If you chose the round door to the left, you will soon find yourself inside the girl's dorms. Each year has a room of its own, and if this is your first time here at Hogwarts, there will always be someone there to help you find your way. The rooms are spacious, furnished with comfortable wooden bedsteads, each covered in patchwork quilts.
Come inside and make yourself at home, get to know your fellow roommates, but don't stay up too late, you wouldn't want to miss any of your classes!
There are absolutely no boys allowed in the girl's dorms. Should a curious male wander through the wrong round door, his path will be blocked off immediately, and no spell he attempts will remove the obstacle.
Best to keep to yourself gentlemen, I wouldn't bother trying if I were you.

Ella looked at Laura with raised eyebrows. "Come on, Laura, it's only fair!" Especially since Laura had been the one to soak her! She took another step towards her friend before noting what Sophie was up to O_O "Soph, turn my stuff green and blue!" Cause that would be awesome! Ella loved those colors. But then Ella watched as Laura started spraying water everywhere! She was laughing at first, until the puddle on the floor grew larger and started to seep out of the dorm. "Merlin's beard!" She yelled, running over and throwing open the door. She took the wand from her pocket and stood in the hall at the edge of the now extremely large puddle. "What's that spell? It-It makes things vanish...It's evan-evan...evanesco!" With that spell in mind, Ella pointed her wand at the large puddle and said, "Evanesco!" Before her eyes the puddle started to disappear. "WOAH!" Magic really was SO cool.
Laura looked at Ella and the smirked as she took something out of her truck. "I wonder what the Professor would say if I used this portable swamp here." Laura giggled, "We could pretend we are camping." Laura smiled as she hugged Ella forgetting Ella was already wet.

Ella's eyes grew wide when Laura removed-wait, what was that thing? A PORTABLE SWAMP? Uh-oh. "Laura, why am I not surprised you have one of these..." She said, a hint of playfulness in her voice. Then she was suggesting they could pretend they were camping. O_o did Laura camp in swamps often? That was kind of strange...but cool too. "Laura, we couldn't possibly camp in a swamp!"
As Carigan said what Ella was now thinking, Ella nodded. "Carigan's right. I think that might be a bit hard to clean up." And what if it came with swamp animals? Yikes! "But I do like the idea of camping in here. We could make a fort!" Which was something fun but not all that destructive!
Sophie was still walking around in the big puddle that was on the floor of their dorm. AAAHHH!! At least Laura had managed to stop the spell! Then Ella opened the door and started shouting another spell. What was that f- OH! The water was vanishing!! "Ella, that's brilliant!!" Sophei exclaimed and also pointed her wand at the floor, where there was still a lot of water. "Evanesco!" And with that, the water started to vanish.
Good! But... "Our stuff is still all wet!" Sophie said pointing at their beds and trunks. "How are we supposed to dry them off?" She asked, looking at Ella. Maybe... opening the windows? But it would take forever! "Is there a spell that blows a hot wind or something?" Like a blow drier, heh! That should work! Sophie jumped to open her trunk and pulled out her Standard Book os Spells, Grade 2 and started looking for it.
She was still looking for it when she heard the girls talking about camping. She looked up at them. "That is a really cool idea!" Only... without the portable swamp, of course. No professor or prefect would like that... "We could totally use our sheets and quilts to biuld tents and stuff here in our dorm room!" How AWESOME would that be???
Laura put the portable swamp back in her trunk. "Okay I'll use it another day, maybe in Professor Lafay class." Laura giggled at what Ella said. "I have no idea." Laura then smiled at Sophie. "Yeah that would be fun." She loved camping.
Carigan smiled, camping was right up her alley. "That would be so fun! I don't know any spells that would blow a hot wind but I know one that can clean dishes, pots, cages, tables, anything in a kitchen sense really..." Carigan said to Sophie's question.
As hard as it was to believe, the silvery-haired Hufflepuff was extremely tired. Tired from practice on the Pitch, of course, and while she'd meant to rest on the Common Room...she decided to head to the dormitory instead.
Why? Well, if she fell asleep, it'll be at the comfort of her own bed. So all good.
Until she noticed the amount of letters stacked on her bedside table. Sadness didn't go through her, no, for she received the sight with a wide smile as she went over to read them and make some replies. Those were a must, it'd been a day and no reply had been made.

Ella felt her cheeks grow a little bit pink at Sophie's complement but was too focused on cleaning the GIANT puddle to care. "Thanks!" She said, without looking up. She was relieved that Soph was now helping to clean too, it would go a lot faster that way.
At Sophie's next question, Ella frowned. "You're right. Everything is still soaked...I'm not sure of a spell that will dry it all though, Soph." Frown. Ella, not liking not being able to solve their current problem, started digging through her own trunk for books that might be relevant.
The second year was glad that the idea of camping in the dorm was going over well. She really enjoyed making forts and had spent many a summer nights building them with her dad using anything they could find. Pillows, blankets, sheets, towels...anything really. "Lets start on that after we dry all this stuff off!"
SPOILER!!: Laura!

