Elise beamed, shrugging. "Anytime," she smiled. "I couldn't miss your birthday now, could I?"

She didn't have to? Elise's eyes nearly shot out of her skull. But it was her birthday! How could El NOT get her anything?! "Of course I did! It's your birthday!"

Hugging the elder Hufflepuff, Elise grinned. Yay! Hugs! "Happy Birthday!" she smiled before realizing that the hug was maybe a little too tight, but she didn't mind. Hugs like these reminded her of home.

Oakey paused for a moment from his intense dancing when Alyssa came back with an older boy she seemed rather clingy to. Catching his breathe He looked to the older boy. This was Aaron. The Class Clown the Mascot...wait had Alyssa just called his idea a Cheer Leading Team? Alyssa, It's called a Cheer Squad. Really? Cheer Leading sounded way girly. Looking back to Aaron the Class Clown Oakey introduced himself, Hiya Oakey put his hand out for him to shake. Yeah, because I'm not allowed to play Quidditch I've been practicing my cheers. Alyssa told me about you being a mascot and well I thought we could work together.

Kurumi's eyes widened and she looked at his hand, her own clutching the heart pendant around her neck. Just standing around was going to make the environment of the party dark and that wasn't fair to Nessie. On the other hand, most of Kurumi's being was telling her to run, maybe pretend to be organizing the table or something.

"You know...the last time we danced together you stepped on my foot," she said shyly. She had had practice since then, attending some of the dinner parties Jonathan's family had put on. Still, his words lingered in the air much longer than they should. What...did that mean exactly? Him putting her before the others?

Timidly, Kurumi reached out and took his hand. He better not step on her feet this time or try anything.

Whoa! Did she really just take his hand to go dance with her? It had been a long stretch, but it happened. He lead her out onto the dance floor. Well, to make this even more awkward no one seemed to be on it, or even near it. Like some magical forcefield was keeping the party goers away from the floor, an somehow these two had been let through.

No. As if this weren't weird enough for them, the song turned out to be slow. His eyes got big with fright. A slow song. Really? Oh, an to top it, Adam couldn't even dance. He wasn't sure why he had half suggested in the first place.

"I..don't know how to dance." He confessed to her, looking around awkwardly. Could someone just be the center of attention an just start performing some crazy stunt to distract them. When he moved his feet he couldn't find the beat of the song an was dancing slower than the slow song was being played at. "Sorry..." Adam mumbled when he then accidentally stepped on her foot.

Kurumi was about to be in the middle of the most slowest dancing in a slow song ever.

There was a split second where Ellie heard a "Sme-" come out of Nessie's mouth and Ellie knew the Puff was about to call her Ellie Smelly. And for that split second, Ellie glared at the girl, but when the red-head caught herself, Ellie's glare disappeared. Ahem. Now that was over. Ellie grinned when Nessie hugged her back. And luckily Nessie didn't seem too upset about getting another present. Maybe she was just holding back.

"How do you like your party so far?" Ellie asked over the chatter and the music. 'Cause holy buckets, there was a lot of people there.



Aww. Mia hugged her. Ellie grinned and hugged her friend back. "How are you?" Ellie asked. She hadn't seen Amelia in a long time. She hadn't really seen Zay all that much either, which was really sad.

Ellie turned to short!boy Zayden now. 'Cause he was kind of yelling at her in a happy sort of way. And he seemed really excited to see her. Ellie grinned again and gave Zayden a hug because she was kind of in a hugging mood now. Parties made her feel extra friendly. But not in a creepy way. WAIT. There was cupcakes?! Ellie's eyes bolted over to the cupcakes on the table. "Yes!" Ellie exclaimed and made her way over there, leaving Zay in the dust.



After devouring a cupcake, Ellie licked her finger and turned around, observing all the other students in the room. Wow, Nessie was quite popular. Even Kurumi and the Head Girl were here. Ellie expected Adam to come, but she hadn't seen him yet... Oh, there he was! He was... hiding in a corner. Odd. Ellie found him and walked over to the Prefect with a big smile. "Hey, you. What are you doing back here all by yourself?" He should be out enjoying the party and dancing!

