The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.

Minerva smiled and hugged her friend "No problem, but you don't have to thank me. You are my friend no matter who you are and you can trust me, as well as Harvs. Like I said we have known for awhile."
Marie came back to the feast. She had gone off by herself to try to figure out the mirror, but the headache she had gotten from trying was too much so she gave up and went looking for her friends. Oh there they are, she thought, skipping over to Taylor and Minnie. "Hey you guys, how's it going?" she said with a smile.

Ellie barely had time to turn when her name was shouted before she was enveloped in a bear hug from her favorite little...second year. Holy Merlin, Messer was a second year now. "Hey, Messer," she said, wrapping her arms around the little guy. For as long as they could before he, too, took an interest in Bunny.
Needless to say, this was the widest she's grinned in at least 24 hours.
"It is," she nodded. A bunny. Her bunny.
Except Messer no longer seemed very interested in Bunny. And, why, exactly? Again, what could possibly be more worth looking at than her adorable new baby bunny, eh?
After giving the Hufflepuff a brief glance to follow where he was looking she saw the elf.....before it left all too quickly. "It's only the baby house elf," she pointed out. And trust her, he was a lot less menacing playing catch than he'd been two years ago.
Ellie' bunny definitely a distraction. Its cute. But he's not gonna said that out loud. Boys never said the word cute aren't they?
Unfortunately the creepy elf must popped out and distract him from the bunny. Ugh! How he hates house elf. "Still its a house elf." Messer pointed it that out. Its creepy and scary its not even human. To his relief the house elf left the Ravenclaw table. "Yes go" Shoo. Shoo. And please don't come near the Hufflepuff table or he might lost his appetite.
The Hufflepufff turned his gaze toward Ellie again. "How are you? Did you have a great summer?" he asked the red hair.

Isidora made that clear with the LOOK she gave him.
"Do all the elves throw stuff?" Should she be watching out for them in the corridors? Oh she should probably be listening to that big man speak. Probably.
How come the girl know what he wanted to say? "Are you a mind reader or something?" Because if she is that would be AWESOME. He never met any mind reader before. Cough. "Yes. What I mean to say that I didn't mean to." Its just happened. Sort of. Yes. Blame the house. "I'll make sure there won't be next time. I'll be more careful." Yes do that Messer before someboy get hurt because of your carelessness.
"I dunno." He shrugged. "Maybe they do. They're weird after all." With those big ears and big eyes. "Hello. I'm Messer."
Oh look The Headmaster finally giving the speech. Maybe he should sit down and listen what in his speech. Probably don't die and some other stuffs. Messer was nodding all the time The Headmaster giving the speech till its over. Wait. There's no don't die part this time? BLINK. BLINK. BLINK.

After being sorted into Ravenclaw, Chandler took some shaky steps towards the Ravenclaw table. He was literally quivering in anticipation and wanted to make some new friends straight away. But he was extremely scared, so he decided to take a seat and keep quiet for now.

Marie grinned. "Oh..just around. Daddy says I'm like a bird because I fly off whenever I feel like it but I always come back." She giggled. She started spinning around and around, causing her robe to flare out. "Isn't this the best feeling?!" She laughed.
Taylor saw a scared first year boy. She felt bad for him, "Hey I'm Taylor McIntyre, Welcome to Ravenclaw." Tay smiled at the boy.
Chandler looked around at the older girl, "H-H-Hi," he stammered, "I'm Chandler, its nice to meet you," he smiled at the girl, grateful for some company.

"Pleasure meeting you, Chandler." She smiled, "Where are you from?" Tay knew how it felt to be in a stange place without anyone you knew.

Marie giggled, excited that Taylor had started spinning with her. After a few more minutes she stopped, holding her head to keep the dizzy feeling to a minimum. Smoothing her robe and skirt, she said "Sometimes I think the only reason we have dresses and skirts is so we have something that can flare out when spinning."

