Christopher's stomach once again sank as he realized what had to be done. It really did have to be done too, it was for a grade. And he was far too afraid of Professor Lafay to not do his homework.

With a hidden gulp, the fourteen year old lion reached into his bag, turning his head so the Hufflepuff couldn't see his face, with a slight frown and pulled out a small flask, containing a light coloured potion that smelled like air right after it rained. That was his favourite smell. Though he wasn't sure on how well it would taste.... But his potion making skills weren't too bad, so he tried to stay confident and wiped the thought from his mind.

The flask was labled in small, messy handwriting, 'Hate Potion.' The frown still on his face, he handed it slowly over to Violet, determined not to let her see how nervous he was. Selina had warned him about making her worried, and he wanted to start the homework off on a good note. Goodness knows they needed it.

Good gravy, he did not want to do this assignment.

Violet squealed a little bit with excitement when he said he would get the Sugar Quills. The next thing she noticed was Chris' facial expression change completely and a puzzled look appeared on her face. Then she noticed him reach into his bag for something. Violet then looked completely puzzled when he suddenly handed her a flask. She looked at the messy handwriting and read what was written. Violet slowly closed her eyes for a moment and then she slowly opened them again and looked into his eyes. Violet said softly,"...Now?"

A mini heart-attack had occurred inside of Christopher as Violet became solemn and worried. This was exactly what he'd been trying to avoid! Drats, and he thought he'd done so well. Trying to ease any other tensions, he shrugged and replied coolly, "Well, yeah, I mean, it's really no big deal. And we have to do it eventually since it's for a grade, so why don't we do it now just to get it out of the way?" He said it with confidence, feeling a little better as he spoke. How much harm could one potion do to someone's relationship anyway?

Looking back down at her, he confined on, determined not to make a big deal of it. It was just homework. "So are you ready? I mean, do you have your flask on you by chance?" When he said it was no big deal it made Violet worry a little more, what if something was said between them that they would regret and end up breaking up? Would it be something to make them never want to speak to each other again?

Aside from the worries, deep down Violet knew that it was all for the class. When he asked if she was ready and if she had the potion on her she sighed again. Violet opened her flower bag and reached into it, of course her little purse had an expansion charm inside it like most the of things Violet carried around with her, so most her arm was inside the bad digging around for it. A few seconds later Violet pulled her arm out holding onto a vile containing the hate potion. Violet sighed again and then handed the vile over to Chris.

And with that, Chrisopher took the potion she held and swallowed it down in one swift motion. A tingling in his throat and stomach occured, and he could feel a change. Somehing inside of him felt very different. The smile that had earlier occupied his face, however, soon fell sour and the boy shuddered. Looking at the vile in disgust, he said with a wrinkled nose, "Ugh, your potion tastes worse my mother's cooking. You must really be rubbish in that class."

Jez entered Honeydukes and looked around at the beautiful sweets lining the shelves. Heaven - pure juvenile heaven. She glanced at her Christmas present list, mentally ticking off her 9-year-old brother Than's present - Assorted Honeydukes sweets.
Hmm, what would Than like? Jez inspected the fudge, candies, gum, and other appetising delicacies. She finally chose a pound of Chocolate Dragon fudge, Drooble's Best Blowing Gum, 15 Chocoballs, a packet of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, 3 Fizzing Whizbees, and even a Jelly Slug. Jez was just about to pay for the lot, when she thought about her friends. They would need presents too, and what better gifts than sweets? She chose out 30 Chocoballs and 10 Chocolate Frogs - that should be enough, right? - and paid 7 galleons 14 sickles for the whole loot. She hoped her parents would find it in their hearts to give her money this year instead of their usual socks or books on histories of pureblood families.

"Sounds like a plan to me." Marie knew that once they got comfy in the room of requirement it wouldn't take Matty long to fall asleep. That was alright with her though. He was so cute and adorable when he slept that she didn't mind watching him sleep. Plus if he was sleeping then she could catch up on her homework. Not that she really wanted to do that, but it would be something to do... that is if she didn't fall asleep herself. Homework sorta had that effect on her.