"Oops! I'm sorry about misphrasing that, Oakey. I meant Cheer Squad. I guess I'm so used to the term cheerleading since that's what we have back in Salem." Alyssa apologized to him.

"Aaron here for some weird reason, always has a new costume to wear for any occasion. I'm surprised you didn't wear one today. Oh wait, please don't tell me you gave Nessie another costume as a birthday present."Alyssa turned to ask Aaron. Alyssa couldn't help but laugh when she remembered the dare that Aaron had made Nessie do. Nessie ended up wearing a monster suit throughout their Muggle Studies Dance Class Lesson.

When the music turned to a slow song, Kurumi mentally slapped herself across the face. This has been a bad idea...a really REALLY bad idea. Her eyes wandered around the room looking for some sort of way out of this situation, but everyone seemed to be a little preoccupied with other things. Why did Jonathan have to be so stubborn and not come? Why did Nessie have to do some things to upset the Slytherin and make him not like her? Why did Kurumi accept Adam's hand just now?

Kurumi swallowed hard and looked at Adam. Merlin, he was still holding her hand. "You know...this is just like last ti---" But then her face contorted at he stepped on her foot. Yep. This had been a terrible idea. "...ouch..."

Kurumi slowly pulled her hand out of his. "Jonathan always leads whenever we dance together," she mumbled. So...she didn't know how to lead.

Adam heard a voice behind him, an he sort of recognized it. He grimaced to himself before turning around. Avoiding you the best I can. He thought as he saw Ellie smiling at him. "Being...weird." Adam answered. Then he realized he had just given her the most awkward, random reply, an he smacked his head for his stupidity. "Just.. admiring... the decoration..." What was he saying? Yes, because that was a better answer than his first. To show some 'interest' in the decoration he patted the couch that had been placed nearby him. "Nice..err..design it has. Don't you think?" Even he had to admit this wasn't even normal for the random,weird Adam.



Adam just looked at her with a blank expression. Ok. These had probably been number 1 on their 'most awkward moments together' list. They had decided on dancing only to end up in the situation in which he asked to dance although he didn't know how, an she had never led before.

"Sorry..." he mumbled again when his foot had stepped on her. But then she mentioned Jonathan's name an he had to resist himself to say anything about them dancing, so he bit his tongue.

"Yeah..Where is he?" Adam asked in a hopeful tone that he would show up. They couldn't just stand there on the dance floor, talking an not even dancing. Oh, what the others were thinking of this. "I-I-I guess I can try to lead?"

He took back her hand an just kind of shuffled in spot, barely moving his foot, though, Adam wasn't even facing her since he was scared to step on her shoes again. So, his head turned to the floor as he tried to coordinate himself. "Ahheehehah" He laughed nervously.

"Me too.." she replied with a beam. Man, she didn't know that parties at Hogwarts were this cool! She loved everything.. The food especially and the neon lights. "Oh, and sorry if I don't have any present for you." Beezus added after seeing that most of the visitors did brought presents for the birthday girl. Gaaaah, she was embarrassed, being the only one without a gift. "Reaallyy..sorry.." Well..considering the time she was invited, she didn't have the chance to prepare.

And what? She looked pretty? Oh, so did she! Beezus felt her cheeks burn a little. "Thanks Ness, but you should know that you're prettier.." For she really was. Just then, dancing music began to play all over the room. The other guys paired up and started dancing while others followed their own beat. She just looked at them with sparkling eyes, yeap..that was the biggest dilemma of people who didn't know how to dance. Just stay at one spot and look at the dancers having a good time.

There was a difference between cheer leading and a cheer squad? Aaron shrugged, they all cheered right? He was good at that, with his pretty awesome badger suit and some yelling Hufflepuff related things.
Aaron shook his hand. 'I be Aaron.' He smiled before giving the boy a confused look, he wasn't allowed to play Quidditch? Odd. Aaron just shouldn't play Quidditch, for starters because he didn't have the patience to sit still on a broom for more than five seconds. And second because it required him to pay actual attention.
'I wonder if they have Dr. Pepper.' Aaron shrugged, probably they did. Or else he'd just have to live. EvenifDrPeppermeantanevenawesomerparty.
'Coolie.' He nodded, 'I've got my badger suit, so... what would you be wearing?'
They had to wear something to show their Puff Pride, right?
'I was laaate,' Aaron said and pouted. 'And sort of may have forgotten there was a party and stuff. So... voila, normal clothes.' Sort of. He grinned when Alyssa asked about his present, shifting around awkwardly.
Maaaaybeeeeee.
'Well... It's not necessarily a costume but more of a necessity...' Was that right? Aaron looked around, Nessie should totally wear the suit though. She had to, it was HER afterall. The actual Loch Ness suit.
Aaron rolled his eyes, 'everybody likes costumes, they need one!'

