The Magical Creatures Sanctuary is an outdoor enclosure that looks like a park, full of green grass and random trees. It actually contains a variety of creatures scattered about, ones that don't mind being outdoors during the fall and spring. In the winter, most of these creatures will be brought into the Barnyard where students can continue looking after them.
If you're feeling useful, pick up a shovel from the shed at the back and scoop up animal poo! If you're feeling lonely, go visit with a puffskein or a kneazle or an abraxan, aethonan, or granian. If you're feeling sad, go sit by the brambles and whine to the augurey. Who knows, your skills around these animals might just result in your earning a few house points.
All animals within this enclosure are rated X, XX, or XXX. Please remember your character's skill level, year, and familiarity around animals when visiting the Sanctuary.

"I don't sing. You sing. Both of you sing!" Merlin that screaching was getting on her nerves... maybe she should just silencio it...
"No, he'll set you on fire!" And then she would get blamed.
Oh Merlin's pants on a slimey stick!
Well... there goes the harvesting party she was planning tonight.
"What are you talking about Williamson? How dare you imply I was kidnapping your little monster! I was simply trying to protect the children from your dragon. You are lucky I don't report you to the ministry..." she smiled... it would be soooo easy to tell her husband who just HAPPENED to be the Minister, that the school was harboring a dragon (the legality of which she wasn't even sure of) and it's keeper just forgot to restore the wards around its stall.
... baby?
Merlin this man needed a woman.
"Go ahead Williamson. Go tell Tate." She said sweetly, but her anger came shortly, "And I'll tell him just how incompetent you are with wards!"
"Wheatborn, look at him. He's fine..." Merlin it's not like she spliced him right here!

Oakey was none to happy with himself. He had involved himself with to many magical creatures last term and he's already at it again with a baby dragon! What was wrong with him?!?!
There goes Oakey's chances of seeing Lafay getting her just desserts. She was to clever even for a snake, and to use the "My Husband is the Minister of Magic" threat on Williamson was a low blow. Minerva moved closer to him and noticed she was scared of what may happen to them. He stepped in front of her just a little. Just in case things got heated with Williamson and Lafay.
Professor sir. Oakey finally spoke up to defend him and Minerva from the accusation that was just made by the Gyffindor girl. Minerva and I were just doing what we were told! Professor Lafay was the only one... He stopped himself short before he finished that sentence. He had almost accused the terrifying Potions Mistress of kidnapping as well, with no actual proof that she was stealing a baby dragon. He shut his mouth tight and had hoped that Minerva would throw her smelly gloved hands over his face to keep him quiet. No way was he going into the dungeons for this.
Roro just remained where Daddy was, gently bumping his nose into his Daddy's kneecaps and softly whimpering. Dragon Mama was a MEANY! How couldshea just hurt him like dat? Whimper whimper whimper.
He did start licking at his daddy's boots, though, cuz they had dwagon food spilled all over dem and were taaaaaasty. Lick lick!

"Roro's fine," William snapped at the Gryffindor who dared to intrude on this intense moment. He petted his baby, whispering, "Shh shh shh," in between glaring at the dragonapper.
He wasn't buying her story and he sure as hell wasn't scared of her husband. "You can report me to whoever you want to, but this isn't over yet," he growled, flicking his wand at his baby so an invisible sort of harness formed over the dragon. "Come, Roro, we're going back to the barnyard."
Williamson did toss a nod to both Oakey and Minerva though. "Ten points to each of you for trying to protect Roro. And five for Alyssa for informing me of his predicament."
Then he turned swiftly on his heel and stalked back to the barn, his dragon following him closely.

