? Right that was easy enough, and then to push him? That could be done too but at the same time that was something he didn't know about. So he did just that, got under his leg and tried to push him over at the same time. He wasnt successful the three times that he tried to pin him, but he was sure he felt Justin become a little unbalanced the third time. He moved away a bit out of breath a little "Y..you were moved a l..little that last time, r...right? " he asked wanting to make sure if he was or was it just his imagination.

Justin Stood firm the first couple times Harvey tried to put him down , but the third time he nearly took him down... " Good Godric, Yeah, Mate... Ya almost toppled me... Well done... Now .... Do it again , only this time knock me on my rear end! "

Harvey smiled as Justin told him that he nearly took him down, well that was an accomplishment in its self cause he had never even managed that before. Justin wanted Harvey to topple him? That was going to be tough too, but he could give it a try. Harvey used the same technique as last time, getting under him and trying to life him up onto his behind. He tried again and again but he couldnt seem to do it, but he didn't want to give up so easily but he knew that it was almost impossible to do. But he tried a few more times with nothing happening still.

" Harvey, You need to push like i'm standing on your hand... Bring it up from your guts, Mate... come on... Put me down..." Justin ordered him again as he tried to motivate him.

Harvey listened to Justin as he instructed him in how he could bring Justin down. So he did just that, he pushed harder as if Justin was hurting his hand and wanted him to get off. But that was not proving to be enough, so it was time to try bringing it up from his guts? How was he supposed to do that? Well he could try. So he tried to bring up some extra strength from his guts, tried a few times and nothing as always but like the 7 or 8 time he managed to push Justin away even if he didn't bring him down the way he wanted to be brought down, but that was good right cause that meant that his strength was increasing or Justin was going easy on him and that was not good.

" Well done, Harvs... 'Bout time though , Mate." he said as he saw his friend out of breath. " Ya look tired , Mate... you alright? " he teased.

Harvey pumped his fist into the air as Justin acknowledged his accomplishment, and teased him a little "Yeah I know I guess my strength must be increasing which is good. Tired? me? Dont know what you on about! I never get tired" he said still trying to catch his breath after that. Why he had said that he never got tired he didn't know, was he trying to be strong in front of Justin or something? He didnt know.

" Yeah, I see that you're a regular Ironman alright..." Justin laughed. Clearly Harvey was out of breath and shakey at best on his feet right now. But Justin had a plan and that was to motivate his best bud to start working out on a regular schedule... " Want to go for a run with me?"

Harvey chuckled and nodded "Yup that's me, my nickname the Iron Man, but I dont tell many people that don't want people getting the wrong impression" he joked, it felt good to joke around with Justin even if Harvey was a little tired. Wait! Whats this? He wants him to go for a run? Oh boy.. He thought about it before finally conceding, didn't want Justin to call him a wimp or something else that he would call him if he didnt do this. "Ok sure let's do this Iron Man is always ready for a run" with his trusty sidekick he added in his head for obvious reason.

" Come on , you marshmellow.... Let's see if you can keep up.... " Justin chuckled as he jeered his best friend. " I'll whip you into shape in no time..." he called over his shoulder as he began a to run at a nice slow pace at first.... There was no rush to the workout... Today was about seeing how much he could do.

Jory nodded in agreement. "Yup, then we'd be able to travel all over the world without worrying about understanding their language. Have you ever been to a country where the people speak a different language?''

The Puff nodded understandably. "I don't blame you for getting upset. I was after what had happened with my dad, even though we had no idea how his sneakers laces got all tied up back then,'' he said. "Of course, now we all have a good laugh at it,'' he added.

"hello" nicki said looking up from her book " nice to meet you Sam, I am Nicki Second year to." she said finishing. Then stood up. She released Sam had no shoes on "why aren't you wearing shoes." she said.

"Nice to meet you too Nicki. ." Sam said.
"well I was about to let them bite my toes. . .that's kinda fun . .you should've try it"
He said pointing ducks. . .

Nigel was just coming down to the duck pond to look at the ducks, read a book, and perhaps if he wanted to do some homework.

But he gets distracted easily.

He took out some cookie crums out of his bag and threw them into the pond. He hoped the ducks liked cookies.He started to walk around the pond and see what was here.

When,UH-Oh he tripped and fell flat on his face. He got up and spotted a hufflepuff staring at him. It looked like it was another first year like him. He walks over to her, waves and says "Hi, I'm Nigel" . hoping he did not get too dirty.

Kaitlyn had been stood near the duck pond, whispering things to the ducks. Yes, she was very normal! Then she looked a little further round the duck pond and saw a boy, who looked to be in his first year like her, fall over.

She rushed towards him, but he got up and brushed himself of and started walking towards her. He introduced himself as Nigel, cool name. "Hi, I'm Kaitlyn," she said with a smile, "you can call me Kat if you'd like."

She would have asked if he was alright, but he seemed to be perfectly fine.

Nigel was glad he was not that dirty and he met someone new today. He thought he saw her earlier talking to the ducks but he was not sure because he was busy throwing the cookie crumbs.

"Ok Kat, sorry you had to see me fall, it was embarrassing. I was just looking around at this cool duck pond and must have tripped on something."

He guessed he could have tipped or forgot to tie one of his shoes. He looks down and checked. nope shoes are tied.