Ella was glad that Laura was putting the swamp away. Phew! That was a big relief. She smiled despite herself at Laura's next comment. Professor Lafay would HEX HER if she ever did anything like that. No doubt in Ella's mind. "You're a nutter, Laura!" She said with a grin.
SPOILER!!: Carigan!

As for Carigan's comment on knowing spells that can clean, that was useful just not in their current situation. She turned to her friend with a smile anyway. "Well Carigan, any time you feel like cleaning all my things you are more than welcome to."
Sophie was glad Laura was putting the Portable Swamp away. She was still looking through her Spell Book when the girls continued talking about camping. She glanced up at them. "Yeah! We could totally start on that after we dry everything off!" Then she looked at Carigan. "You mean 'Scourgify'?" Or was it something else?? If it was something else, SOPHIE MUST LEARN IT!
She was going to be the Charms Queen, she should know all the spells that existed!
Looking back down at the book, she flipped some more pages until she found something that might be useful. "Here, guys!" She said getting up, still looking at the page and studying the incantation for a bit. "I think this could do!" She added leaning the book on her left arm, holding up her wand with her right hand and pointing it at her own bed. If anything went wrong, it had better be her bed, not the others'. "Ventus!" She said in a firm tone, rotating her wand in a sort of circular motion.
A blast of wind came out of her wand and the quilt in her bed flew and fell on the floor. Her pillow was also blown by the spell and everything else was almost flying around too. "Finite!" Oops! The wind had been so strong that it messed Sophie's hair up.
It sort of had worked though... right? "Um... that was some wind." Hehehehe!
Janice walked in the dormitory after she saw the Herbology notice board, again, giving out the first instructions for the Herbology Task Force to tell the school to respect plants. She had been thinking about it for a few days, and finally she came up with something that she thought is creative.
She sat on her bed, facing towards the place where her head should be, and conjured a rose flower (Orchideous!). It was in the colour of the lightest possible of a pink, more or less. If you look at it under the sun, you wouldn't be able to determine if it's white or pink, and the same thing goes if it's in dim light.
Janice considered plucking out petals from the rose, but then she thought better of it. At the end, she only pulled one petal out. "Geminio!" she said softly, and the petals duplicated themselves. "Finite," and they stopped.
She also made a banner for the cause, as she remembered that some people said that her banners are quite nice. She spread the flower petals on the banner to make it more Herbology-ish.
After she observed her handywork, she decided that she will find a place to put it tomorrow. Now, sleep.
Laura looked around the room and giggled when Sophie tried her spell, it had sort of been successful but not very successful, she knew a spell but she didn't think the others would believe her if she told them it.
Laura said the incantation and did the tricky wand movement, hoping it would work she was pleased when her bed was dry, she had done it sneakly so that the others haven't seen her use her wand or say the incantation, she went and sat on her dry bed wondering what the others would say.
Carigan smiled at Sophie "Yes, it is Scourgify! It wasn't hard to learn, the wand movement is fairly simple." She then looked over and Laurawas siting on her now dry bed? "L-laura... wasn't your bed dry just a second ago?"

Evelyn entered the dormitory, yawning. After pretty much spending the entire evening wandering the grounds and also finally getting some studying done, she was ready to hit the bed. She still had to get her all her homework done but that could wait until the morning. All she wanted now...was sleep.
She sat down on the edge of her bed and started to untie the laces of her sneakers when she noticed Kate. She'd never really talked to her fellow seventh year after that meeting in the train.
"Hello, Kate." She suddenly noticed that the girl seemed quite busy reading what looked like letters so she quickly added, "Hope I'm not disturbing you."

Ella had been watching Sophie and the crazy jet of wind that had escaped her wand. "Merlin's beard, Soph! That was wicked. Just like a hurricane or something!" Though without all the falling branches and stuff. The second year felt her things and though still damp, they were much more dry than they had been previously. "We have to practice spells sometime. I want to know what you know." Yes, Sophie. Please teach us!
And then there was Laura. Why was she sitting on a wet bed? But wait...Ella walked over closer to her friend's bed and touched it gingerly. "Laura! What?" How and when had she dried her bed? "You knew how to do this the whole time?"

Laura looked at Ella when she came over and gingerly touched her bed. "It doesn't bite you know." Laura giggled and then faked shockness. "What I didn't tell you I knew how to dry the bed?" Laura thought for a couple of minutes. "Are you sure I didn't tell you." Laura layed back on her nice dry bed.
Sophie beamed. "We should totally practice spells! Like, aaaall the time!!" She nodded. Yep! Yep!
And Laura was sitting on her bed. And the others just said it was dry! Wha? "How did you do that, Laura?? What's the spell??" She said with wide eyes, her hair still messed up. SHE MUST KNOW THE SPELL!!
She hopped her way to Laura's bed and felt it. DRY! "TELL ME, LAURA, HOW YOU DID THIS!!" Pretty pleeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!