Minerva couldn't believe when Oakey stepped in front of her. What a great friend he was, but then he opened his mouth and she tried to shush him, "Oakey, just stay quiet" she whispered wanted to be the one to help him not get set on fire. She then watched as the dragon seemed happy with Williamson and she was glad that the little guy seemed okay.
Minerva had to give Professor Williamson some credit standing up to Lafay like that. Her respect grew a bit as he did this. She was always one to stick up for Lafay among her friends, but at this moment she wasn't going to do anything but stay where she was. A shock came over her when Professor Williamson gave her and Oakey points for trying to help Roro "Thank you professor", she said very quiet couldn't help but to grab Oakey's arm, trying not to break a smile, because those points could be lost quickly if Lafay turned on them. When Professor Williamson turned and started to the barn, she made a quick decision and decided that getting as much ground away from Professor Lafay and them would be the best option. She looked to the ground still holding Oakey's arm and took off close behind Williamson and went towards the barn. The closer she stayed to Williamson the safer she thought she was at the moment.

Hecate was NOT happy. So it was Alyssa who warned him... Well, Hecate didn't like not getting what she wanted and Alyssa hindered that... Very well, then... Alyssa was on 'the list.' She turned to Minerva and Oakey and glared. They hindered her as well. "Wheatborn, Gunter..." she said in a nasty tone before leaving to return to the dungeons.

Ten points! Wow, he just got ten points Minerva got ten as well, and what did he say? Alyssa helped as well, I'm gonna have to thank her big time for this, he thought. They got a total of twenty-five points for their house! Granted rescuing Roro was probably more like fifty points each, but guess you can't have all the points when you hadn't intended to actually save the baby dragon and only focused on not getting detention from Lafay. Ten points was awesome though! Play nice Roro Oakey called off to the dragon and his daddy.

Regaining his footing quickly he walked a awkwardly behind her his his arm outstretched and her hand still latched to it. Minerva, you can let go now. He informed her so that he could walked normally again.

Time to check if Lafay was going to turn them into snake food... He turned his head quickly and saw that she WAS NOT pleased with anything that just happened. He heard the Potions Mistress speak their last names and he just knew that Minerva, Alyssa, and him were going to be forced volunteers in her next potions class. Oakey gulped, he'll probably begin writing his Will tonight.

Alyssa opened the gate to the Sanctuary and walked onto the grounds. She was glad that the animals were now back out from the Barnyard. She wanted to visit the Salamanders and even the Jobberknolls and even the winged horses, but first it was clean up time.
Alyssa walked to the tool shed and took out a shovel and wheelbarrow. She placed the shovel in the wheelbarrow before wheeling it out the middle of the sanctuary. This would be where she would start. Picking up the shovel, she scooped up the first dung patty she came across. She dropped it into the wheelbarrow, before looking around until she found another one and scooped it up.
As she worked, she whistled the song, "Whistle A Happy Tune." Alyssa was so used to doing poop duty, that she was starting to get used to the smell of it already. She laughed to herself. She just had to remember to take a shower immediately before going back to the Common Room because the last time she forgot to that first, everyone kept trying stay upwind from her.
Once her wheelbarrow was filled, Alyssa lay down her shovel and wheeled the barrow over to the dung pile at the other end of the Sanctuary and emptied it. Then she wheeled it back to where she last stopped and picked up her shovel again. She continued to scoop up the poop patties until she realized that she had been working for almost an hour. She quickly put her shovel in the wheelbarrow and wheeled the wheelbarrow over to empty it first before she making her way back to the tool shed. She took out her wand and cleaned both the wheelbarrow and the shovel using the "Scourgify" spell before returning them both back into the shed.
Before she left though, she decided that she still had time to at least go feed the Flobberworms. Remembering the last time where she had found them, Alyssa made her way to the damp ditch. On her way there, she went to the food supply bin and grabbed a few heads of lettuce.
She found the damp ditch and began tearing up the lettuce leaves and tossed it on the ground right next to the ditch. She then just sat down on a nearby log and waited for the Flobberworms to come out from their home. As she waited, she kept an eye out for the other creatures that might be hanging around nearby. She definitely didn't want the Flobberworms to be food for the other creatures today.
Slowly but surely, she began to see movement and then the little Flobberworms wriggling out and swarming over the lettuce. Glad to see that her little friends were hungry, she began tearing more lettuce leaves just to make sure that they had enough to eat. She then sat down and watched them as they chewed or rather ingested the lettuce leaves, since Flobberworms didn't have any teeth.
Once they were done eating...chewing..ingesting the leaves, they slowly wriggled their way back into their ditch. Alyssa stood up and waited until they were all safely back into their home, before she tore up the remainder of the lettuce in her hand and left it on the ground next to their home, just in case they got hungry again. She then brushed off her hands and finally made her way out of the Sanctuary.