He was an older student, but she did not remember seeing him around before. Sitting next to him was their new Ravenclaw prefect. Last year she likely would have just waved back and then dug herself into one of her books, but she was determined to break her usual antisocial tendencies. Well, it didn't hurt to have a few older friends to look up to. Taking his wave as an invitation, she scooted down the table to be closer.
"Hello," she said. "I'm Silvia. I don't think I've seen you around before."
Alex looked around the Great Hall hoping to see some familiar faces. Truthfully, she had not really made that many friends last year. "This year is going to be different", she said to herself. Just then, she spotted her friend Silvia further down the table. She was busy talking to some other students. Alex headed toward her, anxious to see her friend again after the long summer.
Mordred frowned and looked at the staff table. “How soon? Tomorrow night?” Psh. Really, these wizards should be considerate. At least put something light to eat on the table while the first years get sorted, and while the rest settles down. The pangs in his stomach were doing the talking for the boy. He was, after all a growing teenage boy and he could get really grumpy when he’s hungry.
Mordred looked at the girl and returned the smirk. “You’d do the same if you were in my place. Or worse.” He shrugged. Meh. Girls. They get too carried away when they feel physical pain. And demanding too! Mordred followed the girl's gaze at the elf and a scowl formed on his face. “Somebody dump that elf back in the kitchens where it belongs. I mean, really we’re in the middle of sorting and it’s asking to play with us?” He usually wouldn’t care about house elves. He’s got a personal one back at home, and it wasn’t as irritating as this one. Calen knew his place, but this baby elf is just too much. For Mordred, at least. “And what’s that he’s holding?” His eyes narrowed to get a better look. Was that an Orb? “Hopefully it doesn’t contain a prophecy.” He smirked. A mental note was made in his head now. “Do not come near that elf…or that orb.” He sighed and rubbed his temples.
Mordred looked at the girl once more. “I transferred last year to Durmstrang, but I was here for my first two years.” He explained. Vague, but that’ll do. Who is she anyway? “I believe I have seen you before. With Ari?” he asked as he looked across the hall and to the Gryffindor table. “I’m Mordred, by the way. Mordred Mordaunt. Fourth year.” He extended his hand to the girl to shake hands. He didn’t have to mention which house he belongs to. The emerald green trim on his school robe and tie were a giveaway.
Gwen frowned a bit as she heard his reply with ‘you’d do the same or worse’. Hmph. To avoid staring coldly at the Slytherin, the fourth year drew her attention back towards the house elf. What the person she was standing next to said was rather rude, but not necessarily untrue. ‘I actually prefer it to the first years’, Gwendolyn mused. Like seriously- she hoped the new ones weren’t as bad as last year. Ack- like those who couldn’t even spell their names correctly. Or find the common room. Pfffft. Facepalm.
Hmmm. Durmstrang. Hadn’t Zeke been there too? Bleh. He could have at least stayed there longer. ‘I see’, Gwen nodded, actually trying to figure out who he was. Huh? What about Ari? Were they thinking about the same person? If so, than the question was rather obvious. ‘Most likely’, the fourth year nodded. ‘Any chance you’ve seen her around?’, Gwen mused as she glimpsed again at the Gryffindor table. She needed to see her best friend!
Mordred. Hang on- She’d heard that name before. Probably from Ari. ‘Gwen Greene’, the girl said as she shook his hand. ‘Fourth year’, she then added while drawing her attention towards the staff table. Headmaster’s speech. See- there wasn’t much longer to wait for the food.
Minerva smiled and didn't mind she didn't respond knowing others were around..
Minerva laughed at Marie "Yeah twirling is fun."

Mordred gave Gwen a confused look. “You like elves?” Well he agrees at some point. They’re dead useful, but with a baby elf during the feast? That’s rather irritating. The first years running around the hall already adds to the chaos—adding an elf with an orb was tad too much. “I’d prefer the first years over elves.” He shrugged. “They’re trainable, elves can be stubborn.” He added as he reached for the goblet and drank the water. “And irritating.” He said and eyed the elf.
“Ari? Nope, I haven’t seen her yet.” Well, it was true. He hasn’t seen his friend at the platform or in the train. “I wasn’t able to write to anybody while I was at Durmstrang. Would you know how she’s doing?” he asked. The last time they were together was at the carnival with Rose. Things have gone crazy back there, and ended up losing both girls. “I wonder if she gained a couple of inches already.” He said half smiling. Mordred remembers her as the girl who had trouble reaching the upper shelves back at Flourish and Blotts. She was really small—since Mordred’s tall for his age.
Oh so that’s her name. It too rang a bell. “Nice to meet you Gwen.” He said. "And thanks for letting me stay at your table." he added. “Fourth year too, huh? I wonder if you’ve met Zeke and Oakey. Zeke’s from Gryffindor and Oakey’s from Hufflepuff. Cool folks.” He said and eyed the Headmaster who made his way to the dais.
After the speech, food appeared on the Rav’s table. “I hope you don’t mind if I eat here?” he said as he looked back at their table. “I don’t even think I can stand anymore.”