Jez smiled, enjoying the warm tickling of Nate's kiss on her ear. She wasn't quite sure why she'd picked right now to tell him - maybe she'd realised that she'd never said it before. She could have died last summer without saying that to Nate. Scary thought.
She turned quickly when he called to Pam, wondering what had happened, and smiled all the wider when she realised that Pam was indeed looking happy. She looked up as the music changed, though what she expected to see was a mystery even to her. A face on the ceiling that was supposed to represent the room? But (thankfully) there wasn't any face. Just the new song, playing around them. Jez listened to it, trying to decipher the meaning.

Her little Alecutie looked so adorable in purple and he looked very handsome too. She gave him another sweet grin and then decided she had to say something about how dashing he looked. "Purple suits you." she gave him a small wink. Firsties were just too adorable.

The Happy birthday part she was okay with, but the pretty? Not really. She didn't like it when people said she was beautiful, pretty or anything like that because she thought knew she wasn't. "I'm not pretty." she gave him just a little bit of a serious look so he knew she wasn't joking.
As for her day, well it had been alright up till now, but it seemed to be getting better than just alright. "Its been fairly good I guess, besides for the um..presents..yeah its been good." she gave him a small nod and because she cared about he's day too, she asked him how he was doing. "How about you?"

Now she was smirking even wider. "The condition issss...that I get to pinch your cheeks whenever I want." She giggled as she looked at he's cute little cheeks again. She sounded like a child didn't she? But she didn't really care, those cheeks were too irresistable.Neszilla? That was maybe a little insulting, but Nessie knew better than to take it to heart. It was Aaron and he was just fooling around as always. "Aaronzilla!" she said as she felt one of he's arms drag her into a hug? But a weird sort of one which was why Nessie had made sure the hug was a quick one. No need for more awkwardness.

She gave him a small nod. Yep, purple was kind of what he was supposed to be wearing. "Yeah..but um..It's okay I guess." she'd go easy on him, he wasn't as easy to tease as her other brother Adam.

By now, Nessie had become accustomed to getting all these gifts it felt like a routine. She didn't even bother anymore, saying she didn't want presents. "Erm..thanks?" she said accepting the gift which wasn't wrapped very well. "I really apreciate you coming." she gave him another grin.The door? It always had to give people trouble didn't it? Tis was probably why so many people were coming late. At least there people came in the first place right? "Don't worry about it, as long as your here now." she gave Sammy one of sweet smiles. Amy? Her lips formed their usual thinking position which was a pout. That was a little bit of a bummer, as Nessie was fairly close to Amy, but well if she couldn't make there wasn't much either of them could do, and it was just one person anyway. "Its okay i suppose, if she comes, she comes..she doesn't then she doesn't." It wouldn't be the end of thew world.

Now that was really funny, Nessie burt into laughter. She didn't understand how anyone could have such weird logic. Surely if he wanted a present, he wouldn't tell everyone not to buy him one right? Mehh..some people were weird and funny. "I'm not like that though..I really don'tneedpresents." she mumbled to herself again.She gave him a small nod, showing him her approval of the fact that he was glad. He had been a little down lately and it wa sgood to see him smiling, like he usually did. She gave him a small smile back, because smiling was contagious wasn't it?

He was lying right? Because she kind of felt like a plum with all the purple everywhere. "I do, I look like a bright purple plum...I think I'm going to start hating purple after this." She was just seeing too much of it anyway. He would have to survive with wearing purple one day, because if he didn't wear purple, she'd honestly have a huge fit. and her fits were'nt very friendly. "Its not like you have a choice." she said pulling her tongue out at him.