Reason: Didn't see the homework assignment until today, so adding taking care of animals as well.
It was a lovely day outside, the weather was surely getting warmer and it was perfect for a day out in the grounds. The Sanctuary seemed like a good idea, Ness hadn't been there once this year and she thought it was best she'd make at least one visit to the place. Good thing she wasn't planing on going alone, she had planned to meet up with Kurumi and surely she'd be good company for now.
The Hufflepuff walked into the sanctuary with a small smile on her face. Animals most of the time tended to make her happy and calm. Her pygmy puff had wanted to come with too, and she had allowed him to do so as long as he behaved and stayed up on her shoulder. She honestly didn't need her little puff ball causing any trouble. He was a little tense though, she could feel it and hoping it would calm him down, the red head headed over to the Puffskeins were her indigo ball of fluff would hopefully feel comfortable. It worked, she could feel him becoming calm which allowed her to interact with animals too.
Carefully, Renesmee reached over to one of the Puffskeins and started petting it gently. It seemed to like it and so the Hufflepuff continued doing so. The fur felt fluffly and soft it was a nice feeling and it made Ness go a little fuzzy and warm inside. This had to be way be way better than anything else she could do today especially homework.

With her chizpurfles remover in one hand, Kurumi made her way down to the sanctuary looking to just get out of the castle. While she didn't really need an excuse to visit the sanctuary, seeing as she was down her often, Professor Williamson's assignment was nothing to shake one's head at. Things had changed a lot since she had last been here, which was only to be expected seeing as she had somehow missed an entire month and Professor Williamson even longer, so the Gryffindor could only assume that all her hard work removing chizpurfles from the kneazles was back to square one.
Approaching the nearest kneazle, Kurumi earned its trust through kneazle kisses (blinking very slowly until the kneazle returned the gesture) and promptly picked the creature up to inspect its fur. "Just as I thought," she sighed as she removed the cap to the chizpurfle remover. The poor things were covered in them...and she could only assume that the same was for all the creatures in here.
She was going to need some help...

Which was precisely when she saw Nessie walking over towards the puffskeins. Those poor things were probably covered in chizpurfles too. Maybe she should have brought more of the remover with her.
Releasing the first kneazle, Kurumi kept an eye on Nessie out of the corner of her eye while she coaxed another kneazle to come near her. Once it was on her lap, Kurumi ran her fingers over its fur and began to search for any evidence of chizpurfles. Which didn't take too long. Unscrewing the cap again, Kurumi applied a small amount to the back of the kneazle's neck and then sent that one to go play with the other.
"Hey Nessie," Kurumi called while she lured kneazle number three towards her with the string to her shoelace. "Taking your pygmypuff out for a walk?"

The young Dixon, was quite carried away in though whilst she patted the Puffskein away.Nessie barely even noticed someone had called her name, it was Puffles that did though, which was why he tugged at her to look up.
Renesmee looked up only to see one of the most sweetest people she knew. Kurumi. And of course Kurumi was once again helping out. This time she was helping the animals, or so it seemed. Ness couldn't see too well from where she was but it looked like Kurumi was putting something on the kneazles all around her. Probably some ointment or something, Ness wasn't sure she wasn't too educated about pet care, she barely knew how to even care for Puffles properly He tended to do that on he's own.
Moving her hand away from the Puffskein, Ness slowly got up. "Hey!" she said with a small grin as she began walking over to Kurumi as it would be easier to talk if they were closer to each other. "Not exactly." she said as she eyed her little Puffles. He was actually behaving rather well and she was impressed. "I'm here for the assignment, he just came along." she said looking back at Kurumi.
The Hufflepuff watched Kurumi's hands for a little longer. She was now waiting for a kneazle to come closer so she could put whatever that weird stuff was, over it's fur. Kurumi looked like a natural, and the animals just liek most people liked her. It looked so simple and easy.
"Um..mind if I join you?" she asked. This Gryffindor obviously knew what she was doing, where as Nessie wasn't as sure. Maybe if they worked together, the Fourth year could learn some tips, which was what she needed...she needed to improve at these things.

