She took a sip of her hot chocolate. "So. Tell me everything." she said. They hadn't really had much of a chance to catch up. Stupid homework and lessons. It ruined her social life. |
I'm SO sorry for my lateness *fails* Quote:
"Yeah but still next year won't be the same." New prefects. He hoped the new female prefect will be as fun as Arya. Not someone who took the rules very seriously. |
Kennedy made his way down to the kitchens. He was up to something and that was evident in his sly smile. When he entered, he first made sure no one was there, then, with shifty eyes he walked over to a table. He set down a wooden basket and opened it. Hmm... Jelly babies. That was his first priority...then...just food. He walked over to the working elves and whispered something to them. This was TOP SECRET. Like...if someone found out they'd have to promise to say nothing of it. Luckily for him, the elves gave their word to say nothing. He looked down at his watch. It was lunch time and he was supposed to be with Aurora, BUT due to his plans he had to reschedule. He sat down while the elves were hard at work. Kennedy almost wanted to get up and help them, but he knew that he'd just get in their way or cause a fire...like the last time he was here. The prefect was snapped out of his thoughts a while later when an elf tapped his knee and looked up at him with its great, big eyes. They were done. Kennedy nodded and placed everything in the basket. With a slight nod and a thank you, he sneaked out of the kitchens. Step one, done. Now, on to step two. :shifty: |
Charlie!<3 Giggle. Had she really beaten him here when it was only a few steps from his common room? Take that Charlie! Now she had things to tease him about. She grinned at her triumph before venturing a little deeper into the kitchen. Surely, there had to be peanut butter in one of these cabinets, right? Without the elves consent, which probably wasn't smart on her part, she started venturing into the cabinets looking for that oh so familiar jar. |

"I know." She said a bit sadly, remembering how sad she'd been with every one of her best friends graduating closing feast. Her own wouldn't be any better, but she was sure there would be no crying. Treyen would make sure of that, certainly. "But it's not like all the fun will be sucked away when I graduate." |
Adam hesitantly walked into the kitchens. Last time he had been here a small fire erupted and he and Kennedy had panicked into numbness, thinking the castle would burn out. As for their brownies, they were never completed. In fact the batter had never even gotten to the point where it should be mixed. Kurumi would've been disappointed in his failed attempt to bake. He stood by the counter waiting for Anya, but soon got bored. Oh, a refrigerator. How convienently placed. Adam searched through all the sections of it until he spotted a red can with a white thin cap at the top. He smiled to himself. Once grabbing out the can Adam looked around to see that he was alone and drowned the whip cream into his face. Half of the cream landing outside of his mouth and dripping onto his robes. "Clean. Very clean." He said to himself, only smudging his robes more with white foam. |
SPOILER!!: Adam! To the kitchen! Anya was excited. She hadn't had the chance to spend time with Adam in awhile. But today they were planning on meeting. She practically skipped all the way down to the kitchens. And a picked painting later, Anya was stepping into the kitchens. She tiptoed up to Adam. "That's a cute look for you." she said with a grin. She didn't know that whipped cream was able to make a mess like this. "You're going to want to rinse that out right away." she commented looking at his robes. Otherwise the little elves might get upset. |
Quote:
Anya then mentioned and suggested what he had been doing. He took off his robe and threw it onto the side of the counter. "I'll just go take a dip in the duck pond or lake later-wash it right off." He said smiling at his own stupid joke. Easy way to get it down. Two for the price of one. A cleaning of the robes and a cleaning of his err... body. "So, Gummy Bear girl.. How do we make the perfect sundae?" What'd she call him Gummy Bear Prefect? Something like that right? So now she was "Prefect Sundae Gummy Girl... I'm gonna let the master get to work. I'll follow along." Oh no. Too long of a nickname. |
Quote:
She smiled. "Ah. So you want to learn the art of the perfect sundae?" she said with a little nod. Aww. And he called her gummy bear girl. Cute. She busied herself with a few cabinets before she located the bowls and ice cream scoop. She slid a bowl across the counter to the Prefect. "Try to keep up Gummy Bear." she said before heading to the freezer and beginning to unload several flavors on to the counter. |
Quote:
What she said was true. "But I won't have an ice cream buddy next term." And that wasn't fun. But at least they still have a couple months away before Arya graduate and he would make sure to spend more time with his female prefect. |
Quote:
"It's an art now?" Adam came for some fun, but this sounded downright serious, almost like a job. His eyes bugged out of his socket. Well, at least now he'd have experience and know how to make the perfect sundae, he'd do his best not to fail her. Because no one as much as Adam that Anya took her sundae's more seriously than school, maybe. How many buckets of ice cream and sweet toppings had she gotten? However much it was, well it was enough. "I'll try to keep up. Just promise me you'll teach me how to make a almost-heartburn sundae." Adam said giving her a cheeky smile. |
Quote:
Shoot. She probably would even join him. She was weird like that. Anya giggled. "I was kidding." she said in a teasing voice. He seriously looked freaked out. "There's not a wrong way to make a sundae." In fact, every way was a delicious way. Anya smiled back at him and handed him an ice cream scoop. "How about we make a BIG one and we call it the "Adam Burn" sundae?" She ducked her head under the counter and reappeared with a HUGE bowl. Forget making two small sundaes. They were going to build the biggest sundae Hogwarts has ever seen! "First, we start with ice cream." she said digging her scoop into the nearest carton. |
Quote:
As far as he knew, Anya took her sweets more than serious. She was the commander of sweets. "I like Burning sundae better. It sounds more brilliant-don't you think? Or Gummy Bear Sundae.." Always have to mention the gummy bears, it was important to her. That's how they met really, talking about gummy bears. Of course they would start with the ice cream. There was no other way. Adam helped her out and beginning to dig out some himself and drop it onto the bowl she had gotten. "So after the ice cream what comes next? The whip cream, chocolate gummy bears, gummy bears, sprinkles, nuts, banana slices... Tell me." Those were the most important ingredients. |
Quote:
Aww. Did he really think she'd get mad? Sweets were fun! She giggled. "Sorry. We're calling this the Adam Burn sundae." she said simply. "This is your first sundae and we're naming it after you." Well... the first sundae they were making together that is. Once the bowl had a good amount of ice cream in it, Anya stopped. What came next? She gave a wicked smirk. "Everything." Whatever they could get their hands on. Starting with chocolate syrup! She grabbed a bottle and begun pouring on a liberal amount. |
Quote:
An evil smirk spread across his face when she said there was no particular order to start the ice cream disaster. He grabbed the whipped cream and shook it, as the bottle suggested but aimed for the top of her hair and he gently topped it on there, so it looked like a small puffy mountain rested on her hair. "Forgot an ingredient." He said laughing as he plopped one red cherry on top of it all. |
Quote:
He would have more ice cream buddies for sure. Why wasn't all of this indirect post graduation talk not bothering her like it had in the beginning of term? "Do you know Kurumi?" |
Quote:
Anya laughed as Adam shot whipped cream straight at her. "Heyyy!" she said between giggle!laughs. "I'm going to have to jump into the lake with you now." She dipped a finger in the whipped cream on top of her head and tasted it. "Oooh! Yummy." She'd just leave the cherry on her head. She snatched up the whipped cream and poured a bit more into her mouth. YUMMMM! "You want some more too?" she asked. |
Quote:
"We're an awful right mess. But hey, I guess we'll have more time to hang out with each other." He shrugged at the comment of the lake swimming. Adam shook his hand. Then he grabbed the chocolate bottle and poured it all over his plate of ice cream and then began to peel away the banana. Somehow, the cut of the banana flew into the air and landed in Anya's dish. He couldn't help but giggle like a little child. "Like a boss." "What else should we add on?" |
Post #7 - Placing second vase The kitchens of the castle might not be the kind of place Amelia thought she'd place a flower vase, but she was heading here none-the-less. She figured that it might be nice for the House Elves to see some pretty flowers while they worked, and well... the kitchen was a very drab looking place. All it held really was cooking equipment, utensils, counters, and replicas of the tables in the Great Hall. Hopefully they wouldn't mind her placing one of her vases in their kitchen on a nice shelf where it wouldn't be in their way while they were cooking. Locating said shelf, she headed over to it and carefully placed the vase. It was easier said than done as she had to lift the vase over her head and make sure that she actually placed it properly so that it didn't end up spilling water and flowers all over her. "There." She stood back and admired her work before walking off to get her third arrangement. |