As Adams face became redder, Nessie's did the same thing....it was quite embarassing, but it was what he said that made her go really red, even a shade redder than her hair. She looked at him with huge shock in her eyes, and then she blinked a few times. He wasn't serious? Honestly? Tom? O__________O There we're two reasons that wouldn't happen.One. Tom apparently couldn't dance, and Two. What didn't Adam get with the fact that two were just friends. Nessie didn't say anything, instead she slowly backed away from him, Why did he have to embarrass her at her own party? She gave him a sort of annoyed look , and then used her hands to cover how bright her cheeks had gone.That was too sweet. Nessie gave the prefect a small little smile. "Honesty is the best policy. Right?" Thats what she had always known as a little child. Out of nowhere, Nessie felt a little poke in her side, which was had to be Kurumi. She giggled almost at once and took a step back out of insinct. It wasn't that Kurumi had done anything wrong, it was just Nessie was rather tickleish there and she didn't like getting tickled. "Maybe I was wrong." she managed to say once she had recovered. That was true, Nessie would always be younger, but she liked it that way. "I guess so." she said with another little grin.

Walking through the busy crowd, Nessie put down the box, containing the cake inside, on the right side of the food table. It seemed to be in a safe place and surely no one would touch it without permission right? Hopefully not.WOW! Since when had Oakey learned how to dance like that? Nessie stared in amazemnt. She used to do be capable of doing some of that stuff too, but since she hadn't danced properly in more than a year she was a little afraid to try again, and anyway crumping wasn't her specialty when it came to dancing. She used to be the best at Ballroom dancing, but she did Hip-Hop, tap and even though she didn't like it much she used to do ballet too.

"Great dance moves." She said once he had stopped moving for a few moments. The guy deserved to know how good and tallented he was. "I used to dothatstuff." she mumbled a little to herself.Well it wasn't the end of the world if she did, but yeah it wasn't something anyone would want to miss. "I guess not." she grinned.

Ness pouted her lips. She couldn't do this anymore, almost every person that had spoken to her today ahd told her how much they couldn't not giver her a present. It was really dumb to be honest, and Nessie didn't get why they just listened and why they just didn't buy presents."I give up, telling you all that I don't need presents." she sighed and sort of shrugged.

Elise's hugs were tight, but Nessie liked that. It was way better than those weird awkward hugs, people gave you sometimes. "Thank you." she said again as she pulled back.There was an odd glare coming from Ellie and it made Nessie's eyebrow raise up in confusion. What had she doen to earn a glare? But before she could think much further the glare dissapeared. Which was when it hit her that it must've been the fact that she had almost called Ellie, Ellie Smelly again. Well the hug must have meant that Ellie wasn't angry right?

Hmm..well it was quite awesome, but there were a few things she wished she could change. Like she wanted her best friend here, well at least the one that was alive. She missed Zara and she hadn't seen the girl around in ages, but she didn't feel like thinking about that now. She needed to stay positive. "I think it's been quite special and amazing." she said with a small grin. 'What would you say?" she said asking Ellie's opinion.FINALLY!!! Someone that hadn't brought a present. For that Beezus got an extra hug. "Your the best!" She shouted. Beezus must have thought she'd gone mad, btu really Nessie was just happy that someone had actually listened to her and had not gotten a present. Pulling back, Nessie smield at the younger girl. "Your the only one that listened to me." Nessie woould have even given Beezus an award for being so awesome if she could.

Prettier? Naaaah..Nessie wans't even pretty at all. "That not possible, your way more prettier than me." She gave the Ravenclaw a small wink. Nessie noticed the girl was now looking at the dancefloor, she turned her eyes there too and noticed something VERY weird!! Kurumi and Adam were dancing...together. Okkaaay? That was little odd, which was why Nessie couldn't help but stare in shock.

Alyssa rolled her eyes when she heard that Aaron HAD given Nessie a costume as a birthday gift. "You gave her a Loch Ness monster costume? Wherever did you find one?" Alyssa laughed. Aaron could be so predictable. "Well I'm just glad that you could make it to Nessie's birthday party. She must be really happy to see you."

Alyssa listened as Oakey and Aaron discussed about cheerleading. This year was going to be great. Hufflepuff House was going have an official cheer squad complete with mascot (Aaron) and a cheer team.