Swishing the string back and forth to try and lure this particularly shy kneazle in her direction, Kurumi looked over her shoulder when Nessie returned her greeting. "Oh, well don't let me keep you from the puffskeins if that is what you came to take care of," Kurumi smiled, tugging the string across the ground towards her a bit more. Thankfully the playful side of this particular kneazle was overpowering its shy side, so it shouldn't be too much longer before she could reach down and pick it up.
Lifting the string up from the ground and dangling it in the air for the kneazle to paw at for a few moments, Kurumi lowered her other hand for it to sniff and get acquainted with her before she reached down and picked it up off the ground. Once it was on her lap, and she had allowed it to squirm a little, Kurumi began to once again inspect it for chizpurfles.
"Sure," Kurumi chirped at Nessie's request. "I'm just applying some of this chizpurfles remover to the back of their necks. Doesn't seem like anyone has done this since Professor Williamson...was in the hospital wing." So really, all the creatures could probably use a few drops of this. Kurumi scratched the kneazle on her lap behind the ears to calm it a bit more and then pulled some of the fur on the back of its neck to the side and applied a few drops. "It's as simple as that."

Merlin. Kurumi was good at this. Renesmee watched in amazement as after a little bit of playing with the kneazle it easily allowed Kurumi to pick him/her up and sit it on her lap. "It's alright, this seems more interesting. I think it's better I try something more new to me." She looked back at the Puffskeins a little more and then turned back to Kurumi. Yeah this was better, way better. What Ness didn't realise though, was how this would effect her little puff ball. He hated anything to do with cats.
The Hufflepuff sat down next to Kurumi and continued to watch. Chizpurfles? What were those again? Ness had rememebered hearing about them before, but she had almost forgotten all the details that went with them, until she noticed what Kurumi was doing. They were these funny parasites almost like ticks, and they liked to hide in magical animals furs. Now she remembered.
"I see." she said nodding her head and then blushing just a little as Kurumi mentioned the handsome Professor. "I could help if you'd like? but you'd have to guide me. I'm a little new at this." Yes, Puffles may have had fur, but even if he had these weird parasites inside him, Ness wouldn't know. It was a good thing that everytime she went home her nanny cleaned her little baby properly.

Ella skipped down to the Magical Creature sanctuary holding the jar of bugs she had originally bought for Jasper. Her owl had been acting quite snappy lately though, so she decided to share the tasty treats with the salamanders instead. Plus, she figured she might as well start on Professor Williamson's assignment as soon as possible. She had a lot of helping out to do. Her lack of visits to the sanctuary was weighing heavily on her too. She felt like she should have been doing more work here, especially with her love of the subject, but quidditch and classwork had been taking up most of her time. With this assignment, she could make up for her absence, at least a little bit!
Heading towards the trees, the second year figured she should start checking for the salamanders under the fallen branches and leaves around the moss covered trunks. "Come out, come out, where ever you are." She chirped cheerfully, now crouching down on the ground to overturn the debris at the base of the tree. "I've got some lovely...erm...treats for you!" And they'd like the bugs, yeah?
As she continued to move the various sticks and leaves aside on her search, she figured she could use the stuff to build a little fire for the little guys. Heh. That was so resourceful of her! Grin. She was totally awesome at this kind of stuff! "Alright little salamanders, now I'm going to build you a nice cozy fire too. Come out and relax..." Did salamanders relax? What did they do for fun anyway? Did they have social gatherings like humans did? And if so, did they bring dates? Gah. So many questions. Ella should really start carrying around a pad of paper and a pen to write them all down.
Abandoning her search for the creatures, Ella set down the jar of creepy crawlers and set to work on making a perfect little fire. First she gathered the smaller branches and dried leaves in a small pile on the ground in front of her. Next, she used the larger branches to make a teepee shape around the stuff in the middle. Heh. Years of camping with dad really seemed to be paying off! He would be so proud. Alright, now to light the fire. Removing her wand, Ella pointed it at the fire and "Incendio." Within a minute, the wood was on fire. Perfect! And the salamanders would come out now, yeah?
Sarah headed to the Sanctuary and did something she had not done for many months, since she left home -groomed a horse. Yet this time it was different as she was grooming a magical horse, a winged horse to be precise. She did the usual preparation required on a muggle horse on the winged horse in front of her. Using a hoof pick, Sarah started at the heel of the foot and picked forward to the toe, carefully removing all rocks, dirt and other foreign objects. She made sure not to hit the frog (the V-shaped squishy part of the hoof) as it is extremely sensitive. She then did the same on the other foot.