Someone was tired.
Well, as a matter of fact, BOTH girls seemed to be super tired, only Eve wasn't hiding it between yawns. Being Prefect wasn't an easy job, was it?Though she supposed being Captain was a bit harder. There were higher expectations to fulfill.
Anyway, as soon as Eve greeted her, Kate gave her a warm smile and placed the letters away, "Hi Eve," she said, "How are things?" because they haven't truly spoken after the train, and when she finally made it here every night...Eve was either already asleep, or out on rounds....so...
"Oh, no, you're not disturbing me at all...I didn't get a letter as exciting as the one you got,"wink. She'd noticed. Kate was good at noticing things...

"Things are alright..I think." Evelyn with a small frown. She still was a little confused about what happened down at Hogsmeade..but, no. She wasn't going to think about that now. She was going to meet Eddy later so she'll just talk it over with him..anyway. "How have you been? Oh. Congratulations on making the team, by the way. I never really got the opportunity to congratulate you.." She flushed slightly. She should have done this ages ago but they'd both been really busy. So.
HUH!? Evelyn stared at the girl, her face slowly turning red. The letter from Trey. How on earth did Kate even know about that? Was Evelyn's reaction that obvious or something? Um. "Yeah. That was a letter from..a friend."Evelyn muttered, hoping the girl would just let this go.

Ella smiled at Laura when she said her bed didn't bite."I bet there's a spell for that..." She added, giggling. Though wait, that had probably been a bad thing to mention to Laura of all people. The girl would most likely be looking into that now meaning Ella would have to be extra careful when going to bed! "And no, you didn't tell us! But now you HAVE to!" So out with it, Laura!
The second year couldn't help but burst out laughing when Sophie started jumping on Laura's bed, hair disheveled, pleading with Laura to tell her the spell. It actually looked like fun so Ella hopped up on the bed and joined in the begging. "Yeah! COME ON LAURAAAA!"
Sophie beamed. "We should totally practice spells! Like, aaaall the time!!" She nodded. Yep! Yep!

Laura looked over at Carigan, she was being a bit strange today, she hadn't come over to her bed to see what was going on, Laura was about to say something when Sophie came over to her bed. "I just did it, I used a wand and said a spell and it was dry." Laura smiled innocently, how did Sophie think that she had dried to bed.

Laura was about to continue speaking to Sophie, when Ella spoke, she was annoyed with Ella when she teased her about her behavour, Laura was trying to be good from now on though they were annoying her, she was sure that all three of them thought she was mental.
Laura looked at Ella and Sophie and then snuggled into her bed. "I think that I will let you see if you can guess the spell first." Seriously that would be better than her just telling them the spell, what was the fun in that.

What was this? Laura was now SNUGGLING in her nice warm bed while the other girls were left waiting to dry theirs? She had to laugh. The situation was actually quite humorous, especially because Laura seemed totally content on not telling them what spell she had used. Ella wouldn't give up easily though.
The second year lay down across the foot of Laura's bed, looking upward, trying to think of what spell Laura could have used to dry it off completely. "So we're playing a guessing game now, huh?" She asked with a smile. "Was it Deletrius?" She asked, now playing along.

Things weren't alright. Got it.
Kate didn't usually started this kind of talk with someone she hadn't known for a little while, but she still did. "Do you want to talk about it?" she was a good listener, but not very good at giving advice. Sometimes.
"Oh, I've been great, I miss Sweden...but I like it here," it was nice, and she was getting used to the warm quicker than she thought. Okay, so, the letters were definitely pushed aside, if they hadn't been pushed aside already. Kate will work on her replies in the morning. The team? The Quidditch team? Wasn't that ages ago, Eve? Anyway, "Thanks!" she sort of figured she'd make it, though, otherwise that would've meant she'd lied to Keefer about how great of a Chaser she was...
Ah. Her cheeks. That was cute. "Male friend, I suppose?" else she wouldn't have blushed, "I take it he's okay, right?" because her expression might have been entirely different if her friend hadn't been alright.

"Nope that's not it, now if you don't mind I think I'll take a nap before I go get something to eat." And with that Laura closed her eyes, seriously their beds would dry in time why didn't they just wait.
Really?? Reeeally, Laura?? Sophie shook her head and walked towards her bed again. That Ventus spell was a complete mess but it kind of worked, so she would stick with it instead of playing the guessing game.
Sophie pointed her wand at her things again. "Ventus!" And the mighty wind bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew again! She smirked and turned her wand towards Laura's bed.
MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!
"Guess what, Lauraaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!" She said while everything around them flew around.