Leave it to James to taste like parchment and tofu, darn conformist. When she heard his shrewd comment she raised one eyebrow and picked his hand off of her shoulder and shoved it away. Violet scoffed,"At least my mother cooks for me...Without trying to poison me first.."

"How dare you bring her into this?!?" he growled, glaring down at that stupid brat. His family was an incredibly sensitive subject and she knew that. She was supposed to have been there for him during those hard times too, but leave it to Le Veela to be a back stabbing jerk. "And at least my mother and father didn't have to buy out the entire city of Versailles so she could go blow her money on shoes instead of things of actual value and importance, thank you very much!!!" he snapped. He was tempted to shout a few profanities under the loud noise of the shop, but refrained. He was taught not to curse, especially in front of ladies. However, Le Veela certainly was no lady, and he hated her with a burning passion. But still. He was way better than that.

When he tried to insult her with the Versailles comment Violet just simply shrugged her shoulders and sneered,"At least my parents did it for my family..Together...For their children...Because, my parents, unlike someone I know, actually care about their children and love their children.." She flipped some of her hair out of her face and placed her hand on her heart and said crudely,"So excuse me for you being jealous because you're mother couldn't care less about you.."

My mother and father actually had to work hard like a real human being, and my sister and I had to face real problems at home and at school, rather than SOMEONE I know who goes around thinking she's some stuck up princess who's too perfect for everything!!!" he yelled, trembling slightly. That stupid Puffer really boiled his blood.

Christopher, with fists still tight, stated at the ground coldly as she mocked his family and his life. In a sad, harsh way, she was right. And he hated her for it.

He mulled over the concept of Selina just pitying him but founded it highly improbable. Violet was just being her usual snobby self and trying to make people feel beneath her because she was so insecure about her sheltered life and whatever. Girls were so stupid.

"At least I'm not some personality-lacking harpie that people only like because of her looks," he said softly yet dangerously, his eyes like daggers meeting hers. "People actually like me for who I am, Violet. Can you say the same?" His voice was soft but it was still icy. "Which is totally weird, because I'd never want to hang out with some girl who makes people think she's perfect, when she's really just a mean, hideous, inhuman, creature."

Crazy pure blood freaks going straight for the genes and testosterone. Next she'd probably insult him and his family further by making fun of the fact that they were Muggles or that they were poor or something. Sick freak, she was.

"There's nothing going on between Selina and me! Are you really that afraid of me being with another girl?! Are that afraid of being out shined by Selina, because you know how much smarter and how much more talented of a witch she is?! Because that's really pathetic, Violet, it really is. She means nothing more than a sister and a best friend to me, alright?! You know, she likes that Gideon kid anyway, so calm your precious little head down and go on with your perfect little life," he mocked, ignoring the question stares of his peers. Right now, all he wanted was to hurt that little witch as much as she'd hurt him.

The boy was genuinely surprised at Violet's next comment. "What does any of this have to do with Cass? Leave her out of this. I'm not dating her, am I? No. Unfortunately, it's you I'm currently with." Which made him think.... Why was he even with Violet in the first place? He hated her! Suddenly, little flashes of happy times of just the two of them hanging out by the lake or walking around the grounds of Whitley Hall appeared in his brain, but he pushed them out, too furious at the moment to care.

*Smiling warmly down at her Matty took her hand in his and headed back to the castle. A nice warm fire and comfy couch sounded like the best place to be, as long as Marie was with him. They both knew that he would fall asleep so why try and fight it.*

How long has it been? A year? Half a year? Months? Or just weeks? Zara didn't know. All she knew was that right now she was once again in Hogsmeade, probably the first time she ever actually did something besides mope around. For this term, she hasn't attended classes. 'Might as well fail them all. It doesn't matter anyway.' She'd think to herself always. What has Patroclus done to her life. What indeed.

Entering Honeyduke's, she made her way straight to the counter having picked out her favorite, Drooble's Best Blowing Gum. On her way to pay for the gum she had in hand, she saw Nessie. Nessie, her best friend. Nessie, the girl whom she hasn't seen in what seemed like ages. Nessie, whom Zara had wanted to talk to for the past few months but can't since Zara'd been always locked up and alone, pushing away all people who tried to comfort or talk to her in any way possible. It was Nessie. NESSIE!