Alyssa entered the Sanctuary and walked towards the winged horses stables and saw that Sarah was already there. "Hi Sarah. Sorry I'm late. I'll start grooming the Abraxan." Alyssa told her friend before walking over to the giant Palamino.
"Hey there boy. How are you doing? It's me again. Give me a minute to grab my grooming tools and I'll be back." Alyssa patted the horse on it's neck before making her way over to the tool shed. She took out a grooming brush, a comb and a bucket of water. Then she went over to the food supply bin and filled it the bucket with horse feed, before making her way back to the winged horse stall.
Taking out a used towel from her pocket, Alyssa first wiped down the horse. Brushing off the dirt starting off with the muzzle, up the neck, over its forehead and down its chest. Then she wiped down its forelegs before making her way across its back, to over its rump and down its hing legs.
Hanging her towel over the stable fence, Alyssa then walked over to the Palamino's mane and untangled its mane removing twigs and bits of stray hay from it before taking out the comb and combing through its hair until it was smooth and tangle free. She crooned to the Abraxan as she combed its mane and then slowly walked over to the horse's hind and reached down and picked up it's tail. She did the same that she did with the it's mane. First removing bits of stray hay from the horse's tail before taking out the comb and brushing down its tail combing out the tangles and the bits of dried poop stuck in it. She combed and she combed until its tail was nice and silky.
Suddenly, Alyssa felt the horse back up. She quickly stepped away to avoid getting kicked, or worse yet having one of it's hoofs on her foot...and then realized that the Abraxan was pooping. Alyssa looked upwards before rolling her eyes. Now she had poop duty to do before she could complete the grooming.
"I'll be back, Sarah. Poop duty to do first." Alyssa told her friend. "Would you mind cleaning his hooves while I'm gone?"she asked her friend.

Kurumi smiled and nodded her head, resisting the urge to jokingly tell Nessie that her inner Gryffindor was showing, but Hufflepuffs could be curious and eager to try new things as well. Really, all the houses were that way so the comment remained in her head. "Okay," Kurumi smiled, stroking the kneazle still on her lap. "We can apply some of this to puffskeins too if you want. I bet they have an infestation of chizpurfles too.
Kurumi was beginning to wonder if she had an infestation because she seemed to be rather obsessed with the tiny parasitic creature. Oh well, someone had to do the task and it didn't seem like anyone else was.
As kneazle number four made their way across the ground, Kurumi began her string technique on number five. "You want to practice on Puffles first? It might be a good idea to try on a creature you are familiar with first so you gain some confidence. I practiced on Walnut back in the dorms." Which had been MUCH harder than any of the kneazles she was dealing with now. She had had to use Professor Williamson's ham trick. In fact, she had some ham with her juuuuuuuuuuust in case she needed to use it on any of the kneazles in here.
So far so good.
When kneazle five took the bait, Kurumi scooped him up and set him on her lap and began to scratch hi behind the ears until his body relaxed and she knew it was safe to proceed. "First, you want to move some of the fur around to see if you can find any evidence of chizpurfles. Usually small dark dots that you can easily brush off." Erm....chizpurfles poop to be exact. "Even if you don't see any it doesn't mean you can't use the solution. It can be used for prevention as well."