"It's fine, are you sure you're okay?" She asked anxiously. She thought she wasn't going to ask him, but her nice nature took over.

"So, Nigel..what house are you in? And I'm guessing you're a first year?" She said, smiling at him. Woo, new friend!

"Oh, i am fine Kat, thanks for asking."

Nigel was actually pretty good after he tripped. Nothing seemed wrong and his bag did not break, which was a plus.

"Yeah you are right, I'm a first year Ravenclaw. Are you a first year too?"

Nigel did not know to many first years. He met West at the Quidditch game and knew about Blue from him and he knew some older hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws, but that was about it.

"Do you want to talk to the ducks after and maybe feed them some cookies i have in my bag?" They were at the duck pond after all.

"No problem, I'm glad you're alright," said Kat with a smile.

"Yes, I am!" she said and grinned at Nigel, then added, "I'm in Hufflepuff! How are you liking Hogwarts?" She then asked curiously, she was likely him already, he was nice.

It seemed that Kat might just have made a new friend! That made three friends in total, all in first year. Two Ravenclaws and one Slytherin. Blue, Nigel and Theodore.

"Ooh, yes. That sounds fun! Do ducks eat cookies?" Kat asked, laughing lightly at Nigel.

Nigel was wondering what house she was in, but he forgot to ask about it before. It was cool that she was in Hufflepuff. Come to think of it, Nigel knew more Hufflepuffs than any other house. But whatever, He kept his smile on and said

"Awesome, and i'm liking Hogwarts so far, the classes are fun even potions though Professor Lafay scares me a little. How do you like Hogwarts so far Kat?"

It was true but he knew he would get over this fear after the second class was over. But now he could focus on Kat and the ducks.

" And I don't know if the ducks like cookies, but it would be cool to see if they eat them or not."

Desiree laughed lightly, "Oh no, it wasn't anything really.." she was a terrible drawer, even if she had had real paper. She noticed him taking out some bread, that was smart why hadn't she thought of that? Well she hadn't really known where she was going.. "Do you mind if I take some?" she asked before taking a little piece and throwing it in. That same duck she had been drawing swam over and scooped it up, she smiled.

She looked back to Gary, he seemed confused as to exactly why he was here too. He just wanted to spend time alone.. hmm sounded like her, "That's pretty much why I came." she shrugged, "I just needed to clear my head." The whole thing with Raven.. she just couldn't even wrap her mind around it. Zhenya? He didn't know? Desiree was sure he saw her more than she did nowadays. Or when she wasn't there she just assumed she was with him, maybe she had been by herself..

Des frowned, unsure what to say, "Well I think she's ok, but she's been acting a little different lately.. you know with.." her voice cracked, she didn't want to say her name. "..Anyways I think it's gotten to her." And me, she wanted to add, but didn't. He was obviously worried about Zhenya. "She probably just needs a little space. I haven't seen her that much lately either" She was trying to be helpful, and wished she could tell Gary more, but that's all she really knew. Basically Zhenya was probably feeling the exact same way Desiree was right now.. She let out a small sigh.

"That's cool," Kat replied then admitted, "Professor Lafay scares me a bit too!" Only a bit though, Kat was tough. Yes she was. "Hmm, it's good, I've been making some new friends, good friends. I really like it here!"

Yeah, Kat was enjoying Hogwarts. She didn't know why it had taken her so long to realise it.

"Okay then, let's get a little bit closer to the ducks," Kat half-whispered to Nigel.

Nigel was glad that he was not the only person afraid of Professor Lafay. Nigel agreed and nodded with everything she said because it was true. Making friends was always fun and Hogwarts is awesome.

Now she was whispering to him, maybe we should do this quietly to not alert the ducks. "Okay, here are some crumbs." Nigel half whispering back to her pulling some crumbs out of his bag and handing them to her.

They walked quietly to the pond and started talking to the ducks. "Here are some crumbs duckies" Nigel said as he tossed his share of crumbs to the ducks in the pond.

Harvey did a mock surprised face at being called a marshmallow, he listened as Justin called over to him over his shoulder. Harvey shook his head as he saw that Justin had already started running, so Harvey ran after Justin and managed to catch up to him "I am n..no marsh..marshmallow." he said to Justin as he kept pace with him. Well he seemed to be doing well keeping up with Justin but he figured that Justin was going slow on purpose to let him catch up.

" 'Bout time you caught up.... " Justin joked as he kept the same pace as they rounded the first turn of the pond.

"Of course I was going to catch up, it wasn't that hard to catch up." he chuckled a little as they rounded the first turn, yeah look he was doing well keeping up with Justin, so maybe this workout would not be too difficult to do and he was avoiding it cause he thought it would be too hard to do.

" the key to working out is to pace yourself, Mate... I don't go balls out when I'm working out. I do everything as long as I can... That's it. No more. No less. " Justin smiled as he patted his friend on the back.

Harvey listened as he kept pace with Justin "Yeah that is true and in my case I haven't done much so just finding out how long I can go on for. " he chuckled almost losing his balance when Justin patted him on the back. "You did not see that happen! " he chuckled a little, didn't want people knowing that just a pat on the back nearly floored him.

" Don't worry , Harv... If you fall it'll be from exhaustion... Better get used to it.... But it does get easier as ya go.... I'll take it easy on ya." Justin told his best friend as they started to round the second turn.