Anya laughed once more. "That's perfectly alright with me." she said with a smile. And she was on to Adam's little game. Anya... who was busy piling on the sweets to her sundae... laughed at the sudden appearance of a banana. "Nice trick." she said flicking a gummy bear in his direction. That's right! Payback! What else? She tilted her head to the side and eyed the sundaes. "Crushed oreos." she decided. |
Quote:
So, when the girl felt hands on her sides, and her name practically screamed at her, she couldn't help but flail and shriek girlishly out of pure surprise. She had never liked being touched and had always preferred her personal space, but she never really told anyone because she knew it would most likely bring up questions and.. she didn't exactly want to answer those. Next thing the blond knew, she was losing her balance and- falling off of the counter she had previously been occupying. |
Quote:
But Adam didn't want to take up her time. She was 11 and he was 16, she'd much rather hang out with her younger aged friends right? "Unless you want to hang out with a particular friend of yours?" He asked her with a sly smile. Yes. Adam just went there. On the outside he kept a cool face but on the inside he was grinning at his ability to want to make this awkward. "It wasn't a trick." Adam pouted. It had though, trick or not, been cool. The way the banana had soared in the air and found itself directly into Anya's plate. "Still, it was cool." Before Anya could get out any utensils to crush the oreo's Adam got out the package of the cookies unwrapped them from their blue wrappings set them on a plate and began to crush them with the soft part of his palm. "Hmmm.. this is boring." And so he begin to play a very wild, almost forest hunting tune as he cracked the cookies into small snowflake sizes. |

Minus restaurant workers. She blinked. "Who?" she asked. "Oh. You mean Alec?" she asked. That's usually who people meant. "He probably has quidditch practice or something." she said with a shrug. "He spends a lot of his time in the yellow common room too." She giggled. "Very cool." she agreed. Adam was silly. She liked it. He was very fun to be around. She giggled more as the older boy attacked the oreos... and hummed a little tune. "I think you've done a good enough job." she said with a grin. The oreos looked thoroughly smashed now. |
Quote:
Adam shrugged at her average comment of Alec. Honestly, he expected her to stop the sundae making for a few seconds to give him a startled look, but she talked about Alec as if that were her's and his conversation ALL the time. "Oh, well, it sounds like he's a busy guy. But you're best friends right, so you'll still talk to each other." And his attempt of making something awkward had no happened. "Right. Looks like I murdered them, not crushed them." Adam teased, pointing at the black and white sand pebbles. Then he began to shake his hands madly about. "Good thing to.. They feel like they're on fire and are all stiff." He leaned forward to look at what other ingredients they needed to incorporate into their delicious snack. |