There's some good in this world and it's worth fighting for| LOTR|Whovian|Sherlock Fan
Alyssa returned to the Abraxan's holding stall, with a shovel and wheelbarrow and quickly scooped up the steamy pile of poop it had just deposited...almost on her.....and dropped it in the wheelbarrow. Alyssa placed the shovel into the wheelbarrow and pushed it outside the stall for the time being.
Then she returned back into the stall, picked up the curry comb and walked up the Abraxan. Patting it on its neck, Alyssa first started combing on its left side moving the comb in circular motions to remove any dirt, mud and grime from it before moving to the rest of the body. She made sure that when she got to the body parts of the Abraxan to comb with lighter strokes. Once she completely curry combed the Palamino, Alyssa then picked up the body brush.
She brushed with sweeping strokes making sure that she was brushing in the direction of its hair growth. She first started on one side brushing off any dirt left behind before moving to the other side. When she got to the legs she brushed it more vigourously to make sure that what the curry comb had missed, the brush would get it. As Alyssa brushed, she checked for any lesions or cuts the Abraxan may have. She was glad that she didn't find any today.
Now to finish off brushing the horse. Alyssa picked up the finishing brush which had shorter bristles and first starting with the Abraxan's face, ears and throat. She brushed with sweeping strokes, brushing off any dust that the body brush may have missed. Alyssa brushed and brushed the Abraxan's coat until it looked glossy and began to shine.
She was done grooming the Abraxan. "I'm done grooming it. If you could help me out by cleaning its hooves like you're doing with the horse you're working on. I'd really appreciate it. I'm going to clean out the other stalls of poop before I empty out the wheelbarrow." Alyssa told Sarah.
She then walked into the other winged horses stalls, and picking up the shovel scooped up the poop in all the stalls before emptying it in the wheelbarrow. Then she placed the shovel in the wheelbarrow before pushing it to the dung pile and emptying it. She then took out her wand and cleaned both the shovel and the wheelbarrow using the "Scourgify" spell before returning them back into the tool shed.
Next Alyssa took out two buckets and went to the food supply bin and filled both buckets with horse feed. Alyssa carried both buckets back to the winged horses stall.
Alyssa entered the Sanctuary and walked towards the winged horses stables and saw that Sarah was already there. "Hi Sarah. Sorry I'm late. I'll start grooming the Abraxan." Alyssa told her friend before walking over to the giant Palamino.

Sarah was quite happy to hear her friends voice as she looked up from the hoof she had just completed. "Hi Lyssie! So happy you came! You seem to know your animals really well! I will clean the hooves of the Abraxan and then return to my horse." Sarah headed over to the Abraxan, who looked so perfectly groomed. Lyssie was a star at everything... including grooming horses. "Come here, boy" she whispered to the horse, "Sarah is going to clean your hooves, make sure there is nothing in there to make you lame. It won't hurt, I assure you" she said reassuringly. The horse's eyes twinkled as if he understood.
Sarah took the pick and lifted the horse's hoof to examine it. She took out a loose pebble or two with the help of it. Soon she had reached from the toe of the hoof to the other side. She then went on to the other hoof. This one had a giant stone lodged inside. "Poor you, Sarah is going to make it all better" she sympathized with the horse. She picked up the pick and dislodged the stone, the horse neighed in approval. "Lyssie, all done with this Abraxan. I will just finish off the horse I started with."
"Even if you don't see any it doesn't mean you can't use the solution. It can be used for prevention as well."
Infestation. That word made Nessie cringe just a bit. The Hufflepuff wasn't fond anything that had to do with dirt, she was more a clean freak and she preffered to stay away from that stuff if she could. It was then that she realised how she had petted the puffskein earlier. That thing must have been filthy. Too late now, and seeing as her hands must have been already dirty there was no point in getting into a whole fuss. Today she would just have to be good and get over it. How bad was dirt after all? At least she wasn't dealing with poo or anything gross like that.
"Yeah, maybe when we done here." she said a little nervous about doing this now.
The red head blinked. Practice on her precious little Puffles? What if something went wrong? This didn't seem like a good idea. Puffles seemed to be shivering in any case which may have been because of the catlike creatures in front of him. "Okay, I guess." she said nonetheless. She trusted Kurumi and she was sure Kurumi knew what she was talking about.
Alright..she could do this and anyways how dirty could Puffles really be? Nessie picked up her little fluff ball of her shoulder and lay him carefully on her lap. She then listened to what Kurumi said and attempted doing so. She moved, Puffles indigo colored fur around just a bit and was rather horrified with what she saw. There were dark spots everywhere. Grimmacing, the Hufflepuff brushed off a few to make sure it was exactly as Kurumi said, which it was as the tiny dots fell of rather easily.
"Erm..I think my Puffles is going to need a lot of that stuff." she said with a small pout. "And maybe even extra so he doesn't get these things again." Ness may have been just a little worried now.

