The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.

Ravenclaw! How wonderful. It had been one of Anna's first choices; either that or Hufflepuff. She had read about them, of course. And she felt almost honored to be in such a wonderful house. She was practically bursting with excitement!

She was so excited, in fact, that her usual shy self was hidden somewhere, and she felt uncharacteristically bold. So bold, in fact, that she was willing to walk right up to a stranger girl and talk to her.

Even if that girl happened to be a seventh year, and the Quidditch captain. Of course, Anna didn't know that yet.

"Can I sit?" She asked, leaning forward a little to look at the girl. "Everyone else seems occupied with someone. Unless, of course, you were waiting for someone else. Then I can go sit somewhere else." Okay, maybe she wasn't as bold as she thought she was. She was rambling. Nervous.

But then she noticed the pet carrier. "Merlin's pajamas! Is that a rabbit?!"

Damon looked at Taylor, "I'll see you then," He stood up, "I'll be at my house table if you need me." He smiled kindly before walking away, This will all work out... He tried to assure himself.

Violet then felt someone behind her back. She turned around to find Maxwell and Taylor standing really close together. Rumours had been going around about them dating, but Violet tried to ignore them until she saw it with her own eyes. She clenched her jaw together and while taking a deep breath through her nose. It wasn't something she could change, but it still hurt that Maxwell had left her like that. She thought he would be there for her when she was hurt and sick. He had said that when they first met. Ellie turned her head at the voice to see the dark haired girl. Younger, she seemed. Overly excited, she seemed. First year, she seemed not. Transfer, perhaps?

She was quiet for an awkward moment as she sized the girl up. Tried to place the face, because who knows, she might have always been coming here and Ellie just never noticed her. There were those people who always seemed happy to be locked in an old castle, forced to study and do work, for nine months. "No," she said softly, "No...I'm not waiting for...anyone." So, yes, the brunette could sit if she wanted to. The Captain even managed a small smile.

One which grew, not in size, but in how genuine it was, when Bunny was mentioned. "Yeah," she answered, with a surprisingly happy tone. Getting Bunny was definitely a good idea. Good distraction.

Damon nodded retaking his seat. He was already nervous, though staying made it even worse... but she didn't want him to leave so he would stay.

Maxwell felt a little weird about Taylor talking in private with Violet, His girlfriend and is ex-girlfriend... He laughed a little as Taylor spoke about the robes. "I kind of like it, they're warm and i don't have to think about what to wear, although i'll miss all of your dresses." He said smiling and thinking that she must have at least one for everyday.

She continued to stare, but not as to make them uncomfortable, she was just lost for words at the moment. "Er..my summer was pretty good I guess. I travelled back to Canada to visit my family." she said with a small smile to Maxwell. She didn't realize how much she missed his voice.

Tay half smiled and nodded, "Yeah after the feast in our dorm though i might be a bit since i told Damon that i would meet him at the entrance right after the feast.... would that be okay?" She tilted her head and fiddled with her newly cropped and streaked hair.

Ravenclaw. Of course. Even though the sorting hat said he would do well in Slytherin, the darn thing put him in Ravenclaw.

No, Ravenclaw itself wasn't horrible, but the fact that Anna, his evil step-sister, was in that house made it more horrible. He could see her now. Apparently, she was already making friends. Well, good for her. SARCASM.

Milton just wanted to go home. But that obviously, wasn't going to happen anytime soon, so he would just have to settle for sitting at the table full of blue robes and glare at anyone who looked worthy. Which was everyone.

And of course, the only empty seats were near Annalee and her new friend. And was that a bunny in that cage? On the table?! How unsanitary!

More glaring!