"NESSIE!" Zara almost screamed as she hugged her best friend, not minding the people who turned their heads to glare at her disturbance to the peace inside the shop.

It was Erin's first time in Hogsmeade walking alone. She was with her friends the last time. They were rather busy with homeworks and special friends including their ~~boyfriends and girlfriends~~. Making her way inside the Honeydukes shop, Erin picked her favorite chocolates. She could survive just with them.

Was that...? That was Nessie, Erin was sure. And someone shouted her name. Who was that? Erin turned towards the voice, she did not look familiar. Staying at her spot for a little while, she watched them exchange their thoughts. And when they're done, she'll approach her friend Nessie. But she had that certain urge to befriend that Gryffindor girl. She was just shy.

No it couldn't be..or could it? Nessie noticed a girl that looked EXACTLY like Zara, not that Ness thought it was Zara. She turned back to her shopping not wanting to be rude by staring at the girl. It couldn't be Zara her best friend, because apparently Zara had left the school or at least thats what Ness had heard. Either way it just couldn't be Zara. Nessie really did miss her best friend and she would have done almost anything to see her.

Wait why was shouting her name? Ness turned only to see the Zara looking girl shouting out her name. It just had to be Zara because who else would shout Nessie's name so loud. "Zara? Is it you?" she had to ask to be certain, she didn't feel like embaressing herself by shouting to a complete stranger. As the girl gave her a hug, Ness knew for sure it was her best friend. "OMG ZARAAAAAA! it is you." she gave her best friend a tight hug back never wanting to let go, she had gone through too much without her best friend and she wouldn't let her bestie ever leave again.

It was as though all her problems were gone, as though none of them ever had happened. Having her best friend back was the best thing that would ever happen. There were many unanswered things that she wanted to talk to Zara about, but they'd catch up later now she was just too happy to worry about catching up.As Ness pulled back from the hug she noticed a familiar looking first year watching them. She gave the firstbie a grin, being the Hufflepuff she was she beckoned for the firstbie to join them, she knew Zara wouldn't mind.

Nothing could compare to the joy she felt within. Zara finally felt something besides remorse, regret, sadness, and anger. For the first time, a light shone through her life after that incident that turned her world upside down. And here she was now, happy. Happy, after half a year's worth of tears and grieving. Happy, in the company of the only person who stayed for her despite her sudden disappearance. Not exactly disappearance since she was still there, just unnoticed, her head down low and no one could possibly notice it was her. Not unless they forcefully raise her head up since no one could ever get a decent conversation with the Zara lurking around for the months that have passed.

'Nessie. It's Nessie.' Zara continued to repeat to herself in her mind as she was lost in the moment. Hugging someone after what seemed like an eternity. It was pure bliss in her tiny heart that had been recently been filled with emptiness. Then Nessie suddenly pulled back. Zara didn't want to let go, but it would probably be awkward to stay like that forever. She let out a smile and looked at who Nessie was grinning at.

Oh. It the stranger who Zara noticed to be staring at them for quite a while. She let out a smile to the little badger, who was probably a first year. Zara had wanted to do something more to make the firstie more comfortable or at least make her feel welcome but she knew no more since she was still in the process of recovering from the downfall. Maybe later, she'd be able to adjust. Or at least say hi.

'Zara, say hi. Be polite. It's a start.' She thought to herself, as her brain slowly processed what she was thinking. And finally, after a few seconds delay, Zara managed to let out an almost inaudible, "Hi."

Ryan walked into the shop and stood in the middle because he didn't know what he wanted.Forgetting about himself he leant over to Chelsea and whispered to her ''You like Chocolate?''

"Of course" she replied. Who doesn't she thought to herself. She looked around, why hadn't she came here yet? The school year was almost over and she was now visiting Honeydukes. There were so many sweets she didn't know what she wanted/where to even start.

"Awh how sweet of you" she smiled and started to look around. She picked up a sugar quill and some maple fudge...yum! Turing to him "Thank you" and she kissed him on the cheek.