Kurumi pulled back the fur on the back of the kneazle's neck while her other hand held the solution. She was just about to apply a small amount when she heard Nessie speak again and instead held the skin on the back of the creature's neck to prevent it from running away while she leaned over to see what exactly Nessie was referring to.
"Oh..." Kurumi murmured as she saw all the chizpurfle poop that was being brushed off the tiny fluffball. "I think...he might benefit from a bath..." Kurumi replied as she swiftly applied the solution to the back of the kneazle on her lap's neck. Once it had jumped off her and had rejoined the others, Kurumi decided that maybe it wasn't the kneazles that were the ones that needed the attention. "Hold on a second..."
Kurumi jumped to her feet and made her way over to the puffskeins and leaned over the side of their pen, reaching for the nearest one and slowly brushing over its fur to check for...yep...there it was. A lot of it.
"Um...Nessie? Can you grab a really big bucket?" Or whatever it was that Professor Williamson had around here. Maybe Roro's kiddy pool was available? "We probably should...give all of the puffskeins a proper chizpurfle bath..."

Renesmee sat quietly as Kurumi observed the pygmy puff on her lap. So what she had done was right...wasn't it? She hadn't made a mistake in the checking or anything? The Hufflepuff hoped she hadn't, because it did seem pretty easy especially when Kurumi was doing it.
Hold on a second?
Erm..and why did she have to do that?
Whatever the reason was, Nessie gave Kurumi a small nod and did as she was told. Kurumi must have had an important reason anyways. Getting more and more worried by the second, Ness watched as Kurumi got to her feet and walked towards the puffskeins. Was she supposed to follow? She wasn't sure, so she just sat in her place and waited...waited untill Kurumi asked her for a favor.
Right. A bucket. She could get one. "Sure." she said, unsure of the use a bucket would be. Keeping, Puffles in her hands, Ness got up and took a look around the sanctuary. She spotted a bucket almost immediately, but it looked small and Kurumi had specifically said she wanted a big one. The red head looked around once more, and thats when she found what she needed. Near by one of the enclosure's was a container that looked like a huge bucket, it could even been a little kiddies pool, who knew? Either way it would be perfect.
Walking closer to it, Ness placed Puffles on her shoulder. She would have to remember to put her clothes in the wash after this. Once by the big container, she began lifting it up. It was kind of heavy, but somehow she was just coping. Trying not to be too slow, the fourth year walked over to where Kurumi was.
"Is this alright?" she asked, placing the cointainer beside them. "Um..a bath? Isn't applying that solution enough?" The Hufflepuff pouted. Were Puffles and these puffskeins really that dirty and filled with these things? Ewww! That must have been gross for them.
Sarah returned back to the horse she had stated with in-order to curry comb it as It should always be used before brushing to bring out the dirt and loosen mud. She used the Curry Comb in vigorous small circular motions around the muscle area, leaving out the bony areas such as spine and face, and legs. On one side, she worked her way from the neck, to the barrel, and all the way to the rump. She repeated it on the other side of the body. She made sure to do extra on the meatier parts of the body such shoulder and rump.