"I'm going to get me some food. Do you want to come with me or do you want to stay and chat with Oakey while I bring you something? I know Dr. Pepper is top on my list. Oakey would you like anything?"Alyssa asked..

Aaron nodded proudly when Alyssa asked him if he had given Nessie a Loch Ness costume. Course he had. That was like... the bestest thing ever.
'Where'd I find it? I made it!' Aaron nodded. Well... with some a lot of help from his mum and gran. Seeing his gran a lot more was one of the awesomer parts of having moved away from Silverton.

Food? Of course Aaron would come. He was starving, he hadn't eaten in at least an hour. Also, if Dr Pepper was involved...
'I'll come alooooong.' He said happily, still holding on to her hand. 'See ya in a bit Oakey!' Really, they should get an awesome cheerleading team. Or Oakey should, and Aaron was the Mascot.

Fashionably late..

Or more likely Tom's ever increasing procrastination and the urge to stick his head in the sand when it came to social occasions with his fellow Hogwartians (or 'them blaady poshos' as he liked to call them) had delayed him. Yes, he may have nothing in common with many of them, but he could at least make some sort of an effort to TRY and make friends.

Releasing his cheek from between his teeth where it had habitually gone in his anxiety, he pushed open the door with one hand to the Room of Requirement and wandered in. In his other hand he clutched a flat, rectangular package, wrapped simply yet neatly in plain brown paper with the single word 'Ness' scrawled on in his untidy dyslexic handwriting. Embarrassed to hand it to her in person, he merely laid it on a nearby table which he then hovered beside awkwardly and looked around already wishing he 'adn't blaady bovvah'd comin' 'ere.' In the sea of purple and disco lights and food, he didn't recognise one face. Not. One.

And so the subconscious cheek chewing began again, and he frowned his trademark frown and leaned against the back wall and hoped to Merlin his sister or Brad would show up and rescue him from his impending doom of remaining here, standing on his own and looking like a lemon for the rest of the party.

Zayden was quite happy that his friend had liked the flowers! It wasn't much, like he said before, but it was something. "I'm really happy you like them Nessie," the scottish said, "but be careful not to knock them off the beside table during the night." It was just a warning because he's done that before with other things, like his alarm clock and chapstick (yes, he had chapstick).

Errrm, well now he had Ellie wanting to have cupcakes with him and his girlfriend wanting to dance. *MELLOOOOOW* "Erm." He cleared his thought. "Ellie, I'll join you at the food table in a minute. I'm going to dance with this beautiful girl first."

He squeezed Amelia's hand in return then led her out onto the dance floor, and then he spun her around to face him. "Why hello there." His lips curved into a smile now as he slowly placed both of his hands upon her hips.

Ella stepped through the door holding Logan's hand rather tightly. She looked at him with an apologetic smile and then looked around at the space. The room was perfect! "I just-I can't believe something like this exists. It's amazing."

Logan looked around the room and blinked. Wow. Absolutely perfect. Just...amazing. He looked at Ella and then back at the room. "S-same here." he mumbled. He was too stunned by what they had found. After a while of quietness, he took a walk around the room, still holding Ella's hand. He walked up to a shelf where several pieces of music were, and little books to teach how to play. "It's brilliant." he whispered, running his hand down one of the spines of the books. He turned around and saw a fireplace with a few couches by it. "So...you wanna start?" he asked.

Ella watched as Logan reacted to the room. While she thought it was great, he seemed really in love with it. The way he ran his hand down the music book, he really loved music and she could tell. She couldn't help but smile. It was nice being around someone who cared about something so much. Following his gaze to the couches Ella was suddenly aware that Logan was speaking to her. What had he said? She wasn't sure but when in doubt, she agreed.. "Um yeah sure." She walked over to the larger couch and sat, looking at him nervously. Why was she so nervous all of the sudden? And the butterflies...they were back and flying.

It's fine Alyssa. Cheer Leading really!? Oakey wasn't a girl. Oakey turned back to Aaron once Alyssa had told him about Aarons costumes. One for every occasion, Really? What would you wear on Valentine's Day? Why wasn't he wearing one now?

He needed a costume?!?!?! Oakey didn't have a costume just some loud noise maker stuff and a charmed toy megaphone. I-I don't have a costume but I can transfigure clothes pretty well if I need to.


...Wait..Dr.Pepper who? Who was Dr.Pepper, why would he make the party better?




I'm fine, I'll get something to drink when I'm ready, thanks though Oakey listened to this whole Renesmee in a Loch Ness Monster costume thing. He then imagined her in said costume and started laughing hard. BWAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA. Th-That's the funniest thing I've ever imagined He calmed down from his laughing fit as Alyssa and Aaron went to go see this Dr. Pepper guy.





Oakey turned his attention to the voice behind him who just complemented his dancing. Oh! It was the Birthday girl. Thanks Renesmee. he smiled. You've danced like this before?!?!
Oakey's eyes popped out when he heard The Birthday Girl mumble. That's awesome! I bet you still have it in you.

Hey, I'm sorry I didn't get you anything. I heard you were getting some pretty interesting things. The image of Renesmee in a Loch Ness Monster costume popped up in his head again, he held back the laughter.

"Okay." he said, sitting next to her and taking his guitar out. He cleared his throat. What did he start with?! Maybe showing her some notes...chords...what? Yeah notes. That's right...right? Yeah of course!!!! He looked at her and she seemed a bit nervous. "Don't be nervous, Ella. You'll be fine." he said. "Now, these are the basic notes." he said, showing her all of them and explaining them to her, trying to keep any nervousy out of his voice.

Ella nodded at Logan, taking a deep breath. He was right, she had no reason to be nervous. She focused on what he was telling her about the notes, smiling encouragingly at him. "Alright, I think I got that." She said looking at him.

Amelia brushed off Ness's insistence that she didn't have to make her a card. She had wanted to do it, and she had fun in the process. Plus, a card was something that came from the heart when she made it. That meant that Ness was special. ^_____^

"Here. I did it in your favourite colour." She took out the card from her purse and held it out with a smile.

Amelia smiled as her friend hugged her. She hadn't seen Ellie after the Muggle Studies lesson, so it was nice to catch up to her now.

"I am amazing right now! How are you? You look really pretty," she added now. Ellie always looked so pretty, and Amelia wished she had good looks like that. But she wasn't jealous of Ellie, because she loved her.

But now Amelia was dancing with her boyfriend and she was really towering over him in her high heels. hehe. She kissed the top of his head now as she started to move with him around the room with him. "Hello there indeed, handsome." UGH! He looked so yummy right now. <3

Elise shrugged, grinning. And when Ness pouted, she just smirked. It was kinda childish, the way she did it. But it was what made Elise feel closer to her. She was just way awesome. "Don't bother telling me," she grinned. "It'll never work out. I can't resist gift-shopping, so it's more fun for me anyway!"

Pulling away, Elise bounced on the balls of her feet. "You're welcome," she smiled warmly. Nessie gave awesome hugs, the ones where you couldn't breathe but didn't mind.

Elise spun around quickly as the door opened to see a tall person coming in. Waving at him, she grinned. "You're... Purple," she stated, eyeing his outfit. Maybe she'd hold off wearing purple for another month, yeah?

Probably.

Alyssa laughed when Oakey started laughing after she had mentioned about Nessie having to wear that monster costume last term. Then she calmed down long enough to tell Oakey,"Well if you want anything just holler. We still might be able to hear you through the music."she grinned at him as she went off with Aaron holding his hand and happy that she finally was able to spend some time with him.



As Alyssa walked to the refreshments with Aaron, holding his hand, she laughed when she recalled what he had said about how he had found his costumes. "I should have known that your Mum and Gran were helping you to make them. How are they doing by the way? And Shay? Still getting himself into trouble, I imagine. Please say to them for me the next time you OWL them.

Anyway, I'm glad that you decided to come to Nessie's party. She was wondering whether you'd show up. I was too. I know you've been busy attending Apparition lessons. How is that going by the way?" Alyssa thought to mention that, since she knew that Aaron had been eager to start apparating now that he was 'Legal' but she also knew how he disliked going to classes.

"So what do you think about Oakey? I hope you didn't mind me suggesting that both of you team up together. You get along well with everybody so I figured that you wouldn't have problems working with him." Alyssa asked Aaron. She knew Aaron liked to be a lone wolf sometimes.