"Thanks alot for doing that for me, Sarah."" Alyssa thanked the young Gryffindor. "I'm going to clean out their feeding and water trough and refresh both."she told Sarah as she carried the buckets of feed to the horses feed trough and placed them on the ground. Then she took out her wand and pointed it in the trough and emptied it using the Scouring Spell by saying,"SCOURGIFY".
Once the feed troughs were emptied, she ended the spell and picked up the buckets of feed and filled up the troughs with it. Next she walked over to the water trough and pointed her wand into it and emptied it using the siphoning charm, "TERGEO" and once the water was all siphoned out, she ended the spell by saying, "FINITE".
Now to fill it up again with fresh water. Alyssa pointed her wand into the water troughs and said,"AGUAMENTI" and water started flowing from her wand. She waited until one trough was filled before moving on to the next. Once all water troughs were filled, Alyssa stopped the flow of water by saying,"FINITE".
She holstered her wand and was about to turn around when she felt a bump from behind. She tried to catch her balance by swinging her arms but she was standing too close to the water trough and fell in headfirst.
"Aaargghh!! Phew!!" Alyssa spat out water as she sat up in the water trough, totally dripping wet only to see that it was the Abraxan that had pushed her in. "Hey! I know that you're thirsty but you could have waited for me to move out of the way....or are you playing a joke on me? Bad horse"Alyssa said wagging her forefinger at the horse as she stood up and got out of the trough.
"Now you're going to have to wait until I clean this trough up again." She told the Abraxan, pointing her finger at it sternly. Reaching for her wand, she siphoned the water out again by saying,"TERGEO" and once the trough was dry again, filled it up again with water, by saying, "AGUAMENTI". This time keeping on eye on the winged horse and another on the level of the water in the trough, Alyssa ended the spell once the trough was filled by saying,"FINITE". Then she quickly stepped aside.
"Here. Come and get it.." Alyssa waved the horse over, as she tried to wring the water out of her t-shirt. She was gratefu that the sun was out and that it was warm enough that she didn't have to worry about catching a chill, but Alyssa knew that she would have to return to the castle soon to change.

"Are you okay" duh, obviously not, "Lets be positive about it at least the water was clean" Sarah said brightly. "Need help drying yourself, can I do something to keep you warm? Will Incendio help" said Sarah, a rapid string of ideas flowing from her caring heart.
Meanwhile back to the horse. Now that he (or was it a she) was Curry Combed down, Sarah needed to brush it with a dandy brush/ She had found the hard bristled brush in the stores cupboard and it was need to take off the dirt and hair that the curry comb brought out.In short straight flicking motions the bristles got through the coat and whisked all the dirt out. She did this to all the body, except for the face, ears, belly, mane, tail, or any clipped area, as this can cause the horse discomfort. When she reached a certain spot on the horse, the horse tensed up, obviously it did not like being brushed with the dandy in that place, yet Sarah was used to that so she got out a soft cloth and used it on that spot.
She then took out a soft-bristled brush - a body brush. Usually it can be used on all areas of the horse, yet Sarah had found an extra soft one, so she could use it gently on the face and legs. This brought out all the remaining surface dust. She was careful to avoid a part on the leg however due to a cut.

Alyssa laughed,"I'm okay. A little water won't kill me." still trying to wring off as much water as she could.
But then quickly stepped back from Sarah when she suggested using the Incendio spell. "NO NO not the Incendio spell. That will set me on fire. Thanks for offering though. I'll just use the Hot Air Charm that we learned in DADA class."Alyssa told her friend.
Glad that she had learned it recently, Alyssa took out her wand and concentrating on the spell, made two little clockwise circles with her wand while moving it up and down the front her clothes and said,"SICCUS AEROUS."
Once her front was dry, she moved her wand over to her back and repeated the motions and once she felt that her clothes were dry, she pointed her wand at her head, drying her hair before ending the spell with "FINITE."
